With all these new boba shops opening up lately, Ding Tea will forever hold a special place in my heart. I'm more of an iced tea lover when it comes to boba shops but when I'm craving a milk tea, Ding Tea is where I always go to for their Signature Milk Tea. I usually don't get tapioca either unless it's from Ding Tea because I love their golden boba! I've been to probably hundreds of boba places at this point and not many places have Wintermelon as one of their flavors or if they do, it just doesn't taste as good to me like it does from Ding Tea. Their wintermelon is usually made with green tea but I personally like it better with black tea and the employees are always nice enough to make it that way for me which I appreciate. The employees I've encountered are always nice and accommodating. This location is located at the source and there are a few other competitors there as well but Ding Tea will always be my choice when I visit the source. The source is a busy place so it can get crowded in the store and it doesn't have lots of seating inside but there's plenty of spots outside all around the source where you can have a seat and enjoy your drinks.
Just your regular neighbor hood Ding Tea. It seems like they are every where these days but they have consistently drinks and know what to expect these days. I had ordered the Chocolate Milk Tea and the Signature Milk Tea with boba. They were both good, except the boba felt old as they were extra chewy and a little harder than what I've usually had. As good as the chocolate milk tea was I'm more of a black milk tea person which is what the signature milk tea is. There's seating both inside and outside and this is located at the Source (First Floor) in Buena Park. Just park in the structure and you are good to go.
Great selection of caffeinated and non caffeinated drinks! The butterfly lychee drink was so cute and fun to mix! The drink itself was very refreshing and perfect for a hot day out. The employee was also very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We received our drinks in a very timely manner too. Fantastic service!
This Ding Tea is located at The Source on the first floor. I wasn't aware that there was a parking garage since we're not from this area, but we ended up parking right across the street near a kbbq restaurant (the walk wasn't too far). I always get my matcha milk tea. What I like about Ding Tea is their golden boba and that most locations I've been to make their drinks consistently the same.
One of the best things at the Source! I'm quite familiar with the franchise and this location makes their drinks very similar to the others. The menu and sizing are pretty much the same. The only thing that might differ amongst locations is the price, but that's pretty common. * Honey Green Milk Tea: 10/10 - tasty and they adjusted the sweetness level perfectly * Golden Boba (Topping): 9/10 - soft and chewy The interior is very beautiful and they have a couple of tables to sit at. They're located on the ground floor so it should be easy to locate. The workers were pretty nice and made our drink quickly. Without this boba shop, I probably wouldn't come to the Source as much, to be honest. Highly recommend!
Of course grabbing boba after dinner is mandatory. This was the only spot open late until 10:30pm. Parking: There's a free parking structure. Finding a spot can be a hit or miss. There are compact parking spots, so be careful. Ambiance/Parking: They have a small space with limited indoor seating. No outdoor seating. It's pretty clean inside with a cute floral decor on the wall. Service: The workers were quick & efficient. The cashier that assisted us was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good recommendations. Throughput was under 3 min after ordering. Drinks: We've been to many Ding Teas, so we've tried majority of their drinks. I wanted something refreshing, so I got the Lychee Milk Tea w/ crystal boba. This tasted exactly how it sounds. The lychee definitely came through. The crystal was firm & chewy. My bf got the Thai Latte w/ almond milk. It wasn't his favorite; he's gotten better Thai drinks. He thought it was okay - the Thai flavor was lacking. Pricing: Decent prices $$ for boba drinks. I haven't been to a Ding Tea in a while. I was really surprised that they now offer way more drinks. Will come back to try their new offerings.
This boba place is located within the OC Source. Definitely a great place to take some pictures with your boba drinks and friends because they have a cute interior. There was plenty of parking since it has a parking structure with free parking next to it. The shop is small so if you have a big group, it is better to get your drinks and head outside. It is a little pricey for the boba drinks because of the sizes, but they do have a good variety of different drinks. I got a wintermelon milk tea with their golden honey boba, and it was a tasty basic drink. Service was friendly and very quick in having our orders out since there was a lot of people waiting. It isn't a bad place to get boba, especially if you like the Ding Tea chain.
not a bad place to pop in. very small, so i wouldn't recommend fighting for a seat when you can get so much more out of walking around!
This Ding Tea is located at the Source, and there is plenty of parking. My friends and I stopped by after we had dinner nearby. I love the overall aesthetics of the shop. It is a cute small shop, so if you drop by with a large group there might not be enough seating inside. The service was quite quick, we got our tea pretty fast. I got a passion fruit yakult at 75% sweetness and would say it was pretty good. I like how it wasn't too sweet and just enough balance for an after meal drink.
Boba Tea after dinner in Buena Park, California... My friends wanted to meet somewhere after supper. They selected Ding Tea at The Source - maybe because of the free parking in the structure. The Source has many shopping and dining options. If friends don't agree on one place, they can split up, be happy, and meet up together later. Luckily, we all like Ding Tea. We each chose something different to drink. We were quite pleased to have a chat in the cute environment. The Instagram-worthy wall was the highlight. The one thing I didn't like was the strange odor. The shop had a weird fragrance that wasn't pleasant. I was glad to go outside, but I got used to it. Haha! I did like my Butterfly Lychee drink! It had a pretty purple layer, and it wasn't too sweet. It was fruity and refreshing! Thanks, friends, for a fun catch-up session!
Good place to go if you're ever craving boba but just want the classics. There aren't any unique flavors but they don't disappoint. The service is quick and the staff were friendly

