This place is super cute and so cozy! They have so many books and cute decor. The dumplings and the croquette curry was good. My boba was fine it was too citrusy for a winter melon tea. But other than that the boba was chewy and the servers were nice. I had a good experience!
Nice tea shop tucked into a strip mall on Pierre Street. It's spacious inside and comfortable. There are tables and a sofa area. A nice place to relax and enjoy a tea and do some schoolwork on your laptop. They have teas and food. Small chicken nuggets fries. I had a black tea. They give you a reusable plastic cup for your tea. Great idea and useful. They don't have Splenda though, just sugar and another sweetener that I don't use. I will return soon.
Great place to relax and have a drink with friends. It's located inside a strip plaza on Pierre Rd and Valley in Walnut, and it's also close to the Walnut High School. It's very spacious inside and comfortable. My daughters also like this place. We tried many of their drinks, and I recommend getting the 100% sugar level because I picked 75% and it did not taste sweet at all. The service was a bit slow because we waited about 15 minutes for our drinks every time. The price is reasonable.
This tea shop is tucked away in a quieter part of Walnut, but it's a nice little spot if you're in the area. From my previous visits, I do agree with the other reviews that it gets pretty busy around 1-3 PM on weekdays with high schoolers, but it calms down after 4. This time, I came in around 6 PM, about an hour before closing, and it was mostly empty. The space is roomy and decorated nicely, with plenty of seating, including couches, and there are outlets along the wall. They also have free Wi-Fi, making it a decent low-key study spot. One thing I appreciate is their expansive drink menu. I also like that they serve both drinks and snacks, including bentos. I've tried their popcorn chicken before which tasted pretty standard. I think I've seen a menu for oden but I haven't tried it yet. There's a display corner with figurines you can buy, which adds some personality. There are two bathrooms that have always been clean and well-maintained. Parking has never been an issue for me; it's right out front and usually easy to find a spot. What I got: *Fried chicken fillet bento ($6.99): You get to choose your sauce (I went with curry) and three sides (I picked edamame, corn, and tofu). It also comes with rice. I didn't have to wait too long because it was the end of the day, and the quality is what you'd expect for the price, but it hits the spot. I think it's worth the detour if you're nearby and looking for a place to study or catch up with friends, but best to come early or after the after-school rush dies down.

There was also a decently sized anime figurine collection to enjoy. I ordered the Japanese Curry bento along side with my Assam Black Milk Tea (half and half milk, 100% sweet) Japanese Curry Bento: 2.5/5. For $8.99, I felt like I got what I paid for. In terms of quantity, there is enough to fill me up for lunch. However, the quality was middling. The curry tasted like slightly watered down Japanese box curry. The croquettes had some flavor and was fairly creamy inside but unfortunately was soggy due to being placed on the curry sauce. The tamagoyaki mostly tasted sugary without much other flavors. The rice tasted like it was sitting out for a few hours. The deep fried gyozas were decent at least. Nice, crunchy, with a umami filled filling. I wouldn't order this specific bento again, but it was decent enough that I would like to try the other bentos in the future. Assam Black Milk Tea: 3/5. A very average milk tea. The 100% sweet wasn't too overbearing, and the tea flavor was notable. I could taste the sweet creaminess of the half and half as well. Nothing special about the drink but very solid.
Slow, af waited 20 minutes for 4 wings and a tea drink, that just required the tea to be poured into a cup, no milk, no boba. checked the eta for order. She said 20 more min. asked to cancel the order. She came back saying 5 minutes. We were about to wait 40 minutes for 4 wings and tea with ice if we didn't ask to cancel the order 20 minutes in. But when we complain to cancel it's 5 minutes. Drink was good. Standard tea, nothing special. Chicken was good. Would not recommend visit during after school hours, which is after 2pm in California as it's packed with students. Edit to your response: You said you did not finish the order in 5 minutes because of the complaint, but I was told 20 minutes prior to wanting to cancel my order. Then after wanting to cancel it they said it would be 5 minutes. So please address how it went from a 20 minute wait to 5 minute wait post cancelation request. I also understand chicken wings take about 20 minutes. I worked in food service. So that's 20 minutes in a fryer, and everyone else is just hovering over the wings for the next 20 minutes? I also have a friend who owns bubble tea shops and it definitely does not take 25 minutes to brew tea. I understand I am not the only guest but please do expect negative reviews if it's going to be one order per 20 to 40 minutes. How would we know it is going to be a long wait? At tastetea, they inform us when we order that it's going to be a 40 minute wait if it is going to be a long wait. Am I suppose to assume it's going to be a 40 minute wait each time it's past two and there are student? If this was communicated right after I ordered, that it would be a long wait, I would have visited another shop and would not have left a review. In addition, Would you not assume if it's a to go order, I'm trying "to go" and not looking wait 40 minutes? Very cute inside and ample seating. I had the pineapple fruit tea and my boyfriend had the white peach oolong. I found my drink to be refreshing. Our drinks came out quickly. If I was in the area I would come back.
