I dig this place! Small hole-in the wall ship with big big flavors :) Just about every time I visit, the tables are nearly filled. The timing is uncanny because I keep running into highly social, blue collar professionals with quite the appetite. And y'know what? Based on how comfortable they are with the staff, I can tell they are regulars that truly enjoy the food. That alone should tell you a lot! Definitely gotta show some love to their Taco Tuesday special (.89 cents for most; $1.99 for other proteins if I remember correctly). I'm rarely in the area these days, but their fish tacos with the salsa verde are so delicious. My friend who introduced this place to me actually grew up eating here after school. For a small place it has a big menu. We stopped by for taco Tuesday but were a bit too late to miss the madness for the .89 street tacos. There wasn't any line for ordering so I got my order in pretty quick for 7 straight tacos and two hard shell. But we did wait well over a half an hour to get our order they filled about 30 orders in the time we were waiting. The phone was going off the hook. So I guess it's a good place if you have a lot of mouths to feed for cheap. The tacos we got, carnitas was nice and a pastor just okay quality but nothing I would go out of my way for. Salsa wasn't flavorful. The hard shell tacos were disappointment at $4 each. That person didn't like the minced chicken either. I may try breakfast. They get an extra star for the hardworking staff and the low TT price. Fancier fillings like shrimp, lengua can be had for 2.49. There is a bare bones eat in area but it's a tad warm. This review is long overdue because I get takeout from here often but I finally visited during Taco Tuesday to take advantage of their sale and let me tell you... it will take a while. They have the best lengua I've ever tried so I called ahead to order lengua, carne asada, and al pastor tacos. They told me it would be ready in 15 minutes but it ended up being close to 45 minutes. I wasn't happy about the wait but nothing I could do about it because another (at least) 10 different groups were also waiting for their order. The good thing is that they check every order to ensure it's corect so I appreciated that. And the lengua is always as good as I remember it to be so they got quality under control. My typical order is a lengua burrito with no rice but these lengua tacos might be a close first. read more

Been going to this spot for years, and it definitely deserves a review. As my accessible go-to in the area, I make sure to go to at least one Taco Tuesday each visit. Solid al pastor, shrimp, and birria tacos, birria burritos. Tender, flavorful birria that I can have without the dip to save my sodium intake so my blood pressure doesn't skyrocket. My only disappointment is that they no longer offer the great aguas frescas they used to. I always used to get jamaica and horchata, which never missed. They offer Jarritos now as drinks. May be a result of the pandemic. For folks who rely on your aguas frescas fix with your meal, you'll have to look elsewhere for the drink. Service has always been great, friendly, fast. It might be a good idea to phone in orders, as I'd seen some offices buy literally ALL the birria before noon on Taco Tuesday once They may have remedied this, since months later, they got plenty of birria at 12:43 this Taco Tuesday. SERVICE: a couple of seats inside but not a lot, cashier and servers were helpful and prompt with the food. Overall great experience, they didn't ask for a tip either. Came from Taco Tuesday $0.89 tacos ($1.99 for special ones), here's my summary: Carne Asada- 2/5 a bit dry not entirely dry, not really much flavor Birria- 1.5/5 most dry flavor alright and typical like usual birria. Texture not like soft like usual birria though. Probably the worst birria I've had, but birria is still good overall so 0.5 points there Lengua- 4.5/5 soooo tender probably the best here. Flavor was pretty good but not ALL the way there Chorizo- 5/5 probably one of the best chorizo I've had. So juicy and tender. Still prefer lengua though because lengua taste is always just better for me. Al pastor- 3/5 a bit dry and flavor is standard Tripas- 1/5 remind me to never get tripas here. Too dry and overcooked it got stuck in my teeth too Shrimp- 4/5 could tell it's fresh and flavor and crisp was great Fish- 2/5 a bit like fish and chips fish. Los Amigos is one of my family's favorites taco places. We always get the tacos on Tuesday since they have the Taco Tuesday promo. But we also like to order their Wet Burrito or nachos/fries. Everything is always really good. During lunch/dinner time sometimes they got really busy so they barely answer phone call orders. The wait time on Tuesdays can be a little bit longer, however, they are very quick at serving customers. Inside of the restaurant is nice, but pretty small. We got some tacos via Uber Eats delivery and we ordered tacos (3 pcs) with medium drink (asada, carnita, al pastor, pollo, chorizo, cabeza, and tripas pescado), fish tacos, Quesadilla (with meat), etc. Their price was great and the portions were big except the fish taco size was a bit small and I prefer more crunchy on the fish tacos. They put a lot of sour cream on all of our orders, I like sour cream but it was a little bit too much. The quality of the meat were okay. CHEAPEST carne asada nachos/fries place I've been to so far. All others are $9+ and they don't give NEARLY half as much as Los Amigos does. Just look through my photos. You'll see what I'm talking about. I was immediately in SHOCK! Look at the THICKNESS of the filling, they do not skimp on the toppings AT ALL! Each nacho had more than enough filling, and that's what I love and look for when I crave eating Mexican food. They give: guac, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, cheese, cilantro, and beans. The meat was SO good too!!! The carne asada was well-seasoned, not too salty but not bland either. I can't believe for the price of just less than $8, I get all this?! And of course, I didn't finish it in one sitting. Here's a tip for ya: Left it in the fridge, took it out and AIR-FRIED it. AND LEMME TELL YA... that was the bomb. Airfrying the nachos and filling again made it taste just so much better. I've also had their tacos! LESS THAN $1 for taco tuesday, a price you can't beat. Ordered the carne asada fries and added beans. It has been a while since I have had this dish, so I was really looking forward to it. But the fries were charred and so oily that it totally ruined what I expected from this meal. You could see the pool of oil at the bottom.
