I've only gotten 1 drink here, but it was so good! I got their specialty Monster Boba, which did not come with caffeine. That is usually my struggle when I come to these boba places in the evening, because I can't do actual tea at night. I love how fast the service is here, my drink was out almost instantly. The brown sugar drip on the sides were actually SO good, and the drink wasn't too sweet even though I had the sweetness level at a solid 75%. The golden boba was probably the best boba I've ever had: just the perfect amount of chewy, bouncy, poppiness. This drink is literally living rent free in my head! With all these new boba shops opening up lately, Ding Tea will forever hold a special place in my heart. I'm more of an iced tea lover when it comes to boba shops but when I'm craving a milk tea, Ding Tea is where I always go to for their Signature Milk Tea. I usually don't get tapioca either unless it's from Ding Tea because I love their golden boba! I've been to probably hundreds of boba places at this point and not many places have Wintermelon as one of their flavors or if they do, it just doesn't taste as good to me like it does from Ding Tea. Their wintermelon is usually made with green tea but I personally like it better with black tea and the employees are always nice enough to make it that way for me which I appreciate. The employees I've encountered are always nice and accommodating. This location is located at the source and there are a few other competitors there as well but Ding Tea will always be my choice when I visit the source. The source is a busy place so it can get crowded in the store and it doesn't have lots of seating inside but there's plenty of spots outside all around the source where you can have a seat and enjoy your drinks. read more

Just your regular neighbor hood Ding Tea. It seems like they are every where these days but they have consistently drinks and know what to expect these days. I had ordered the Chocolate Milk Tea and the Signature Milk Tea with boba. They were both good, except the boba felt old as they were extra chewy and a little harder than what I've usually had. As good as the chocolate milk tea was I'm more of a black milk tea person which is what the signature milk tea is. One of the best things at the Source! I'm quite familiar with the franchise and this location makes their drinks very similar to the others. The menu and sizing are pretty much the same. The only thing that might differ amongst locations is the price, but that's pretty common. * Honey Green Milk Tea: 10/10 - tasty and they adjusted the sweetness level perfectly * Golden Boba (Topping): 9/10 - soft and chewy The interior is very beautiful and they have a couple of tables to sit at. The worst experience I've ever had here. My friend and I came here when the place was empty and had ordered drinks. Hers came out before mine and by this time a few more people had walked in. Everyone else that came in after us got their drinks and I was still waiting on mine. I had even seen one of the workers go out of her way to start taking pictures of her drink yet I still hadn't gotten mine. There are compact parking spots, so be careful. Ambiance/Parking: They have a small space with limited indoor seating. No outdoor seating. It's pretty clean inside with a cute floral decor on the wall. Service: The workers were quick & efficient. The cashier that assisted us was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good recommendations. Throughput was under 3 min after ordering. Drinks: We've been to many Ding Teas, so we've tried majority of their drinks. I wanted something refreshing, so I got the Lychee Milk Tea w/ crystal boba. This tasted exactly how it sounds. The lychee definitely came through. The crystal was firm & chewy. My bf got the Thai Latte w/ almond milk. It wasn't his favorite; he's gotten better Thai drinks. He thought it was okay - the Thai flavor was lacking. Pricing: Decent prices $$ for boba drinks. I haven't been to a Ding Tea in a while. I was really surprised that they now offer way more drinks. I frequent the Source OC often for the kpop events that are held there. Pretty much every time I'm there, I'm grabbing a drink at Ding Tea. Usually, the line is pretty long as other kpop fans are also in line grabbing a drink, so I understand that there will be a wait. I was there on June 7th for another kpop event, and no one was in line. There was maybe one other person in the shop waiting for their drink. Somehow, it took 10-15 mins to get my drink. I got winter melon milk tea with NO boba, so I wasn't waiting on a new batch of boba or anything. The drink was fine and tasted great, but I do think it came out too slowly when there was no one in the shop. In general, this location in particular takes longer to make drinks compared to other locations I've been to, even during busy times. I'm not sure if it's the availability, equipment, or staff, but this is definitely a place for improvement. read more