I found this tea shop on Yelp. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The inside of the shop is very spacious with over 10 tables. This place is perfect to get some work done. All of the tables have a QR code menu, and you're also able to place an order at the front or on a kiosk. It was quite busy when I stopped by with about 15 guests. I ordered 2 drinks on the kiosk. A winter melon tea with Aloe and a roasted oolong tea with cheese foam. I customized the drinks to 50% sweet. It took approximately 20 minutes to get the drinks.The winter melon tea was a bit sweet at 50%. The roasted oolong tea was perfect. If I got the winter melon, I would probably adjust the sweetness to 25%. Overall, it's a good experience but not a place you can expect to be in and out in 10 minutes or less. It's a popular place for the local students to come to after school. You can skip the wait and order online prior to coming in.
I had a poor experience at Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut). I ordered the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea ($4.75) w/ Whole Milk (75 cents) and Brown Sugar Boba (additional 75 cents). Unfortunately, it's a frugal, bland drink with tasteless, squishy boba. There's no tea flavor.... this drink tastes like tap water with milk. (Quick Note: If you don't request milk, they use powder.) I arrived at Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut) on Friday (around 12:24PM). The customer parking lot had plenty of spots. Parking is easy. Customers order at the counter or self-service kiosk. Staff is welcoming, laid back, and helpful. My drink took about three minutes. Quick. As mentioned, I disliked the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea ($4.75) w/ Whole Milk (75 cents) and Brown Sugar Boba (additional 75 cents). It tastes like "nothing." The flavor of watered-down milk and water jello balls encapsulates its flavor profile. The boba was not bouncy; rather, the texture resembles deflated marshmallows. However, the lovely ambiance at Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut) is the ONLY reason why the review score is so high. Despite the awful, frugal drinks, this business is a college student's hidden paradise. The location is very clean, calming, and comfortable. There's about 15 tables, and there's about 8 electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; the details are on a small card at the counter. This location also has a self-service water station and a gender neutral restroom. Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut) is also decorated lovingly. I appreciated the book aesthetic and the hanging leaves. It's also very quiet inside. The location felt like a well-ventilated, comfy library. If searching for a study spot, this is such an easy recommendation. Overall, I had a mixed experience at Qyuancha Teashop (Walnut). The location is a cozy, creative study/work spot, but the tea is very bland, poorly made, and unmemorable. This business screams wasted potential. lovely tea shop! their drinks are cheap and are very tasty. they have lots of seating space, so it is perfect for studying or just hanging out. staff are friendly. do be warned that on weekdays around 3-5 pm a bunch of students come from the nearby high school, so it gets really busy and crowded around that time. read more

Visited this nice tea shop in Walnut recently. The cafe offers a fair amount of seating, making it ideal for studying or working, and provides free Wi-Fi. However, parking and seating can be limited during busy hours (after school maybe 2:00pm and onward) We ordered their popcorn chicken, which comes in multiple flavors like lemon pepper, Curry, Hot Lime, and Garlic Onion. We chose Garlic Onion -- it was alright. The chicken was cooked nicely, but the powdered seasoning didn't have much flavor. Customer service was good; we were the first customers, and they brought our drinks and food directly to the table, though I'm not sure if that's typical. Their fresh watermelon drink was good, but I regret choosing 0% sweetness--it definitely needed some sweetness for better taste. Additionally, they have a bookshelf where you can grab a book to read during your visit. At the back, there's also a spot with anime figurines and collectibles for purchase--might need to ask staff for assistance on that. Overall, a decent spot to hang out or get some work done. read more

