After seeing my friend review of this place, and being a fan of Street Fighter, I had to come and check it out. Glad I did. The place is decked out with all sorts of Street Fighter theme. Very cool decors. I loved that they also have the Street Fighter Arcade game for us to play while we wait on our drinks. This theme will last until the end of June 30, 2026. Not sure what the next theme will be. I did ask one of the staffs and she said they are not supposed to reveal what the next theme will be. For the Street Fighter theme, they only have four drinks. 1. Ryu - Lychee Slush with Dragon Fruit Popping Boba 2. Guile - Mango Dream with Military Green Apple Star Jelly 3. Ken - Strawberry Mango Green Tea with Chamoy Swirl 4. Chun-Li - Blue Curacao Lemonade with Lychee Jelly We ended up ordering the Ryu and Chun-Li drinks. Both came in a cool looking Street Fighter theme containers. Both drinks were refreshing, but I like the Ryu drink a little better. Really cute decor in this shop and ample space to drink your boba and catch up with friends. I personally don't know the collab they did with the cartoons, but they are adorable. I did try the collab drinks and they are a bit pricey for the quantity, but I will try a regular drink next time. My wife and I have never been here but for anything Street Fighter I had to check it out. I'm a huge fan of the video game and they hit the mark on everything! There's a specific themed menu for this collab with 4 drinks. The set up is pretty much kiosk ordering, but staff will help as needed. The whole vibe set up inside was so cool! All the table are designed with the stages in the video game. The walls have a bunch of posters. There's a shelf with toys and collectibles. They have the arcade set up for free play of Street Fighter as well. We ended up ordering the Ken & Guile Drinks. My husband and I stopped by to check out their Street Fighter themed drinks. I've never been here before and apparently every month is a new theme. They went all out with their decor, blind key chains, and drinks! Parking was easy. It's shared with the other businesses in the complex. I parked in front of Stater Bros. The bubble tea shop is spacious. They had tables, high top seating, and an arcade. We were greeted when we arrived. We placed our orders on a kiosk, mind you there is only one. I got the Guile drink which was a milk tea with mango puree and apple star jelly. I substituted the milk with oat ($0.75 extra). My husband ordered Ken which was green tea with strawberry mango and chamoy swirl. We played Street Fighter while our drinks were being prepared. After losing two rounds (lol) they were ready. I love when drinks are put in a cup with the pop tab. It's satisfying to hear the "pop" when I open the can. Guile was perfect! The mango puree was fresh and sweet. I could taste the apple in the star jelly. Although they were a bit difficult to grab on every sip, it was enjoyable still when I was able to. The oat milk paired very well. Ken was refreshing. Similar to Guile's, it was perfectly balanced. The mango did not overpower the drink and the chamoy came through. If I had to choose between the two, I would reorder Guile. We decided to visit while they had the Street Fighter theme. Upon arriving, they were so friendly and welcoming. The kind lady at the front, who seemed to be the manager or owner, greeted us and offered us a sample of oolong tea (which was good btw). The decor and everything was super cool! As a street fighter fan, this was pretty impressive. From the tables to the menu and walls...it was all really cool! On top of that, we got to play the street fighter arcade game for free while we waited for our drinks. We ordered the Ken (mango strawberry chamoy) and the Chunlee. The brown sugar flavor was rich and sweet. It came with boba which wasn't what I ordered. Still, the boba had perfect texture as it was soft, gummy, and chewy. Service was great. Was greeted upon entry. Cashiers were friendly. They asked if i wanted a sample to which I declined. I didn't want boba in my drink so I asked if I was able to order it without on the tablet. They said unless I chose the option to add boba, I wouldn't get boba. I didn't specify I wanted boba on the order but they still put it in anyway. I was behind two behind people that ordered and left once they received their drinks. Spacious inside the establishment. It was well-ventilated. Tables are spaced aqaduately. There's counter seating, some tables with chairs, and some sofas with tables. They had Demon Slayer merchandise and Tokidoki merchandise in the corner of the shop. This place has been on my list for a while to try. It's not too far from my house, but the big push was their collaboration of Godzilla with them. My Son is a huge Godzilla fan so of course had to go check it out. Outside on the windows were pictures of Godzilla. They had their menu out of what their specialty for that was went in. I arrived at Thirsty Waters (Rowland Heights) on Monday (around 11:05AM - Near Opening