The owner even came out to explain how to drink it, and how him and his team had worked hard to bring this to fruition. It sounds weird, but it tastes phenomenal. A good sweet-umami flavor profile on par with salted caramel. Truly fascinating. A mind trip that the top smells exactly like how you would imagine. Pro tip? Don't drink in your car with the windows up. You will smell it. Although its not a bad thing if you love fish sauce. Located inside AGM so parking is hit or miss. Go left when you enter or you'll end up walking a full circle to find it. I also got their sugar cane drink and it was also great. 10/10, no notes. I am a big fan, and intend to visit more often!
I'll admit, I was a little suspicious when I saw Koo had a 5.0-star rating because... there's no such thing as a perfect store. Needless to say, I may have to agree with everyone else. Salted Cream Matcha -- 5/5 Probably my favorite drink here. The salted cream complemented the matcha perfectly without overpowering it. It also wasn't overly sweet, so I could actually taste the matcha itself and appreciate the quality rather than just tasting milk and sugar. Pandan Coffee -- 5/5 SO good. Honestly comparable to Airoma, who is literally the king of pandan everything in my book, so that is a very high compliment. The pandan flavor came through really well without being too artificial or overpowering. Fish Sauce Foam -- 3/5 This one was definitely questionable. I love innovative drinks, so of course I had to try it. You can absolutely smell the fish sauce, which was mildly alarming, but the actual taste was surprisingly more salty-caramel than fishy. Definitely not as horrible as I expected and very cool to try once, but probably not something I would order again. Overall, I came in skeptical of the perfect rating and left understanding the hype. Their drinks are creative, but more importantly, the basics are actually executed really well. Love that there's an amazing coffee shop to try at my childhood mall!
Customer Service was awesome! She gave me a sample of their fishy flavor which was the fish sauce with caramel on top of their foam. Both the whipped cream (just like starbucks whipped cream texture) and caramel infused with some fish sauce tasted like a salted caramel with whipped cream. I really enjoyed the matcha. It was made really well. It was not watery. Definitely a good balance. I would come back again for this. Just imagine getting a salted caramel matcha but just with the fish sauce smell on top. Line moved quickly too. I forgot but they are part of the Five Stars Rewards Program, so you get points for every visit. I do not know much details on it but that makes me happy to know the more I go, I could get something for being a loyal customer. I know its a limited time item for Fishy Coffee or Fishy Matcha, so I would be getting this drink for the next 10 weeks every Saturday before or after my kids Mommy & Me Vietnamese class. $7 is worth it bc no modifications to sweetness needed. It was perfect and owners are fantastic and you can see how much they love their community by engaging and asking how we love their drinks.
This place is located inside Asian Garden Mall on the first floor. The vibe itself is aesthetically pleasing and really makes you take a second look. Service was quick. When I walked up, there was no one in line. They give you a beeper device so you know when your drinks are ready and also allows you to get food from other vendors while you wait. I got the banana matcha and the pandan matcha. The banana matcha was so beautiful and even at 50% sweetness, you get a good subtle banana flavor. The pandan matcha was flavorful and tasty! It's really good quality drinks. I highly recommend it!
I arrived at Koo Coffee Tea a few minutes past 9 am on a Sunday. They were already open but still finishing up setup, and the staff was friendly. I also received my drink pretty quickly. I ordered the Coco Foam Matcha. The coconut foam was really tasty, and the matcha itself was smooth with no graininess, which I really liked. My only note is that the matcha was already fairly sweet on its own, so paired with the cream, the drink ended up a little too sweet for my preference, but others could definitely feel differently. They didn't ask about sweetness adjustments, but if that's an option, I'd definitely lower it next time. Koo Coffee Tea is located inside Asian Garden Mall, so parking is available at the mall or nearby. The area can get pretty busy, so I'd recommend visiting at a quieter time if you want to avoid the crowds. Overall, I enjoyed the drink and would come back, especially if I can adjust the sweetness next time.
