I drove a Sienna minivan and my car went over the parking line, luckily the lot was fairly empty so I didn't feel so bad about taking up the extra space. They offer typical Cantonese style breakfasts. It's a self serve operation here. You order via app, kiosk or through a person and you find a seat and wait for your number to be called. Then you just pick up your tray when your food is ready, and bring it back to your table. When you're done eating, bring your tray to the to the counter for them to clean up. I loved the various food statues located throughout the restaurant, they are so cute and make for great photo ops! My girlfriends and I got essentially the same breakfast combos with the exception of different porridge ingredients. I opted for breakfast combo #3, which included porridge, rice roll, and a drink (I got hot ying yang tea). Iced drinks are $1 extra. The food here is tasty and best of all is reasonably priced! I love that they have porridge toppings that you can put on. The roasted peanuts were so so good! If I could say anything negative about this place it would be their regular menu needs reformatting. Honestly their regular menu was really confusing to understand. I thought maybe it was just me, but my friend also expressed her frustration with trying to understand the menu. Luckily the employee came by and showed us the breakfast special menu, which was exactly what we were wanting to order and so much easier to understand. I definitely want to bring my family here to try more of the menu as I know they will enjoy it as much as I did!

I wanted to try Chan Kee in Monrovia but they closed down before I got the chance to. My friend who's had CK before said they've changed their menu and it was now pretty overwhelming. We ordered a congee with a side of saucy rice noodle rolls and a wonton beef stew noodle soup to share. You basically order the base (congee or noodle) then add the options for an extra charge. Each entree/side/drink combo came about to nearly $20. The rice noodles and wonton noodles were pretty good. They give alot of congee but taste was just okay. Decor was cute. Food didn't take too long to come out considering there was only one person working and it was also a random Monday afternoon. Overall, just okay and I feel like I could get tastier food for better prices in the mpk/sg/alhambra area.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

I ordered an avocado toast (like their namesake) with smoked salmon on top and it was delicious. There was a good amount of avocado and smoked salmon. The hash browns chips were so yummy it deserves its own paragraph. If you are a fan of crispy fries, this is it. I loved to each these chips with ketchup and some Tabasco sauce. I found myself disappointed there weren't more hashbrown chips, not because I wasn't full, but because my taste buds wanted more!

I appreciate all the patience from my waiters. They do make sure I understand my order and receive what I order. Not everything is perfect though. For some reason, I never had good experience with the host. They always told me to sit outside and wait while there's many empty tables. This time the guy obvious took his sweet time and may had forgot I had come in to get table until all my parties went inside to wait right in front of him. Me with a big 9-month pregnant belly stood there waiting for him to take his sweet time to get us to one of many empty tables. That doesn't bother me much. Unfortunately the room had some plumbing issues and the bathroom was a little rundown in my opinion (on top of the loud noise coming from downstairs) but I want to compliment the friendly staff overall in this review. Something that affected my stay was the pool situation. I was shocked when I discovered how small the pool area is for such a nice big hotel overall. There wasn't enough lounge chairs or anywhere to sit in general. Everyone was playing their own music loud, some louder than others, a bunch of kids splashing everywhere and I was surprised by this since I was thinking this would be a calm, peaceful resort setting. I was honestly surprised that there was no security at the time to enforce anything. Overall I tried to make the best of the circumstances but I will never return to this pool unfortunately. This hotel in general does have great views though. Once again, this review is mainly to compliment, Michael because he made this not so pleasant experience, a better one because of his kindness and accommodations so thank you Michael
