2/10 Got the fruit tea. Honestly tea was pretty good and refreshing, BUT they have BIGGER PROBLEMS... (SEE ATTACHED PICTURE)

Absolutely love the tea flavors at CHICHA San Chen! You can smell the tea fragrance and taste the specific flavors listed in the drink descriptions. The boba texture is also quite nice - balanced and chewy, with the sweetness coming through. I stuck to the popular drinks this time and they definitely exceeded expectations. If you're a passion fruit fan, their version is a must order. Service was fast and friendly. There is also a kiosk ordering option that is helpful. Look forward to visiting again!

Finally got to try it! No line when I got in but I guess the customers before me ordered a lot because I had to wait 18 minutes just for my 1 drink. You can tell that they take the time to brew the tea and make it as people order. I'm surprised that it cost a lot though, paid $9.50 for a regular milk tea with boba. Yes, it tastes good but not that good that I'll be going back.

Cassia Black Tea with Honey ($7.25) and Lemon Condensed Milk ($7.75). 2/21/2026

I have mixed feelings about CHICHA San Chen. On the one hand, their drinks are good, but I feel that they are way overpriced. My order this time was Cassia Black Tea with Honey ($7.25) and Lemon Condensed Milk ($7.75). These are regular sizes and not even large. For $7, I expect at least a larger size for how basic these drinks are. Even though they taste good, I don't think it's worth it. I am taking into consideration that prices everywhere have gone up, but CHICHA has always been pricey even before the price hike and I am hesitant to return due to the cost. One thing I'll say is that this Rowland Heights location was not busy when I went, so at least I didn't have to wait and pay so much for their drinks.

First time trying this place as I have heard their tea are superb. Ordered one of their popular drink- passion fruit high mountain pouchong tea as I love the flavor of pouchong tea. Kind of disappointed that I don't taste too much of the tea flavor but mostly passion fruit. I guess don't trust other's opinions too much until you tried it yourself. Overall, nice drink but falls a bit short of my expectation.

I've only been to this location once. It was a poor experience. Several people who ordered after me got their drinks before I did. I ordered a basic boba milk tea. So there wasn't any excuse about it being delayed due to a specialty drink that takes more time to make. I saw the other people after me also ordered boba milk tea. I asked the staff about my order they were in the midsts of making it. Great I was about to get my order.. spoke too soon. The person who put on the lid spilled my drink so they had to remake it. I thought it would be first in the queue but nope they side lined my cup and started making other people's orders. Eventually my cup was ready then the staff who put the string holder on it decided to take my cup for a spin around the kitchen swinging it walking around and talking to their coworkers. I was mortified. I won't return to this location. This would never happen at the San Gabriel location.

Love the customer service and the Black Tea with Cream. The flavor is on the spot every single time I purchase their drink. Highly recommend the Black Tea with Cream or just their original bubble milk tea

Came back to try their bubble milk tea. I have to say it was a solid milk tea and the boba was warm, sweet, and chewy. For over $8 a drink, youre paying for made to order drinks and quality. I have yet to order something I don't like, but I dont think that will happen. Definitely a great choice for tea and boba!

The tea is exquisite, and the service is on par. The waiter is very knowledgeable about the different tea types, and shows us the individual tea's scent as he explains. My order: High Mountain Pouchong Tea + Organic Milk + Bubble (light sugar, hot): After setting the drink aside for a while, the tea's sweet, refreshing fragrance sinks into the drink. It was light sugar, but the sweetness of the tea/milk made the drink sweeter than expected. Dong Ding Oolong tea + Organic milk + Bubble (light sugar, less ice): Heavy smokey aroma with a light bitterness from the tea. The inside is spacious with very limited seating (2 tables, 4 chairs). The drink is great, the price is on the higher end for the cup size.

