Canani Coffee is such a cute little coffee spot if you're in Pomona~ The interior is very modern with clean, cozy, and super calming vibe which is perfect for a slow morning or a quick catch-up. Their drinks are really well-cratted, not overly sweet, and you can really taste the quality. My favorite is their biscoff latte, SOOO creamy, not too sweet, and perfectly well balanced. We also got their strawberry matcha and the Canani latte, and both were just as good. Additionally, the staffs are super friendly and kind, he is the one that recommended me a lot of their signatures drinks and everything is literally soo good! Such a lowkey hidden gem if you're in the area and want something to satisfy your craving

Banana matcha latte and Spanish latte

3/5 - Great vibe and service, but the drinks fell short. The ambience here is really cute and cozy with a modern feel. I liked seeing posts about local events around the shop since it made the place feel more connected to the community. We were also welcomed right away by an older gentleman who was very kind and helpful, especially since the menu is a bit confusing at first. The drinks did take a while to come out, which would have been fine if they had really impressed us. We ordered an iced Spanish latte, caramel frappe, Nutella banana split smoothie, and a banana matcha latte. The standout was definitely the Nutella banana split smoothie. It was rich and chocolatey without being overly sweet, which is hard to pull off with Nutella. I would actually come back just for that. The other drinks were just okay. Not bad, but nothing memorable either. Overall, this feels like a place where the vibe and service outshine the drinks. I would not go out of my way to come back, but I would not mind stopping by again if I was nearby.

My sis and I both got a strawberry matcha w oat milk and they were okay... maybe my drink didn't come out as good as hers because she enjoyed it. It also looks very aesthetic, but it's a bit deceiving. The matcha taste was barely noticeable and I almost thought they forgot to put strawberry until I tasted a hint of it. When my husband tried it, he thought the only strawberry component was the freeze dried one on top. It was also more watery than creamy, even with oat milk as my sub. I don't live in the area, but if I had to visit again I might try their coffee instead or go to a different cafe.

The Biscoff latte was so good. It was the right amount of sweetness from the cookie butter spread balanced out perfectly by the espresso. The inside is gorgeous and has a variety of seating: couch, stool, table, and bar. There's also a good amount of outdoor seating if you want to take your drinks outside to the patio. I ended up trying the Spanish latte and oatmilk shaken espresso and loved those as well. The double matcha, on the other hand, was just okay. They use ceremonial matcha but something about the flavor wasn't my favorite and the foam was light and dissipated quickly. The worker was nice though and the drinks came out relatively quickly considering he was handling all orders by himself.

Have been here a few times and wanted to try a few different drinks before reviewing. This seems to be a family run place, but not 100% on that. There is an older gentleman that is very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The nutella iced latte is probably my favorite. It's chocolatey and not overly sweet. I also like the pistachio iced latte (just pistachio). It comes witch chopped pistachios on top. This one is on the cusp of being too sweet, though. The iced tiramisu nut latte comes with a very tasty cream foam on top and does remind me of the dessert. I've enjoyed all these drinks. They have been delicious, but I will say that the coffee flavor is not very strong. The flavorful syrups can overpower the coffee so maybe an add shot will fix that. This however, is not specific to Canani. It's something that I keep noticing from a lot of specialty coffee places. If you want a strong coffee flavor, you might be better going with a classic latte, which I'm sure is tasty since the espresso is not bitter or burnt like at a lot of Starbucks.

Located in the heart of down Pomona right across from the courthouse you're gonna find friendly faces, freshly pulled espresso shots, signitures lattes, and even some seasonal baked goods! When i pulled up, they had a beautiful pistachio tres leches that was calling my name. A mildly sweet pistachio cream, soaked spongecake, and crunch from fresh pistachio were the makings of one of my favorite tres leches of the year! The canani latte had a nice pull of espresso with a delicate rose and cardamom sweetness that was mellow and such an easy sipper! This place is a must try for any coffee buffs looking for some new digs out in DT Pomona!

