Used to come here regularly when I worked close by, but never got to writing a review- so here it is! I'm not sure if it's still on the menu, but I loved their coconut coffee! I think their coffee in general is decent and pretty strong (if you get the Vietnamese coffee variants). Their matcha is also pretty good too! It's a bit on the pricier side and portions can be a lot smaller depending on which matcha drink you get, but I think it's pretty solid. As for their milk teas, I think it sometimes comes off as a bit.... watery? The tea flavor isn't quite there. If you get a fruit tea or regular tea, however, the tea flavor is good. There are moments though, where they can come off a bit watery/lackluster as well. The shop is small, but it's nice and clean. There's a decent amount of seating for the size of the shop. Workers are always very friendly!
This is a month old review. It has been on my list to try this place as I heard good things about their matcha. The place feel cozy and modern with simple plant decor and enough seating for casual conversation. The drink was delicious so why 4 stars? They are a little small compare to the price and their milk tea is a little lacking in tea flavor. Overall, I would come back for the matcha drink
I haven't been to many coffee/matcha spots in Garden Grove, but am so glad to have found this place. It's definitely the best I've had in the area, and I'm so glad it's not too far from me. Mirakuru is in the plaza off Harbor with plenty of parking nearby. They have a bunch of indoor seating as well. The whole shop is very bright and modern. The staff was friendly and took the time to give recommendations and also accommodated any adjustments too. I really appreciated that everything was made fresh, including hand-whisking the matcha. I tried the Matcha Einspanner and the Strawberry Milk Coffee and both were delicious. You could taste how fresh all the ingredients were (from the cream to strawberry puree) in both drinks. The matcha was also really fresh and nutty, and the coffee worked great with the strawberry. I absolutely plan to come back here more often, and definitely recommend checking it out!
The matcha here really woke me up in the best way possible! Mirakuru is a great choice for a morning pick-me-up. I came here on a Sunday morning around opening time. The store itself is located in a plaza with ample parking, and the cafe has plenty of seating for your studying/work-from-home needs. It has a bright and cute Japanese-inspired interior that makes it feel very welcoming. My friend recommended coming here since they offer three different levels of matcha to choose from. (They do cost different amounts depending on which one you choose.) The drinks also come with a default matcha variant, but you can customize it. The service was quick, and we got our drinks in no time. The menu had your classic combinations with mango, kiraku, and more, but what interested me the most was their sweet corn matcha. Surprisingly, I really liked it! The corn was not too overpowering and was lightly sweetened by its natural sugars. I paired this drink with their most premium matcha, and even though matcha usually does not wake me up as much as coffee does, this was a great contender. My partner got a mango matcha, and when I tried it, I thought it was a bit too sweet, but for him, it was perfect. Overall, pretty good! A great choice if you're in Garden Grove and need a matcha kick.
If you're looking for a matcha-centric cafe, definitely check out Mirakuru! They use ceremonial grade matcha in their drinks and have a good variety to choose from! I like that they offer both simpler matcha drinks, as well as unique ones like Sweet Corn Matcha Latte and Matcha Jasmine Latte. Of course you can't go wrong with their Mirakuru Signature Matcha, but I'm a big fan of the Matcha Jasmine Latte! The flavors pair so well together creating the perfect blend. They also have a good Matcha Einspanner that you can get with different types of foam like sweet, sea salt, ube, banana, and cookies and cream cheese foam. They also have other non-matcha drinks like coffee, fruit teas, pure teas, and milk drinks or what they call "Handcrafted Miracles." We tried their Green Thai Pandan Coco Milk which had a nice pandan flavor. I enjoy the clean, simple aesthetic of the cafe. There are a decent amount of tables to sit and enjoy your drink. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot.

It has a sweet, umami-rich flavor, plus a fresh, nutty aroma and a beautiful vibrant green color. Easily one of the tastiest matchas I've had. I love how their menu emphasizes first/spring harvest matcha, so you know you're getting the best quality cultivar! My go-to order is the Sweet Corn Matcha Latte (even better with Saemidori if available.) It's not too sweet and well balanced. I do wish the cup size was a bit bigger, but it also feels like they're really focusing on quality over quantity here. Small detail I loved: they included a cute little guide on how to make the perfect matcha when I bought a tin of Saemidori matcha powder. It's those thoughtful touches that stick! The space itself is just as good as the drinks - bright, airy, fragrant, and filled with greenery. There's plenty of seating and a calm vibe that's great for relaxing or getting some work done. I absolutely love this Matcha spot. I was kindly greeted and helped immediately. The authenticity was there and quality of the matcha was undoubtedly unmatched. Being able to choose from 3 different types and tiers of matcha straight from Japan was prime. Plus it being hand whisked with tons of love just upped this spot a few more notches. The ambiance of this place is very lively, lovely and refreshing. I must say this is one of my favorite matcha spots now, share share share.