Tried their famous fishy matcha & it was not as bad as the name was. You can barely taste the fish sauce only when you take a sip you can smell it, but if you can handle the smell you will be fine. The matcha was creamy and sweet with some caramel flavors.

Alright, this is one of those coffee houses that I would give a 5.5 stars. Taste, price, and experience was great! It's located on the first floor inside Asian garden mall, which is a very nostalgic mall for many people who grew up in the area or who visit the Bolsa area. I stopped by today to look for a good size hello kitty plush and found it. Then I left and was looking for a place to read and do personal planning but my phone ran out of batteries, so I decided to go back in and get a drink at Koo Coffee and stay a few hours at the tables. This specific unit has changed many managers/owners before but it has mostly been a boba/coffee place. After looking at their menu I decided to get their pandan coffee and added the coconut foam on top. The foam was $1 more and the total of the drink was $6.50 for the regular size which I think is very reasonable. I know when coffee is good when I drink it all. 99% of the time I get coffee and only drink less than half because I only need a little bit of it to get energy and to enjoy the taste. My drink from Koo was delicious and beautiful and I indeed finished it. I could taste every single distinctive flavor: pandan, coffee, and the coco foam. It is very well made with perfect sweetness level and their ice level was good, too. One of the owners, Dan, came over for a chat after I told him I enjoyed my drink. We had a good chat about his business and I met the owner, Diem, the talent behind the recipes! I wish them good luck on their business endeavors and thank you for the hospitality. I will be open to trying other drinks whenever I'm at this mall or this area. One suggestion I would give: they do have a brown sugar milk drink. Although I like brown sugar, I don't like it with just milk. I would recommend providing the option to get their brown sugar with milk tea. If their milk tea is good, I think brown sugar and foam on the top will be a splendid drink that is yummy and picture worthy!
Grabbed a cold Vietnamese coffee. Strong, but really good. Located in. The mall alongside other food court type restaurants. Service is fast.
We were here enjoying the night market on the weekend. The food court inside the shopping area was still opened. I couldn't help myself when I saw pandan matcha, two flavors I like together. It was a good drink, but not spectacular. Servers were quick and efficient. It was nice to grab a drink and relax indoors.
Lovely cafe inside the garden mall with food coffee and drinks! They share seating with all rest of the food court and the parking to get here is always notoriously terrible haha. Staff were able to answer my questions about the drinks and were nice. Drinks will take a bit but worth the wait! The large fruit drinks will come in a ridiculously tall cup it's hilarious! The Vietnamese coffee is great but the pandan one was soo delicious. Would also recommend the dragon fruit refresher!!
Tao runs a cute coffee shop in the heart of the Asian Garden Mall. My boyfriend and I tried the Nuoc Mam Coffee. It was yummy! Definitely had the nuoc mam aroma in the caramel but once mixed, it tasted like a salt coffee. Highly recommend! Drinks were ready fast and lots of traffic. Service was excellent.
The definition of a hidden gem! They really have the best matcha I've ever had and I was informed that their matcha is imported from Japan! I went after a day in Disneyland since it's not too far and I'm so glad I did :) I got the ube coffee, matcha brûlée, and banana matcha and they were all amazing. My favorite was the ube coffee as the Vietnamese coffee and the ube cold foam was the perfect mix! It's inside the Asian garden mall and parking may be tricky in the weekends but I say it's definitely worth it. It's located on their food court so it's easy to find once you're inside. I'm already planning my next visit to Koo!

