Lelecha absolutely delivers when it comes to pastries & desserts. If you're an egg tart lover like me, this place is a must visit. The butter caramel egg tart was incredible (& big). The custard had the perfect texture... smooth, rich & not too sweet. The crust goes crazy. Think of a really crispy croissant. Multiple layers & very crispy. The chocolate dirty egg tart was just as impressive. It has everything I loved about the butter caramel version, but with the addition of chocolate that takes it to another level. And the tiramisu? Wow. It was perfectly balanced! Not too sweet, full of flavor & the crunchy layer on the bottom added such a satisfying texture. Everything I've tried here has been absolutely delicious. They clearly know how to make high-quality pastries & desserts. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality & look makes it worth it.
Egg tarts here were very good. The custard was very light with Just the right amount of sweetness. The crust was crispy and flaky, almost like a croissant texture. Definitely recommend swinging by and enjoying one if you're a egg tart fan.
This place is amazing! Their pastry menu isn't extensive but all you need to order is the Butter Caramel Egg tart. They churn them out constantly so the tarts are always warm and fresh. They're about $6 which is more pricey than a typical tart but these are about 2x the size of a typical one. The custard is the perfect texture, with a great balance of egg/sugar/slight vanilla flavor. The caramel flavor is very mild, which I prefer. The crust is flaky and buttery and while I'm a cookie crust egg tart girl, I can appreciate a good flakey crust. I love that it isn't overly sweet. We always order one to eat fresh and others to take home. We heat the leftovers in the microwave for about 20 seconds and while the crust is obviously not as flakey as it would be fresh, the custard is still great. I haven't tried their drinks yet since the surrounding areas have such great boba options but maybe one day I'll order one here. The tiramisu tart was okay- not worth a repeat order in my opinion. Be careful when eating this so you don't inhale the cocoa powder! Get the Butter Caramel Egg Tart.
I tried their new brûlée pudding drinks and horn danishes. The drinks felt more like a dessert but wasn't too sweet and the boba was soft and chewy. i do still prefer their fruit drinks, very refreshing! the horn danishes are very flakey and has filling inside. would love to come back and try their other desserts as well
Was not a fan of the Matcha semi baked brûlée. The pudding was not smooth and the matcha was very diluted. Their boba is nice and chewy but I def would not recommend this drink. Nothing to run home about. It was also a bit annoying that I paid extra for the baked brûlée on top and they broke they broke it so it wasn't even esthetically pleasing.
I love me a good egg tart and this one hit the spot. It's got a nice buttery, flaky crust all around a rich egg custard filling. The caramelization on the top gave it a nice brown butter type of taste. It's priced on the higher side, but it is bigger than the standard circular egg tart. Maybe a little too much crust for me, but overall well-rounded and flavorful. No wait when I went on a weeknight, and there was just a small handful left when I got there. Small shop, but seems efficient. Located at Pearl Plaza, there was a sizable parking lot to accommodate a number of other businesses.
Came for the sweets to try out. The green tea tiramisu is a bit sweet and has a lot of green tea powder on top to balance it out. The egg tart is bigger than the ones I usually get. It was still good and tasted great. The place offered gloves and spoons for us. There's no seating inside. There are tables outside to enjoy the treats. I came around 4 pm and parking was relatively easy for me. I left around 5 and the lot started to fill up.
We got: horn danishes: strawberry cream, matcha chocolate, & pistachio cream ceylon semi-baked brûlée cake matcha brûlée cake Lelecha has some newly launched menu items and they did not disappoint! Their horn danishes were all beautifully flaky with a light, buttery crunch. Each filling had its own standout flavor, but my favorite had to be their strawberry cream danish! The ceylon semi-baked brûlée cake was incredibly creamy and silky with a delicate tea aroma. The custardy cake on top was the perfect addition! The matcha brûlée cake is a matcha lover's dream! Smooth, slightly earthy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely a great spot if you're craving something unique and aesthetically pleasing!