All the drinks looked and sounded super appetizing from the menu. I asked for a suggestion between a few items and the strawberry matcha was recommended because it's so popular. It took maybe 5 minutes to be prepared and the presentation was beautiful. The fresh strawberry purre was really yummy and the matcha seemed quality and had great color. Thoroughly enjoyed.
New favorite boba shop and study area!! I'm surprised I haven't seen this place before! It's located in the plaza of Daiso, behind the Great Wolf Lodge. Lots of parking spaces but it's small, so drive safely. Upon walking in, you hear the jingle of the bell hanging near the door. You see plans towards your right and a pleasant citrus smell engulfs the whole shop. It's minimalistic, pure white, and clean. They have an array of teas for you to smell before your purchase. They also have homemade coconut jellies to go with your drink. Their menu is big and placed next to the cash register. The two girls working were a huge help to us and were able to let us know what teas pair well with certain drink styles. Dependent on your drink and tea pairing, the teas are brewed hot and right in front of you with a machine. We decided to try their Korean strawberry milk with banana top and their kirimi tea. I also ordered their mango coconut jelly to try. To our surprise, the drinks came out quickly. You can taste the fresh tea in every sit. The boba was perfectly sweet and not too overpowering to the drink itself. The strawberry milk tasted exactly like what you'd expect, but even better. The coconut jelly had pure mango on it. They even had cute cup sleeves! There are numerous tables and outlets if you decide to do work here. They offer a WiFi code per drink, good for four hours of work for only one device. If you want to stay there and access the WiFi longer or use multiple devices, you'd have to purchase another beverage. It was quiet the whole time we were working there and the place had a steady flow of customers. We felt at ease and comfortable. We got a lot of work done today and were extremely satisfied with the quality of the shop. Can't wait to be back!
Drinks were great! Service may need a little more help. We had the mango coco milk and Kurimi Jasmine Oolong tea. Both were great! Just a heads up that their teas are def strong, so if you have a sweet tooth you may need more sugar in there. Personally I like the taste of jasmine and oolong so this drink was great! The mango coco milk was also a hit amongst our group. One small thing that made the review go from five to four: the service at the register could be improved. The workers kind of ignored the other half of our group when they were waiting at the register. I'd recommend at least acknowledging and saying "be there in a bit" or "sorry for the wait" but instead it was just awkward staring. As for the ambiance, seems like a great place to hang out and chat--don't believe it's a study spot so just beware! But parking and seating was very easy. Overall, would come again for the drinks!

No cap, Mirakuru is actually fire. The drinks hit every time, the flavors are super clean, not crazy sweet, and everything tastes fresh. The vibes are cute, the staff are chill, and the presentation is low-key Instagram worthy. Definitely gonna be a regular. If you're debating whether to try it... just do it. This place feels like a trendy little tea shop in the midst of an average looking plaza. The interiors is bright with plenty of neutral colored walls, counters, floors, and tables. The shop is set up counter style with the door with a straight path past the counter into the restrooms. The have wifi which is voucher based and good for four hours. Whilst I was there they were having a promo buy one get one on their harumi matcha latte. I indulged, purchasing a strawberry and mango under the offer. The matcha is slightly bitter and slightly sweet. The cream(?) liquid they use helps with the silkiness of the beverage which is generally smooth in the first place (likely sifting any chunks of matcha). The fruit base isn't overpowering and helps compliment the sweetness with a hit of fruit flavor rather than obscuring it (out of the two, I prefer strawberry). All in all, a delicious fruit matcha latte and bodes well for their milk tea drinks which I was originally there for. Hope to come by again sometime! read more

Excellent matcha. Free 4 hour wifi. Outlets available. There were mostly 2p tables, but we were able to snag up one of the 4p tables. It was relatively quiet when we first arrived, but later it in the day it got more rowdy with some children came in. read more

Location is convenient with plenty of parking, the service was quick, and the staff were friendly. There are a few tables inside and the decor is clean and modern. For the price I thought the drink was good with good tea flavor. The honey boba was as really chewy and sweet. Definitely give this place a try. read more

