I bought two items and also wanted to try out their quiche. They apparently didn't have any available. I couldn't believe it because there were maybe 2 customers inside dining and chatting in a massive indoor dining space and it wasn't even 11am yet. Mind you that was on a Wednesday morning too. The pastries I got were also really stale. I have no idea how old they were, but it was definitely not fresh or tasty. Very dry and crappy. i got a red velvet cookie here a long time ago and i remember it being really good! my friend and i tried the cheesecake brownie today and it was okay.. was a little stiff and dry, but not bad. the cookies were definitely good though! i got the m&m chocolate chip cookie and it was pretty good! still a little dry and crumbly but i liked it. perhaps wouldve been better when it was fresh haha workers were patient and nice! the space is really nice to hang and chat, it's spacious and the artwork wall is cute! read more

Asked for a water cup and was very rudely/sternly told at checkout (after we paid for our baked goods) that they don't allow outside beverage. Like ok, rude. You couldn't have told us at the beginning? We gave you our business. The least we expect is no attitude. I had asked for a napkin only for her to rudely point to the direction of the napkins and laugh at me. She then proceeds to shit talk me with her coworker. Randomly found this place as I was walking around The Source. This place is so cute. I'm the outside there's a bench with its own tiny nursery. Inside, it's connected to a clothing store so no outside food is allowed. Service is always great! First time I came, they had a Nutella latte on their speciality/seasonal menu. I also tried the blueberry cake slice which was also good. They have such cute cakes shaped as panda or a bear head. I haven't tried any of the pastries yet bc I'm usually looking at the coffee menu haha. But today I tried the honey cinnamon latte & it's so good! Could not be more grateful that I found this spot while at The Source Mall! I visited The Bakery Cafe after dinner. There was no line when I went, but quite a few customers stopped by after I ordered. If you like matcha, I highly recommend their Organic Jeju Matcha Ice Blended! This is probably the best matcha drink I've ever had. Incredible matcha taste, super high quality. My friend ordered the Choco Earl Grey Latte,which was also AMAZING! Found this place on Yelp and it's less than a mile away from me so I couldn't wait to check it out. As soon as you walk in you see a display of cute little cakes, about $23-$28, for sure I'll be coming here the next time I need a cake. I was ready to have a slice of the Strawberry Cream Cake but then I saw the Chiffon Sando in another display case. So good, the cream cheese with the cake was delicious and the strawberries were so fresh. The staff is usually friendly and they have a selection of bakery goods like cookies, scones, and bread. They also have plenty of seating and I often get work done here. The tables are usually clean and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming to hang out. The cappuccino is good flavor but most of the time my drinks are not really hot but more warm. For example, I ate only half of my red bean cream bun and had to throw it away, which I never do with baked goods. There was an overwhelming amount of whipped cream within the bun and the pastry itself tasted dry, just like the cakes. Overall, I've never had such disappointing pastries from an Asian bakery. A wonderful bakery with lots of options to choose from! They sell cakes, pastries, breads and beverages here. The staff is very polite and kind and the shop is conjoined with a clothing store. The interior design is also very nice and the outside of the bakery has succulents and plants. The bakery school is two stores down from the actual store that sells food, but it seems like a super interesting concept/class to take if you are interested! We ordered the red bean mochi which was both chewy and had a sweet red bean filling. It seems like they may have added salt to their mochis which balances out the dessert perfectly. My only complaint and the reason that I gave it 4 stars is because it is rather pricey, with us paying $12 for 5 mochis. I came here with my friend right at opening time, so there weren't too many pastries out yet - I ended up purchasing the Jeju Green Tea and salted roll. Both ended up being okay - the green tea was light in the drink, so I didn't end up tasting the flavor as much throughout. We ended up staying there a few hours to study, but the music was quite loud, so it was difficult to fully focus. I did like the set up of the seating area, however, as it is super aesthetically pleasing and cozy. Our friends from out of town mentioned gombo/soboro donuts that they saw on insta so I decided to see what the hype was about. I assumed it would be the regular soboro outer layer with just normal bread on the inside but I was surprised to learn that the insides were filled with either sweet potato or red bean. I got both to try. I liked the red bean more than the sweet potato because the red bean balanced out the sweetness from the outer layer. The sweet potato filled one was definitely too sweet. I can see why people like this because it's very nostalgic of the soboro bread except with a twist. This cafe/bakery is located on the second floor of The Source. The interior of the cafe is open to the adjacent clothing store; it's one large space. The cafe has several tables and several counters. I came in for a coffee and a pastry. The pastries were in a glass case which included full sized cakes and a variety of macarons. There were some other pastries and cookies in baskets near the entrance. The young woman working here seemed subdued and/or bored. I ordered a latte and two treats: a tiramisu cup and a lemon tart. I took a seat and listened to the odd music mix playing (Good King Winceslas...in June?) as I partook of my purchases while battling the sluggish wifi. The latte was average, nothing really to say about it. Not great but not bad. The lemon tart was tiny and had a not-too-tart lemon center with meringue on top. The tart crust was too hard to break with plastic utensils provided so I ate with my fingers in order to bite through it. The tiramisu cup was a huge disappointment. Wikipedia, the website of ultimate supreme knowledge that is never wrong, says "Tiramisu is a coffee-flavored Italian dessert. It is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavored with cocoa." This thing had no sugar; it wasn't sweet at all. In fact it had no flavor at all. No coffee flavor. No cocoa flavor even though it looked like it was covered in cocoa. No ladyfingers to be found. Just flavorless custardy-textured nothingness. I guess this was an Asian spin on tiramisu for those who are adverse to sweets...or flavor. Pass on this one. read more

Cafe version of the store opened on 2nd floor. The bakery part is upstairs on 3rd floor inside the food court. They have different variety of mini cakes and snacks inside the store along with coffee, tea, lemonades, and ice cream. They make everything fresh there including the cakes and cold brew coffee. Inside the store is very cute and have plenty of seats inside to talk over coffee or desserts. So far I've tried their cold brew and heart shaped cake, square pink cake, and heart shaped cookies. Cold brew was very smooth (they have small and medium size) Heart shaped cake was raspberry flavor and square cake was strawberry flavor. Both of the cakes were very moist and very light. Heart shaped cookie was kinda like shortbread cookie with strawberry jam in the middle. One side of the wall has their lovely bear character holding the baguette and next to the bear has area that display signed baseball and antique items. Outside of the store has a angel wing photo wall that you can take a picture and they also have seating area outside under the umbrella. They also serve my favorite brand ice cream called McConnells that vons carry inside the store. I would have to try that next time I go back along with their sandwich and lemonades. The moment we stepped into The Bakery Cafe, I was overwhelmed by the incredible yeasty smells of bread and butter. Everything on both the shelves and in the glass cases looked incredibly tasty, and there were definitely some breads here I've never seen in any other bakery. Spent a long time making our selection, and even managed to snag some cheesy baguettes that were still warm and freshly brought out. The croffle, sugar mochi donut, and savory chive parmesan scones were all very delicious, and there's a some cute and convenient seating inside, although I can see it filling up quickly.