Very reasonable & affordable place for drinks and dessert. They only have outside seating area so be inside doesn't have enough space for seating area. The place is clean and bright with pics and dessert artifacts and self service desserts glass holder. Menu is small and easy, staff are nice & friendly. Drinks are good and desserts are great, not too sweet & crispy plus flaky. Very nicely baked.
This store has been all the talk recently and one super popular item is these delicious egg tarts. If you like something crispy, flaky with a hint of sweetness this is one you should try! They sell other items as well, and drinks, but the egg in the display case is what you really need to pick on! Service was fast and there are small tables and chairs for you to sit at if you want to eat it right there.
What a cute little drink and dessert shop! This place is located inside a mini plaza where you have to walk into to find the place. I love the decor - it really makes me feel like I walked into a fairytale, which is what some of their desserts are designed to look like. I tried the Tiramisu Custard Tart ($6.40) and Butter Caramel Egg Custard Tart ($5.49). The Tiramisu Custard Tart was not too sweet and it was good, I just wished that the tart part was crispier. The Butter Caramel Egg Custard Tart was very good - it would be better if warmed up in the oven at home to make it extra crispy. The egg custard part was soft and not too sweet. This really is a Portuguese egg tart in disguise. At these prices and for the size, I can see how they are a bit pricey for what it is. However, I think that it is worth a try and if you like it, it's definitely worth getting again.
Saw the custard tart on IG & took my team here during Friday team lunch for a treat. Cozy small store front to buy & go. You'll have to find a table outside to eat. Service is good, they made excellent recommendations since it was our first time there. Absolutely obsessed with the custard tart now. It's like a caramel egg tart with flaky choux, best when warm. The tiramisu tart is pretty good too (I usually don't care for tiramisu). I'd go back to try the matcha tart. I think the drinks were also pretty good & I'll try more next time, but I would prefer a strong coffee to pair with the pastries.
Lelecha is located inside a plaza and is surrounded by a plethora of businesses (bbq, hot pot, skewers, sushi, snack shop, karaoke, etc) making it a great place to end the night with a sweet treat (or drink). The egg tart was a 10/10. A little warm, creamy custard, flakey crust. I see why this sells out. The grape tea/slushy was also good - ordered less sweet. It had chunks of green grapes that complimented the top purple grape layers very well. I will say the jasmine tea felt a little overpowering when I first took a sip but overall, refreshing and at less than 190 calories, a great light way to end the night. Parking was a little compact in the plaza lot but some street parking was also available.
It was my first time to try Lelecha.I was really impressed with the quality of the bakeries and the deliciousness of their drinks. Their menu includes various selection of creamy milk tea, pure milk tea, Lelecha signatures, fresh and fruity drinks, pastries and cakes. I ordered through Uber Eats the following drinks: - Iced Mango Sago Pomelo 5/5 It was creamy, rich, velvety and refreshing.Every sip was explosion of all flavors in my mouth. - Mango Coconut Bliss 5/5 Tropical ripe and creamy mango in a drink, of course it was such a beautiful drink. - 2 Butter Caramel Egg Custard Tart 5/5 The crust was buttery and flaky. The custard was creamy, rich and had the perfect sweetness. It was huge. I could not eat it in one time. They came with gloves too, which was a nice gesture. Honestly, It was the best I had tried recently. I wish I could order more of this decadent tarts. - Green Book 5/5 Green tea cake with very fluffy and delicate layers. It was exceptional. - Chocolate Dirty Egg Tart 5/5 Flaky chocolate pastry filled with custard. It was perfectly delicious. Definitely, I recommend Lelecha. What a place! Cute small place with outdoor seating. Nicely decorated. Variety of pastries and drinks. You can order on a kiosk or with the cashier. I ordered the Mango Coconut Bliss and Honeydew Coconut Bliss. They were both yummy. I love their use of real fruits. The Butter Caramel Egg Tart is so massive you can share it with a friend. There is a smaller version but go BIG, so worth it. It tastes heavenly! The custard is perfect texture, so smooth and not too sweet. The crust is amazing; it has multiple layers and it's flaky (in a good way). If you love egg tarts like me, this place is definitely worth checking out. read more