Really good drink selection with fragrant teas and memorable drinks. I love the fuji apple oolong and the jasmine matcha. The service is quick and they have cute cup sleeves and tags for their signature matcha drinks. The only thing I don't like is that if a drink isn't sweet enough, they give you a small paper cup of simple syrup that you have to add yourself and it can get very messy. I guess that makes sense for the drinks that have sealed lids, but they do it even with the removable lids, so you have to be pretty solid on your sweetness selection. They even did this when they got my order wrong :( but other than that a great place to get a little post-meal sweet drink! read more
Dropped by Mira Kuru on the way up from Mission Viejo and craving some caffeine and a pick-me-up. Maybe our group ordered drinks that didn't quite hit the spot. We ordered the Green Thai Pandan, Brown Sugar Oat Milk, Mira Kuru Milk Tea, and Silk Coconut Jelly. The Green Thai Pandan came with complimentary tea jelly, which tasted great. However, the Mira Kuru Milk Tea boba pearls tasted as if they have been steeped in the tea for too long. The Brown Sugar Oat Milk leaned too sweet for me and the tea flavors tasted off. We did not get to try any fruit teas so I would like to come back and get their fruit teas to see if my opinion has changed. The Silky Coconut Jelly was the star of the show. Once you mix the ingredients, the flavors come together in a pleasant way. The proportions also come on a gift size, perfect for sharing! The ambience of this place is perfect for studying, catching up with friends, and just vibing. The tables against the wall fit about three people and there is a table for four people close to the door if you have a bigger party. Staff encouraged us to try out the teas by the counter and they have their top 10 items displayed on the wall as well if you don't know what to get for the first visit. I would come back for the aesthetic design of the drinks and the cups are sturdy so I will give them that. If in the area, I will go back eventually to try their fruit drinks but this experience is not enough for me to seek them out on their own. read more
Came back to this boba spot in Garden Grove and it's still one of the best tea places around! It's definitely one of my favorite go-to spots. The quality hasn't changed at all, drinks are consistently delicious and refreshing. The service is always excellent, and the owner is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. One thing I really love is how amazing the place smells. It has this light jasmine floral scent that makes it feel so cozy and relaxing. Definitely a go to spot whenever I'm craving boba! read more

The matcha quality is really good and I would definitely be back for their other drinks. A simple matcha-centric cafe that may not be as trendy as some of the others in OC, but their drinks are worth it. The smell of freshly brewed tea is the first thing you notice upon walking in, so you know they're serious about their tea. They also use ceremonial grade matcha that's so thick and creamy, it makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong at home. This was actually the third place I went on a Saturday morning trying to get my matcha fix (couldn't find parking in downtown Anaheim, or the line was too long) but I'm so glad I found it! read more

When you go in, you can smell the Jasmine and it's quite fragrant. A bit too overwhelming for me, but for my friend and boyfriend, they liked the smell. The drink making process was quite quick. The person that helped us order was very patient and guided us through the drinks. I really love the Korea strawberry milk and the Vietnamese coffee was pretty good. The coffee is very bold but not my favorite Vietnamese coffee out there. But I would definitely come back for the strawberry milk! My boyfriend also said that the Matcha was really good. I would love to come back and try other things as well! read more

Super cute cafe! I wish they sell some pastries too. Staff are nice, service was quick. Drinks are served in cute cups. I don't normally drink overly sweet matcha so i asked for less sweet on mine and it was perfect. Quality is excellent. I tried the one with ube, i can't tell if i tasted it though. My husband ordered coffee, tad sweet for him but enjoyed it nonetheless. read more

Ive been here a couple times now, and the drinks are great every time. My boyfriend loves the strawberry milk here. Every time I try a different drink and its pretty good. Ive tried their matcha drink and kurimi tea - both were great. The matcha isn't grainy and the teas are good quality a d have a lot of flavor. I even came here with my sister when they were having a bogo deal for valentines day. They also have a punch card that gives a free drink / $6.50 credit for matcha drinks. read more

I'm so bummed that this place isn't closer to the SGV! I've heard good things about Mirakuru on social media and finally had the chance to give it a try after we were in the nearby area for a competition. Luckily they're open fairly late and in a super large shopping center - parking is not an issue at all. Stores around it seem a little more old and out of place but Mirakuru is modern and well lit. Good amount of seats inside if you want to study or chat with friends. I ordered the Saigon milky coffee with sea salt cream $6 + $1.50 as well as a jasmine oolong tea with jasmine tea jelly and sea salt foam $5.75 + $1 + $0.75. These add ons do get pricey but - they were worth the price. Both drinks were a hit. The coffee was smooth and rich, and even though we drank it the next day, it still retained the flavor nicely; as for the tea, incredibly smooth and pure tasting. Loved the tea jelly and the salted cream. Would definitely order these two drinks again. Another friend ordered the Korean strawberry milk and mango coco milk and both really enjoyed their drinks as well. Will be back to try the matcha drinks! Workers were quick and fast to get the order out. read more

