From the outside it doesn't seem like the cafe is big but once you're inside, it is actually spacious and has good amount of seatings to study or hang out. I got the Matcha Latte and it was delicious. The matcha is strong which I love because you can actually taste the matcha! The staff were very friendly as well! Tip: check out their instagram, sometimes they have promotion of buy one get one free!
When I'm in Westminster, a Vietnamese cafe is always a must for me! The space was so beautiful and modern. We got 2 coffees and 2 matcha's to try out - the egg coffee & sea salt foam coffee, and the pandan matcha and ube matcha. All drinks were so yummy!! I loved how customizable everything was - for the Vietnamese coffees, we were asked if we wanted it strong, medium or light (the amount of milk is adjusted,) and for the matchas you could adjust sweetness. AKA, you can order your drinks exactly how you enjoy them, no problem! Their menu is extensive with different drinks, desserts, and food options. Will definitely be back!
I actually don't want to write this review, but have to now because it's the right thing to do! If you're looking for how ca phe sua da used to taste in the 80's, order A3, house, special, Vietnamese, white coffee at 25% or 50% sweetness. The service is always attentive. The ambience is great inside. Parking can be a challenge and panhandling is around.
The Female Staff Member up front is ALWAYS nice. Very helpful, attentive, and welcoming. Very spacious, great deals, food amazing. Love coming here!!!
Came back to visit today due to their BOGO Thai Dessert promotion, only good from 6/19 to 6/21. I came around 10:30am and only one person in line. Order for to go was quick and they packed up nicely with ice separately. I love their Thai dessert as not too sweet and very refreshing.
I came here for their bogo Pandan matcha wasn't expecting much and as expected the drinks were really whatever, wouldn't say it was horrible but it was weird like I didn't taste Pandan but more mung bean? And couldn't taste matcha so not the best quality matcha. Service was decent tho and you can sit inside. Horrible parking since it's inside a busy plaza. I asked for no ice for the second drink and somehow the drink was really thick like a pudding paste consistency so I think it was more mung bean than Pandan. Weird to me
Went in for the BOGO blueberry matcha special and was not disappointed!! The cream top was fluffy with a strong blueberry flavor and the matcha, while a bit grassy, was pretty strong and not too sweet considering I didn't adjust anything from the original recipe and the cream top and blueberry puree already added to the overall sweetness of the drink. The blueberry puree on the bottom was also amazing and tasted like real fruit! The portion was huge as well. Good amount of indoor seating and the chairs are pretty comfy. Located in a mini mall with lots of easy parking as well.
Had a blueberry matcha here earlier. It was good. Service was good. They have nice lighting in here for pics. Cute little cafe.
I have seen this place pop up on my IG all the time and last week, there was a promotion of B1G1 free of their banana pudding matcha so I have to give it a try. The matcha taste decent, however, the banana flavor didn't go through. Because they used fresh banana so the matcha kind of overpowered it. We also order a matcha eispanner and it is pretty good. The location is in a busy plaza so parking can be a little challenging. The place has sitting down area and has free Wi-Fi, a good place for study. Overall I would comeback if I'm in the area or they have another promotion.
We came tonight for the avocado coconut pudding dessert that we saw on YouTube. We expected the crowd to be as crazy as they said on YouTube and Yelp but it wasn't too bad. We were lucky to find a parking spot right away in front of the store. Now onto the dessert. The avocado coconut pudding dessert was very good but there was very little of it in a big cup. Mostly milk and/or coconut milk liquid mixed with plenty of ice, which was filled to just a bit more than a half of a cup. Dessert and all the stuff inside the cup is 5/5. Nice treat after our dinner at ZZ Hotpot. Pandan and coffee flavored jello pudding was just okay. Not sure if I wanted to get these again. Will try the matcha next time since La Ka Viet got a lot of compliments on their matcha.
I've been craving Bo Ne and matcha and this is the spot! We tried 2 different types of matcha and coffee! We also got the Bo Ne. It wasn't bad but good enough. The baguette wasn't too dry either
La Ka Viet Coffee Café is a small, clean little spot tucked away in the back of an older two-story plaza -- definitely one of those hidden gems you have to know about to find. There's a dozen inside small tables and some wicker chairs outside. They've got a point-rewards of perks if you join their rewards program, and their menu is packed with unique drinks. They even offer ceremonial grade matcha and a wide range of matcha flavors (see picture). I'm a Ube (purple girl) so we tried the Ube Matcha -- it was so good and you can taste the quality of the matcha. The creamy, thickness of the Ube was perfect! I'm sure I'll be coming back for more. Quick Tip: there's a password for the bathroom, so don't forget to ask when you order -- so you don't have to stand inline again.
They had a bogo deal on their salted matcha einspanner, so I decided to stop by. It's been quite a while since I've been here, and I can definitely say that the staff working was so much more friendly than the last time I visited. They're a lot more welcoming which is great! Wait time was fair. The salted matcha einspanner is also pretty decent. You can definitely taste that the cream is salted, but it pairs pretty well with the matcha. The parking area is always packed with cars trying to find parking, so please do take precaution in that plaza and be vigilant! read more
I went for their BOGO on Thai dessert. I felt that they were kind of skimpy on their ingredients and the ice they gave out weren't the best size to eat this kind of dessert. The tables and floors were slightly dirty and unkept. One of the workers were on/off break and their friend that was visiting was unprofessional and stood on the chair to look over the counter wall barrier to speak to the worker. Overall experience was subpar. read more