Came to try their new drink, the vienna matcha einspanner ($7.09). They had a 50% off deal going on so we were able to get that. I also got their tiramisu egg tart (not pictured because I was so excited to eat it lol). Staff was friendly at the counter in ringing us up and applying the discount. They made the drinks very quickly. The cup size was decent but kind of small at $7. It was a creamy drink that wasn't too sweet. The matcha flavor wasn't very strong. read more

Lelecha is located in the courtyard of a shopping center. This was my first time there. You may want to call in advance to make sure they still have the egg custard tarts especially if you are going in the evening. There's a parking lot with sufficient parking. Not a big place, but sufficient to buy a yummy dessert or get a drink. I only got the egg tart but there are other desserts and fun drinks. I took the egg tarts to go and heated them a bit in the toaster oven. The crust was flaky and the egg custard was silky and flavorful. No one spoke while eating them to savor the decadence. I don't live anywhere near Lalecha, but anytime I'm driving by on the 60 fwy, I'll definitely make a detour. Service was good as well. read more
Lele Cha in Rowland Heights does not miss. Came in with high expectations and left already planning my next visit. The standout for me was the egg tart--perfectly executed. The crust is buttery and crisp with that delicate flake that shatters just right, while the filling is silky, rich, and ultra-creamy without being overly sweet. It's one of those desserts that feels simple but clearly done with a lot of care and precision. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell quality is a priority here. If you're even slightly into egg tarts, this is a must-order. Also super cute packaging great for gift giving! Definitely coming back!! read more

I saw Lelecha on IG and thought, WOW! My mom's gonna love that egg tart and man she was loving it when I brought it to her. She loved how flakey and caramelized it was. She didn't like that the ends were a little too hard for her to chew as she now has dentures but she definitely loved the inside of the crust. She even smiled at me which isn't common these days but I'm so happy that she was enjoying her treat. I got her the original recipe. I went a couple hours before closing but other flavors were already sold out. This egg tart is rectangular so at first my mom didn't understand what it was but after taking her first bite she came to realize it was goodness in her mouth. They had drinks I was tempted to try but I was focused more on the egg tart. I'll come by again earlier in the day to checkout all the other flavors and see what drinks I'd like to try but for now go check it out. Service was quick as I just pointed to what I wanted and specified two and it was already in a bag of its own. $6.00 per egg tart. They have seats outside to enjoy the riches of the meal. read more

Lelecha is perfect for those that have a sweet tooth! The desserts aren't super overpoweringly sweet, I liked the balance. The matcha tiramisu has a strong matcha flavor. I went here for a second time and got the butter caramel egg custard tart ($5.49) and medium jasmine bouquet tea ($4.49) with 30% sugar and no ice. Service was quick. I ordered on a kiosk and got my order in a few minutes. I took my order home in a nice paper bag, but they have a shaded outdoor area to eat with a group. They share a parking lot with many other restaurants, but it wasn't hard to find a spot on a Saturday afternoon. The egg custard tart was pretty filling for a single pastry, and it wasn't too sweet with the caramel glazing. The egg taste wasn't overwhelming too as I like it. I think it's best eaten on a plate since crumbs easily fall off. The jasmine bouquet tea was a good and standard tea. The jasmine tea flavor was nicely balanced with the milk. It was refreshing and came with the narrow straw I've been seeing across tea shops around the area. The medium size was also enough for me even though the large size is about $1 more. I look forward to coming back to try different pastries and teas. read more
Tried this in New York so wanted to get it also back in LA when I had the chance. There was no line to order when I came which was good. They have kiosk to order drinks but if you grab one of their bakery items then you pay at the counter. I got the tiramisu tart and the Salted French Matcha Vienna, which they were running a special BOGO promotion at the time. The tarts and cakes are in a little shelf for you to grab yourself but their regular egg tart is behind the counter for ordering. The drinks were ready pretty fast and looked aesthetic. However, it is on the sweeter side because of the cream so you can't really taste much matcha. The matcha is more light and it mostly the salted cream that you taste. It was a decent drink but overpriced if I was paying regular price for that cup size. The tiramisu tart is as good as I remembered though! The tart on the bottom went so well with the tiramisu cream and bread on top. One is a good size to share with another since it did get a bit overwhelming when I ate one myself. Their other drinks look good too but their tarts are unique and tasted fresh! I tried their Bouquet Green Milk tea last time and it was good. Just not a fan of that matcha vienna. But recommend coming here to try their pastries for sure! read more