I haven't tasted the boba yet but I put the order in 20 min ago and the two girls who se very lost was asking what I ordered. I had to tell them my order- lychee milk tea with lychee jelly + golden boba, 50% sweet and less ice. It's complicated order I guess. But I wonder if ownership changed. I had to wait for them make three orders. One of the girl says that they no longer have tablet and that's why they didn't have my order?
Food/drinks: 4/5 Service: 1/4 Ambiance: 2/5 Just came back from visiting this location of Ding Tea, and I'm super appalled at the service provided by the staff. There were only two visible staff of one lady who was making all the drinks, and a small, young male working the cash register and orders. He was very unprofessional and rude. He didn't hear the orders I had placed and got the order wrong and then had the audacity to put me on blast with his loud speaker stating, "I mean it's only $0.75" and etc. instead of just apologizing and diffusing the situation. He didn't seem to care about anything in the world except being proud he acted like an immature child. So, I just didn't even bother arguing with his rude demeanor of trying to embarrass a customer who did nothing wrong but walk in a business, trying to buy something. Also, the tables and the area of this cafe were very disgusting.. all the tables were dirty, sticky, and covered in unknown substances. Most tables were this dirty (in the picture below), so I did not want to try looking around more. The wall decor of flowers for pictures was definitely cute! The tea and drinks are usually pretty alright. I think it depends on who makes them and sometimes I get really water down drinks but today the drinks were pretty good! All in all, I hope this place either trains their staff again, recruit new ones, renovate the location, or either raise their workers' pay cause there is definitely an ongoing issue at this location. read more

Been to different Ding Teas around LA and they've always been consistently good. We were extremely thirsty and craving boba after a long day at Disneyland and ordered online. Ordering online is confusing because there isn't an option for regular boba. It only says Crystal Boba or Golden Boba but the photos shows normal black colored boba. I wrote in the comments that we wanted normal black boba but they didn't put it in the order which is really unfortunate because we wanted boba. Drinks we ordered: 1. Guava Green Tea: My favorite drink at Ding Tea. I love the Guava flavor and it goes so well with the green tea. The drink is always WAY too sweet though even with 30% sugar. 2. Grapefruit Green Tea: Delicious and refreshing. Excellent grapefruit flavor and strong green tea flavor which I love. 3. Jasmine Milk Tea: Asked for 30% and it was a bit too sweet. My GF liked it though. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Overall, the order was ready when we came but just disappointed about the boba and how confusing it is to order. read more
Very cute spot! Theres not too much seating inside and it can get a bit crowded but the source has a lot of different areas to walk around. Err I kinda forgot to ask for light ice because I wasn't prompted to, but they really packed on the ice for a small cup. I got the peach tea, which was alright, but again the flavor didnt compensate for the ice. I think for the price of $6-$7 I would've gone to another place even if I had been cognizant enough to get less ice haha. read more

