Fresh pastries!!
Sanny C.

Had a lovely experience here. Was lucky enough to receive 30% off on the breads. We ordered the salted egg croissant, tom yum, and truffle mushroom salted bread to try. The salted egg croissant was so good!! It was perfect for breakfast or a snack. Croissant was soft w/mild filling of the egg yolk. The salted egg strands were yummy. Next favorite was the tom yum. The flavors in the salted bread really stood out. Got me craving for more hehhe Truffle mushroom was good as well. The favor was a little more subtle. Prob would be better if it was more warm. For the drinks, we got a London fog, latte, and jasmine. The London fog was ok. It was a little too milky for me. I added another espresso when home, but it was still a bit too milky for me. Didn't get to try the other drinks , but was advised the coffee wasn't that strong. Jasmine was ok. Would definitely return for the breads!! I also noticed that they offered cakes. Didn't get to try it this time. Hopefully, will be able to try it next time.

Bakerista is a unique Thai-inspired spot with amazing drinks and pastries! You can smell the goodness right when you walk in. Wifey and I got a box of salt breads and the Jasmine Matcha Coco Cloud for our drink. Everything was delicious and all of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming.

So excited they finally opened. Was looking forward to their coffee and pastries. Went to their soft opening. Walked in to a very welcoming hello. The place is so so cute and quaint. They have some seating inside and some little tables outside. I saw some familiar faces there which were nice to see. You have to be a little patient since they just opened so it does take a bit to get your coffee drinks. I ordered an iced salted caramel and my husband ordered a flat white. I am glad they are offering hot drinks . Our drinks were good. I will be trying some other options. I also tried one of their salty breads and it was very soft and delicious. I am so happy they are here.

Found a new bakery in OC that I already want to revisit! The bacon and fig pastry was the standout for me. The sweet fig and savory bacon work so well together. You also have to try the corn and truffle shio breads they're rich, comforting, and so good. And please save room for the coconut cake. It's one I wouldn't skip! My favorite drink was the jasmine oat matcha. It has such a unique floral aroma, and the jasmine lingers pleasantly after each sip. I loved it. Staff well trained about the menu and good recommendations There's plenty of parking behind the plaza, so finding a spot was easy. The bakery is also celebrating its soft opening with 30% off breads and cakes through September 27, 2026. I love supporting local businesses, and this new OC spot is worth a visit. Come give it a try! ^^

Best with my afternoon tea... yum

Really fresh bread and excellent coffee--everything feels high quality and thoughtfully prepared. The place is also very clean, cozy, and welcoming. A great spot to relax and enjoy something fresh! This is my second time trying the pastries from Bakerista and I found myself liking the unique twist to well-known flavors! This time I got the truffle mushroom bread and i fell in love with the way they make the bread here! First bite is soft and then a nice chew with a savory aftertaste. There is only a subtle hint of sweetness. I also got the white peach oolong and Es-Yen. The white peach with the jelly is to die for and i finished the drink sooner than I'd like! Will come back again to try the other pastries and cakes!

Bakerista just opened, and let me tell you... it was absolutely worth the wait! They started off STRONG First, the Popcorn Latte - sweet, creamy perfection topped with sweet cream and popcorn. I honestly didn't expect popcorn to work so well in a latte, but WOW! it's SO delicious! Then came the matcha and this was REALLY hard to choose, I tried the Matcha Duo with that beautiful matcha cream cloud, and I genuinely couldn't decide which one I liked better, But let me tell you, GET BOTH! Now for the pastries, I saw the chef working nonstop making fresh, delicious, mouth watering bread, and the moment you walk in, you get hit with that incredible fresh bakery smell I thought I was in heaven lol I had to start strong with my favorite, the Coconut Cake Pie, Are you kidding me?! My mind was blown,It was so gentle and soft, creamy without being overly sweet, literally heaven in one bite, The Triple Cheese Salted Bread was perfect, nice and warm on the outside, soft and cheesy inside Such a satisfying savory bread, The Truffle & Mushroom Béchamel was another favorite, It's a salted bread paired with that creamy truffle sauce inside, and OMG it literally tasted like truffle soup in a bread! Creamy, rich, and full of truffle flavor What could go wrong with that?! The Matcha Pistachio Bread was SO good, creamy, buttery, and flaky, almost like a matcha pistachio croissant, And if you're a lemon + Earl Grey lover, you HAVE to try this cake! The combination is perfect, a little tartness from the lemon, that beautiful Earl Grey aroma, soft and creamy texture, with just the right touch of sweet and sour, Everything I tried was delicious, and you can really taste the freshness and care that goes into the baking, Bakerista, you've definitely got me coming back soon!

