You could tell it's a popular spot, with the workers hustling to keep up with all the drink orders, but they were quick and efficient despite the rush. We tried the matcha coconut, rose milk tea, and taro milk tea--all of them were delicious. They don't do No ice, only less ice haha. They also offer a free drink if you leave a review on Google. Drinks are less than the average cost of boba in all of SoCal at just 4$ plus tax. Very nice aesthetics for a boba shop. I got the matcha coconut drink and tried requesting no ice. However they said they cannot do no ice because it will be too strong. What if I liked it strong? I'd be happier if they trained their employees to say that it's their policy to say no ice rather than saying it would make it too strong or saying that would change the taste. It's like going to a restaurant and ordering medium rare for a steak but the waiter said no because that would change the taste and made you order medium instead. You get what I mean? However, upon tasting the drink, it was a unique experience since I have never mixed coconut juice and matcha before. I would probably come back solely due to the cheap price and aesthetics. Parking: plenty of parking as it's located inside a plaza Came on a Saturday afternoon and luckily there was no line for us. The drinks are definitely well priced and cheaper at around $3.99 or even less. Great quality tea for the price. The drinks took a little long to make around 15-20mins when there was no one in front of us. Drinks: Rose milk tea: one of my favorite flavors and was happy to see this place to have it as not many bubble tea shops have them. Taro milk tea: very authentic taro flavor I also liked that they gave us a to-go bag and it was in this high quality insulated reusable bag. Overall, I'd recommend to visit. I feel catfished. While the branding is very elevated, and prices were unbelievable like $3 a drink, service was incredibly slow and chaotic, and the quality is like that of Lollicup/Quickly (no shade) just very generic. I will never crave this. It's located inside Chubby Cattle, so the air is incredibly meaty inside. There wasn't any AC on (at least in the drink area) so it was incredibly hot. The only source of cool air is from the freezer where they store all the frozen wagyu meats. My friend and I ordered a drink each and waited over 30 minutes. After my friend got her drink (which we suspect has been ready and sitting there for at least 15 min because the paper cup was kind of soggying up by the time she got it), the worker was confused where my drink was. Turns out they ran out of what I ordered, the Osmanthus Pear tea. I swapped it to a Lychee rose less sweet. It's not terrible but it's very generic and also did not taste less sweet. read more

With authentic ingredients and teas, @chubbyteala offers a diverse menu of both milk and fruit teas, which are perfect for enjoying in this hot weather, and before/after their AYCE wagyu BBQ. Chubby Tea has excellent tea for a very good price! It's located inside of Chubby Cattle and you can order using a kiosk. They have a huge menu with plain jasmine or black tea for only $1.99. I got the Lychee Rose green tea for $5. The fruity and floral flavors were well balanced and there was a solid tea flavor as well. Really can't complain with the price point! We came at night and it was really loud from dinner service. The waiting area was also very crowded. Fortunately, my drink came out pretty quickly so we did not have to wait very long. read more

It pains me to write this review, as my friends and I have previously enjoyed dining at the various Chubby Cattle locations. The four of us had a 12:30 PM lunch reservation on Memorial Day. When we were seated, our host warned us that the team was understaffed, but that did not really prepare us for how slow and unprepared the kitchen actually was. We sent in a large order right after we were seated, which included appetizers and meats. We then had a lull of about 20-30 minutes where we had already put in a second round, were still waiting for appetizers from our first round, and had no food from the kitchen to actively grill or eat. Our server, Brandon, tried his best to provide us with updates on our order and even extended our ordering window. The team also stopped restocking the self-serve items, like burgers and egg tarts, at 2:30 PM, when there were still parties being seated and 1.5 hours left of lunch service. This left us feeling frustrated, as we were told the egg tarts would be restocked soon; we waited an extra 20 minutes only to be told there would be no more for the rest of lunch service. Our server did his best and even applied the membership discount for our whole party. We still felt a bit cheated by our meal, and the manager, Chad, came over and tried to placate us with a voucher for a free A4 wagyu filet on our next visit, which felt like a throwaway item of no real worth to them. The whole interaction with him was frustrating and did not make us feel any better. I really hope the team here learns from this and is better staffed and prepared for the next holiday. read more

Honestly, it's one of the worst boba I had. I went with my cousins to try their drinks because they're really cheap but it's not worth the money. We got 5 different drinks, and they were all not good. I had the strawberry oolong tea, and omg it was the worst one out of the drinks. I thought it was just me, but my cousins agreed. Tried to drink it without making a face, and it was impossible. I don't know how to describe it since I never tasted anything like it but it's kinda like if they added perfume in the drink. That's what it tasted like. Not tea. I decided to try it again when I ate at Chubby Cattle with my friends. This time, we order their top 2 drinks, which are osmanthus oolong milk tea and lemon explosion. Not good... but the manager was kind enough to listen to our feedback and give a refund. So maybe in the future they will improve? But for now, do not come, spend the extra money and get yourself some decent boba. I thought I'd give this place a try seeing the great reviews and 4.6 rating it has. Unfortunately the reviews and the rating in my opinion don't quite match the quality of the drinks. I ordered the Oolong milk tea with cheese foam and an avocado smoothie. The Oolong milk tea was watered down, and the avocado smoothie did not taste like anything and was not blended correctly. I understand that this is also a restaurant (Chubby Cattle) that has customers ordering drinks at the same time but it seemed to me that the workers were all over the place and it shows in the quality of the drinks. I think if there was a better prioritization of walk in customers and a separate focus on customers eating at the restaurant, drinks would flow more efficiently and the quality would also be better. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice though, it has a sense of high quality and the ninjas on the wall are a nice touch. read more

Chubby tea is located inside of the restaurant called Chubby Cattle, which the decor for the restaurant looks amazing but I just ordered my drink to go so I wasn't sure if I was able to sit at the restaurant tables. I got the coconut matcha milk tea and it did taste good although I'm not a fan of sugary drinks and it was a bit too sugary for me even when I ordered it with less sugar. I wish I ordered their regular teas instead as they are priced much lower than other tea shops, maybe next time when I come back. I ordered on a screen and it wasn't too long before I got my order but I did hear a customer that ordered in front of me say they had been waiting for a while, which makes sense if the staff are making teas for chubby tea and the restaurant. This is a very busy plaza so it may be difficult to find parking. This boba shop is located inside of the Chubby Cattle restaurant and is right at the entrance. We ordered on an iPad and there were no other customers in front of us yet we waited about 10-15 min. Had to ask the staff to check on our drinks before anyone acknowledged us and were told "they were still making one of them" . Overall, the drinks had fairly good value, but too artificial for us even though we had ordered "less sweet". Tbh, not for me and I won't be coming back. The teas are VERY sweet and taste artificial and syrupy. We ordered the lychee and passion fruit guava green teas. The lychee one was ok- nice that it had some lychee fruit bits in it.
