Didn't have an appetite to get a dessert so we tried a drink and got the watermelon slush! It was so good and refreshing!! I need to come back to try something else
The worst soft serve ice cream I've ever had... The strawberry flavor was very artificial tasting which isn't my favorite. While I was eating it though, it was feeling powdery, which shouldn't be normal for ice cream? Presentation looks pretty though.
This is one of the many food options at the Source. It's conveniently located on the first level, away from the food court and restaurant levels. It offered a nice service of ice cream and it tasted delicious. The ambiance is outdoor table seating in a mall/shopping center. The ordering and serving process took a little longer than normal considering it was a slow evening on a weeknight.
I decided to try this place out. I have been to the source several times already. Walking around the source I see the ice creams pictured around so I made sure to stop by. Then I saw the menu and went with an affogato. I got an iced matcha latte for my niece. There is seating nearby. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
We ordered the strawberry and vanilla ice cream swirl. Overall, the swirl didn't really work, there was much more strawberry than vanilla. The taste of the strawberry soft serve was too artificial and did not taste good.

Unfortunately, he didn't feel well afterward, so if you're strictly avoiding dairy, it's unclear whether their soft serve is truly 100% dairy-free. Friendly service and a cute spot, but something to keep in mind if you have dietary sensitivities.
We wandered here after a heart meal, and decided to get sweet treat! Ended up ordering the Mugwort latte and the Corn latte. How unique!!! The corn latte was exactly what I thought it would be. But not in a bad way! I love a sweet corn drink! Super milky and fragrant! The mugwort one was interesting, I don't think I liked the aftertaste as much, but that's on me hahaha. They also had a Black Sesame latte, which I would love to try next time! Other things on their menu include affogatos, milk ice cream swirl (super tall!), pastries, smoothies, etc. A really cute and simple dessert stop!
Really wanted to like this place, but sadly it was such a disappointment. Ordered the Matcha Affogato and the Mini 4 Set Croffles. Everything was overly sweet. There was barely any matcha in the affogato. The Croffles weren't that good, tasted very meh. There wasn't a line, but it took a while for our order to be made. Service wasn't great either. Definitely not coming back here.
My son said the strawberry swirl ice cream was delicious! It was a nice treat to end the visit, and now he's already asking when we can come back.
My friend and I decided to stop by as we were already at the Source and wanted a quick and simple after-dinner sweet treat...and were we a bit disappointed with the soft serve. The decor on the other hand was quite nice. I got the strawberry soft serve and it was a bit disappointing. The soft serve reminded me of the Nesquik strawberry milk, but as an ice cream. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it just didn't taste quite right. The flavor was a bit off putting. Not sure if I would consider giving this place another shot or not, but as of now I'll stay away.
Came here for a sweet treat. This is a little place located on the first floor of the source. It's outdoor with a patio area. I ordered a blueberry yogurt smoothie and strawberry croffle. Both tasted great, especially the croffle. I would return to try other things.
This is a very cute outdoor drink spot inside of an outdoor mall. There is a large parking structure connected. My daughter got a mango smoothie that she said was every bit of fresh and delicious. The staff serving drinks was kind. We enjoyed have refreshments and great for a quick stop in between shopping.
Made a quick pit stop at don melt because they had the infamous squid game dalgona game! They even gave out a free k pop poster with a purchase of the dalgona. It was $5 for one but there was a deal if you bought all 4 shapes. Service was super fast since I was the only one in line. They didn't ask me which shape I wanted but I guess that's also the way the show goes anyway haha. Super fun that they even included the pin to try out playing the game. Ambiance is nice but it's only outdoor seating since it's a small storefront. The taste of the dalgona isn't the greatest and is slightly salty from the baking soda? Either way, it was a fine experience and it's cool that I was able to come across don melt while at the source!
Great spot on the first floor. Plenty of table and chairs. Quiet area away from the other shops. Brought a toddler so he was playing quietly by the benches and he could walk around without us having to worry. Croffle was good. Soft (not too hard unlike some places) and the whipped cream was yummy. We got the strawberry one and the fruits are nicely ripen and cut perfect size. Coffee was good. My wife heard great things about Don Melt so she stopped to grab some ice cream to give it a shot. First off, it's located at the end of the mall under the stairs so it took us a while to locate it. Once we arrived, there was plenty of chairs and seating and the place looked pretty cool. They also had a pretty extensive menu which consisted of coffee, tea, lattes, Korean drinks, smoothies, sparkling aids and of course, ice cream. I don't like ice cream but I was actually pretty excited for her to try it. Cool name, cool spot, I'm willing to bet something on it, it's about to be fire! After waiting a while I noticed she was still at the front, I wasn't sure if she was looking at the menu or what. So I go to the front and no one is in sight, I see the bell and I ring it and a young girl comes to help. Make sure you ring the bell smh. Finally after the long wait, and a small line formed behind us, she finally gets her ice cream on a cone. I see her walking towards me happy and then she takes a bite and everything goes out the window. She hated everything about the ice cream. It wasn't what she thought, she didn't like the texture, the flavor or anything about it. She had me taste it and she was right, it tasted like ice without the cream and kind of bland. It is exactly what it is marketed as, low fat, low calorie, low sugar, and low carbs so I have no clue what she thought she was getting. It clearly said, plant based lol. I told her and she said she at least wanted it to taste creamy and she was right, it was far from creamy but Don Melt didn't do anything wrong lol. Anyway, she didn't want to be mean so she held on to it until we got a few stores down and tossed it. Then we went on a hunt to find her ice cream smh. Now, from my experience, it wasn't bad and I understand what they are doing. It's a healthy ice cream that isn't creamy and it's not something I would eat but I get the concept. It's for healthy eaters wanting to fill a craving, which isn't for everyone and I think she was being a little emotional about wanting her ice cream. I personally wouldn't go back for the ice cream but I'd be willing to try something else off of their menu. I can see why this is pretty popular among healthy eaters. OOO 3 out of 5 Afros read more
order: matcha affogato highlights: - cute decorations outside - plenty of seating - fair prices cons: - the employees did not call my order and honestly may have never gave it to me if I did not go up and ask for it - the ice cream itself was not great, not very creamy or anything - the matcha was grainy and lacking overall: the soft serve and matcha could have definitely been better. with an affogato I expect the matcha to be hot to melt the ice cream but instead it just caked the ice cream, the establishment is nice don't get me wrong, I would just say order a croffle or something else. read more

