I was craving for some ice cream and decided to stop by here. I've been here before but only for the noodle bowls but have not tried their dessert. Service was quick and there wasn't a lot of people inside. Lots of tables too! I tried their strawberry ice cream which came with some strawberry fruit pieces and two pocky sticks. It was definitely sweet for me and kind of tasted like frozen yogurt. I would definitely try the other desserts and drinks.
One of my family's faves here at The Source (oh my, I hope you have time to explore this amazing shopping center complete with a cinema plex!). Had the bulgogi rice bowl and it hit the spot;). Didn't finish the rice, which was covered with bulgogi (marinated beef), seaweed, and a seasoned mayo drizzle. Tasty food and refreshing beverages. Ample seating. It can get a little congested by the register as they also sell collectibles. Tip: customer favorites are highlighted with a thumbs up badge!
The drinks here are so refreshing. I really enjoyed the ade's that we got: especially the jeju orange and yuzu one The chestnut one was very decent. I am looking forward to trying more drinks and their food and ice cream in the future. Their branding, marketing, and seating layout is very cute
A lot of people have recommended to me that they like the Rose Carbonara Udon here. We came on a Monday night and it was so busy. There was only one worker and they were backed up on orders. I feel like they need to schedule at least 2 people a shift or have a self serve kiosk to order. I've seen a lot of reviews saying that they don't have the best customer service, but I don't blame them when they're stressed with orders. The environment is so overwhelming with music that's blasting so loud. The food itself was pretty good and solid. I was very surprised by the carbonara, it was a more savory version of alfredo. The rose was a good mix of spicy and creamy. ig: @cravingswithcat
I've gone here several times and here are the things that keep me coming back: 1) rose pasta. It's flavorful, creamy, has the right consistency and the right toppings. It's something I'll gladly come back for over and over again. 2) kimchi fried rice. What more can I say about it? It's exactly as you'd expect kimchi fried rice to taste! It's yummy, has the perfect level of spice and flavors all jam packed into one bowl. 3) matcha soft serve. It's like soft serve ice cream with a matcha filling. Highly recommend mixing it in before you dig in. 4) strawberry soft serve. Same as above! Mix it in before eating. If there's one thing I'm surprised at, it's the cookies and cream soft serve. They mark it as a best seller... but I'm just not convinced. It doesn't taste anything like you'd expect from a cookies and cream ice cream. I've gotten it a couple of times thinking maybe I'll give it another chance and maybe it was just made differently the last time I went. But nope. It was unfortunately disappointing each time I've had it. The flavor was just not there.... Back to the review of the place. The service is good, the workers are good at answering any questions and are also fairly quick when it comes to making the food. The ambiance is unique in that it's set open like a garage door so you will see the main shopping mall plaza. People can easily see you while you're eating so if you get uncomfortable by that then it's probably best that you take it to go. Overall, the food is good and so is the soft serve. I will gladly come back, especially for the rose pasta, which I highly, highly recommend!
Haven't tried their drinks yet but LOVED their rose sauce noodles. So creamy and good, will be back for this!
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was a bit busy due to an event happening right outside the store. The service at the beginning was not the greatest but it wasn't super bad either. However, I ordered the shrimp carbonara with kimchi and it took a good while to come out. I went to go check on the order...and they gave it to another customer on accident. They claimed that the customer didn't touch it and wanted to give it to me but I asked if they could just make me a new one instead, but they ran out of the sauce and that was their last one. I ended up just switching it out to their rose pasta, which was pretty good. They ended up giving me a refund, which was nice of them to do. Wish I could've tried the shrimp carbonara but I'll be back next time! Ambiance of the place is super colorful with little trinkets being sold as well.
Second time coming here. Thought I'd give it another try.... I don't remember if the first time we came, the soft serve was like tonight but it's not creamy at all. It's like a milky popsicle but in soft serve form. Not a fan. Thai tea soft serve didn't taste like Thai tea and my affogato had watered down syrup or coffee in it with coffee grinds. My son ordered the earl grey soft serve, he didn't say anything but he's not really picky. Idk... I'm sorry but this place just isn't it.
This place is more known for their desserts and drinks but I saw that they had a rose noodle dish and I love rose tteokbokki so I came here for that! A friend and I came around 12:30 pm on a Sunday (of Memorial Day Weekend) and there were a few people seated and one person in front of us in line. We ordered pretty quickly and sat down at a table while we waited for our order. I believe it was either $14 or $14.50 for the dish. It didn't take long for us to get our food and it was piping hot and stayed hot pretty much the entire time we ate it. There were udon noodles, yam noodles, little sausages, and bacon in a rich and creamy sauce topped with parmesan cheese. It was just as good as I hoped it'd be and would definitely come back to The Source just to get it again!
Great ice cream! Very low wait time when its get to the later evenings. I went at 8:00PM, and there was no wait. Our orders came out very quick. They're all very good, but it does have a very frozen yogurt kind of taste from my opinion. They're all pretty similar in taste from what my party determined.
Ok I love overflo. I know it's probably glorified cup noodle with some extra toppings but it's just so so good. That, paired with the outdoor seating really hits the spot. Whenever I'm at the source and I can't decide what to eat, it's always overflo LOL
I found out about Overflo through social media and coming here is a must each time I come to the source. The star of the show are the rosé noodles and the ades. Rosé noodles are so creamy, delicious and worth a try! So far, I've had 4 of their ades and each one was refreshing and the perfect drink! There are lots of tables to sit down and eat and it's usually not crazy busy. To order, there is a bell you can ring for assistance and your order usually comes out pretty quickly.
1. The drinks were refreshing with good flavors! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes since it's in an outdoor mall! 3. The staff were friendly and timely with our drinks! 4. There are only indoor seatings! 5. Free Parking Garage is nearby! Note: The spot is located on the first floor! Photo: Peach Ade and Yuzu Ade
After dinner, my daughter introduced me Overflo . This is trendy eatery inside the Source OC offering grab-and-go waffles, and ice cream. We ordered matcha ice cream, I was expecting a full matcha soft ice cream, not a matcha topping on a white ice cream. For the price, it should be a real full matcha but maybe it's the way is it for this place . The cup is kind of small, but great for sharing if you're not up for eating the whole thing after dinner . Great service, the girl at the counter was helpful and sweet. Located in the source OC, a korean mall with a lots of parking! read more

