First time trying this place, and I'm not impressed. The decor with the cat curtains is cute, but the space felt a bit cold with its hostile architecture. There were no tables or any comfortable spaces to sit. It seemed like a defensive design where they don't want anyone to linger too long. There was only a small concrete 90-degree ledge for seating, and it was so cramped with the number of people in the store that it felt awkward to even try to sit on it. Aside from that, I ordered a Dragon Well Tea with soy cream foam and osmanthus jelly, and it took a long time to make. When I finally received it, I realized they had made it wrong. The cashier just said, "Oops," then "fixed" it by pouring out half of the tea and adding the cream. I mentioned that it seemed like a lot of cream for a tea drink, and she said that's how it came. The drink looked nothing like the teas in the pictures or on the menu. I also noticed everyone else's drinks had less cream foam, and I didn't customize mine or ask for extra at all. Overall, I'm a bit disappointed with how my first experience here went.
I really like the decor of this location because of all the cat imagery. However, I wish that they have more seating where people can sit and hang with friends. I ordered at the kiosk. I ordered avocado mango, barley, and rice frost. I preferred the barley taste more at the Tustin location. It was my first time trying the rice frost and avocado mango. The rice frost was very interesting, but I enjoyed cause it was unique. Service was friendly. I had to ask for a bag though because they didn't ask me, but I noticed they asked other people. I also noticed that they realized they gave an order to the wrong person, but they did not correct it. Because of that situation, another family did not get their order and had to ask the person to make their order.

My second time here, because the first time was so good I had to come back for another one I had the rice frost, it has a very unique taste that non of the other boba shop has it I bought the other signature drinks for my friends and they all love it Service is friendly and nice
Very happy that there is now a 3Cat closer to me. Orders are primarily placed through 2 kiosks, and there is usually a small wait during peak times. Drinks do come out pretty quickly. The interior is clean and modern, unfortunately not much interior seating to hang out with friends. There is a standing rest and some seats to wait for your drinks. The drinks are especially good, loved that they use real fruit, but a little on the pricey side.
I've gone to their LA location and was excited to see one here. There was a line with two kiosks, but it did go quick. Since it was late, I wanted to try their pink coconut glow or their water chestnut boba, but both were out. I ended going with the Watermelon Crunch with water chestnut popping boba. I don't love popping boba, but was intrigued with the water chestnut and it did take some getting used to. The watermelon slush was still sweet so I'm not sure I'd get it again. The Oreo mocha was fine - mochi was hard to distinguish. I would come back to try the water chestnut boba version and other drinks, but don't think I'm in a rush to do so.

Mochi oreo smoothie - I added Boba but it was a bit underdone. Mochi mango - probably the best out of the four. It's mango forward and not too sweet.
During a BOGO weekend, my friends and I waited around 30 minutes in line before ordering at self-service kiosks, which was not too bad. All their drinks sounded delicious and unique since they had interesting combos of toppings that went along with the drink. I tried their Cheese Berry smoothie, which was made with a delicious berry puree, Biscoff crumbs, and cheesecake cream. The Biscoff crumbs added to the texture of teh sweet and complemented the berry puree well.
Avomango: 9/10 (also has pomelo & crystal boba!! It's VERY similar to yang zhi gan lu) Mango mochi: 9/10 Such great quality of drinks. I prefer this place to other cafes because they don't only have matcha/coffee. Very unique menu and I like that it's smaller. The ordering system is pretty fast (kiosks or at the counter if you have coupons) and then there's a screen with all the order numbers. Very organized. Staff is super nice and speedy, and the interior of the place is very cute. Very modern and trendy. ALSO they give out these cute bags if you're taking out, I love the designs!