They recently opened their hours to open in the morning and they have a special going on for buy a breakfast meal over $5 and get a free drink. I got the taiwanese sausage burger with teriyaki sauce and hot matcha latte. They were both really good! The patty was rice with furikake and was really fun to eat. The matcha was foamy and I got it at 100% sweet. I like my drinks on the sweeter side and it tasted great. I previously ordered a green milk tea, but I'm not so much a fan of that one. Located in a quiet small plaza down the street from Walnut High School, Qyuan Cha Tea Shop is the perfect place to study. Relaxing, somewhat minimalistic decor, lots of houseplants abound, plenty of seating, and polite, attentive service. The thing that makes it somewhat hilarious to me is the glass display of anime figures in the back. Juxtaposition of theming just makes me think cafe space was also used to store these figures too, considering some of them are quite massive. Random, but it's all generic shonen (One Piece, Naruto, Dragonball, etc.) and Kaguya-sama lol. We got the: 1) Oolong Milk Tea (100% sugar): -Pretty sweet, but not scathingly so. -Standard oolong milk tea. 2) Peach Oolong Milk Tea (50% sugar): -Starts out just like the oolong milk tea but ends with a nice peach flavor. -You can taste a bit more of the tea with reducing the sugar. -It's alright honestly. 3) Sweet Potato Fries (Regular size): -Nicely fried, not overly soggy in the slightest as that is the curse with some sweet potato fries. -Salted nicely too. Delicious. 4) Curly Fries (Regular size): -You can choose different seasoning flavors like lemon pepper, garlic & onion, curry, BBQ, & Hot Lime as well as adjusting the spicy levels. -The flavor offers here are super unique as I've never seen hot lime as a flavor that wasn't a hot chip. -I ended up ordering the curry flavor at mild level and it's pretty good. Slightly sour after taste but not super salty in the slightest. To be honest, I enjoyed the food MUCH MORE than the drinks. I definitely want to come back to try more of their food and maybe find the drink that'll leave more of an impression. read more
When Ms. Bobalicious is in town... you best believe we're getting boba! Pamela L. had plans to meet Paul S. here, and I decided to tag along. We had a large brunch at Aroma Craft Coffee earlier, but there's always room for more drinks. Qyuancha (pronounced choo-en chah) is located in a small strip mall near Walnut High. Plenty of parking here, I found a spot right in front. It was empty on a Saturday afternoon, with just one other patron sitting inside. There are lots of tables, along with a small lounge area complete with sofas and a large bookshelf. In the corner of the room they also have Funko Pops, figurines, and other anime merchandise on display. Their menu has all your favorite milk teas, brewed teas, fruit teas, sago drinks, smoothies, flavored milks, and caffeinated beverages. They also have small bites and desserts. Toppings are 75¢ to $1.50 extra. A communication mishap occurred, I asked for the Assam Black Milk Tea and I got the Assam Black Tea instead. Not the end of the world, I still found it pleasant. Malty with just the right amount of sweetness. Boba was pretty good too, with a soft but decently chewy texture. Pamela liked the Watermelon Milk and how they added fresh watermelon cubes to the drink. Paul also enjoyed the Passion Fruit Tea. I think this one comes with either orange or lemon/lime slices, I forgot which. Overall, a nice place to study and socialize while sipping and snacking! read more

Came here to study on a Sunday afternoon, and I was surprised by the prices. The Assam Black Milk tea was only $2, as was the kiwi fruit tea. There was good tea flavor in the milk tea, and the kiwi was refreshing and not too sour for me. Seems like this place does a lot of various deals, so worth a few more visits to take advantage of these discounts. We got a bit hungry and got the popcorn chicken, which didn't have the discount so that was about $10, and I thought this was average and a bit overpriced. Just stick with the deals on drinks. There's plenty of tables with outlets to study at, the room is well lit, and there's plenty of parking right outside. read more
