Great service! The young guy working was handling everything by himself and was still incredibly nice and attentive. While I was there, this rude older customer came in just for a refill and actually had the nerve to yell out for service instead of waiting his turn. What impressed me was how the employee handled it. He stayed completely calm, polite, and professional even though the guy was being unnecessarily rude. Kudos to this kid because he has WAY more patience than I do--I probably would've told the guy to get lost. I've been going to tastea for over 15 years! I would make the trek to Garden Grove from Irvine until they opened their Irvine location. Once I moved to Hacienda Heights, this location became my goto. The tea and boba is consistently good, they really got the recipe down! The popcorn chicken used to be a lot better but the last 5 times I ordered it, I only got the smallest pieces of chicken and most of it was super hard so I stopped buying that. The fries and other snacks haven't let me down yet though (except the small portion size). However, this last visit really put a bad taste in my mouth. I usually get my drinks at all boba shops with no ice, I just like to slowly sip on my tea until it gets to room temperature. They recently changed it to 80 cents to top off when ordering no ice, which I already didn't like but they only kept maybe an inch from the top all the past times I bought it which was fine. Today, however, I ran into the skimpiest employee who only gave me 2/3 of my drink! What the heck?? Tastea cups are already 4oz less than most other boba shops and they've slowly been increasing their rates to stay at the top (aka more expensive), despite hot having any of the latest trendy tea flavors or toppings. Such a good spot to grab some smoothies or milk teas! My friend highly recommended this spot and I was definitely curious no doubt. Oh my goodness, the matcha thai tea large drink was a drink I shared with my boyfriend. We ordered at the cashier but they also have a kiosk inside to order. There's plenty of space to wait inside, and no one was there when we came. We enjoyed the drink very much. It wasn't overly sweet and the tea blended well with the matcha. The thai tea flavor overpowered the matcha in my opinion, but I did eventually taste more of the matcha flavor near the bottom of the drink. There's a plaza parking lot to get here. While there's plenty of parking, it can get packed. There's some 30 minute parking if you're interested in grabbing a drink to-go. There's limited seating so you're more likely to take the drinks out. They have two kiosks! It's a chill vibe inside. The staff are nice and helpful.
