Stopped by Better Buzz on a Saturday afternoon for a little coffee treat. We ordered a Honey Latte and a Snickerdoodle Latte. It was our first time, and the staff was super helpful, great customer service! They took the time to explain a bunch of drink options to us, which we really appreciated. The coffee itself had decent flavor--nothing mind-blowing, but solid. I especially liked the Honey Latte and might order it again. The Snickerdoodle was okay, but I'd probably try something different next time. The space was clean, organized, and had a really comfy, relaxing vibe. It seems like a safe, welcoming spot to hang out, eat, or study for a bit. Prices were a bit on the higher side for just two coffees, but nothing outrageous--pretty standard for specialty lattes at chain coffee shops. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try their matcha and explore more of the menu. Good first impression! read more

I'm not much of a coffee person but I came here to try out their pastries. My first time here I tried treat black tea lavender latte which was pretty good if you're into lavender along with a cream cheese croissant which was AMAZING. Service is very fast and the workers are very nice. I also tried their ham and cheese croissant and thought it was okay. I can't wait to try their other pastries again when I'm in the area, a bit pricey but worth for the size you get. read more

Checked out the hype at this coffee shop! We tried the Banana Pudding Best Drink Ever and the Hazelnut Divinity. The BP BDE is perfect if you like a lighter coffee flavor that isn't overly sweet, while the Hazelnut Divinity is a total dream for anyone with a sweet tooth! We couldn't resist the pastry case--the pistachio croissant and Kouign-Amann were both 10/10. Definitely worth the buzz! Service was great although expect a longer wait when it's rush hour. I met a friend here today. It was my first time in. I had the Chili Crunch Breakfast Wrap. I had them leave out the ham and aioli. It's a little expensive for the size of the wrap especially since I had it w/o ham. I wasn't in the mood for coffee so I had a blueberry lavender tea. It was okay. Finally tried out Better Buzz, and honestly, I'm a bit confused about the buzz about this spot. I tried their Best Drink Ever, which just tastes like generic, chain coffee that was diluted and not flavorful at all. This location is very nice, with no lines and very fast, friendly service and baristas + plenty of seating (perfect for studying) and free parking, but unfortunately, the mediocre quality of the coffee will not have me returning. read more

It was very crowded when I went which maybe put my expectations a little high. I've been on the search for a coconut coffee similar to one I had in Hawaii. The coconut best drink ever is an americano with coconut powder topped with coconut foam. This was just way too sweet, I got a stomach ache. Another great company from my beautiful hometown: Whales Vagine! Really love the concept and marketing slogans. The coffee is really good as well. I've had the vanilla bean latte, best drink ever and just like regular dark roast coffee w/ a splash of half n half baby. My go to is for sure the best drink ever. better buzz coffee has been on my list for awhile, their closest location is the costa mesa one.. they have multiple locations, more so based in SD expanding north :) i hear good things about the coffee, so i took a detour and made a stop at better buzz! on a saturday AM, expect a line the line was to the door, but everyone working did their best to move the line! bright and clean store, everyone was really helpful, great vibes i ordered: hazelnut divinity snickerdoodle latte vanilla bean latte pastries: everything cream cheese croissant pistachio croissant all delicious!! def favored the snickerdoodle latte! will be back to try out the best drink ever they are offering their pumpkin drinks! they have an app and i think they have app exclusive drinks? parking: no issues, plenty of parking! read more

I truly love this place and I'm so happy they made this one near me. I've gone 10+ times to this specific locations and I've never had any issues. If I'm honest I've never actually gone inside as my fiancé does that for us but it looks cute, tons of natural lighting with seating inside and outside which is always nice. If the line is long we'll mobile order and it's ready within a few minutes but on the weekends, give them some grace. I've gone on the weekend and my drink wasn't ready when it said it would be and we just waited. We didn't complain or huff and puff, it is what it is. They're human and they're busy, they'll get you your coffee when they're able to. In my opinion, it's worth the wait but to each their own. Check this place out and form your own opinion! read more

After stirring it up, the drink did get more balanced, but also leaned towards the sweet end. We also got two pastries: spinach, bacon and cheese croissant and a guava mascarpone bun. Both were tasty, but the croissant was perfectly crispy/flaky and good flavors from all the ingredients. Overall, a cute shop with ample seating and friendly service. Easy parking as well in the plaza's shared lot.