Skip the beverages here (they were mediocre at best compared to anything else you can get nearby) but come for the tarts. The butter caramel tart is like the egg tart but easily 2-3x the size. The crust is super buttery flakey and crispy. The egg custard is soft tender perfectly done and not too sweet. Both the egg tart and the butter tart were executed beautifully. read more
OMG get the butter caramel tart! You will gobble up that thing so fast... it tastes exactly like what it's called. Just get it and you won't regret it! It's a bit pricey, more than double the price of your average egg tarts but worth trying for that touch of caramel creaminess to it. If you have the patience, warm it up at home! The service was friendly and the drink tasted like real mango so I appreciated that. It's a small place so no room to really loiter, but there's some seating outside. Parking can get pretty busy on a weekend night, but just drive all the way around and you'll probably be able to find one! read more

Lelecha in Rowland Heights completely blew me away with one thing and one thing only: the egg tart. This was leagues above any other egg tart I've ever had. It was quite literally perfect. The custard was so light, fluffy, and delicate, while the crust was flaky, crispy, and buttery in the best way. The sweetness was also exactly where it needed to be. Not too rich, not too heavy, just perfectly balanced. It's one of those simple desserts where every detail has to be right, and this one nailed all of them. If you're ever in the area, you absolutely have to try the egg tart. I'd come back for that alone. read more

My hubby found his place, while we were in the area trying to find a dessert place. He stumle upon the egg tart and it looks good, so we came to try it. We only got one to share and it was delicious. The pastry was buttery and flakey. The egg part was soft and sweet from the caramel. The also sell drinks and other dessert. The dessert is a bit pricey for the size. There are no seatings inside but have a couple tables outside. A grey little sport for drinks and/or dessert. read more

Saw an Instagram reel highlighting Lelecha's popular egg tarts and knew I had to try them! I love egg tarts in all shapes and sizes and styles, and honestly, the large hefty size of Lelecha's egg tarts are what truly drew my greedy heart in. I came by on a Saturday morning at noon right when they opened! I got a couple egg tarts to go to bring back for my family, and thought it was nice that each egg tart was packaged individually and they even gave disposable gloves to hold and eat the egg tarts for no greasy fingers! They have a large variety of drinks, which I didn't order, but my aunt did, and she said her milk tea was delicious and "not too sweet" (the ultimate Asian auntie compliment!) even though she got the normal sugar level! We brought the egg tarts home to share with our family and it was a huge hit! Let me just say, this is a two handed dessert. It's a heavy egg tart, and you def need both hands to eat it haha. The custard was perfect! Rich and creamy custard with an amazing caramelized top. The crisp, flaky puff pastry was exceptional, and had a lot more volume and thickness to it than the traditional egg tart due to its needing to hold together such a large amount of custard haha. I can't wait to come back. I know these egg tarts are on the pricier side, but for the size and quality, I would order these again and again over a mid-tier, smaller, cheaper egg tart ! read more

Reviewing their desserts! Came right when they opened because last time I came after dinner and they were out of egg tarts. Got some egg tarts (still warm) and it was delicious! The size of the egg tart is double the size of normal ones. I like that they individually wrap each one, but it took a little bit of time. Also got the tiramisu, which was shaped like a book! This was also really good! Would come back for their desserts! They have outdoor seating and parking in the plaza. read more

The cafe is cute and has outside seating. There's a self order kiosk. They also have individually wrapped gloves and utensils for you to take home. The milk tea tasted like bland milk. We got one at 60% sweet and one at 80%, and neither tasted good. We asked the staff to remake them at 100% sweet, and they were rude about it. The grape drink was tasty but pretty sweet. I did enjoy the flavor. It had crispy grape chunks at the bottom. Overall, I wouldn't come back. The service was terrible and the drinks weren't worth it. read more
Came here on a recommendation and, unfortunately, I wasn't overly impressed. Got the Brown Sugar Boba because that's a standard that I get to compare drink places. It's usually sweet so getting it less sugar is usually okay. The boba is sweet and soft, but the drink isn't sweet enough. Guess I should've kept it at regular sugar - live and learn. Also tried the Floral Oolong - couldn't add boba to it...? The Japanese matcha infused Cheezo tea with taro boba added is delicious, though. Prices are okay, I guess, but the size was smaller than expected. The drinks we had were good, but there are other places I've enjoyed better. (I did enjoy the matcha one a lot, though.) Smallish place (no seating). And you order through a kiosk so don't have too much to say about the service. read more