Our group finally got to try the viral Fishy Coffee and it didn't disappoint! I really enjoyed the perfectly creamy caramel foam over the coffee. You wouldn't expect there to be any fish sauce in this drink bc you can't taste it, but you can catch a subtle sniff of it in the cream without it being off-putting at all. The owner was so nice to check on our group despite the busy crowd and to ask for our feedback and thoughts on the Fishy Coffee. Highly recommend you check out Koo Coffee Tea and their Fishy Coffee. Will definitely come back to try their other drinks as well. read more

I don't frequent to this mall as often as I should considering there's many great places to eat at and a handful of boba joints but I had to check out Koo Coffee Tea as it seems to be a bit more inviting plus they have a great variety selection of everything so you'll end up finding yourself deciding between 2 drinks! Not to mention all their matcha is ceremonial grade imported from Japan so you know you're getting the good stuff! DRINKS Banana Matcha with Boba I only had a sample as this wasn't my drink but that sip alone left an imprint so I definitely have to try out one of their matcha drinks next time! Have to say though, boba isn't the best. It's better than most places for sure though! Marble Coffee Can't complain about this beverage! It was to my liking and kept me going throughout the day. Although I'd have to order 2 next time lol. Overall Yeah. You can count on me coming back. There's a good selection of drinks made with quality ingredients. I like the fact that the matcha they use is the ceremonial grade so you can guarantee you'll be awake. Fun fact: matcha is naturally caffeinated and won't leave you feeling sluggish afterwards! Great customer service, very helpful and informative. It's located in the mall so noise level will fluctuate if you're ok with that and there's plenty of seating! Koo Coffee Tea is new to the Asian Garden Mall food court and it deserves all the love! They use ceremonial grade matcha from Japan and they make many ingredients in house such as the Pandan Milk! Everything is delicious but not too sweet. You really can tell how much love and effort they put into their drinks. The owner is so sweet and friendly. There are choices for everyone from tea to refresher to smoothies! It's not everyday you see a place that makes this variety of drinks at great quality and customize it to your desire. This new Boba shop is located inside the Asian Garden Mall. I got myself Original Sugarcane drink in 32 oz size. That is the largest size they had for this drink. It was super fresh and refreshing drink. Service was quick and ambiance is nice. read more
The drink I got was the sugarcane Matcha drink. I like the long tall cup that they offer. However, I will ding this one star because the drink was quite too sweet. I think they added additional sugar to their sugarcane drink, so it tasted a bit more on the side of artificial than natural sugarcane. The service was fine, they were quick to provide my drink after I ordered. I love the ambience because it is in the Phuc Loc Tho mall, aka the Asian Garden Mall, which is where I grew up. There is so many delicious Vietnamese restaurants, and dishes inside the mall! read more

Loved this spot! We tried the Banana Pudding Matcha, Pandan Coffee, and Avocado Smoothie, and all three were delicious. The Banana Pudding Matcha was my favorite. It was smooth, earthy, and the Biscoff crumble on top made it extra yummy. The Avocado Smoothie was super creamy and not too sweet, and the Pandan Coffee had a rich, unique flavor. The staff was friendly, and it's a great place to stop while visiting Asia Garden Market. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks! read more

I went to asian garden mall for the summer night market and stumbled upon this new drink place. I got the pandan matcha while my mom got the sugarcane + kumquat drink. The pandan matcha was really good. They use Japanese ceremonial tea and housemade pandan. The drink was a little too sweet for my taste but after the owner asked for feedback and I gave him my honest thoughts, he offered to remake it for me. I declined because the drink itself was still really good and after the ice melts, it should balance out the sweetness. To note, he mentioned that you can request the staff to reduce the sugar level next time. As for the sugarcane + kumquat drink. They used fresh sugarcane and the flavor was very prominent in a good way. However, it was also on the sweet side, which i think is common for most sugarcane drinks when you first start drinking it. However, the melted ice should again balance out the sweetness. Overall, the service and drinks were really good and I am glad that they are taking in feedbacks to better their drinks. I would definitely come back to try other drinks whenever I am in the area! read more
