Since it wasn't busy, cashier was happy to assist us. Our Osmanthus Oolong Tea drinks were flavorful, refreshing, and well-made. I like how their drinks come with twine holders. This makes transporting and holding the drinks easier. Overall a decent experience but the high prices and small drink sizes don't justify another visit. The Cassia Black Tea is nice, mellow, and creamy in both Heartsteel and K/DA collab. I think the golden tea jelly in the K/DA collab is a lot chewier than I like compared to grass jelly, however, still really good. Included in the collab is an exclusive champion card and hang tag. Having visited other San Chen locations, I've come to truly admire their high quality teas. This location is no different. This spot is very clean and very spacious. Although there's practically no tables, it's more of a order and go type place. Most times I visited, I had absolutely no wait at all, although I heard that during peak hours it gets pretty busy due to how busy the plaza is. My wife and I visited during lunch on a weekend and it was no wait whatsoever. Easily placed our orders and it was about a 5-10 minute wait for our drinks, very nice overall. Staff is friendly and quick which is always nice to see for a tea shop. They have plenty of options to go around, usually they'll have a sample for you to try which is nice if you can't decide on your drink choice. I absolutely love the mango or lemon condensed milk series, it's a mix of yakult style drinks on top of a bit more of a gushy feeling when you're sipping. Mix that with a bit of kick and you have the perfect drink for a hot day. Absolutely recommend trying it. Overall, a well maintained shop, although can get really packed during the peak hours, it's absolutely worth checking their store out. I have mixed feelings about CHICHA San Chen. On the one hand, their drinks are good, but I feel that they are way overpriced. My order this time was Cassia Black Tea with Honey ($7.25) and Lemon Condensed Milk ($7.75). These are regular sizes and not even large. For $7, I expect at least a larger size for how basic these drinks are. Even though they taste good, I don't think it's worth it. I am taking into consideration that prices everywhere have gone up, but CHICHA has always been pricey even before the price hike and I am hesitant to return due to the cost. I've only been to this location once. It was a poor experience. Several people who ordered after me got their drinks before I did. I ordered a basic boba milk tea. So there wasn't any excuse about it being delayed due to a specialty drink that takes more time to make. I saw the other people after me also ordered boba milk tea. I asked the staff about my order they were in the midsts of making it. Great I was about to get my order.. spoke too soon. The person who put on the lid spilled my drink so they had to remake it. I thought it would be first in the queue but nope they side lined my cup and started making other people's orders. Eventually my cup was ready then the staff who put the string holder on it decided to take my cup for a spin around the kitchen swinging it walking around and talking to their coworkers. Been coming since they opened in Rowland after going for years to their San Gabriel location Parking can be difficult in the plaza, and it can be very busy depending on when you come. Just a heads up, expect to wait a bit for your drink as they make everything to order. Everything is fresh, high quality teas, and it smells great even while you're waiting in the store. Personal favorite is the dong ding tea and dong ding tea with fresh milk. I like the perfect amount of sweetness and light ice and just as it sounds, it's perfect. Not too sweet, and just the right amount to get the tea flavor and not sugary or watered down. Even the "latte", it's not overly milky and tea comes through. Their rotating series are usually pretty good as well. We like the peach series I do miss the taro series though, hoping it comes back soon as it's usually one of my favorites For toppings, their boba is good, right amount of chewiness, but only get it if you plan to drink right away. I also like their konjac, I miss their unique sakura konjac. This is our go to location when we want quality tea and we'll keep coming back! I usually go to the one in San Gabriel area and was a little bit disappointed because the flavor was a bit different with the one that I tried in Singapore. If you have been to Asian, especially Taiwan or hong kong, their milk teas/tea depending on the style you like amazes you. The taste and quality of those boba shops can't compare. Are they bad though? No of course not but you always want crave for the best one right? This place is one of the best ones. Not going to be a big difference here with the wait as you can expect is 9/10 times when you come. Thats the only negative comment I would say about this place and other store locations.