Their current seasonal drinks are the a watermelon series. What's nice is they open until 12 am while most of other boba places already closed. I got the Jasmine milk tea with Barley popping boba. The drink was good! The Jasmine tea is strong (similar to Molly tea or hey tea style). The barley pooping boba was interesting. It does pop when you bite into it but then it gets chewy after afterwards!
Usually Boba spots have semi generic drinks that can be found anywhere. This isn't to say it's bad but moreso that they want to play it safe. But 3cat definitely takes chances to make things that are unique. I had 2 drinks: Mochi Mango and Grape pear. The mochi mango was absolutely delicious. It does lend itself to be on the sweeter side, but if you love mangos, this will surely hit the spot. The mochi complements the mango perfectly. The grape pear was a surprising hit for me. As it's super flavorful. The grape and pear combo is one that I never knew I needed. It was quite refreshing and balanced the sweetness of the mango mochi. Since its opening, I think I had the their drinks 3 times. It definitely sets itself apart from other boba spots.
We came here on the Sunday of the grand opening and waited about 20 minutes to order drinks. They had their bogo deal so we left with 4 drinks. We got all 4 of their signatures. All drinks were amazing. The rice frost was refreshing. The mango mochi was super sweet and is a must try for mango lovers. The mochi barley burst hits the spot as always with the chewy barley inside. The avomango is creamy. I was even hearing praises of people nearby talking about their drinks. The drinks only took about 15-20 minutes to come out considering the fact that the staff were slammed with orders the whole time. It is quite a small place with a seating area and a screen to see your order status so it's more of a grab and go rather than a sit down spot. Overall, im so glad another 3cat opened up and ill be visiting whenever im in the area!
This review is few weeks old. We was there on their opening weekend, which has b1g1 offered so obviously the line is long. The place is also small with no place of seating so anticipate long line. However, the workers are trying their best to stay positive and friendly. They deserve 4 stars. We got the mango mochi and oreo mochi. It was an interesting taste. It taste like yogurt drink more than milk tea drink. I like that they use fresh mango. The mochi taste like a blob of cooked starch, not impressed. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way for it, but would try other drink if I'm in the area.

I'm so happy 3CAT is finally in Westminster! The drinks were amazing and the staff were so kind. There were lots of fun promotions and activities going on when I went. The store was beautifully designed and I loved the little animations they had on screen. Huge props to the marketing team with the grand opening and everything that led up to it. Can't wait to come back and try more drinks! read more

So happy the Westminster location is finally opened!! The interior is so clean and modern, and I love the cute yet subtle cat decor. I always go for the mochi barley burst or the cheese berry, but the seasonal sunlit mango glow is a new favorite!! They had a few promotions going on during the grand opening that were so fun! Definitely recommend checking out this location!! read more

Avomango Sweet Dew - delicious, creamy and fruity. Contains dairy! This is a blended drink. Mochi Mango - fruity and chewy. Contains dairy! Also a blended drink. Mochi Barley Burst - floral milky tea flavor. This is an iced drink. Overall, I'm giving it like a 3.5/5 Been here yesterday and from start to finish, it took 44 min to get my drinks lol. Back here today and literally no wait. They still only had 1 self service kiosk open while the other one is dead. Also no oat milk for both days. How tragic. Personally I think the menu needs to provide better information such as which drinks contain dairy and if we're able to substitute it. For example, the 3Cat Signature drinks doesn't tell me what is exactly in it unless I go online to the website and click the online order for Tustin to get the drinks description (because Westminster doesn't have one up yet). The store is small with maybe like 5-8 spots to sit on their seating area. read more
The line was pretty long when we arrived, but thankfully our drinks came out surprisingly fast. The shop itself is quite spacious, with a few seating areas if you want to hang out and enjoy your drink. We ordered the mango mochi drink and the Oreo mochi drink. The Oreo flavor was a bit faint and didn't stand out as much as I expected. However, the mango mochi drink was definitely the star of the visit. The mango was fresh, sweet, and perfectly ripe, and the drink had a great balance of flavors without being overly sweet. I would definitely come back for the mango mochi drink alone, it's the perfect refreshing drink for a hot summer day! read more
My first time visiting 3 Cat, and overall I had a great experience. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and very welcoming. I ordered the Coco Matcha with Mochi Rice and Oolong Jelly with 100% sugar and 50% ice. The drink was made very quickly, and I didn't have to wait long at all. Surprisingly, it wasn't overly sweet or overwhelming, and the flavors were very well balanced. The shop was clean and had a simple, minimalist atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. The prices are comparable to other boba shops in the area. There is also plenty of parking, making it easy and convenient to visit. I would definitely come back to try more drinks if I lived closer to the shop and would love to try more items on the menu. read more
Tried 3CAT Westminster on their grand opening day and was pleasantly surprised! There was quite a line (at least 20 people ahead of us), but it moved at a reasonable pace. The BOGO promotion was a nice bonus. The shop has a cute aesthetic with lots of cat-themed decor, and the staff was professional and efficient throughout. Seating is pretty limited, so it's not really a place to sit and chat or study for long periods. My husband and I ended up getting 4 drinks total (2 each because of the BOGO lol). **Mango Mochi - 10/10** Fresh mango with that authentic Asian mango flavor. Not overly sweet, very refreshing, and the mochi had a great chewy texture. **Avomango Sweet Dew - 10/10** Such a great combination of flavors. Everything tasted fresh, and all the components worked really well together. **Rice Frost - 7.5/10** Probably the most unique drink I've ever had from a boba shop. It has a strong fermented rice flavor, and the water chestnut popping boba adds a nice texture. It reminded me of makgeolli. The rating is only lower because of my personal preference--this could easily be someone's favorite drink. **Mochi Barley Burst - 8.5/10** Nice floral tea flavor. It was slightly sweeter than I prefer, so I might order it with less sugar next time. The barley popping adds an interesting creamy texture that makes the drink stand out. Overall, I was happy with every drink we tried and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the area. One thing I really appreciated is that the drinks actually matched their descriptions, which isn't always the case at boba shops. Also, I honestly don't agree with the low ratings on yelp and I'd encourage people to look past the early 1-star reviews and give them a try for themselves. read more
9/10 Mochi Oreo - This was definitely my favorite of the two drinks! It's a smoothie blend with mochi, and honestly, the mochi topping is the star of the show. I'm obsessed with the texture. 8/10 Jade Matcha - That drink was nothing special. It's a typical, mediocre drink that I definitely won't be getting again. 6/10 Boba - wowow so so disappointed in this. I feel like my rating is actually being nice. The second I got my drinks, I drank it, and it was dense in the middle. Within a span of 10 min it was inedible with how dense it was SUCH a disappointment on OPENING DAY!! You would think it would've been fresher!! My assumption is that they knew it was going to be super busy so they pre made a lot of boba and it just sat there, and when boba sits out it gets hard in the middle over time. Cost - They had a BOGO deal so I got one of the drinks free. If it were not for deal it would've been: $9.02 each. That's hella over priced for bad quality boba!!! read more