Pretty good drinks and staff were friendly. My dad isn't too informed on matcha or tea but they were patient enough to explain the differences and helped him smell the fragrance for what he might like! Would recommend trying it out and getting a card to stamp for a free drink after 8 stamps/drinks! read more

It's always a good sign when you walk into a tea house and can smell the tea brewing and Mirakuru is no exception. I ordered the White Peach Oolong Milk tea where you can really taste the White Peach flavor infused with the fresh Oolong tea very well. I also ordered the Green Thai Pandan Coco Milk which was ok, not overly sweet which I appreciated. As I waited for my drinks, you can see them make the matcha for their drinks right in front of you which adds more to how fresh each drink is made to order. Service was really great and the drinks came out quickly. The store itself has a nice clean cafe vibe. Plenty of tables inside to sit and study or read a book. If you're in the area, this place is worth a try. read more
The Korean Strawberry Milk is sooo good here, and the other drinks are good as well like the sunrise fruit tea. Service is good as they let you smell these tubes with the ingredients and very helpful in popularity of items on the menu. The place has a tea smell too it, was caught off guard but it's different because it smells fresh in a sense, place is cute and mid size. read more
This is just based on the iced Vietnamese drip coffee. I thought it was very good. I got the Saigon milky option that is less strong and more creamy, which I prefer because I find traditional Vietnamese coffee to be too strong for me. Mmm.. this place was just ok. Cute interior and a nice vibe for studying or just chilling. I ordered the sweet corn matcha with extra sweet corn foam and my friend also ordered a matcha latte. The two drinks came out to be a little over $18. A bit expensive for two drinks that were in a regular size cup. For that price, I was expecting to be wow-ed but my drink fell short of expectations. It didn't really have much of a sweet corn flavor. Just mid in my opinion. Not terrible but also not sure this is somewhere I would be drawn to come back to. read more
Visited Mirakuru since I was in the area and was craving for some drinks after my dinner. I ordered the Mirakuru Moonlight and the Strawberry Black Tea. The Mirakuru Moonlight came with complimentary tea jelly, which was a nice touch. It was refreshing overall, though even at 50% sweetness it leaned a bit too sweet for me, and the tea flavor didn't come through as much as I hoped. I was able to taste some of the fruits at least. I may need to reduce the sweetness more if I get this drink again. The Strawberry Black Tea was decent--nothing bad, but I've definitely had better and more natural tasting versions at other boba spots. That said, I've been to a lot of boba shops, and I'd still place Mirakuru slightly above average. The interior is bright, clean, and modern, making it a pleasant place to hang out. The staff was friendly and helpful when I asked about menu items. Parking was easy when I visited at night, which is always a plus. Overall, Mirakuru is a solid choice if you're already in the area. I'd stop by again, but probably wouldn't go out of my way just for their drinks. read more

I was looking for a spot open somewhat late since my friend and I needed a place to study and found this place! I've been here a few times, trying a different drink every time. I would recommend their teas because they have such a variety that isn't at most boba spots! Since it was late that day, we didn't want caffeine so we got the korean strawberry milk drinks with ube and banana. It was very creamy and delicious, but was definitely on the sweeter side, so my friend and I had to let the ice dilute it a bit. It's a pretty nice space to study with tables and outlets. The only issue we had was their rule that 1 drink = 1 wifi code for only one device, and it would only be good for 3 hours. The worker taking my order didn't seem too strict about it since both my friend and I had multiple devices, but I'm not sure if it's always that lenient. Other than that, service was fast and the place was bustling with people coming in and out! read more

Ambiance: 8/10 It smelled sooooooo good in there. Super aesthetic and cute. Really clean. Music was a good volume and it was very mellow. Not a lot of seating and it was kinda cold so bring a sweater. Restroom was clean. TDLR: Would 100% recommend the corn matcha for corn lovers. On the pricier side. Plenty of parking. Lighting and music was nice. Drink came out pretty fast. Decent place to study, but you can't hole up for a super long time. Delicious tea spot! My wife says it's now one of the best tea places she's been to. They have a great selection of drinks, including lots of unique options. I tried the Mirakuru Moonlight (25% sweetness), which was super refreshing and even came with jelly. My wife had the Korean Strawberry Milk with jelly and corn foam--it was amazing. Both tasted very fresh, and the 25% sweetness was just perfect. Highly recommend this place! We'll definitely be back next time we're in Garden Grove looking for a great drink. read more