Stopped in to try some drinks the other day. They are located inside the Asian Garden Mall so parking can be tough at times. They are right in the center of the mall and have lots of seating available. I got three different drinks. First up was the wintermelon grass jelly. Wintermelon is a fairly new drink for me and my current favorite. It is so nutty and refreshing. Next, I got a sugarcane drink. This is their tallest drink and I love sugarcane drinks. So sweet and delicious. Last but not least, a matcha brulee tornado. It is well balanced, sweet and very refreshing. If you are looking for a place to stop and get coffee or tea deinks in the Asian Garden Mall then look no further! read more
What a gem of a café! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine kindness and exceptional customer service. The owners were incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do, and it truly shows in every detail. Their matcha is hands down one of the best I've ever had. I loved learning that they traveled extensively, tasting matcha from different regions to bring back only the finest varieties for their customers. You can absolutely taste the difference! Beyond the amazing matcha, they offer a wonderful selection of coffees, teas, and refreshing mineral-based drinks, so there's something for everyone. One of the sweetest touches was how thoughtful they were with my little one--they even gave her a ball to play with, which made our visit extra special. Parking for the mall can be a bit busy, but hey, can't hurt to shop at the mall right? The vibe here is super chill, so if you're wanting to sit back and relax, it's a good spot to do so! What I ordered: Pink Dragon Lychee Soda - Refreshing, also get the Lychee Jelly in it! Gamechanger! Strawberry Tornado - it's like a blended frozen yogurt and perfect for a hot day! I love the Tang from the bit of sea salt foam they blend in! Pandan Coffee - earthy and just the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Matcha Einspanner - the matcha is nice, it's not harsh like some other matchas I've had, so it's very smooth! Service was super friendly! They were so helpful with recommendations and ensuring that the drinks were good and if they needed improvements! Solid coffee/matcha spot in Westminster, CA! This coffee stand is located inside the Asian Garden Mall Food Court Area. My friend and I shared the following drinks: -Pandan Matcha: My favorite drink of the 3 I had. The pandan flavor was good (which I love) and it married well with the matcha flavor. Neither flavor canceled each other out which I liked. -Banana Matcha: Good banana and matcha flavor which also married well together. I liked the creaminess of the banana pudding top. -Salted Coffee: Creamy and salty top with a strong coffee base. Great if you're looking for something strong and creamy. The service here was great and the baristas were nice. There's also seating and tables in front of the coffee stand to enjoy your drinks at. For parking there's lots of free parking around the mall. The portion sizes here are huge at good prices. Definitely a spot worth trying next time you visit the Asian Garden Mall or if you're in Westminster! read more

Parking: Reminded me of a Costco parking lot with how busy it was but I was actually able to find a free spot relatively quickly. Easy to find the counter from the front entrance or just need to walk straight from the back parking lot in the Asian Garden Mall (Phước Lộc Thọ). Several tables for seating and plenty of menus for viewing. One cash register but line moved quickly. Salted matcha: GREAT matcha flavor and the salt cream top is such a good balance - really enjoyed this unique option and happy they were able to change from oat milk to whole milk. Double matcha: Despite plenty of competition, Koo Coffee & Tea's double matcha lived up to the quality standard, delivering a strong matcha flavor without being overly creamy nor bitter - I would come back for this one as well. The portion was perfect as well. Mango tea: Really refreshing with real fruit used and paired very well with a honey boba topping. We wanted to like this place so bad because the prices are really good for such a large drink. We ordered the banana matcha, matcha einspanner, and pandan matcha. All the drinks had little to no matcha taste which was super disappointing. They mostly just tasted like sweet banana/pandan milk. The banana flavor was also on the artificial side, which would usually be okay, but since there was no flavor to balance it out, it was just too strong. My friend and I loved this place so much that we visited twice in the same day, both times ordering the 32 oz sugar cane & calamansi drink. Fresh pressed sugar cane and calamansi juice, 32 ounces of it, for only $8 each. Such a great value and it tasted so fresh and was very refreshing! This place located in Asian Garden Mall. I'm was skeptical to try because I had try food in this mall before years ago. It was not that good. So I didn't have any expectation, but I want to try it out since this place has good reviews. And thank goodness that I did.
