I stopped by Boba Holic after eating at another place just to grab a boba on my way home. With so many boba shops popping up, you never really know which ones are going to be good, but this one was actually really good. I got a pineapple mango green tea. It wasn't listed as one of the flavored tea options, but I was told they could make it, so I definitely had to try it. The drink was really refreshing and wasn't too sweet. Honestly, it was perfect. I'm a big fan of mango green tea, but some places make the green tea way too strong, which can give me a bit of a rush or even a headache if I drink it too quickly. Other places go the opposite direction and make their drinks way too sweet. It's not always easy finding a place that gets that balance right without either flavor being overpowering. Boba Holic did the job. Really good, refreshing green tea drink, and I'd definitely come back. read more

Large varies of milk teas, other teas, slushies and frapps. Boba was soft and fresh! They seemed to be understaffed when we went, but Service was still friendly and fast! I had a classic Thai milk tea, this time . My kids had other varieties that they all enjoyed. Regular size seemed a little bit smaller than most neighboring Boba shops. However, still tasty! Came here ten minutes before closing and the cashier was friendly and professional. She didn't mind us coming in right before closing. I recommend the Strawberry Coconut Shake if you are a fan of the flavor of Reddi-wip Original Whipped Cream because is has a similar base flavor. Food/Drink 3/5: Ordered a pistachio frappe and found their regular size drink to be seemingly smaller than most other boba shops. The drink itself was rather icy and chunky instead of a smoother frappe that I'm used to from other shops in the area. However, I did appreciate the bits of pistachio that were mixed into the drink and added a nice crunch and flavor. The boba were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of bounce to them. Service 4/5: Ordering is from a kiosk which limits customizations, but my drink did come out very quickly despite there being multiple orders ahead of mine. Price $$: At $6.50 a drink, I do think the price is a little steep for the size of drink being served. However, I did really appreciate the amount of boba they provided; not too much to overpower the drink, and just enough to have some in every sip. read more

TL;DR Natural flavors, good slushys and boba. Food I always get their misugaru slushy here! I love that it's a slushy. The multi-grain flavor of the misugaru tastes so good with a thick blended ice texture. It tastes very nostalgic to me and it pairs really well with boba! Visited BobaHolic on a Wednesday night. Otdered a Hokkaido Milk Tea. I was having trouble with their machine so I ended up ordering in person. Staff was patient and got the order quick in 5 minutes. The prices are good and service was quick and easy. That's where the good parts end. The boba itself was too hard. I'm not looking for soft boba- of course it needs bounce. But there's a perfect boba chewiness I've had at other places that this place doesn't have. The flavors were also not great. Two people in my party got the brown sugar fresh milk. Done way better elsewhere. One in my party got strawberry Oreo. So gross nobody else wanted it. Another in my party got Oreo. He said he's had better. I just feel in this day and age where boba shops are a dime a dozen the flavors and boba texture really must stand out for me to return. Would not return here. read more

BOBAHOLIC is located in a center with a lot of other popular eateries so the parking, though large, is a bit busy. There was no line to get in and there were only two parties in front of us in line to order. Not bad for a Saturday night. There were chairs and tables inside and most of them were occupied. The lady taking our order was fast, friendly, helpful and the staff got our order right -- and it was a large 9-drink order. Cute mom and pop boba shop in Buena Park that is across from The Source mall. Plenty of parking and easy to find. There was a nice korean ahjuhmah running the kitchen and counter with a nice worker. Ordered the winter melon, less sweet, large. Just the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness without being watered down. The kiddos liked the strawberry oreo shake which was yummy strawberry ice cream with real strawberries and oreo crumbles blended in. We would definitely recommend and come back if in the area! My go to boba place for 4 years now! I'm in love with their Frosty Milk #4!!! It has caramel, pudding & boba!!! Delicious delicious! I've also tried their cookies & cream!! BOMB! This is the only boba place my boyfriend will ever get his cookies & cream (his words)! They have many great other options!! The tea here is strong and good quality. Most times, I'm disappointed because the tea quality is low but here, they use a good tea and don't water it down and also they use quality syrups instead of powder. We got the lavender milk tea, the rose milk tea with boba, and a mango shake. But the man must heard us wrong and gave us a mango shaved ice instead. When we pointed that out to him, he graciously told us to keep the shaved ice and made us the shake. The shake was great but the shaved ice was incredible! And they give it to you in a drink cup so you can take it to go! It was chock full of mangoes too. If we lived here, we would totally frequent this place every day! read more