It was a great escape from the heat. Free wifi - fast enough for a zoom call if you need to hop into one - my speedtest reported download speeds of 17.5MB/s Restroom is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! Will probably be my go-to considering there's ample workspace, plenty of parking, less crowded than other coffee spots in the immediate area. I'm curious to try their matcha the next time I'm here, as well as possibly their breakfast burritos, since photos for that looks delicious.

I also had the Snickerdoodle coffee, but it was way too sweet for my taste (though you can ask them to adjust the sweetness). One area that could use improvement is the layout or service flow. They have a menu at the entrance, but I was asked to order while still in line, and I couldn't see the menu anymore, which caught me off guard. I ended up ordering the only items I could remember. It would be helpful if they had printed menus that customers could hold while waiting in line, especially when it's busy. The Americano coffee I ordered was subpar, and there were no napkins available at the counter where you get sugars and other condiments. The staff member I interacted with was neither knowledgeable nor particularly friendly. When I asked for napkins, they didn't seem to have any around. Additionally, I noticed there was no honey available, which was surprising given that the shop's theme revolves around honeycomb and bees. They didn't communicate anything to me, didn't explain why, and just handed me a lukewarm drink like it was no big deal. I recently visited Better Buzz with two of my girlfriends, unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff seemed indifferent. The guy who took my friend's order was super rude and when she started ordering, he interrupted her and sarcastically said, "Uh can I get a name first". The coffee was alright. I've had better made coffee at other Better Buzz locations in Carlsbad and San Diego. I ordered their special flavor, which was a blueberry and lemon combo called Pi Day and it was amazing! The lemon (?) cold foam really sold it for me. The coffee part was great, I could definitely drink their coffee black. And the flavors were enough to make it fun and flavorful, but without making it too sweet or making me feel like I need to brush my teeth after drinking it. The baristas were all very friendly and attentive, welcoming people in and thanking them on their way out.

Would love it if you overtook bux…read more I guess I should be thankful that Starbucks replaced their chai concentrate with the worst tasting Bland chai on the planet because had they not changed their recipe, I might not have tried the Black Dot chai's. I can't tell you how much I love both of them, the vanilla and the maple walnut. If there were more stores around, I would absolutely get a membership (if they have one) and go everyday. They have gained a loyal customer in me. My friend who is from Vietnam said their Vietnamese coffee is closest to what you would get in Vietnam and highly recommends it. I want to also mention how fantastic the service is at the fountain valley location. Everybody is super sweet and very welcoming.

So I was a bit annoyed that our order was forgotten or wasn't prioritized. Is it because I didn't tip for a quick Americano I'm quite confused on what happened? I then decided to talk to the woman at the counter and she apologized for the wait. Our drink came by quickly and the young man came by to our table to give us our drink to apologize. The young man who took our order should really track orders accordingly.

Overall, I enjoyed both items, but I've definitely had better lox bagels that really impressed me. Same goes for the coffee. It was tasty, but it didn't knock it out of the park for me. That said, I'm glad I finally stopped in, and if you're driving by and see the line, it's worth checking out at least once!

I'm more of a classic coffee guy and usually don't like drinks that are overly sweet, but this was fantastic. Just the right amount of sweetness with great coffee flavor underneath. I liked it so much that there was really no reason to go anywhere else the rest of the trip. My family loved this place too. The service was excellent, and they absolutely nail the branding, marketing, and overall style, a 10 out of 10. I also really enjoyed the patio seating out back, which made it an even better place to hang out and enjoy your coffee. Great coffee, great vibe, great service. I already know where I'm getting my coffee the next time I'm in Newport Beach. Can't wait to go back!

The workers are really nice and helpful, especially if you're making your own smoothie, which I opted to do! A bit on the pricier end, but the ingredients are pretty good in my opinion. For my smoothie, I decided to make it myself, and there's so many options to choose from, whether it's the milk base, protein, add-ons, you name it! I think this was a really nice option to have, since I liked some drinks but not some of the ingredients used, so customizing my own smoothie was a great option to have.