Ding Tea has a lot of locations. This shop is at The Source. Very convenient to have this Boba place here. The nieces are always craving Boba drinks which is why we dropped in here. The shop is nicely decorated, and service was okay. It was unanimous for the group. Everyone thought the drinks all tasted average. Tastes have changed I believe. There are now quite a few other boba places that the family prefers patronizing. Still, thankful that this Ding Tea is at The Source to satisfy any boba craving they may have when we come to this outdoor mall. read more
A few weeks ago, my dear friend and I were at the Source in Buena Park walking around and checking out the place. We ended up at Ding Tea for some drinks. I ordered the Wintermelon Milk Tea with lychee jelly and my friend ordered the Peach Green Tea. Mine was a tad sweeter than I would have liked. I was prewarned by the cashier that it is sweet, but I like to try a new drink with its original level of sweetness and I would adjust it the next time... should I get that drink again. I probably will not get the Wintermelon Melon Tea again LOL. My friend liked her drink. At least one of us was satisfied. Sometimes it would be nice to get a sampling of the drinks, but I guess it's just not feasible with so many drinks. All we can go with is word of mouth on what is good or just try them first hand. Staff was friendly, but not too smiley though, but then again they were wearing a mask LOL. I can sense it though through their eyes LOL. Prices were okay. At least they don't short you a couple inches from the top of the drink when you ask for no ice like some other Asian drink place (ridiculous! IMHO). Good job Ding Tea for keeping your customers happy! Give Ding Tea a try when you're at the Source. Happy Tea'ing! read more

Located on the first floor of The Source. Ding Tea has been consistent wherever I've gone. I always get the Signature Milk Tea no boba but decided to get the Rose Milk Tea and I am in love. I think this will be my new flavor of choice. I love the rose flora aroma. Not too sweet, strong and creamy. read more

Covid 19 times 2020 I am normally a Gong Cha person but I wanted to see what this place was all about. 1st floor location instead of the food court area where Gong Cha and other eateries are located. I appreciate that since one who is shopping around may not want to go all the way to the top just to get some boba teas. Upon entry, there were social distancing signs, hand sanitizer and the cashier is nicely guarded with some plexi plastic for the protection of their workers. There were two guys working that day and they did not seem super enthusiastic about their jobs. I wanted a few minutes before they decided to assist me with my order. I purchased a taro milk tea boba and a signature milk tea with boba. Considering there was only one couple waiting to receive their drinks before me, service was quite slow. Signature milk tea boba- standard, nothing special. Taro milk tea boba- I like their version of this better than Gong Cha as it did not taste like powdered skim milk. It was an average experience. It is always nice to have some different drink options within one shopping area. Service wise- Gong Cha is definitely more efficient. read more

This Ding Tea location is inside the Source plaza on the first floor near Myung Rang hot dog, Flip Poly, and a k-pop store. The inside is so pretty and I love the floral decoration on the wall. I think this location is the most aesthetic Ding Tea that I've seen! And I LOVE Ding Tea so I go to a lot. There aren't a lot of seats but the 2nd AND 3rd floor of this plaza has a huge food court to sit! Sometimes it does get quiet so you can definitely sit inside then. The cashiers here are always pretty friendly and chill. I always always order the peach green tea with lychee jelly (75% sweetness and 75% ice level). It's so refreshing and not too sweet. I think the quality of lychee jelly is amazing here! The drink has such a great taste and is so delicious, especially during a hot day. Overall, I would recommend coming here. The service is decent and the drinks are great! I know that my friends love the quality of boba here too so I would suggest it as well. Their menu is very extensive and it's easy to find something for anyone. The price is reasonable as well. The plaza is a nice place to hang out with friends and get a diverse range of different food. Make sure to come here for dessert after! read more

Parking has a huge lot for the mall -- I always end up finding parking on the bottom floor. The Passion Fruit Yakult though. WOW. Just makes my mouth water thinking of it. The tanginess from each flavor really compliments one another with the sweetness -- I strongly recommend this with crystal boba at 75% sweetness! This has to be my favorite drink of all time at the moment. The Taro boba and every other milk tea boba I've gotten here is solid. The boba was a little too chewy for me but it's all good. I really like the customization here where you can change sweetness and levels of ice. The website wasn't working properly when I had made my order online so when I came to pick up my order, the workers hadn't start making it yet (since they didn't know about it). I recommend calling in instead just to be sure it's ready before you pick it up -- That being said the workers were super nice about it and made the drinks asap. Here, they pack your boba in a plastic bag for you to hold (the top is covered with a plastic layer so you don't have to worry about spilling) Social Distancing -- Workers wear masks and anyone who enters must as well. The ground has 6ft away stickers where customers can stand while waiting in line. read more