Hi Vivian,…
Decent beverages and treats spot located at the Source (outdoor mall) in Buena Park. The hubby, stepdaughter and I were walking around the ground level and opted for this spot for smoothies. Plenty of tables and chairs for seating and partaking in either beverages, savory noodles, sweet treats, or soft serve. The stepdaughter and I both chose pistachio smoothies which were very tasty and satisfying on a warm SoCal day. Hubby chose a peach flavored smoothie that he also thought was tasty. Their happy face logo on the cups is cute. Service at the counter was OK not memorable. They were pretty busy on a Saturday late afternoon so I remember wiping off the table we sat in with some of my own sanitizer and napkins. We seldom go to the Source but if we visit this area again, we would try Overflo's soft serve. 3.5 stars rounded down. read more

Hi Lilah, thank you for visiting us at The Source and for sharing…
I've visited numerous times to try different dessert items (really like their earl grey sundae) but this time we wanted to change it up and try the drinks. I got the strawberry lemonade (which had popping boba) and my friend got the hallabong mandarin highball (non alcoholic). At 50% sweetness, they were just right, but I remember feeling a bit odd with the service because the cashier was just sitting there chatting with someone without acknowledging us for a bit. I'm not saying she cant chat, I'm just saying the way she then asked if we were ready was a bit off putting. Overflo has decent desserts and drinks and a comfy sitting area (that isn't always clean). We'll be back cause it's convenient, but it would be great if these minor things could be addressed.... read more

I want to gate keep this so bad, but it's too good not to share!! I come here specifically for one item....THE ROSE BOWL! 'Rose Bowl': I like to think of this like an Asian rose pasta dish! Comes with udon noodles and glass noodles, which are so chewy and bouncy, and bacon, sausage, all smothered in a delicious, creamy and spicy sauce! I basically get this whenever I go to The Souce, and it hits everytime!! There is a bit of a wait sometimes for the food since they don't have much staff, but I don't mind because I'm always satisfied with how the food comes out. Usually people come here for dessert/soft serve, but definitely check out their bowls! read more

You definitely get your money's worth if you order food; the portions are generous and the drinks are delicious. The staff are friendly enough. Seating is kind of limited because the space is small, and depending on the weather, I feel like it could be too hot or cold; one of the walls rolls up so insulation isn't the best. Overall, not a bad place to try out, but not the first place I'd recommend to someone at this mall. read more
Hmmm... 2 words to describe their drinks... Extremely sweet! Holy cow, I asked for less sweet and it was so overly sweet I couldn't even sip it until I got home to put more coffee in my latte. The Matcha was pretty flavorful but the matcha was kind of chunky and not fully blended properly. And again, super sweet. For over $7 a drink, probably a lot better options elsewhere. The interior of shop honestly look a bit boring and cheaply designed. read more

Came to Overflo on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait. The food came out pretty quickly! We got the rose udon and it was yummy! I shared it with a friend which was a good idea. It's a soft serve ice cream, with topping of pocky I believe and it's just refreshing for summer, price wise it's pricey but the place is cozy and it didn't taste like fast food soft serve ice cream, the milk flavor is more enhance! Creamiest from some that I have tried before. Their smoothie is good! I seriously love it and it still is good after few hours! I'm surprised for it. Service is 4 star, I told them that I need to feed my kids their food which I bought from outside and they said it's ok! So yes I appreciate the kindness! read more

Hey Amelia, thank you for visiting Overflo! I am glad you had a great…
the soft serve was unacceptably bad. icy, gross flavor - not even trying to be soft serve. 7 dollars wasted. i'm mega bummed. it went straight to the trash after one bite. and like the other yelper said, it just has a vibe that the place is not that clean. the lighting in the establishment is also oppressive. the only thing redeeming was the two pepero/pocky sticks - we did eat those read more