Among the availability of amazing boba shops that have served the 626 area for so long, it's hard to still create novel beverages, but this Taiwan chain is welcome to be doing just that! All over the shop they have multiple accolades praising their various teas. From my understanding they use a kind of "teapresso" setup to create a strong, yet smooth tea that makes its presence known in any drink you order. I also love the customizability of the drinks, from different toppings and the different teas that they brew. Their tapioca is cooked perfectly, just the right amount of chew and a little sweet. They also have samples sometimes which is great. A little on the pricier side I will say, but every once in a while a nice treat to have.

Was told this was a tea place I need to try. Usually, I down all my teas because it's so sweet and refreshing, but the tea here? You want to enjoy and savor it. I ordered the creamy mango tart and it was so delicious, you can really taste the quality of tea. It's sweet with mango, the tea was earthy, and was the perfect creaminess without being overly sweetened. Packaging is also nice, along with the ordering system and just watching them make the tea. You can tell they are well trained and precise, and that every cup was made to perfection. The price tag was a little more pricey especially without any toppings, but worth the try.

High Mountain Pouchong Tea with Honey and Taro Balls
    Ryan S.

Been here a few times now and the teas are always solid. Sometimes the line here gets really long when I've been here on the weekend, but this last time was reasonable when I came in during lunchtime on a weekday. I like how easy it is to choose your tea options and added toppings. The taro balls are my favorite topping and they are seasonal. I feel like the drinks could be a little bigger, but overall, this is a great place to grab a drink. There is very limited seating inside, so this is more of a to-go option.

    Grape oolong
    Edbert S.

Overall, you can definitely taste the quality of the oolong tea and the teas taste amazing. I ordered the grape oolong and it was pretty good. I would get light sweetness though. Service, personally, is the best it can be with how busy they can get, especially on the weekends. We literally had to wait up to 1 hr for our drinks. I don't think it's really worth more than a 15 min wait. I wish they had more seating inside but it looks more like a togo spot. Its still one of the better boba places around, but definitely come here off peak times.

Fortunately, I quickly found parking. Staff is professional and polite. Staff gave good recommendations, and Staff answered all my questions. The drink took about five minutes. As mentioned, I ordered the Iron Goddess Milk Tea ($6.75 - Large - 100% Sweetness). The crisp tea taste is pronounced and brewed perfectly (not burnt). Its gentle sweetness soothes the throat, and the flavor of honey and caramel flutters about. It's DELICIOUS! On ambiance, Tenju Tea House (Rowland Heights) is aged, worn-down but well-maintained. The location is a little small; there's about four tables. Fortunately, it feels well-ventilated and airy. In addition, Tenju Tea House (Rowland Heights) also has PLENTY of utility. What I love most here is the ordering experience. There are multiple large touchscreens where you can fully customize your drink -- sugar level, ice level, add-ons, substitutions, you name it. I almost always go for zero sugar, and the fact that I can do that easily is a huge plus for me. It's the kind of flexibility that modern boba shops should all offer. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, which is refreshing compared to some other spots in the area. Is it the most amazing boba I've ever had? Honestly, no -- but the ability to build your drink exactly the way you want it more than makes up for it. There's also a large display screen showing order status, so you always know when your drink is ready. It's a small touch, but it makes the whole experience feel smooth and stress-free. I'll be real though -- I probably drink more coffee from the Starbucks across the street than boba from here. At the end of the day, coffee feels like the healthier daily habit. But when I'm in the mood for something different, this place is where I'll be.

I ordered the Taro Mochi milk tea and customized it to 25% sweetness. I generally don't like my drinks too sweet, but I wasn't sure if choosing 0% sweetness would affect the taro flavor. Thankfully, 25% ended up being perfect. This was easily one of the best taro milk teas I've had from any boba shop. The taro paste really allows the taro flavor to shine independently from the milk tea itself. A common issue I find at other places is that the taro flavor is either too weak or the drink ends up overwhelmingly sweet. Cha Redefined strikes a really nice balance between the two. The mochi is also one of my favorite drink toppings, so I appreciated that they already offer a taro milk tea option that includes it. It paired perfectly with the drink and added a great texture.