I've tried four different Ding tea locations and this is my favorite by far. The interior of the shop is super cute with chic furniture and lighting, and a beautiful and elegant flower wall backdrop. I really love the Strawberry Yakult drink here, which taste like freshly-made strawberry milk with strawberry pulp and a kick of that unique yakult flavor. It's refreshing and soothing, perfect on a hot day. Until recently, I wasn't really a fan of the milk teas by this franchise. I had previously tried at a different location the Brown sugar milk tea, which tasted average and a little watered down, and the Hokkaido milk tea, which was way too sickeningly sweet, even for me. So I had basically given up on all of their other drinks besides the Yakult series. However, yesterday I walked into this location in Buena Park and decided to try something different. I asked about their Taro milk tea and the employee told me it's really good and one of their best-selling drinks. And I could definitely see why- it was one of the better taro milk teas I've ever had. Located on the first floor of The Source. All the goods mentioned are very good, each with their own unique taste. I would definitely recommend trying out there new honey drinks as that has become a new favorite of mine. Especially the strawberry honey tea. If you are just going for a quick boba run, I would say Ding Tea is the way to go for the taste. I will say though that the shop is very small, and is usually busy so it may take a bit more time to get the drink compared to other locations. read more

I docked a star because there's no option to change ice and sweetness levels through the Grubhub app. Other Ding Teas have that option on the app-- this place doesn't, so it's best if you can order in person to customize the drink to your preference. Monster Boba Latte: One of the drinks that's usually consistent of all the Ding Teas I've been to. It's good for those who have a sweet tooth. Taro Smash: Taro smash? More like taro chunks. I like taro drinks, and it's unfortunately that this one missed the mark. There's little taro to start with, and you're basically drinking a milk tea and sucking in taro chunks in between. It looked good in the photos, but it tasted average. Get a taro milk tea instead. Make sure to check your drinks before you leave! The seal broke on one of my drinks and leaked in the bag I picked it up in (found out when I got to the parking lot). read more

Been to so many ding tea locations; it's my first time visiting this one. The place is small but it's cute inside with drinks that I don't see at other locations too. I ordered a milk latte and a lychee butterfly drink. Both are so Instagram worthy. Too bad they might be short on staff because the staff needed to take orders and also make drinks too; that took a little bits longer than normal. read more

The interior of the restaurant is pretty nice and they have several tables for outdoor and indoor seating that are reserved for Ding Tea customers. We ordered the kiwi aloe Vera juice and it was actually quite good. The aloe Vera is chewy and cooling and the kiwi juice has little kiwi seeds that add bits of texture to the drink! I would recommend customizing the sweetness because it is rather sweet for someone who would normally order 50%. This is a refreshing cold drink, and I'd definitely recommend it. I ordered the Butterfly Wintermelon Milk Tea with Boba honestly just because I thought the color looked cool. The drink itself tastes exactly just like the normal Wintermelon Milk Tea. Very refreshing and perfect on a hot day. I love Ding Tea's boba consistency, and I always get their drinks less sweet (50%) because the normal is a bit too sweet for my liking. Their monster boba latte is so good. My daughter got strawberry slush and it's very delicious as well. The store is inside the new shopping center along with cute Korean shops. The parking garage is several stories high, so you don't have to worry about parking issues. Maybe next time we will plan to eat here and grab drink from ding tea. read more
First time here and so glad we came. We are from out of town but we love boba and so we had to get our fix so since we couldn't go to our usual boba place, we tried ding tea! They definitely did not disappoint. Fast service even when they had a lot of customers! Love the decor as well! Will definitely stop by again before we leave! read more
DING DING DING, YES! I absolutely love Ding tea. Not only has Ding tea been around forever but it's hard to stay away. I always visit the Pomona location so it was nice to see their shiny new location in Buena Park. The location itself is located in this great area with so many different food and dessert options. The décor was beautifully done and pretty much the best photo opt. I always say that I will try something different but sadly I'm a creature of habit and order the matcha milk tea. I think Ding tea has an amazing matcha, it has that strong matcha flavor mixed with creamy nondairy milk that goes perfectly with one another. I also got to try a sip of the aloe kiwi and omg, was it amazing! The flavors were perfect together and it was refreshing on that hot day. Ding tea offers a lot of options and will always have something to satisfy your cravings. read more
My buddies or boba connoisseurs gave thumbs up on their bubble teas. Friendly staff, located in the first floor of The Source mall, you'll usually find a line and the orders are prepared really fast. Seats available outside the store or you can walk to the stairway and hang out. Will return to try a variety. No punch card or any yelp check in deals. read more

I could take it or leave it. That's how I always felt about milk tea and boba. I thought it was okay but never really thought about it and never went out of my way to get some. But then I visited Ding Tea and had their Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea with Golden Boba. Wow. That's pretty much all I ever order. I like the toffee-ish taste of that particular milk tea and the slight sweetness of the boba. This location is located inside The Source. It's quite small but has some comfortable, plush seating. The staff are warm and welcoming, the service fast and efficient. The flavors of the milk teas served here might not be for everyone but Ding has become a guilty pleasure for me. read more
