I've been here a few times, and my previous experiences were fine. This location stays open really late, which makes it a convenient place to hang out with friends. Just be prepared for crowds because it can get very busy with college students, especially at night. The space itself is pretty small, but they have a drive-through, online ordering, and the option to order with someone at the counter. I usually order the taro slushy with light ice and less sugar because I don't like my drinks overly sweet. I've always enjoyed the drink itself, and I also like that their cups feel sturdy and higher quality than the thin plastic cups you get at many other drink shops. The fries were also good. It's a bit pricey $7 for the fries. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a horrible experience. I placed an online order and saw my name on the drinks that were ready at the counter. No staff members were around, so I reached over to grab my order. An employee suddenly appeared and told me that I couldn't just take it. There wasn't a sign telling customers to wait, and at places like Starbucks and other drink shops, completed mobile orders are normally left at the pickup counter for customers to grab. I understand if they have a different policy, but it should be clearly posted and communicated politely. I also requested no seasoning on my crispy tofu because I don't like their seasoning. The manager rudely told me they couldn't do that because it was supposed to come with seasoning. However, I contacted their customer service team afterward, and they confirmed that the tofu could absolutely be customized without seasoning. They even offered to replace it with a complimentary order prepared the way I originally requested. When I returned and explained the email I received, the manager acted very skeptical and almost seemed like she didn't believe me. The entire interaction made me feel uncomfortable, especially when I was only trying to receive the replacement their team had already offered me. I've been going to Summerfield Tea Bar for years, since before their name change from Dragonfly Tear Bar! Their fruit teas have always been my favorite. Over the years I've tried all of them and they're always consistent and refreshing. Another item I always get is their house French fries. I ordered them today and was surprised that it came with a gift - a super cute boba milk tea designed pouch. The only thing that made me sad was they seem to have changed their recipe for the fries. It no longer has the seasoning I love and the French fries are thicker than before. I don't mind the thickness, but I am sad about the flavor change. Overall, I'll still continue to visit and get their teas but I don't think I'll get the fries anymore unless they change it back to their original recipe. :( read more

If you order from here, please be sure to check that all your drinks are sealed. I've had multiple drinks not be sealed properly during previous visits, but this last time was the worst. I was given 4 drinks in a bag, with one upside down and one sideways. When I arrived home, I found that my matcha had leaked all over my floor mat and designer bag, and I now also have matcha on my garage floor -- all because no one checked to make sure my drink was sealed before tossing it into a bag and handing it to me. I've been trying to get a hold of a manager for a while now so that I can avoid writing a review, but no one's reached out and I feel like I'm being given the runaround. I now have to pay to have my car detailed, and my bag is stained, and yet, I'm not even looking for compensation, I just wanted to speak with someone to make sure that staff is properly trained moving forward. Tried Summerfield for the first time and went twice in one week! I got an osmanthus milk tea the first time, and it was a solid drink, not my favorite. I've had a lot of milk tea living in the SGV. Second visit I tried the iced strawberry matcha and really liked it, perfect blend of matcha and strawberry, and not too sweet. I also tried the popcorn chicken, spicy tofu bites and mozzarella sticks, and they were all really yummy snacks! Staff were very friendly and helpful!The location used to be a Taco Bell, so it has the cutest arched windows and plenty of seating both inside and outside. I got it with oat milk, which I don't know why places do not carry coconut milk oat milk is not all that I do not like it, but I will push through it so I can drink something I would like to. This was our first time visiting Summerfield Rowland Heights, and unfortunately it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. When we arrived, the shopping center was extremely busy and all of the parking near Summerfield was taken. We parked along the brick wall in what appeared to be the same parking lot as the restaurant. There was nothing obvious to suggest that those spaces belonged to a separate apartment complex. The only warnings were a couple of small tow signs posted along the wall for about 18 parking spaces, and the main sign near the entrance was bent over and unreadable when driving in. We had no idea that section was private parking monitored by Quick Tow. We went inside, ordered food and drinks, and waited over 30 minutes for everything to be prepared. When we finally finished and walked back outside, our car was gone. After reading other reviews, I realized this isn't an isolated incident. It seems to happen to many people visiting this location. With how popular Summerfield is and how often customers end up parking there, I think the restaurant should at least post a clear warning telling customers not to park along that brick wall because vehicles will be towed. If they truly care about their customers, this seems like a simple step they could take. Instead, at 10:30 at night we were left stranded, had to take an Uber to another city to retrieve our car, wait while the paperwork was processed, and pay $640 to get it back--all in less than an hour after it had been towed. The whole situation felt incredibly predatory and sketchy. While the food itself wasn't bad, this experience completely overshadowed everything else. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend that anyone visiting be extremely careful where they park. Avoid parking anywhere along that brick wall unless you're absolutely certain it's allowed. read more

Beware that Summerfield only has 9 parking spots right behind their building. On the other side of their drive through there is a shared parking lot with the bank next door, I'm sure you can park there. What you don't want to do is park against the tan cream wall, there is a high chance you will get your car towed. That row of parking spots belong to the apartment complex behind. Unfortunately, my friend parked in that row and got their car towed by the apartment complex which cost them $900 to retrieve their car back. It sucked but we can laugh about it now. This place is used to be Dragonfly tea bar many many years ago that we came here for a late nite boba w a group of yelpers. I had tried their Matcha Gon' Bananas before with 50% sugar, but it was still too sweet for me. This time I ordered it with 0% sugar, and I really enjoyed it. Their boba is always consistently good! This location is very convenient, with a large parking lot and even a drive-thru. I called the Euclid location today and while they were closed to the public, someone was there and mentioned they had been remaking the Rainbow Tea multiple times throughout the day. Sounds like they're doing some internal quality control testing over there. Drive-thru can get really really busy usually after 8/9pm on Fridays and Weekends. I would avoid these days and times unless you want to wait for a while. Roasted Oolong Milk Tea 7/10 - this tends to be my control drink across all boba places. Not all boba places offer a standard oolong milk tea, so it's nice that they have this on the menu. Overall a very standard milk tea. Tea flavor comes through but is on the sweeter side, would recommend doing 50 or 75 percent sweet. Sometimes the texture of the boba can be inconsistent. Some days the boba is cooked perfectly. Some days the boba is overcooked. Otherwise, it is pretty consistent, but nothing special. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area! This place is usually really busy. Long lines inside and also for the drive through they have. I ordered the milk tea here and some food items like the Tofu and popcorn chicken. The tofu was pretty good, I liked the seasoning they used. The popcorn chicken on the other hand is very meh. It's just like frozen popcorn chicken fried and there is no basil or much of a seasoning to it. The tofu is seasoned better. The milk tea I got was standard, a bit on the sweeter side. Parking for this place is horrendous. One of the worst parking lots ever and mixed in with the drive through, there are spots where you will get boxed in. I usually park on the street and walk in. There is like an apartment near by but DO NOT PARK THERE. They actively tow cars. The restroom is not integrated into the restaurant. It's outside the back. It looks pretty sketchy walking there but the inside of the restroom is not bad. Relatively clean. Overall, it's an okay tea place. There's so many logistical challenges that I don't really like to come here.
