Since we were already in Orange County, we stopped by a bakery at the Source Mall. I bought several pastries there. The fresh cream bread was very delicious. I didn't try the custard cream bread because my younger brothers ate it, so I can't really comment on the taste. I also haven't tried the pecan pie yet. Lately, Dubai chocolate cookies have been extremely popular and trendy, so I asked whether this bakery had them. They said yes, so I bought one for $6.75. However, when I tried it this morning, it was absolutely not a Dubai chocolate cookie. It was basically just a chocolate pie. There was no pistachio flavor at all, and no pistachios inside--just a very ordinary chocolate pie. That part was extremely disappointing. Also, yesterday I asked the bakery if they could provide paper plates so we could cut and share the pastries, but she said they didn't have any. Other bakeries usually provide paper plates, so it was disappointing as well.

Parking is free, there's a small lot directly in front, but if that fills up, there's additional parking in the connected plaza, which makes it easy. I didn't get to try the cake but brother-in-law and sister said the cake was delicious. I wouldn't mind returning just to get some more donuts and also grab some matcha latte nearby. The service here isn't the friendliest or the most helpful. I had to ask for a bag despite purchasing a box of donuts along with other pastries that was on display. Really unthoughtful knowing I was expected to walk through the mall without my items bagged. He couldn't muster any effort to look professional or attempt not looking visibly annoyed. The bakery area has ample seating inside where you can go ahead and devour your donuts and other drinks you might wanna grab from nearby cafe. The facilities feel a bit outdated and could use some remodeling. The restroom, in particular, is old and not very clean. Service is good. If you order online, they prepare your drink ahead of time and keep it chilled in the fridge until pickup, which is a nice touch.