Our taiyaki looks so different from before. It was always crispy and crunchy on the outside with a shiny, sweet glaze and chewy on the inside. Worth coming back a second time! Stopped in haphazardly after looking for a different boba place. I'm glad I decided to stop here instead. This place is rather welcoming and in great shape. It is clean and orderly. The ambiance is nice and the music not too loud. A great selection of music was playing overhead - none of that garbage mumble-crap-rap that some places like to blast. BobaHolic appears to be a family ran place. This would be a nice place for many to sip on their drink and chat or maybe come to do some study or surf the web on a laptop. Plugs were available for a charge. As for the drinks, I tried the Boba Milk Tea and the Coffee Boba. Both were absolutely GOOD! The Coffee Boba coupled well with coffee jelly and pudding and thus was quite fantastic! My drink, however, was ordered without boba so I didn't get to try it - I'll have to do that another time. I imagine it would be pretty good too based off how great my drink was made. A tip for those trying out this place for the first time, ask for a sample of what you want to order. I was able to sample two drinks in a small cup before I decide to order one. read more

We grabbed a rose milk tea and a honeydew milk tea. The boba was soft, chewy, and perfectly cooked. The rose milk tea had strong rose flavors and actual rose petal bits. The honeydew milk tea flavor was very prominent too. The drinks were non-dairy based, and delicious. We ordered both in regular sugar, and it was just the right amount of sweetness. food: i am such a sucker for this place the flavors are so nostalgic vs the newer places that try to give off this fresh taste that sometimes isn't executed well! taro milk tea is a must try and their boba is the just right consistency service: it was so slow, i understand there was only two girls working but almost 20 minutes for my drink was a bit of an overkill, they do have a self automated machine to take orders so i was a bit shocked that it took so long and how crowded it got because of the lack of employees that day read more

Stopped by here before heading to Knotts. We got 3 drinks total, two were ok but one was not. I ordered the orange passion fruit boba tea and it was not good. The orange juice tasted like juice out of a container and same with the passion fruit one. The drink was bitter and the flavors did not mix well. I also got a stomach ache from drinking the drink. We ordered patbingsu, bungeoppang (Korean fish-shaped pastry), and an iced café latte. All three items were placed together on one tray. Before eating, I took a picture to post on Instagram. Then, when I picked up the iced latte to take a sip, the lid came off because it had not been properly secured, and the entire drink spilled all over my clothes. I immediately told the staff that the lid had not been properly closed. Instead of apologizing or offering any help, the employees insisted that they had definitely closed it properly and that they had heard the lid "click." They basically said it was not their fault. What was even more upsetting was that they then walked into the kitchen and left us without offering any assistance at all. Ripe bananas are naturally sweeter, and removing the strings would eliminate much of the bitterness while creating a smoother, creamier syrup and cold foam. I also ordered the regular Matcha Latte, and personally, I found it more enjoyable than the Banana Matcha. That said, my all-time favorite drink here is still the Butter Honey Latte. It's incredibly creamy, rich, and full of flavor. I highly recommend giving that one a try!