This location is at the Source, there are a few tables to sit and enjoy your food too. My friends recommended the corn and cheese croffle and OMG it was so damn good. Honestly, I could have inhaled three of these...EASILY. Like where has this been my whole life? The slight sweetness of the croffle and the savory corn and cheese just hit right. And the Americano was smooth. Normally, I need to add creamer but here, I didn't need it at all. My friends went to get donuts instead but they totally missed out on this yumminess. This is a must go to place for a snack or pick me up. read more

Service was great and its location at the source is nice with plenty of seating. They only have two flavors of ice cream but they were very good. It is surprisingly plant based but I did notice it has almost a sorbet quality to it. read more
Disappointing. Saw the soft serve ad for Don Melt right where we parked so we decided to pick up a soft serve strawberry vanilla swirl cup to try. The small was about $5 which was fine. However, the soft serve did not taste good. The strawberry tasted artificial, like Pepto Bismol. We had a difficult time finishing our cup. Not sure if we'll give Don Melt another shot considering how bad that went.. read more

I didn't think to grab their names, but the two ladies working at the cafe today on December 20th, 2025 for the night shift absolutely made my first visit to this place the best experience ever!! From recommending other places in the source to visit for my first time, to making small talk about the area in general and being friendly as my matcha was made, the two ladies were absolute sweethearts the whole time!! I also used to be a server in the food industry, as well as a manager in the food industry for over 10 years... so coming from a pervious server such as myself, I very much appreciated the amazing service!! PRO-TIP: Check in on Yelp for a 10% discount. OR currently they're doing a collaboration with Soragumi next door where if you purchase something from Soragumi, get a receipt, you can get the 10% discount too. Yes, the soft serve cones are perfect for pictures and definitely what caught our attention passing by and watching other people eating their ice cream passing by. It's a cute, tall, eye catching ice cream on a cone that they advise NOT to tip or lean over. The smart man move is to get the cone and ask for a cup on the side to tip it over into when you're done with the pictures so it doesn't spill over or melt everywhere. We got the swirl of vanilla and strawberry and it was immensely sweet. The vanilla being sweeter than the strawberry. It might be because it's entirely plant based but the soft serve tastes like an electrolyte drink mixed with children's Flintstones' vitamins ground up inside it. Like a chalky artificial, grainy fruit taste that left an after taste too. Big skip especially when there's so man other dessert options at the Source. read more

