I'm a teacher in the community, and this Wingstop sponsors our elementary school. As part of that sponsorship, teachers were given a complimentary 10 piece combo voucher as a thank you. When I tried to redeem my voucher in store, two employees told me they could not accept it because the owner had instructed them not to honor these vouchers anymore. I explained that the voucher is still valid and does not expire until June 30, 2026, but they repeatedly stated that the owner said no more vouchers would be accepted. When I asked why a valid voucher was being refused, they could not provide any explanation beyond saying that the owner told them not to take them. Pretty crappy, and in all honesty, pretty low. The sense I got from the employees was that the owner didn't want to give out free food anymore, regardless of the vouchers existence. My kids received coupons from school for a free kids meal valid April 13- June 30th. We went in today to get our meals and the manager Fabian said they would not take the coupons and we would have to pay. When I showed him the dates of the coupon He said that "yesterday" they received a memo stating not to receive these coupons anymore because "school is over." I chose the "No Heat" garlic parmesan flavor of the chicken tenders, they were so crispy and delicious. We liked the garlic parmesan flavor so much. Yesterday, I ordered/paid online, and my 15-pc Lemon Pepper wings, dipping sauces, and carrots were ready when I arrived and stayed hot until I got home, and my order was correct. They have a multi-brand soda machine that has a lot of products/flavors you don't normally see in restaurants. One downside is that it's located across the street from Mt. SAC Jr. College and close to the CalPoly Pomina campus, so lunch time can be quite busy...plan accordingly. There are many restaurants in this little strip-mall, and I've reviewed several...the parking is tight. What an absolute bummer it's been to watch the level of service at this location just dive off a cliff. This used to be my favorite Wingstop location so we let a couple of recent mistakes in our orders slide because they happened on busy nights, but our experience last night really has us considering switching to a different location with a more professional staff. We placed an order directly on the Wingstop site, which we usually do, and picked up our sealed take out bag. When we got home, we noticed one of the side orders was missing so we called the number on the receipt and simply said "hi, we just picked up an order that seems to be missing an item that was paid for." The response was "uhhh..." and then the call was disconnected. So, I called back, giving them the benefit of the doubt. This time, the call was picked up and immediately hung up on while we heard laughing in the background. A bit frustrated and annoyed with how unprofessional this seemed, I called a 3rd time and after several rings, someone picked up and there's still just nothing but laughter on the other end. I slowly begin again to just ask for the item to be credited as it was not included with our order. I was told we would need to return with our whole order to be checked to confirm the item was in fact missing (they're supposed to confirm that before sealing it with the sticker I presume). Of course it was too late to do that as the seal had to be ripped to even notice the missing item and my diabetic mother had already begun to eat some wings. Now, this location is across from a community college, so I'm sure this rule is to keep customers honest, which is understandable, but the solution provided was to give them my name and they would credit the missing side on our next order which needed to be within 30days or the credit would expire. The entire time, nothing but laughter on the other end of the phone.
