Popcorn Chicken with Sweet Potato Fries
Ashley L.

We actually went to this food truck in hopes of finding some authentic Taiwanese shaved ice. Unfortunately because they moved their store front to a food truck they can no longer serve. However, we did not want to just leave empty handed and heard that the popcorn chicken was very good. My family and I were not disappointed at all. The popcorn chicken and sweet potato fry combo was cooked to perfection. Super crispy on the outside and soft/juicy on the inside. The seasoning was perfect as well! The combo was $14 and came with popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries, and a drink. Which I think is pretty reasonable for the portion size. The food truck is located by TS emporium side street on Nogales and Daisetta Street. Upon arriving the fragrance and ambiance really feel like Taiwan. Overall 10/10 would definitely come again. ^--^ I think they open until midnight everyday and I will definitely be returning!

三杯雞便當!3 Flavors Chicken Bento!

My all time favorites place to get Taiwanese Food! Especially for the 3 flavors chicken bento! It's better than every way you can find at SoCal! And really authentic! The popcorn chicken is really amazing, You guys should have to try it! No.1 Pick Teppanyaki Noodle Killed it! Pork Blood Cake, outside crispy inside super soft! No one can beat it

Pork ribs with rice

Amazing! What went well? Well I guess everything we ordered went well! I was a little skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. I ordered the stinky tofu, OMG, it blew me away! No way it tasted better than most actual Taiwan night markets half way around the world! The crispy texture and the smell hit the spot! Paired with kimchi and the chili sauce you are in stinky heaven! I think the smell could be "more stinky" but I'm guessing this is better suited for the masses. We ordered the Cajun Corn, it tasted similar to most Cajun dishes with a little bit of character. Could be a hit or miss with some. I liked it. My main entree was pork ribs rice, solid 5/5 stars the meat was tender with flavor! My wife had the tofu rice, the tofu came out just a tiny bit salty, but was acceptable as the flavor was spot on! The only drawback back from eating food truck is that there's not much service (hence no tips) and you are eating right on the curb using their pop out tables and chairs. If you love Taiwan dishes, you better go try.

It has been a while since l got anything from a food truck. This was a deal for $5. It certainly came in handy after having dinner next door. Friendly staff !

Bobamia is now a food truck business! That's right! You heard me correctly! Bobamia is now situated on the corner of Amar & Echelon close to where its former restaurant location was. The food truck itself is brand new and cutely designed, displaying all of the food and beverage options on the side. The food is still delicious as always with great portions for the price you pay. Grace still runs the business and is still friendly as ever. I got the Basil Chicken Tofu rice combo that came with a milk tea and it is still one of my favorite food offerings. Please come and check out this food truck!

Fresh taro slush with egg pudding ... large size

Passed by this place whenever I go to my friend's place but never got to try it. Today my friend and I decided to stop by on the way home after pickle ball. I ordered a fresh taro slush large size with pudding as the topping. The small slush was $3.50 and the large was $4.00. Since it was only $0.50 difference I decided to get the large. This place doesn't have dine in so you have to place your order at a pick up window. The drinks all seem like a good deal compared to other boba places. The minimum spend to use credit card is $10. After placing the order for 2 drinks, we waited about 5 -10 mins for the drinks to get prepared. To my surprise, the fresh taro slush was pretty good. I didn't adjust the sugar level (although not sure if you can), but might be too sweet for some people. The pudding had strong flavor and later would overpower the taro flavor. The slush overall was good flavor though. There is also crystal boba as a topping option even though it's not listed on the menu. I would definitely want to come back next time and try the popcorn chicken and their other drinks! I'm not able to upload pictures for this restaurant at this moment.. not sure why.

I discovered this food truck while searching on Yelp after moving to the area and not having a refrigerator to store and cook homemade food. With limited dining options nearby, I was initially skeptical about whether it would be open due to the lack of reviews. I debated if it was worth the drive, but I'm so glad I decided to go. I tried the Pork Belly Rice with Popcorn Chicken and Big Shrimp Wontons with Noodles. The Pork Belly Rice and Popcorn Chicken were fantastic, especially with the marinated egg. The Shrimp Wontons with Noodles were also impressive--the wontons were full of flavor, and the noodles itself were surprisingly tasty despite their small portion. I would definitely return for a late-night dinner. Highly recommended! Thank you again for the good eats (:

Chicken popcorn, sweet potato fries, jasmine milk tea

Been here a few times, so good! They have good chicken popcorn and their portion is pretty big too. I can never finish my food alone when I'm here. Service is also really good, they're always so kind

Ada Z.

