Came here to to try out their coconut pudding bc of the BOGO promotion going on this weekend! The coconut pudding itself was pretty good- creamy and smooth. It wasn't too sweet as well. If there wasn't a BOGO deal though, I'm not sure if I like it enough to pay $8 for one cup. Although my order came out quickly (granted I was the only person ordering at the time), the service was rather dismissive. The girl who took my order seemed so... done(?) I had asked her a few questions and, for some reason, she didnt know how to respond or just seemed so unwilling to answer. I asked her if the BOGO deal was still going on (she answered yes), and then proceeded to ask her if she could recommend getting the avocado coco pudding or the mango coco pudding. With this question she just stared at me and seemed annoyed? flustered? unsure? So with that, I just asked if I could get one avocado and and one mango for the BOGO to which she replied with a "Yes, they're BOGO." ‍ Then she walked away to make the items while I was paying, and I stood there waiting for my receipt. Others started walking in and lining up behind me while I was waiting to ask for my receipt. I heard the staff member utter something like "standing there/staring" and I wasnt quite sure if she was talking about me or the owner(?) who was apparently on the side talking to others. Once I got my order and receipt, I said "Thank you" and she just walked away. The owner(?) began taking the orders of the customers who came in after me. When I'm in Westminster, a Vietnamese cafe is always a must for me! The space was so beautiful and modern. We got 2 coffees and 2 matcha's to try out - the egg coffee & sea salt foam coffee, and the pandan matcha and ube matcha. All drinks were so yummy!! I loved how customizable everything was - for the Vietnamese coffees, we were asked if we wanted it strong, medium or light (the amount of milk is adjusted,) and for the matchas you could adjust sweetness. I came here for their bogo Pandan matcha wasn't expecting much and as expected the drinks were really whatever, wouldn't say it was horrible but it was weird like I didn't taste Pandan but more mung bean? The cream top was fluffy with a strong blueberry flavor and the matcha, while a bit grassy, was pretty strong and not too sweet considering I didn't adjust anything from the original recipe and the cream top and blueberry puree already added to the overall sweetness of the drink. I have seen this place pop up on my IG all the time and last week, there was a promotion of B1G1 free of their banana pudding matcha so I have to give it a try. The matcha taste decent, however, the banana flavor didn't go through. Because they used fresh banana so the matcha kind of overpowered it. We also order a matcha eispanner and it is pretty good. We came tonight for the avocado coconut pudding dessert that we saw on YouTube. We expected the crowd to be as crazy as they said on YouTube and Yelp but it wasn't too bad. We were lucky to find a parking spot right away in front of the store. Now onto the dessert. The avocado coconut pudding dessert was very good but there was very little of it in a big cup. Mostly milk and/or coconut milk liquid mixed with plenty of ice, which was filled to just a bit more than a half of a cup. Dessert and all the stuff inside the cup is 5/5. They even offer ceremonial grade matcha and a wide range of matcha flavors (see picture). Their coffee drink varieties are still there. Drinks are tailored to your preferences, therefore I go in and communicate what I like, for example I will say "less ice about 1/4, oat milk in place of whole and, etc." Communicate how you like your drinks if it is 1/4 ice, 1/8 oat milk, 2 pumps versus 4 of a syrup... you should know your preferences because they can't read your mind and taste is personal. However, this place genuinely has the top notch of all Matcha places you can find. You can study here, I have seen many doing so. I keep missing the deals here until last night and tried their pumpkin matcha latte. I've been to numerous matcha places and this place definitely takes it to an upper level. It's strong and creamy, just the way I like it. The pumpkin foam top was a nice added touch. Price wise if it was by itself, it's a little on the high side.