Super long wait at this location. First visit yesterday and I had to wait for 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. And an additional 15 for my turn to order and receive the drink. If I would have known it took that long, I would not have joined the line. There were over a dozen staff members making teas in their kitchen but only one, yes one, taking orders and running the cash register! Drinks are good though. Especially the Mochi Mango and Avomango Sweet Dew. Their most popular and best selling. Mochi Mango has some fresh mango pulp and a good amount of mochi. All employees are very kind and respectful. I'll wait until the hype of the Grand Opening dies down and will absolutely return for the Mochi Mango. read more

I feel bad about all the bad reviews because I didn't experience any of those issues. Staff was super kind and helpful, interior is super cute and clean. Obviously it's a soft opening. If there's a line stretching 3 stores down there's gonna be a wait. If you can't wait- nobody's forcing you to be there. read more

Busy even on a weekday morning! You enter and order on a kiosk and there's some seats for waiting in. The drink I got was a milk tea with rice mochi. It tasted exactly like rice pudding but drinkable lol it didn't taste like it had any tea in it even tho I chose the bold roast. The customer service when my drink was ready was really friendly from the girl working, she offered me this cute complimentary bag to put my drinks in. read more
i was super happy to know that 3cat came to garden grove since it's so close to me now, so i had to try it out ! i'm glad i waited for the initial hype to die down bc it was only about a 10 minute wait in total from lining up to getting my drink, but i did come on a monday around 9 pm so that could be why also haha i got the mochi mango drink with less sugar, and this was the perfect sweetness for me. the mango puree was really yummy mixed into the milk smoothie and didn't taste artificial. i also think the whipped cream was nice and light. my favorite part of the drink was definitely the mochi !! it was really stretchy and chewy, and i liked having it as a different texture for my drink. i am pretty satisfied with my drink from this location so far, and i would love to come back and try their other drinks soon! read more

I came here during their grand opening week! There was a hugee line but the staff made it go by quickly and efficiently. Staff is also very kind! There was an incident that happened with a bug flying in but the staff remained calm and professional to take the bug out! I do have to say that the drinks weren't as consistent as the 3CAT in 626 area but still great overall that they have a spot open in OC! I hope that they start adding the full menu at this location. read more

After coming here a few times, I've noticed an issue. They don't always call your number when your drink is ready, even when it's been sitting on the counter. Instead, they wait and group it with other customers' orders before calling everyone together. For example, if I order just one drink, I end up waiting while they finish two or three other orders that might include five or more drinks. Why create an unnecessary delay when my order is already ready? Service is already slow, so holding completed drinks instead of calling customers right away just makes the wait even longer. It's confusing and inefficient. read more

3 stars for 3cat! Honestly was very excited to try this place out after I heard it was opening so close to my house. I feel like these kind of boba stores that focus on sago drinks or Jasmine tea are so popular right now. Unfortunately I feel like 3cat doesnt compare to other popular spots right now. There was a line but it moved fast and all the employees were very sweet! The drinks taste like standard milk teas you can find at other stores plus popping boba and mochi that is too thick for the straw. I fear these drinks aren't something I'd reach for again but I'm glad people are enjoying it and lining up. read more

