1/2 size fruit cake for $68
    Amy T.

If you're looking for a huge fruit cake to share with family, this is the place to be! I came in to the shop a day prior to when I wanted to pick up my order for their 1/2 size fruit cake that feeds about 25 people which was $60. I ordered this cake specifically for my husband's 35th birthday to share with his family which there was about 20 of us so it was the perfect size. I mean who doesn't like a not so sweet tasty cake with yummy fruits on top?! The inside of the cake consisted of vanilla sponge cake and "mil hojas" which is light layers of puff pastry. The outside of the cake had a variety of fruits like strawberries, grapes, pineapples, kiwis, and peaches. It was such a hit that the whole family killed it within that day. Both the adults and kids loved it! Definitely will be ordering this again for another family party :)

I called 5 days before pickup for a fruit cake without the cake part, only crispy "cookie." It's about $40 for 1/4 sheet sized. They say it feeds about 10-15 which is pretty accurate. It looks small but it's very filling. Pickup was easy and the staff was very nice. Delicious cake and very crispy. Fruit was not tart at all despite it being February.

BE AWARE! The guy up front will scam you! I'm almost positive he has done this many times before but don't be stupid and let that old Asian man up front scam you! Take out your calculator and make sure he doesn't take your hard earned money. I came in on a whim to get a cake for a last minute get together. I got the $38 fruit cake-it was already made and ready to go in the display case up front. Saw that they also sold mini plates for $3 and some forks for $2. I figured I'd be courteous to the host at the get together so I grabbed one of each which totals FIVE DOLLARS. I asked the guy if he prefers cash or card and he said cash. He said the cake is $38 and the plates/forks will be SIX dollars. I told him NO! The signs clearly state three and two dollars. He looked kinda mad. So I gave him $100 bill cash. So my cake + plates + forks = $43. I gave him $100 but he came back and said "here is your $55". I was pissed that he tried to gyp me AGAIN! I told him "No you owe me $57 not $55!" So he was pissed he couldn't scam me so he went back to the register to grab out $2 more dollars to give me my correct change. Imagine if he did that to every customer that walks in-it adds up! Normally I wouldn't leave a bad review but I just had to cuz he tried to scam me like I'm some dumb person. No ethics whatsoever. This is my second time here for their fruit cakes-cakes are decent. But be aware. Sure it's just a couple of bucks but come on-just be an honest person if he asked for tip or something I'd give it to him.

I thought the cake here was good - but not "all time." I was expecting more in the mil hojas layer and it was more like a compressed cookie than a "thousand leaves" of a thin layered pastry. The secret to a good "mil hojas" cake is the pastry layer - it cannot be hard like cookie -- it must be very light! The frosting was good -- but nothing notable. I think the fruit was fresh - but I couldn't tell if the peaches and kiwis were from a can. I probably wouldn't go back -- the cake didn't blow me away. I'm going to say the best cake of this style that I have had was at Long Phung Bakery in Westminster.

    their specialty cake

My mom said she likes to get her birthday cakes here. So, I stopped by and was able to walk away with a cake in hand. This is their affordable Specialty cake

The 1/4 quarter size cake $ 35 since it's full cookie/pastry instead of half and half, aka cookie & cake. Cost more 7.10.21

I normally get my Vietnamese fruit aka cookie cake from Vans bakery. Which is what Vans bakery is known for tiL my cousin told me about this bakery. Vans bakery can be a slight more in pricing I noticed. Possibly since i think of their known bakery staple name. This would be my go to local place in Anaheim if I didn't want to make the drive out to Garden Grove area for Vans Bakery. Their cake is just as good. Only thing is that they currently only do 3 type of fruit topping, Peach, pineapple and strawberry. The thick custard like in the cake filling is not overly sweet also the whipped cream they use. It's the perfect blend of sweetness. I Requested full pastry aka cookie tart instead of half & half. which is pastry & sponge cake, as good. Just my preference is the full tart. They charge extra when you do it full pastry/cookie. I noticed. When i ordered my cake the gentleman did say it's a customized cake order. He didn't inform me it was going to cost more. Til i went and picked up the order and saw the sizes and prices listed on the wall. Asked the lady associate and she mentioned it's a customized order. It would have been great if they told me that over the phone when i made my order that'll it'll cost more. Not that I'll change my mind but in case for other customers. It could help with choosing which cake they'd prefer along with pricing. End the end everyone loves the cakes. Definitely Was a hit for sure and highly recommend. Btw they write the greeting/wishes on the cake when you pick up the cake

The cake was DELICIOUS! Staff was friendly and the place looked nice. Located in a busy shopping center. I could see it being hard to find parking on a weekend.

Bought the cake and decorated ourselves.

I ordered a 3/4 milhojas cake the day before a baby shower over the phone for pickup by 1pm the next day. It all felt very unofficial so I called the morning of the shower just to confirm that they had my order and they did. I had asked them to leave it blank until I get there because I wasn't sure if I wanted writing or if I would decorate it myself. They were fine with that. When I arrived there was just a blank cream banner across the cake. I had decided to decorate it myself so I didn't request writing. My car was parked right in front of the bakery so the man helped me carry it out to the trunk of my car. It was a very quick and easy process. I didn't get to try the cake because I had to leave early but I heard people enjoyed it.

    Fyi- Closed until the 01/17/25

One time before it had a strange chemical-like taste and I couldn't finish it, but I think that was just a one-off because it's normally really good. The banana matcha was good too, although it could've used a little more banana foam this time. The lines can get pretty long, so I was glad it wasn't too busy today. My favorites are the fish sandwich pastry and the jalapeño cheddar pastry. This time I also tried the salt and cookie butter croissant, the s'mores Danish, the Nutella banana Danish, and the turkey and cheese croissant. Everything was good except the turkey and cheese croissant, it was way overcooked for my liking, so I probably wouldn't order that one again. Overall, a good bakery with consistently tasty pastries and drinks.

I got so many pastries. There were no misses. My favorite of the bunch was the blueberry cake. The cake wasn't too sweet, was moist, fluffy, and tasty. I enjoyed the matcha cheesecake, garlic sea salt bread, and raspberry cruffin as well. I also grabbed an egg bacon bread and regular sea salt bread to-go for future breakfasts. Warmed up, these were great in the morning! To drink I had the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte which was not too sweet and yummy! Good matcha flavor and the banana pudding was creamy. Mixed together, it was good. I also enjoyed the crunchy bits in there as well as the real banana slices. I got it at the small size, but the portion was generous. It went well with the pastries. There's some inside seating and tables as well as a bathroom available. There is lots of free parking around the bakery. I went in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was still packed! I love how the bakers were constantly baking even in the afternoon, so they brought out fresh batches of their pastries. The variety is definitely one of the strongest points here. We tried the Matcha Cruffin, Onion Cream Bread, and Three Cheese Bagel. The Onion Cream Bread was the best of the three. The cream was light and balanced well with the bread, but the onion flavor was pretty much lost. I could barely taste it. The Matcha Cruffin was disappointing. There was matcha powder on top, but absolutely no matcha filling inside. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or simply missed the filling in ours, but for something sold as a matcha cruffin, I expected an actual matcha presence beyond the topping. The Three Cheese Bagel, made with cheddar, cream cheese, and mozzarella, had good flavor but the texture was much too hard. We were dining in and had it warmed up, yet the bread was still tough and the cheese inside had already hardened. Service was fine, but nothing stood out. Overall, great selection and a nice space, but the pastries we tried were inconsistent.