Banana pudding matcha does not taste like banana at all it taste like straight milk for $9. Overpriced for the quality of matcha they provide. I've had $5.50 that was way better quality. Asked them to add more banana syrup bc i couldn't taste any and it did nothing. read more

Been here a few times to get some work done. This place gets busy but I have never had trouble finding a table to do work. The seats are comfortable, there are plenty of plugs for charging, and quick wifi. I ordered the pumpkin pie cream over the strong vietnamese coffee. The cream here is soooo delicious, I will be sad when pumpkin season is over. My friend got the matcha einspanner and we both agreed that it was way too sweet. This was my first time trying food here. My friend and I split the special sizzling steak and eggs plate. We got the steak medium rare and it was perfect! The plate was seasoned very well and the baguette was sooooo fresh!! Overall, the prices for the drinks and food are fair, and a great place to study! read more

Really good experience at LaKaViet. I ordered the sizzling Bo ne plate and it came out hot, flavorful, and nicely presented. The steak was cooked medium rare with a good char, the egg was rich, and the sausage and meatball made the plate feel very filling. The sauce/gravy had a nice savory flavor and went well with the fresh baguette. I also got the match einsplanner drink, and it was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. Overall, the food tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and it's a solid spot for Vietnamese-style breakfast/brunch. Would come back again. read more
Their Beef Bowl with Pepper sauce is addicting and delicious! You have to come in and try it!! Cost is $10 take out or $13 eat in (more is given). Tell me if I'm wrong because it's my favorite dish there to eat with my daughter :) Food serving hours are only until 4pm. They reduced their variety of drink options in place of their more popular drinks that are mainly their Ube Matcha, Strawberry Mochi Matcha and Einspanier Matcha. Their coffee drink varieties are still there. Drinks are tailored to your preferences, therefore I go in and communicate what I like, for example I will say "less ice about 1/4, oat milk in place of whole and, etc." Communicate how you like your drinks if it is 1/4 ice, 1/8 oat milk, 2 pumps versus 4 of a syrup... you should know your preferences because they can't read your mind and taste is personal. However, this place genuinely has the top notch of all Matcha places you can find. You can study here, I have seen many doing so. The hours of when you do, you'll learn when it is feasible versus when they are busy. I would recommend studying here on a weekday before dinner 5-7pm. read more
Came by after being tempted by so many of their matcha promos on Instagram. Happy to report that it's not just aesthetic, but the taste delivers. 5/5 stars given the diligent service and tasty drink, and don't have any justification for knocking off a whole star. They were pretty busy since it was a Saturday and they had a BOGO going on, but they were surprisingly able to keep up. Waited about 10 minutes but I think in that time they cracked out at least 12 drinks? Actually insane. I only saw three people working so definitely kudos to them. Female cashier was really friendly while multitasking drink making too. Atmosphere wise it's small but warm and cozy. Too loud to study on a Saturday but probably perfect on a weekday. Have a kiosk for you to order from for convenience. Parking was terrible but that's not their fault; there's just way too many businesses in that plaza. On a weekend be prepared to go round and round and be wary of bad drivers/maneuvering through the narrow areas. Got two matcha einspanners, with the price of one being $7.10. Price is on par with competitors these days. It was rich just from the matcha, but especially so once the whipped cream was fully incorporated. It was earthy, but not bitter nor grassy. I didn't make any adjustments because I saw how busy they were but you can absolutely modify the ice and sweetness level. At the normal sweetness it's definitely on the dessert side (too sweet if you dislike dessert). I quite liked it and have a sweet tooth, but in the future I'd probably reduce it by 25-50%, especially since the whipped cream is also sweetened. Altogether with the regular sweetness and whipped cream it's a heavier drink so would not advise in the morning. Was a great pick me up for the afternoon. Definitely a spot worth trying! read more
First of all, parking is not that bad here. It's the norm in little saigon. I was able to snag a spot here right by the entrance. I keep missing the deals here until last night and tried their pumpkin matcha latte. I've been to numerous matcha places and this place definitely takes it to an upper level. It's strong and creamy, just the way I like it. The pumpkin foam top was a nice added touch. Price wise if it was by itself, it's a little on the high side. But definitely more than worth it when they have bogo matcha deals. Service was quick and the lighting inside is very instagrammable. There's some small chair seating right by the entrance as well. I'm a fan, will add this place to my list of favorites and stop by when I get my food near by. read more

