I joined the chubby membership recently and wanted to claim the free drink. I went this past weekend and let me tell you, the drink was disgusting. It literally tasted like powder mix and an improperly mixed one. There was chunks of powder, no freshness and overly sweet. There maybe one point where this place was decent but that has long sailed as the drinks are all powdered. Take a look at their rack and you will see huge wholesale packages of powder. read more

Chubby Tea membership get one free tea from the select menu items every month. This month it was either choosing the signature milk tea, mango green tea, or green milk tea. Mango Green tea was very refreshing. I asked the employee if the tea drinks were changed often and they do update one of the tea selections if they run out of that tea batch. Additionally, the free scoop of boba toppings are only allowed for dining in guests. First time ordering from Chubby Tea. It is located inside Chubby Cattle. My family and I ordered 3 drinks through the kiosk and we waited approx. 10 minutes. Pretty easy and quick. While waiting I snap some cool aesthetics decoration inside. The guy sitting and holding the tea, I thought that was so cool! I took a sip of the drink inside my car, it didn't taste much of the matcha but still a bit sweet to my taste, although I did requested for lightly sweet. I was confused where the Chubby Tea was since I was claiming my monthly tea from their membership, but it turned out to be in the Chubby Cattle in Rowland Heights. The service is honestly pretty quick, took about a minute since I was the only one there ordering. There were 3 options to choose from as a member, and a bigger menu if you're just normally ordering. The tea here is good, it's inside of chubby cattle but if you have membership you get to pick which tea you want that's offered that month for free, once a month. If you do eat at chubby cattle you can get the tea that's prepared in the dispensers which are really good also, i rarely use the fountain drinks machine because of this. You can also come in and order in the kiosk normally, and it's got it's own space in there so it's not super crowded. read more

I ordered the guava passion fruit tea. It was tasty and sweet. As someone who's on the more sensitive side for caffeine half of the drink was enough to give me palpations. The caffeine levels are kinda strong so I would be careful drinking it too late at night. Inside there's a waiting area with several arcade games which can play while you wait. This is part of the Chubby Cattle and is located inside. If you're dining in at Chubby Cattle, you have full access to this tea bar, it's just the rules state that you can't take the drinks with you. I've only ordered this to go for pick up, so I'm not sure if you order in person, you serve yourself or not. I doubt there's that much of a wait when you're there just for the Chubby Tea, but the ambiance is lively since it's crazy cool on the inside. I guess if you do have to wait they have arcade game cabinets and seating inside. Drinks are standard, the milk teas and the fruit teas remind me of a lower to mid level franchise. Think maybe a slightly less artificial Quickly's and a better Ding Tea. I do like that the drinks come in an insulated bag like the higher end boba places do. Stopped by for tea. We have the membership so came for the free signature milk tea. However be aware of their opening times. This location is inside a chubby cattle so during shift changes from lunch to dinner they may not have staff at the tea station. After a few mins wait we were able to get or drinks. The person taking my order explained everything clearly, made my drink swiftly, and was very friendly. The interaction was wonderful! I tried the guava kumquat passion fruit tea and the milk tea - both were fantastic. The cup itself is aesthetic, and the lid is functional. I am a Chubby member and have generally been very satisfied with Chubby Group's customer service--until my experience today at Chubby Tea. When I attempted to redeem my monthly free tea, the staff member insisted it had already been redeemed. This didn't make sense, as I was not even in RH on the date shown, and my phone was never scanned. It appeared there may have been a system glitch, but instead of investigating or offering a solution, she was dismissive and rude. After going back and forth, I decided to leave rather than escalate the situation. It's just a free drink, so not a big deal--but the unprofessional attitude was disappointing. I'm sharing this feedback to bring it to management's attention. I hope staff can receive better training on customer service and handling system issues, especially with loyal members. read more

Im sure this place excels at their bbq, but their dedicated boba tea place fell flat. Although their boba is cheaper than most places....The green milk tea and original milk tea lacked tea flavor. I also paid for extra for boba topping and it felt like they only put 1/2 scoop. Not to mention that the boba was hard and stale as it looked like it's been sitting out for hours. I was a bit confused since we were just looking for a new boba spot to try before doing some errands and this place sounded super cute. After reading Yelp reviews, it makes sense that this is inside chubby cattle and you can order to go drinks. Walking in you have to pass by all the delicious looking meat!!! What a tease! A milk tea with boba less sugar and less ice and a passion fruit tea regular sugar and ice. They will ask for a name and phone number, and text you a receipt and confirmation of your order. Since it's inside chubby cattle, you get to see what the place offered, I saw the drink stations that were available for dine in guests. They also had arcade games near the entrance! The drinks were in paper cups, pretty good quality. Pretty designs and sealed on top. The boba milk tea was still too sweet, it was good still! I can't tell how much boba was in it given the cup isn't see through. I had to wait 45 min for drink! I ordered the oolong milk tea, ordered less sugar and light ice and was perfect sweetness for me. I ordered at the kiosk about 30 minutes after they opened. Then I was informed that the brown sugar boba wasn't ready, and it wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes. (Why don't they have a batch ready in the time for opening? Seems to be poor planning that the first hour they're open, the most common add-in is not available). Asked if I wanted a different drink add-in as a subsittute, which I didn't want. I asked if they would simply refund me for the boba, and they said they couldn't. They promised the boba would be ready in 30 min. I waited 30 minutes. It wound up being 45 minutes, and the boba was not "brown sugar" at all, but instead bland and tasteless. I was incredibly disappointed that I waited. Also, be aware that an automatic 18% tip is added to the order! You can remove it, but the total took me off guard until I realized it. This shop is at Diamond plaza inside Chubby Cattle. Once I walked it, i saw the place was poppin, the energy was amazing! The place was lively, and well-decorated. You could tell it's a popular spot, with the workers hustling to keep up with all the drink orders, but they were quick and efficient despite the rush. We tried the matcha coconut, rose milk tea, and taro milk tea--all of them were delicious. They don't do No ice, only less ice haha. They also offer a free drink if you leave a review on Google. Drinks are less than the average cost of boba in all of SoCal at just 4$ plus tax. Very nice aesthetics for a boba shop. I got the matcha coconut drink and tried requesting no ice. However they said they cannot do no ice because it will be too strong. What if I liked it strong? I'd be happier if they trained their employees to say that it's their policy to say no ice rather than saying it would make it too strong or saying that would change the taste. It's like going to a restaurant and ordering medium rare for a steak but the waiter said no because that would change the taste and made you order medium instead. You get what I mean? However, upon tasting the drink, it was a unique experience since I have never mixed coconut juice and matcha before. I would probably come back solely due to the cheap price and aesthetics.