IF YOURE LATINO/HISPANIC ( like me) THE OWNER IS A RACIST SOB.; it was a summer day and I came back from the Claremont Loop with a friend. Yeah, I looked rough and beat up around the edges. I just came back from a hike it was summer for crying out loud decided to get a drink at a Boba place, so why not it was near my friend's apartment. I was process placing order after a drink recommendation from the cashier. and then went online and plugged in my phone to submit an online order cause I only have digital funds. I was gonna pay through my chime account. The moment he walked out from the back, he glanced at me, gave us expression of filth and disgust once he saw me and he said I don't like your kind around here. All you do is charge up your phone you need to leave now and I said told him I'm paying for a drink OK I could actually afford a drink. He then said I don't see the order being submitted. I said well if you let me submit the order I will and he said get out of here. We don't want your kind around here before slammed the door and stormed out I called him a racist assh*e!! TGIF! After a busy week of taking care of our patients at Quinn Dental, our team decided to treat ourselves to a relaxing afternoon here. Bobaholic is seriously one of my favorite boba spots! I got a drink here recently and it was SO good. The boba was perfectly chewy, the drink wasn't overly sweet, and everything tasted really fresh. Went in today with a friend for a fresh fruit tea and a coffee. I got the lychee green tea and it was so refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness! I'm a regular here and this is my first time going after the owner changed and the drinks/atmosphere def got better. I also got to meet the owner and she was so sweet! I ordered the Sunright Boba Milk Tea through the self-order kiosk, which normally comes with boba. When I received my drink, I noticed there wasn't any boba in it. I waited until someone was available to ask, and the employee told me they were out of boba. My issue wasn't that they had run out... things happen. It was that there was no indication of this on the kiosk, and no one informed me before making my drink. I've had a similar situation at another Sunright location in DTLA when they were out of boba, but they let me know before preparing my order so I could decide whether I still wanted the drink or wanted to change it. That's the kind of customer service I was expecting. When I mentioned that I wished I'd known before ordering, the employee apologized, but it felt so dismissive, as though it wasn't really a concern and they wanted to get back to what they were doing. If you're out of a core ingredient like boba, especially at a boba shop, there should be a notice on the kiosk or customers should be told before their drinks are made. It would save customers from disappointment and make for a much better experience.

It wasn't too sweet the amount of tart strawberry was perfect. The taiyaki was fresh and nearly burned me going down. If you need a nice cold treat this is hard to beat, the only thing is, the shop is in the food court within the super market so it's easy to miss it and it shares seating with the other restaurants. Really a hidden gem and would really recommend checking it out.

It has a very homemade feel, and everything tasted like it was made with care. The shaved ice was the star of the visit. Unlike the crunchy, icy shaved ice you find at many places, this one was incredibly smooth, creamy, and milky--it practically melted in your mouth. The texture alone makes it worth coming back for. If you're already shopping at the market, definitely take a few extra minutes to stop by for dessert. It's refreshing, satisfying, and one of those hidden spots you almost don't want to tell anyone about. I'll definitely be returning the next time I'm craving a soft, creamy shaved ice. They only take cash when I visited.

The Korean breads and pastries are wonderful, with a great variety to choose from. What really makes this place stand out is the coffee. They have professional coffee roasters and take their coffee seriously, which is not something you find at every bakery café. There are a lot of tables and it's a good place for students to study or for friends to meet. The interior is VERY big and there are quite a lot of food and drink options. I got the A-Shot-Chu which is a peach iced tea with a shot of espresso. It's pretty good, and I would recommend it. I also got a garlic cream cheese bread, but that was huge! I only ate 2 pieces of the bread and couldn't finish the rest. All of it is self-order on the kiosks, with the baristas and workers behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, that turned into over an hour--with no updates from staff during that time. What made it worse was that we only found out after we had already paid that the kitchen was backed up. That's something customers deserve to know upfront so they can decide whether they're willing to wait. We were also there with a baby who needed to go down for a nap, which made the long, unexpected delay even more difficult. On top of that, they had already run out of matcha and the menu was extremely limited, which was disappointing considering that's one of the main draws of a place like this. Overall, poor communication and lack of transparency really ruined the experience. I understand delays happen, but being upfront and managing expectations would have made a huge difference. Extremely disappointed. We went to this place a long time ago when they first opened and remembered them having a more extensive menu and it being far better. Sad to see that this place has gone downhill. My family and I will definitely not be coming back again.