Went for the banana pudding matcha bogo since I tried it the last time they had bogo. I ordered no ice, so I could have it the next day for work, but it made me realize how overpriced it really is. La ka viet. Newer coffee shop in Westminster with a nice selection of drinks. I had this place on my list for awhile to try Bac xiu coffee. Wasn't great. Just wasn't a fan. Even at 100 percent sweetness it didn't have the balanced of coffee to sweetness and creaminess this drink usually has Banana matcha latte. No quality matcha flavor. Another cafe for the books. Came in and tried their matcha foam coffee and she was strong! They offer it strong or regular and the regular is all I really needed to kick start my day. It's a Vietnamese coffee shop, so if you're familiar with it..they know coffee! I'm curious to see how the strong is like. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking but there's numerous shops around that you'll have to look for a spot. They offer free WiFi and there's plenty of seating. There's also outside seating. Although I consider this a coffee shop, they also have Vietnamese dishes like banh mi, Bo ne and beef stew! I tried their meatball banh mi and to be honest, the filling and bread ratio was off. However, not too shabby for $6. I do wanna come back and try the other dishes. They don't offer any pastries or what not but they do have desserts. read more
I can't believe I've never written a review for La Ka Viet before! I love going here to study with friends: wifi is decent & most tables have outlets. music isn't too loud which is nice too. I usually get their matcha einspanner with oat milk (4/5 very consistent) or mochi matcha latte (4/5, mochi could be firmer) but I saw their strawberry mochi matcha on the menu so I had to try it. drink is about a 3.5/5. the strawberry bits are fresh and not too sweet and syrupy but together with the mochi, it makes a very strange texture combination with each sip. it's bits of the mochi with these tiny bits of strawberry. i think it could've been better if the chunks were bigger but overall it's alright! matcha taste was there, although lessened due to the additions read more

Solid Matcha. We went and got the Bogo deal. I will say it's very creamy so if you like that you should definitely try this place. PS. Not their fault but the parking lot is absolutely horrendous. Parking space is tiny and the people driving give me anxiety.. Just a warning if you're going there. Tesla car might hit your car lol read more
Swung by for their bogo einspanner deal this weekend! It was definitely busy and everyone was ordering a couple of einspanners but they came out surprisingly fast! The matcha was smooth and I loved that even with copious amounts of the cream on top, you still taste the matcha! This place is located in a VERY busy shopping plaza. Most parking is about an hour max. When I walked it there was an option to purchase at the register and at a kiosk. The place is quite big and lots of outlets. If you're looking for a coffee shop to office or study this is a great spot. I ordered a strawberry matcha and combination banh mi. Both were good. Bread was nice and crispy veggies were fresh. The drink was good. No complaints. This place was clean and lighting is great. Staff was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more