We ordered a pork belly rice with a side of popcorn chicken. The shop is tiny, so you wait outside for orders after placing it, and they call your numbers physically, so be sure you're listening for it. I loved that it came with a marinated egg and bean curd. The meat and rice were well flavored, and the popcorn chicken was crispy too. The price was good, and the box felt heavy! We'll definitely be back again!

Absolutely disgusting experience at Auntie Tea…read more We ordered 2 Mango Pomelo drinks and 1 Strawberry Daifuku. The drinks were already overpriced at over $8 each, and because tipping is OPTIONAL, we chose not to tip. The employee at the front with arm tattoos already had a bad attitude and the whole interaction felt uncomfortable from the start. The next day, I went to finish one of the drinks and while drinking the toppings, something thick blocked the straw. I thought maybe it was fruit or pudding, so I opened the sealed lid, only to find a rolled up strip of RECEIPT PAPER stuffed inside the drink. There is absolutely no reasonable explanation for how a rolled receipt ends up INSIDE a sealed drink. This did not accidentally "fall in." It looked intentionally rolled and shoved in there. What makes it even worse is this location mainly uses text/SMS receipts, so there is no way this came from me. Receipt paper contains toxic chemicals like BPA and hormone disrupters and should NEVER be anywhere near food or drinks. I'm honestly disgusted and shocked that this even happened. I already reported this location to the health department and contacted corporate because this is beyond unacceptable. If employees are going to retaliate over not receiving a tip by tampering with customers' drinks, people seriously need to avoid this place. Taro slush, 9.5/10: Probably the best taro drink I've ever had. Gotta go no toppings. Watch the carbs. Not too sweet. It's perfectly smooth and creamy. The natural sweetness and subtle earthiness from the taro really comes through. I was actually surprised. The ice is blended very finely, but it's also not chunky. We ordered the Rainbow Tea and immediately noticed it looked much cloudier than usual. Because my daughter has a serious dairy allergy, we asked the worker MULTIPLE times if there was any milk or dairy in the drink. We were repeatedly assured it was completely dairy-free and that the different appearance was due to them changing syrups. Shortly after drinking it, my daughter suffered a severe allergic reaction that sent us to the ER for over 8 hours. Watching your child struggle to breathe and fearing for their life is something no parent should ever experience -- especially after specifically asking staff about allergens several times. What should have been a nice Mother's Day turned into one of the most traumatic days of my life. If your establishment is unsure about ingredients or cross-contamination, DO NOT confidently tell customers a drink is allergy-safe. Food allergies are not preferences -- they are life-threatening medical conditions. I truly hope management takes allergy training and ingredient transparency much more seriously moving forward.

TASTY! With each sip, I felt my stress and worries fade away. I smiled happily. (Important: Bring Cash. With Card, there's a 35 cents additional charge for orders under $15.) I arrived at Tenju Tea House (Rowland Heights) on Friday (around 11:45AM). There's a competitive, busy parking lot. Fortunately, I quickly found parking. Staff is professional and polite. Staff gave good recommendations, and Staff answered all my questions. The drink took about five minutes. As mentioned, I ordered the Iron Goddess Milk Tea ($6.75 - Large - 100% Sweetness). The crisp tea taste is pronounced and brewed perfectly (not burnt). Its gentle sweetness soothes the throat, and the flavor of honey and caramel flutters about. It's DELICIOUS! On ambiance, Tenju Tea House (Rowland Heights) is aged, worn-down but well-maintained. The location is a little small; there's about four tables. Fortunately, it feels well-ventilated and airy. In addition, Tenju Tea House (Rowland Heights) also has PLENTY of utility. This spot has 34 electrical outlets!!! WOW! These outlets easily blend with the wall. There's also customer internet with password; customers must ask Staff for details. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Overall, I found unexpected happiness at Tenju Tea House (Rowland Heights). The tea is one of the best! If you love tea, this is a very easy recommendation. 4.9 out of 5!

I saw that reviews for popcorn chicken here were mostly good, so I wanted to try it out for myself…read more My order included a monk's blend ($6) with 30% sweetness and popcorn chicken ($9.65). The monk's blend was an iced Ceylon black tea with a touch of vanilla and grenadine. Although this drink is a signature menu item, I didn't really enjoy the citrusy and plum-like tartness. Most of the popcorn chicken pieces had a crispy texture, whereas others were a tad soggy. With medium spice, the chicken was very flavorful. The popcorn chicken came in an oyster pail that looked a little small, but the portion size still seemed adequate for the price. I ended up drinking the tea first before eating the chicken because the flavors did not leave a complementary aftertaste. Also, I got my tea first, but the staff forgot to give me the popcorn chicken even though they said that it's on the way. I had to follow up after waiting several minutes. One staff member was apologetic and explained that she thought my order was complete once I got my tea. The wait was unfortunately long because of the miscommunication.