I wish I lived closer! Second trip, and now this is one of my fav OC coffee/tea spots…read more Brought my friend for her B-day on a Sat mid-morning in Sept. The line goes to the door much of the time, but they keep it moving, keep it kind, and the one barista keeps the drinks coming out so quickly that you barely have time to find a seat! It was pretty full again with half studier/workers and half friend pairs/ groups. We happened to come on the day they had a collab for jeans recycling with Madewell: donate a pair of jeans and get a free 12-oz drink from the "taplist" (regular menu list) plus a coupon for 15% off a pair of jeans! What a great and generous promo for a cause. Inside vinyl shops look fun. I am sad that the stationery shop is gone, but still looking forward to bringing my fam to check our the vinyl and fun drinks. The drinks: We came here just for the Fall Banoffee Latte because we crave/miss this British flavor. It was pretty good and a good sweetness, but I think toffee topping or a little more toffee flavor would've elevated it. I actually liked the free pour of Strawberry Swing even better! Green tea with strawberry flavor and a floral touch without bitterness. Had a taste of my friend's Princess Daisy green tea with mango/passion fruit, and it had a bit of bitter/tea flavor, but it grew on my friend's palate with every sip. The food: Only tried the cinamon sugar donut, which was tasty, solid regualr yeast donut topped with ?buttercream frosting and 8 or so cinnamon toast crunch pieces. The add-it-yourself maple drizzle dropper was a fun touch, though might've liked it a tad more viscous if possible (turned out looking like it rained maple syrup on the donut, heh). Plenty of parking on Orange St public parking lot or along that street. Now they charge at the lot, about $1.45 per hour (oh well, better than LA parking). Looking forward to returning! Maybe for the bananas foster matcha (heard good things from friend of a foodie friend :)).

UPDATE! I'm thrilled to share that after my post, the owner…read moreof Rekindle, Rebecca, reached out to me and has been absolutely wonderful. It's not often today for the owner of a business to reach out directly to a customer - she did and it was a very positive engagement. There are time that even the best business has a hiccup and something goes wrong. What makes a huge difference is how the business responds, and therefore, Rekindle gets five stars. I'm certain my next visit will be fantastic - I'll be posting an update in the near future. Wow - So Disappointed! Rekindle was at the Taste of Orange this year and I enjoyed one of the Italian sandwich samples they were handing out. It was fantastic! We met the owner - she was very charismatic and charming. Today we stopped by to grab an Italian sandwich, and I just cannot believe they served me bread that was so old and dry - it would have been perfect for croutons, but definitely nothing like what we had at the Taste of Orange. The bread was so dry I had to dress it up with some olive relish to eat it - I don't expect when I pay $31 for a sandwich and chai iced tea latte to get home and have to start working on my sandwich. I accept some responsibility for this, because honestly, who goes to a coffee shop for a sandwich.

This review is mostly about the quality of our drinks. I ordered an iced dark roast and my boyfriend ordered an iced medium roast. I told the employee my name is Juna, and spelled it out twice. She put my name down as "Gina". Sad. The iced coffees were the most diluted coffees we have ever had in awhile. One look at it and I knew it was watered down. I took one sip and really did not taste anything except...water. It was a sad experience. Maybe I'll come back, maybe not. I usually would come back based on the quality of their roast

Oh, The Lost Bean... I'm at a loss for words…read more I really wanted to love this location. I've been a customer at the Tustin location for years, so I walked in excited. Unfortunately, this visit was one disappointment after another. We arrived at 8:30 a.m. hoping for a peaceful coffee-and-breakfast morning. Instead, we accidentally wandered into what felt like a Janis Joplin tribute concert. The music was blasting at nightclub volume--not exactly the relaxing start to the day we had in mind. But surprisingly... that wasn't even the worst part. The food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and the potatoes were still raw--hard enough to remind me they were once part of the ground.. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble. The coffee was decent , but honestly wasn't worth fighting the neighbors for a parking spot!