Date of visit: 8/29/2023 I really really want to give this place a five star coz it's so promising and it's so close to my home lol. Anyways, I ordered 2 drinks: - Taro sago with boba: SKIP IT! the concept is so good on paper, but so lacking in execution. First of all the coconut milk base is just way too thick for it to be called a "drink". Not sure if it's because of the sago, or it's really meant to be so thick like this. Second of all, my drink comes with regular ice, but when I took a sip, I didn't taste any coldness at all. I had to open the cap and even after I mix it, it's just not cold enough for me. So you can imagine, sipping super thick, room temperature coconut milk in a super hot weather like today. Soooo not cool, man! Hence the SKIP IT verdict. On a side note: taro topping uses FRESH TARO mashed, which is a super plus in my book. I love drinks with taro, so one day will definitely try their green tea milk tea with taro & boba. - Kiwi fruit tea with 25% sugar: they use fresh kiwi fruit, not essence/syrup, so I really appreciate this. The only thing lacking in my drink is AGAR BOBA or ALOE VERA for topping! I really wish they have those as topping options as well, but currently they don't! Imo this kind of fruit tea is great with either agar boba or aloe Vera, so ATTN: OWNER/MANAGER, please consider adding those 2 as toppings, PLEASEEEE :) Wanted to try popcorn chicken for snack but was told that it's sold out (at 3:30 pm). Location is so close to Walnut High School (within walking distance). Great place to wind down after coming back from school, get a great cup of drink and maybe study/do homework. no sugar in drinks and rude staff!! Nice service from the lady in the front but the guy in the back making the drinks had rude attitude and was audibly complaining about our order even though they were the ones getting it mixed up. Maybe be a little more discreet if you're complaining about customers in front of them? Tea drinks were awful.. the passion fruit tea had NO sugar in it!!!! It was so bitter. Boba was subpar.. not chewy enough. Two stars cuz the lady in front put in effort, and decor is nice. read more

I love this boba shop. It is the ideal place for college students. Secluded area, plenty of parking, so many tables, plenty of outlets and free wifi. Music was not too loud and they have food and drink options. What more could you ask for??? The menu is outside, inside, on the table, on the self order kiosk. Very considerate to those who may not know where to look! Their options are all fantastic. I got the watermelon milk tea with boba which was the perfect sweetness at 50% boba texture was good as well. Only complaint I have is that the watermelon seeds were massive and I kept chewing them on accident haha. My friend got the oolong tea with boba. I suggest getting 75% or 50% sweet for that as well because it was pretty sweet at 100%. This place is gorgeous during sunset and whoever decorated the place did amazing honestly. Love the cool decor, lots of books and anime merch for sale. My Yelper, Justin L. aka Boba Boy and I start snapping pics. Yelper, Paul S., joined us as well. It didn't take long for us to choose what we wanted. Justin chose Assam Black Tea and without hesitation, Watermelon Milk (with real watermelon diced into the drink) for me. Paul wanted something fruity and chose Passionfruit Tea. All three of us enjoyed our drinks very much. Service was friendly. I will say that it's located in a somewhat deserted looking strip mall. Overall Review: Aesthetically appealing place to relax -- Food and drinks are good but the service is better! Area is spacious and clean as well -- so that's always a plus! Pros: - Basic Tea is good (that means the milk tea will be even better!) - Food is delicious and freshly made. - Boba balls are soft! Finally don't have to drive to Irvine for some good boba (shoutout to Orobae) - Haven't had the desserts yet but they are very aesthetically appealing! - 13 Tables and a whole ton of seating! - Place is unusually large for a Tea Spot! So it's ACTUALLY comfortable to sit and drink your drink here. - Restrooms are clean (that's always a plus) - Overall Aesthetic of the spot is great, making it all the more reason to sit, study, and relax! Local boba shop that is close to Walnut High. Came here to try a tea with my sister and shared a matcha latte. From 5-7pm (as of May 2024), they have a happy hour where you can buy one, get one drink for 50% off. Free parking lot available. Lots of indoor tables are available and there is even a corner with anime merchandise for sale. You order at the kiosk and they call your order once it's ready. The latte was on the sweeter side but good. The size is small so it's best for individuals. The ambiance is quiet and most people there were studying/working. read more
