The ingredients are fresh, clean, and vibrant. I felt happy as I sipped this chill, silky liquid. I visited Juugos (Walnut) on Sunday (10:55AM). This small business has horrible visibility, and its exterior looks plain and decrepit. Thankfully, parking is easy. The small DJ Plaza Parking Lot had many empty spaces. Juugos (Walnut) is across the street from Mt. Sac (aka: Mt. San Antonio College). Staff is very welcoming, passionate, and eager. Staff brightly answered all my questions. However, Staff felt inexperienced. For example, Staff needed to phone call someone when I requested a paper receipt. In another example, Staff immediately left the counter before I could pay. These felt like small hiccups, but Staff appeared motivated to keep working. The other female staff member worked very hard in the background. My drink took two minutes and 36 seconds. Very fast! As mentioned, I enjoyed the Jungle Greens ($9.50 - 24oz). My expectations were completely shattered. This is not a mute, tasteless smoothie; rather, the flavors felt distinct & thoughtfully balanced. It's a refreshing beverage that utilizes fresh ingredients. "TASTY!!" I happily sipped. Regarding ambiance, Juugos (Walnut) contains potential. It could possibly be a decent study/work spot. There's four embedded electrical outlets in its counters. I also appreciate how there's ports for usb cables. The location also includes customer internet with password. Staff explained that customers just need to ask for the information. Staff also explained that there's customer restroom "but it's on the down-low." Staff pointed at the doors labelled "Staff Only," and Staff said that customers can use the restroom when asked. The location feels spacious but there's not many tables. There's just two counters and one long table. In addition, the location is very clean and well-ventilated. The tables, floors, and windows are sparkling. There's also a flat screen television (with English captions) that's playing the football game. There's also a roughed up game corner (ex: Uno Cards, Small Box), but this game corner looked a little sad as it sat on the trashcan. Also, no music plays in this location. Overall, I had a surprisingly delicious experience at Juugos (Walnut). There's sincere potential in this hidden spot. I especially enjoyed the Jungle Greens ($9.50 - 24oz). Tonight, I placed an order through doordash at 8:34pm yes, I know its close to closing but they close at 9pm and felt it was enough time to prepare my 2 juices and acai bowl. Order was acknowledged and received so I head there and arrive at 8:50pm. Group of young kids are already in there and I try to open the door and its locked. But they close at 9pm. The kids open the door for me telling me its closed - i said I have an online order. Guy behind the counter tells me they are "out of stock" on the items. Jungle greens, dream bowl, and pure please juice. Its a juice bar.. I dont know how they are out of stock. I would understand if it was a specific fruit or vegetable for one of the items or offer a substitution but informed I was refunded. Nothing was showing on the app either other than it was being prepared. If I had known it was canceled and refunded, it would have saved me the drive. It felt more like, we're "closed" and did not want to make my order. Definitely upsetting coming back empty handed when the kids and I were looking forward to it. The chairs themselves are fine, but they are quite low in comparison to the counters. I can't comfortably write or type on the counters.