Food: my bf and I were exploring the OC source mall and had just finished a sandwich together, but we wanted a cold icecream dessert afterwards. We walked around and came across this little shop. We ordered 2 different types of affogato, one in espresso and one in matcha flavor. I was so excited to try them but sigh, they fell sorta flat in my opinion. It was just a lot of standard creamy vanilla icecream with maybe a drizzle of either coffee or watered down green tea. If you like regular vanilla soft serve, then maybe this is your calling, but I guess I expected more flavor profile than that. I have a hunch that I'll enjoy their croffle options a lot more, so willing to come back for that Price: about $5 per affogato, which is reasonable, and they give huge servings. My bf and I actually didn't end up finishing the icecreams Ambiance: cute little hole in the wall in a corner of source mall first floor, they have outside tables about 5-6 of them, you can sit down here to eat your dessert after ordering them at the window Service: nice friendly people, I think they were training new employees when I went. The decor and tables outside were pretty cute and it was such a nice day that I decided to get some soft serve as I've seen their advertisements. The cashier was nice and she got my strawberry/vanilla swirl ice cream really quickly and made it look super cute too! HOWEVER, the ice cream itself was... off. First the texture was grainy/powdery like when you mix powder with cold water and it doesn't dissolve all the way. At first I thought Then the flavor itself was weird. The vanilla didn't taste like vanilla and the strawberry didn't quite taste like strawberry. They both tasted really artificial like those protein powder flavors. I would go back to try some other treats but their ice cream is NOT getting a second chance from me. read more
A small vendor area located in the Source, this little cute dessert shop is perfect for when you are feeling hot and wanting a cool refreshment like ice cream!! We hunted down this spot after seeing signs located around the mall. It's downstairs next to the escalators and located in the back, across from anime merchandise shops. The service was quick and ordering was easy. I was able to customize the ice cream I ate and got some matcha powder sprinkled ontop of my ice cream. There's only 2 flavors essentially for ice cream: vanilla and strawberry or a swirl of both. Naturally, I got the swirl to have the best of both worlds. I loved the option of getting it in a cup, despite how gorgeous it looks being in a cone. Those photos of the ice cream cones really got me tempted to try this place!! It was very sweet and I had no trouble finishing the ice cream. - plentiful outdoor seating - cute array of plants decorating the front - Yummy wafers were included with my ice cream!! Came here after dinner for some cold treats. It's at the bottom floor within the Source. We ordered the matcha and espresso affogato. I enjoyed eating the espresso one even tho it was late night. The bitterness complemented the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream. Wasn't overwhelming, but the ice cream wasn't that creamy like I hoped. Still, we were satisfied after killing it. read more

We got the swirl with vanilla & strawberry and a regular vanilla in a cup. Nothing special -- the ice cream itself is extremely chalky/grainy. We were expecting more of a creamier texture. This ice cream tastes almost exactly like IKEA ice cream. There are other dessert options I'd choose at The Source before coming back here. read more

If you need a cold treat at The Source, Don Melt is your go to guy. No windmills to fight though. Milk ice cream is a vibe and guilty pleasure of mine. Affogatos are another guilty pleasure of mine. Good thing Don Melt serves milk ice cream affogatos. It blends sweet and bitter together to make a perfect dessert that'll perk you right up. Portions are fairly generous especially if you opt for a cone, they really pile the swirls up on there. So eat quickly on a hot day unless you want your hands all covered with ice cream. read more
It's an outdoor stand that sell drinks and desserts. I decided to try their mini croffles set which comes with 4 and whatever flavors your stomach desires. I got tiramisu, matcha, blueberry and banana nutella. I decided to get an iced americano to drink and my friend got their fresh watermelon slush. There's a seating area for their customers so that's good. After a lil bit they called my number so I went to pick up my order at the window. Ooh those croffles absolutely looked so cute and delicious. If you don't know what a croffle is it's a croissant that's cooked in a waffle maker hench the name croffle. My friend and I dug in immediately and what a treat. All of these croffles have the same cream but different additions to change the flavors. I absolutely loved the tiramisu and banana nutella ones. The blueberry was ok but the matcha I really couldn't taste it. The americano was a perfect drink to go with this. My friend really enjoyed the freshness of her watermelon slush. I will definitely come back here if I ever come back to the Source. read more
This soft serve was decent but quality was like the free soft serve you get from a buffet. It's SUPER SWEET and icy. Definitely artificial and tasted lik pocky so it was ok but not what I expected when I was expecting a creamy Korean soft serve. read more
Was craving ice cream and unfortunately this place did not hit the spot. It doesn't have the texture of a soft serve or regular ice cream- it tastes kind of like flavored ice. If you're looking for somewhere that's similar to a Somi Somi texture, do not go here- quality of the ice cream is really bad. The workers were really sweet girls though. The ice cream however is just not what I was looking for. Maybe the croffle tastes good here but I didn't try that. read more

Matcha soft serve 4/5 - this was pretty good and matcha is pretty good quality in my opinion. I do wish the soft serve itself was softer and smoother. It was more icey but still tasty. We added wafer cookies as a topping which was additional .75. We waited about 20 mins to get out soft serve. read more
Since my friend is now vegan, thought it would be a great idea to try this vegan soft serve dessert stand after eating at the food court. I always get lost at the source, so took us awhile to get here. The dessert stand in on the 2nd floor towards the back of the floor. We both ordered the strawberry swirl on a cone. The soft serve is extremely soft, so they put a note on the window letting customers know they should not tilt the soft serve...which makes me think they experienced a handful of soft serves accidentally dropping to the ground. The soft serve was not as sweet as I had hoped, but for a planet-based ice cream I would say it's worth a try. I also wished the soft serve wasn't so soft as it started to drip quickly. The one odd thing, unrelated to the store was that there was a group of people which young children smoking right at the stand. I could not stand the smell of the smoke so we had to jump up to get out of there. All in all, would not mind coming back to try some other ice cream flavors or a dessert item from here. read more