I was happy to see a 3CAT that's closer to me than the Tustin location. However, I was disappointed that my brown sugar boba was kind of hard (not fully cooked) and clumped together. I also requested my tea to be strong, and it tasted more milky than strong tea. I really hope that they will improve as perhaps they were working the kinks out since they recently opened? On the plus side, it's great that they have the board with all the orders' numbers that are ready for pickup and those that they are working on. The girl was very nice and friendly when I picked up my order. In addition, the kiosks to order make it easy and efficient but I did have problems with one of the kiosks because their tap machine wasn't working where I had to take my physical card to put the chip in. I understand the minimal aesthetics they were going for the store but with minimal seatings, it's obvious that it's better for you as a to-go boba shop. read more

TLDR; cute little drink shop with unique drinks and toppings. Lots of caffeinated and non-caffeinated drink options - my favorite new drinks are the mochi mango and mochi barley burst + Driving in and parking in this plaza is atrocious, so be careful!! Cute little drink shop in the heart of Westminster area. Love, love, love all the cat themed decor! The store itself is small and doesn't have any indoor tables, so it's not really a place to sit for hours to study or hang out. However, there is a seating area off to the side where you can wait for your drinks to be prepared. Parking is difficult here. The drivers in this plaza are wild! Definitely drive defensively and be on the lookout when coming in/out of this plaza! The drinks are definitely unique and worth a try -- especially their signature drinks and unique toppings and add-ons! I like how there is a good variety of both caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks that all feel unique and specially crafted -- not just your typical basic boba tea shop drinks. My favorite new discoveries from here so far are: - soybean foam (love, love, love! First time having it here, I might actually like this more than cheese foam now!) - barley popping boba (never had this anywhere else before. It's squishy, soft, and chewy, with just a hint of nuttiness -- pleasantly surprised and will be adding to my future drink orders instead of regular tapioca boba) - water chestnut boba (also never had this anywhere else before -- a squishy popping boba outer layer, with a nice crunch from the water chestnut inside - osmanthus oolong tea jelly - pear jelly Signature drinks: Avomango Sweet Dew - blended avocado sitting atop a smooth and creamy mousse, on top of delicious mango. Maybe it was an off day or something. The mango in my drink was going bad or something because it tasted kind of sour and acidic...maybe it was sitting out for too long? Idk. It could be a good drink, esp. since it's the stores best seller, but it's not my favorite. Ricefrost - I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into when ordering this drink, but boy oh boy was I surprised after taking my first sip! I should have read the description more carefully when it said "rice wine blend." Because at least then, I could have anticipated an alcohol-y taste. It's okay though! Cause once you know to anticipate it, the flavor starts to grow on you. Kind of reminds me of rum raisin ice cream in a drink form. Mochi Mango - love this! Perfect blend of mango layered with mochi and a cream top...yum!!! Everything was very fresh. The mango was sweet, the mochi was soft and chewy. Switching out the regular cream it comes with for soybean mousse is my new favorite way to drink this! Mochi Barely Burst - definitely chewy and unique! I haven't had anything like this in terms of the barley popping boba. The drink itself has a classic jasmine milk tea flavor, the mochi is good, and the bursting barley balls are really the stars of the drink. Unique, chewy, not overpowering, and has me coming back wanting more each time! Other drinks: Cheesy Watermelon - classic watermelon slushie with the option coconut juice or jasmine tea, and topped off with a thick layer of cheese foam or soybean foam. Can't go wrong with this one! Pink Coconut Glow - textures galore! Large chunks of watermelon pieces, soft white cubes of some sort of jelly?, and squishy/crunchy chestnut popping boba all swirling around in a coconut + watermelon blend Yuzu Berry - super unique! A berry puree with diced pear in a yuzu tea! The subtle hint of the tart citrus tea alongside the sweetness of the berry puree and pear bits is so delicious! This is more of a 4.5 than a full 5 star. Came on grand opening for their bogo and really enjoyed the tea. The mango passionfruit wasn't very passion fruit forward and the boba ball wasn't fresh. The best thing was tht their jasmine tea was very very good. I would definitely come back for it with the osmanthus jasmine tea jelly added in. Strong great tea flavors. read more

The girl in charge of calling out the drinks had no sense of urgency. There were several orders ready, including mine, just sitting there.. But she just stood there the entire time, deer in the headlights. There were so many people waiting too. I had to ask her if my order was ready and only then did hand me my drinks. Also their boba is so tough.. maybe it was bad batch this afternoon. read more