Time). Parking is very easy. The lot is big. It shares the Stater Bros Market's plaza. When I'd arrived, Staff informed me that there would be a 10 minute wait for boba. So I used that time to explore and admire the location. Staff is very professional, charming, and helpful. Staff happily answered all my questions, and Staff maintained a bright, cheery demeanor. At 11:15AM, I used the self-service kiosk to make my order. My drink took two minutes and 30 seconds. There's five tables and one long counter. If I were to nitpick, some parts of the wall looked chipped. Also, there's tiny pieces of unswept trash in the corners. Super cute place! We were picking up food in the area - I need Asian eats even when I'm traveling- and Rowland Heights is the spot! We just got into town from SF on a Wednesday night. A good boba after sitting in that LA traffic was just what needed. It was just before 7pm. There was no one in there except for a guy with a laptop standing at the counter ledge by the window. There is a good amount of space to chill between tables and a lounge chair area. (Many of my go-to spots in SF don't have this much seating -if any at all.) Unfortunately, we didn't stay to enjoy it, as we had to get to get back on the road. The drink menu is pretty clear and fairly simple, but had all the essentials and enough variety for everyone. We paid for Boba, but was disappointed that Boba was not ready and was offered either Sakura Boba or lychee jelly. The staff was very kind and courteous (practically the reason for the 3 stars). She offered us to try the different add-ons and even though we were not sure if lychee jelly would be weird with the coffee, she said it should be good. WRONG. I was in the area and the family wanted some drinks. I found Thirsty Waters on Yelp and decided to give it a try! They have unique menu items, and only three choices of toppings (boba, crystal boba, and lychee jelly). I love that they offer unique milk teas (i.e. dragon well, gyokuro) as well as ceremonial matcha, as many tea places don't use this high quality of matcha. The cashier was super nice and gave good recommendations. I ended up with a Mango green tea with crystal boba, the ube strawberry dream with boba, and the Vietnamese coffee with ube cold foam. The cashier asked if I wanted ube lavender cold foam (it wasn't on the menu) and I absolutely did! My family thought the drinks were great! I really enjoyed my coffee, the cold foam gave it just a hint of lavender and it was so good! I will be trying the roasted barley milk tea on my next visit! We tried the Thirsty Waters at their official Grand Opening event. It's located inside the Stater Bros. market plaza on Colima Road (across 168 Market). It had a long line that day, but we went in the afternoon around 2:30 p.m., and the line was shorter. We waited in line for about 20 minutes to get in. It had BOGO and "Labubu Giveaway" for the Grand Opening (we also got 1 claw machine token for every $5 spent, and we got 3 tokens for a chance to win Labubu). We ordered 3 drinks, and got another 3 drinks for free on the Grand Opening Day. I was finally able to try this tea shop and I'm glad that we did. The menu is pretty solid with a lot of great items and I need to come back to try them. The interior has a lot of seating, is clean and has a good atmosphere to it. The service was great. The employee had answers to our questions, plenty of recommendations, gave us some samples for their green tea, and made sure our orders / modifications were correct. The tea itself is one of the better quality leaves I've had in the area. We actually came last night to grab a honeydew chrysanthemum and returned today to try new drinks. We really enjoyed their honeydew chrysanthemum. It was refreshing, and the honeydew didn't overpower the light chrysanthemum tea. I may have found my new fix after orobae's closure! I got their phoenix oolong with boba today, and it reminded me of orobae's rising phoenix drink! I ordered it less sweet, and the tea was strong and perfect for me. Which is surprising because the interior is currently Godzilla themed. Albeit a niche collab for a boba shop, it was interesting. They even had a tv with the news from a Godzilla movie. They had a screen, which we ordered from and I appreciated the edit option on drinks. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes and the baristas and staff had sweet demeanors. Now let's move on to the drinky drinks and grub. I'm still on my osmanthus tea addiction phase (but not really a phase) and this osmanthus oolong tea was so floral and refreshing. I got less sweet and I think that is the perfect sweetness for this tea, so that all the floral notes have their space to shine. Now I know what you're thinking with the price tag on the garlic parmesan truffle fries, but trust me it's worth. Even before we tried the fries, the pleasantly pungent smell of the parmesan alerted me to how bomb this was gonna be. And we really ate the fries up with yuzu sauce, it was very yummy & crunchy.
