Not only does it have the typical tea shop flavors you'd expect (with the option to build your own drink), but also more whimsy, inspired ones like their Jolly Rancher Slushie, and a unique assortment of Asian and Latin snacks: popcorn chicken and tater tots with a selection of different seasonings, bubble waffles, churros--yum! We ordered a Jolly Rancher Slushie, a Black Sesame Milk Tea, and tater tots with cajun seasoning. Very much loved everything, and 75% sweetness was perfect. Doesn't seem like their drinks are overly sugary like other tea shops are. Sadly they didn't have their house special sauce, so we went with BBQ for our tots. No regrets, it was still so yummy and the tots were so nice and crispy. I found myself wanting a second serving. Ordering is easy through a kiosk, and the wait time was super short. The location is actually very cool and unexpected when you walk in! They have very comfortable seating and it's a pretty cool spot to hang out and enjoy some food or drinks. Everything was fresh and looked like it was made from scratch. There were multiple jars filled with ingredients including ones where you couldn't really see it. Since this was our first time here, we didn't really know what to order so we went with our usual-milk tea. Unfortunately the drinks were not as tasty as excepted. One was the signature milk tea with 50% sweetness and double pearls. It didn't have any type of taste- best way to describe it...meh. It was refreshing however there wasn't much flavor. One thing we did enjoy was their pearls. They are very tasteful and soft. Definitely saved our drink. The second drink was a black milk tea with 25% sweetness and I thought it was okay. Nothing to rave about but then again it wasn't an exciting order lol. The 3rd drink was the very berry slushie and it wasn't a hit. Might come back and give it one more try if we are in the area. The service was really slow when I went, took about 20 minutes for 3 drinks, but they were also training someone. Retried this place three times after being a regular customer for years. First, the boba is just inconsistent now. The milk tea has been stale. Pricing has significantly increased over the last year. A small signature milk tea was $4.75, now it's almost $6.00. Toppings are also double (ie: lychee jelly -$1.30). The drink we used to get is now $8.00 each. The popcorn chicken is still good. Just went back for the first time after moving away from the area and was disappointed to see my favorite Boba Tea spot was hit by shrinkflation. A regular is no longer a regular compared to any other Boba shop. The boba quality was not great either. Didn't taste or feel fresh or maybe they changed their supplier to a cheaper version too? Sadly, I don't agree with all of the 5-star reviews of the drinks here at Green Leaves. I ordered the Signature Milk Tea ($4.75) and Four Seasons Fruit Tea ($6.49) both with less ice and less sweet. They were just okay. Many Yelpers claim that their Signature Milk Tea has a distinct or strong tea flavor. It sort of does, but it reminds me of the "tea" flavor like the milk tea from Lollicup. Lollicup had a distinct and unique "tea" taste that isn't quite artificial, but it wasn't quite real either. Lollicup definitely used powder tea to make their milk teas and Green Leaves Signature Milk Tea reminds me of that taste. It's not bad at all, but just not what I hoped for it to be. The Four Seasons Fruit Tea was also not a drink to write home about, it didn't hit the spots of a fruit tea like the ones from Yifang or Sunright. Service was friendly! I went here one time years ago and never came back until recently. After shopping at the market across the street, I wanted a drink and a snack and I remembered this place so I gave it another try. Several years ago during my first visit I remember the owner being white, but it looks like staff now is Asian so im wondering if they had a change of owners? Not sure, but it seems Thai inspired now maybe? I wanted a fruit tea so ended up getting their passion fruit orange tea, its the one described as feeling like visiting Hawaii. I also got a small garlic fries, but be aware the serving is actually small. Haha The drink was decent but not amazing, however their ice level was killing me. Very little ice, I barely took a few sips in the 8mins or so of waiting for my fries and all the ice melted. Nothing destroys the intensity of a refreshing drink because of light ice that melts too fast. Yes, that's picky but I think thats true. Before I left I was able to get a sample of their milk tea. It tasted okay, reminded me of quicklys milk tea. One of the workers suggested that I get it with brown sugar syrup next time since I told her I like my drinks on the sweeter side. Ever since the ownership change, the drinks have not been the same. The milk tea was always our favorite drink and was consistently good. Last time we went, it was watered down and the POG smoothie was way too sweet. Super disappointed because it was the best tea shop in this area and the owner was always very friendly. I simply have to recognize Hector, who made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in the door today. I had never tried Green Leaves, but Yelp said that it was hard to go wrong as it sported a 4+ rating. Clearly, the vibe of the cafe met every expectation one would imagine from such a zen like name. The low lighting was calming and welcoming, and I was immediately drawn to the ordering station. Hector was finishing preparing the latest order when he turned his attention to me. I opened with the admission I had never been here before, but that I always assess my first time visits through the cafe's standard black milk tea. I asked him what he would recommend along those lines He suggested the Black Forest Milk Tea and added this stipulation: "Try it, and if you don't like it, it's on the house." When do you hear of people giving warranty promises for tea?? I couldn't refuse his kind gesture, agreed to his terms, and sat as he quickly whipped up the drink. Hector took my money and I'm glad he did, for the tea was delicious. Definitely meets my own standard for black milk teas, but be advised that the drinks are quite sweet. It's your run of the mill boba spot with popcorn chicken and tea and coffee BUT the service and care I always get here from the staff makes me never want to get boba anywhere else. I have been coming here for years now with my husband and I almost always get the cmt with sesame and boba. It's always so good and tastes so fresh! I love their jalapeño popcorn chicken too and again it's always so fresh tasting and I have never ever gotten sick from their popcorn chicken! I don't know how many times other spots have undercooked their food and gotten me sick but since I always come here now instead I haven't had that issue. The inside is very casual but dark and moody in a good way! The lights aren't bright and in your face but yet everything is always SO CLEAN. I love that about this place. As far as seating area and interior this place is very nice! Feels like you're in some tavern with their wine barrel seating and the oaky color theme. I had tried their signature milk tea and the jasmine milk tea here. I would expect the signature milk tea to be their best drink but unfortunately it fell short of expectation. It might be one of my least favorite one I've had. It has almost no flavor and just tasted like cold, bland milk. The jasmine milk tea even though better was very light on the flavor but relatively much better than the signature milk tea. We needed some sustenance after leaving Kaiser off of Kramer. This was one of the shops that was open at 11am I believe. It was also hot that day so we opted for some of their ice blended drinks and a side of popcorn chicken. Once inside, I think there's a hired help at the register while the owner prepares the food from the back. The owner had brought the popcorn chicken and the drinks over about 15 minutes after ordering. I do like the vibes here, it actually has a bar feel with the TV on the wall. I dig it, has that rustic meets country chic feel. The drinks and food are good here, I did wish there was more basil in the popcorn chicken. All of the other pictures shows it but unfortunately, we hardly had any in ours. The dipping sauces were kind of funky, definitely doesn't have that Asian taste, so we didn't bother with it. As for the smoothies, the pineapple one was fabulous. Sweetness level is perfect, not overly sweet at all. But we did drink a couple of chunks here and there. Not a deal breaker, that's for sure. I came here today with my daughter and I felt very underwhelmed with quality and flavor of the drinks. There was one other customer on her laptop and she already had her drink, so we were the only ones there and it took about 10 to 15 minutes just to get two drinks made. Why does it take so long? There's nothing else going on. I got the sesame tea with red bean paste and light ice but it felt like I was drinking a warm milkshake.