I decided to try this place after walking around The Source for a few hours. The server was nice and the restaurant was clean. There was a bit of a wait for the food a which was a little bit of a downside. I got the rose bowl with udon and glass noodle which was 13.50 + tax. Given the location I can understand the pricing. The food itself was great! The sauce was creamy and the portion size was enough to fill me up. I would come back to try the other bowls. read more

Sadly not a fan. We were in a hurry to grab something to eat so we chose this place without even looking at their reviews first. I have high expectations when it comes to Korean food, especially at a big mall in Buena Park with a bunch of Korean stores and restaurants. You would think the food would be great. I ordered a bulgogi bowl and it was below average - tasteless and the meat was dry. This place offers other bowls like Kim chee and spam bowls, but I was not a fan of what I ordered. They also have a variety of specialty flavored drinks... perhaps that's their draw. read more

Overflo. has expanded their menu to include savory Korean street food and I'm all here for it! I got the ever popular Rose which features udon noodles, glass noodles, bacon, and sausages covered in a creamy, spicy rose sauce. This was a tad spicer than I expected (have that iced beverage on hand!), but it was still manageable. Super addicting and delicious! I also tried out their Kimchi Fried Rice which was super solid! A classic Korean favorite. I can't speak on their drinks or desserts, but I would definitely recommend their savory bowls and bites! read more

I've been here many times and the food never disappoints! The service is fast. Staff are quit friendly. After I mixed it the taste just wasn't for me. It was too grainy... read more

Hi Ale, thank you for your honest feedback and for being a loyal…
Located on the first floor of The Source and I loved how the store opens into the courtyard to create a really bright vibe. Service was quick and we didn't have to wait long for the food on a Saturday afternoon. My friends and I shared the Rose Tteokbokki ($13) and the soft serve affogato ($7). They ran out of rice cakes so we had udon instead but it was still really delicious! I especially liked the glass noddles in it. I also liked how it was creamy and not too spicy and how they had a decent amount of smoky sausage and bacon in it. The affogato was also yummy and felt pretty light. My favorite part is where the soft serve gets icy when it hits the cold brew. read more

Their location is so easy to spot. Service was quick but could use a little more friendliness. The soft serves looked cute in photos, unfortunately, they were extremely lacking in flavor. It's like eating watered down ice cream if that makes sense. If they can focus on improving their food items, I think this place can be promising. read more

I'm not going to lie. I'm not sure how this store is still in business besides the fact that they have generous store hours relative to the other shops at this location. Their soft serve "ice cream" is around $6-$7. I got the fresh strawberry for $7 and my friend got the $6 chocolate. This is an open floor concept with ample seating on a Tuesday evening. We ordered upfront and got our items shortly after. The product looks amazing at a glance but with the first taste, I realized this is not ice cream. I couldn't quite figure out what it was. It's not really your typical soft serve either. It doesn't remind me of soft serve at McDonald. It's closer to yogurt from yogurt land but even then, I couldn't put my finger to what it was. It reminds me of the soft serve "ice cream" you get at HomeTown buffet which is actually soft serve yogurt. It has this grainy texture to it. The taste wasn't bad but I would not buy this for $7 relative to what you can get elsewhere, granted nothing else was open at the time. Overall, good for the store hours and ample seating and quick service, but way overpriced. read more
Simple spot serving soft serve, shakes, soda & savory specialities So I can't speak about their desserts and dishes, but I can comfortably say that you should not order the coffee here under any circumstance. Theirs is super watery with no espresso flavor whatsoever. It was hard detecting all the nuances, and I thought it was because of the piping hot temperature at first. But after letting it cool after and taking a few sips at a time, it was still lacking bitterness and creaminess. I don't like wasting drinks, but this one went straight into the nearest trash can after taking a photo. Avoid avoid avoid You will find Overflo on the ground level of The Source OC, an outdoor shopping mall. Right in front of the main plaza where events are hosted. There's a decent amount of chairs and tables here. The atmosphere is a mix of orange tiles, white walls, and gray floors. Not a color combination I would choose personally, but I'm not an interior designer. Parking in the structure is plentiful and free, but the closest spots are always taken during the busy hours. I'm usually in the area and I'm open to ordering their soft serve instead next time. read more

I've been wanting to try Overflo. for awhile. The first time I came here I wanted to try something and they were out of it. I recently came in after dinner. I got their Thai Tea Soft Ice Cream. Yuck! The "soft" ice cream part was not creamy at all. The entire thing was so super sweet and way too sweet for my liking. The thai tea part was good but there was too much of it. It was honestly disappointing. I did like that they gave you a large portion for the $6.50 they charge you for one. But since I didn't like it I couldn't finish it. It probably took about 10 minutes for them to make my ice cream. But I didn't like that they didn't call me or anything to say it was ready. She just put it on the counter and walked away. Like I was suppose to know that was mine. Probably won't be back. read more