There was plenty of parking since it has a parking structure with free parking next to it. The shop is small so if you have a big group, it is better to get your drinks and head outside. It is a little pricey for the boba drinks because of the sizes, but they do have a good variety of different drinks. Boba Tea after dinner in Buena Park, California... My friends wanted to meet somewhere after supper. They selected Ding Tea at The Source - maybe because of the free parking in the structure. The Source has many shopping and dining options. If friends don't agree on one place, they can split up, be happy, and meet up together later. Luckily, we all like Ding Tea. It comes with cheese, so was a bit skeptical. Unfortunately I didn't read everything before placing the order. It was great, though I didn't order less sugar or less ice, it wasn't so sweet at first, so I mixed it a bit. Still not as sweet but got sweeter as I drank more of it to the bottom. I feel like my matcha didn't have almond milk on there because it gave me tummy troubles after a while. Which is annoying because I'm sure most of these powders are already mixed with dairy/lactose in there. Sigh, I'll really have to avoid any type of milks from now on. Stopped by Ding Tea after dinner for a little drink and pick me up! This isn't the first Ding Tea I've been to. This location has a cute little photo op location against the wall. The seating at the location is a little strange, as all the seats are lined up against the perimeter of the inside, leaving the middle space primarily for folks standing/waiting in line. Still, the location is clean and there are no other major concerns. I got the Jasmine Green Milk tea initially, but it didn't taste the way that it usually does (I know, I'm being a baby, but it was EXTRA bitter and I really didn't enjoy it), but the staff members kindly changed out my drink to a different one (free of charge) and I was so grateful. The cashier and other staff members were really nice! They were helpful and friendly (always a bonus). Dear Owner If you have camera, please run from 9:30~10pm I ordered taro shake and the guy working during this time on 7/5 Saturday made my order - I ordered large without boba. He made mine small with boba When I told him that the order is wrong, he took back, stuck a spoon in to remove all the boba (I was watching him) and blended extra to make it large - when the order came out, it didn't have any sweetness at all. Just tasted like ice and milk blended with no taste at all. I even had my wife taste them and she said the same thing that they forgot the sweetener. When I told him, he took it back, added sugar and mixed them with spoon, than decided to put it on a blender and re mix them because mixing with spoon didn't really work for him (now I don't want them anymore - it's disgusting) than bring it out which is now a taro milk tea. I ordered a shake, and after so many mix with spoons and blender, it's a melted milk tea. I literally stared at him, put down the drink and walked out because I didn't want that disgusting drink anymore. However, they make drinks pretty quickly, so even if it appears crowded inside, you hopefully won't have too long of a wait! I was actually really disappointed in my drink not having the star fruit jelly in it despite it being on the label of my drink. They put coconut jelly instead which is fine because I used to order that anyway, but star fruit jelly is so much more fun. The flavor of the peach green tea was decent though. This Ding Teach branch is located on the ground floor of The Source OC in Buena Park. The Source is a large shopping center full great eats and has a large free parking structure. Monster Boba Milk Tea with egg pudding was fantastic. What was even better is you can reduce the sugar level. Boba was cooked all the way through and has a great texture. There was a short line to order but it didn't take long at all before our order was taken. He didn't hear the orders I had placed and got the order wrong and then had the audacity to put me on blast with his loud speaker stating, "I mean it's only $0.75" and etc. instead of just apologizing and diffusing the situation. He didn't seem to care about anything in the world except being proud he acted like an immature child. So, I just didn't even bother arguing with his rude demeanor of trying to embarrass a customer who did nothing wrong but walk in a business, trying to buy something. Also, the tables and the area of this cafe were very disgusting.. all the tables were dirty, sticky, and covered in unknown substances. Most tables were this dirty (in the picture below), so I did not want to try looking around more. The wall decor of flowers for pictures was definitely cute! The tea and drinks are usually pretty alright. I think it depends on who makes them and sometimes I get really water down drinks but today the drinks were pretty good! Very cute spot! Theres not too much seating inside and it can get a bit crowded but the source has a lot of different areas to walk around. Err I kinda forgot to ask for light ice because I wasn't prompted to, but they really packed on the ice for a small cup. I got the peach tea, which was alright, but again the flavor didnt compensate for the ice. I think for the price of $6-$7 I would've gone to another place even if I had been cognizant enough to get less ice haha. read more