I had a good experience at Canani Coffee (Pomona). I ordered the Biscoff Latte ($7 - Iced). It's fresh. I also appreciated the soft boost in energy; however, it mostly tastes like milk and biscoff crumbles. (Important: There's a one hour limit on the customer internet.) I arrived at Canani Coffee (Pomona) on Monday (around 8:56AM). Parking is easy; the lot is spacious. However, there's many green spots labeled, "2-HR Parking." This location is across the street from Pomona City Hall. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Staff works hard, and Staff efficiently answered all my questions. My drink took 7 minutes and 31 seconds. As mentioned, I ordered the Biscoff Latte ($7 - Iced). The ingredients are good quality, but the coffee flavor is very faint. I mostly tasted a glob of syrup, lots of milk, and biscoff crumbles. Regardless, it's a refreshing, casual drink. Concerning ambiance, the location is very welcoming and attractive. The location is clean and well-ventilated. There's about six interior tables, one tall table, and one counter table. There's also an outside patio with extra seating. The ceiling is very tall, so it all felt spacious. I also loved the hanging light fixtures. In addition, the music is mostly instrumental; I enjoyed hearing the piano play along its speakers. This location also has utility. There's about five electrical outlets for customers; however, the majority of outlets are touching the counter table. There's also a hand sanitizer bottle in the front, and there's gender neutral restrooms in the back. And as mentioned, there's one hour customer internet; details are available by asking Staff. Overall, I appreciated my experience at Canani Coffee (Pomona). Although the drinks were unmemorable, there's a good quality behind them. If curious and nearby, I lightly recommend. 4.4 out of 5

So happy I stumbled upon this gem near campus! We tried the banana matcha, strawberry matcha, Biscoff latte, and pistachio rose latte, and everything tasted so good!! My absolute favorite was the banana matcha. It had the perfect balance of banana and matcha--nothing overpowered the other. The sweetness was just right as well. These drinks paired perfectly with a slice of carrot cake. I was so happy to see it in their pastry display because that's my favorite cake! The owner was so kind! He gave the best recommendations for must-try drinks in the house. He also mentioned that the matcha he uses is ceremonial grade and sourced directly from Japan. I can tell he pays attention to detail to craft the best drinks for customers. This place is the perfect spot to WFH or study. There are plenty of seats, outlets, and Wi-Fi. I'd definitely come back again.

Pistachio Matcha, Biscoff Latte and Honey Lavender Latte all delicious
    Lucy R.

Coffees and matcha top notch!! Delicious. Had the pistachio matcha w/ oat milk highly recommend! My girls had a biscoff , honey lavender and Cardamon iced lattes. They said they're delicious super good!! We recommend come check it out!! Five stars!

    Pistachio matcha.
    Joanne Z.

As someone who loves good matcha, this was a huge letdown. The pistachio matcha was watered down, flavorless, and tasted nothing like quality matcha. It felt like paying premium prices for flavored water. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this genuinely felt like money wasted. I won't be back.

I usually hit their San Marino spot, but this location still delivered the goods. The shop's a bit small inside, but service was nice. Grabbed my ride-or-die Koan-Im Oolong Latte and paired it with a donut from my favorite donut shop like I was assembling the perfect duo for a late night snack. The tea was lightly sweetened perfectly to my liking, smooth, and clearly crafted by someone who respects tea leaves more than I respect my sleep schedule. The cloud top was basically dalgona candy foam and felt like a bonus dessert after finishing the drink. Even with a lot of people waiing, service moved fast, in & out in about 7 mins. Quality tea, speedy service, and enough creamy foam happiness to make a milestone review feel deserved!! Highly recommend!!! Now for some poetry that's inspired my 1000th review: Warm glazed memories sift through my reverie. A pink box opened in the summer of 24. Days were bleak and hollow like a bakery shelf at closing. I saw the saddest eyes, soft as powdered sugar falling. Sweet like a dalgona cloud top koan-im oolong latte, but carrying a quiet ache no frosting could hide. That summer you saved me, like the first bite of something new when you thought you'd forgotten what butterflies felt like. The season changed and you suddenly disappeared.... just an empty pink box on the counter. Only crumbs remain now, where your strawberry-glazed humor used to melt into every moment like sugar on warm dough. My heart split like a jelly donut. Still, I'm grateful as the world is as it should be. I pass by the donut shop on 66 and smile. People think it's just about donuts. But once.... a long time ago, one saved my life. Nice and toasty, just like popcorn. You get that milk tea taste as well. And the brown sugar tapiochi balances the toasty flavor you get from the popcorn. The jasmine matcha latte tasted like straight up matcha. Didn't really get any taste if the jasmine. But I guess that's cos matcha is such a strong flavor. I'd say the baristas kind of keep to themselves though and aren't overly enthusiastic. But overall, still welcoming & nice! The atmosphere is simple with wood seating areas. I like it. However sitting for a long duration can be a little uncomfortable since there's not much back support, but luckily they have a basket with padded pillows to sit on. Recently they added tables along the corner nook area which is great! Aside from that they have little tray-like table tops to set your drinks on or laptops/books/etc; while working. There's also plenty of outlets which is a plus. Not to mention they always seem to have a good playlist goin' :) Oh! & they have outside seating as well underneath shaded umbrellas. My only complaint is it gets really hot in there during the hotter months. Especially since they're facing south and catch all the direct light early on in the day. Don't get me wrong, I love the natural lighting! It's just more prone to getting hotter & I'm not sure if they have A/C.
