We are so fortunate living in OC where there are so many great coffee shops available. I've been wanting to try LaKa Viet for a while and so far hadn't had an opportunity to visit. However, this weekend 5/1 to 5/3, they have a promotion BOGO salted foam coffee, and I can't wait any longer. I went in about 10:30am on Friday and there is only one person in front of me. I ordered to go and was in and out just a few minutes. Parking is ok at this time but could be terrible on Sat/Sun during lunch hours. I tasted the coffee and loved it. A little stronger in coffee taste than other salt coffee however still good. The price is great, only $6+tax and tip. Excellent!
Went in for the BOGO blueberry matcha special and was not disappointed!! The cream top was fluffy with a strong blueberry flavor and the matcha, while a bit grassy, was pretty strong and not too sweet considering I didn't adjust anything from the original recipe and the cream top and blueberry puree already added to the overall sweetness of the drink. The blueberry puree on the bottom was also amazing and tasted like real fruit! The portion was huge as well. Good amount of indoor seating and the chairs are pretty comfy. Located in a mini mall with lots of easy parking as well.

The location is in a busy plaza so parking can be a little challenging. The place has sitting down area and has free Wi-Fi, a good place for study. Overall I would comeback if I'm in the area or they have another promotion.
We came tonight for the avocado coconut pudding dessert that we saw on YouTube. We expected the crowd to be as crazy as they said on YouTube and Yelp but it wasn't too bad. We were lucky to find a parking spot right away in front of the store. Now onto the dessert. The avocado coconut pudding dessert was very good but there was very little of it in a big cup. Mostly milk and/or coconut milk liquid mixed with plenty of ice, which was filled to just a bit more than a half of a cup. Dessert and all the stuff inside the cup is 5/5. Nice treat after our dinner at ZZ Hotpot. Pandan and coffee flavored jello pudding was just okay. Not sure if I wanted to get these again. Will try the matcha next time since La Ka Viet got a lot of compliments on their matcha.

There's a dozen inside small tables and some wicker chairs outside. They've got a point-rewards of perks if you join their rewards program, and their menu is packed with unique drinks. They even offer ceremonial grade matcha and a wide range of matcha flavors (see picture). I'm a Ube (purple girl) so we tried the Ube Matcha -- it was so good and you can taste the quality of the matcha. The creamy, thickness of the Ube was perfect! I'm sure I'll be coming back for more. Quick Tip: there's a password for the bathroom, so don't forget to ask when you order -- so you don't have to stand inline again.

The seats are comfortable, there are plenty of plugs for charging, and quick wifi. I ordered the pumpkin pie cream over the strong vietnamese coffee. The cream here is soooo delicious, I will be sad when pumpkin season is over. My friend got the matcha einspanner and we both agreed that it was way too sweet. This was my first time trying food here. My friend and I split the special sizzling steak and eggs plate. We got the steak medium rare and it was perfect! The plate was seasoned very well and the baguette was sooooo fresh!! Overall, the prices for the drinks and food are fair, and a great place to study!
Their Beef Bowl with Pepper sauce is addicting and delicious! You have to come in and try it!! Cost is $10 take out or $13 eat in (more is given). Tell me if I'm wrong because it's my favorite dish there to eat with my daughter :) Food serving hours are only until 4pm. They reduced their variety of drink options in place of their more popular drinks that are mainly their Ube Matcha, Strawberry Mochi Matcha and Einspanier Matcha. Their coffee drink varieties are still there. Drinks are tailored to your preferences, therefore I go in and communicate what I like, for example I will say "less ice about 1/4, oat milk in place of whole and, etc." Communicate how you like your drinks if it is 1/4 ice, 1/8 oat milk, 2 pumps versus 4 of a syrup... you should know your preferences because they can't read your mind and taste is personal. However, this place genuinely has the top notch of all Matcha places you can find. You can study here, I have seen many doing so. The hours of when you do, you'll learn when it is feasible versus when they are busy. I would recommend studying here on a weekday before dinner 5-7pm.

I keep missing the deals here until last night and tried their pumpkin matcha latte. I've been to numerous matcha places and this place definitely takes it to an upper level. It's strong and creamy, just the way I like it. The pumpkin foam top was a nice added touch. Price wise if it was by itself, it's a little on the high side. But definitely more than worth it when they have bogo matcha deals. Service was quick and the lighting inside is very instagrammable. There's some small chair seating right by the entrance as well. I'm a fan, will add this place to my list of favorites and stop by when I get my food near by.

The food was excellent--full of flavor and really satisfying. I ordered the Bo Ne Xuc Xich with a medium-rare steak, and it was cooked perfectly. The banh mi on the side was super crunchy and fresh, which made the whole meal even better. read more
I have never been to this coffee shop before, but I always see this all over my Instagram page. This was my first time coming here and my sister came here a few times. I got the strawberry matcha latte. Strawberry matcha latte was delicious, great flavor of strawberry and matcha, and love the color separation of strawberry & matcha. If you don't like matcha then I recommend getting this because it tastes mainly like strawberries if you're not a matcha fan. I would give this drink a 5/5 since I love this a lot. They have coffee, fruit tea, matcha, ice blends, and desserts. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly. The store has a great atmosphere, spacious; and clean. There is plenty of parking. I would definitely come back here to try their other drink options. read more
La ka viet. Newer coffee shop in Westminster with a nice selection of drinks. I had this place on my list for awhile to try Bac xiu coffee. Wasn't great. Just wasn't a fan. Even at 100 percent sweetness it didn't have the balanced of coffee to sweetness and creaminess this drink usually has Banana matcha latte. No quality matcha flavor. I had 2 sips and I couldn't drink anymore. read more
I can't believe I've never written a review for La Ka Viet before! I love going here to study with friends: wifi is decent & most tables have outlets. music isn't too loud which is nice too. I usually get their matcha einspanner with oat milk (4/5 very consistent) or mochi matcha latte (4/5, mochi could be firmer) but I saw their strawberry mochi matcha on the menu so I had to try it. drink is about a 3.5/5. the strawberry bits are fresh and not too sweet and syrupy but together with the mochi, it makes a very strange texture combination with each sip. it's bits of the mochi with these tiny bits of strawberry. i think it could've been better if the chunks were bigger but overall it's alright! matcha taste was there, although lessened due to the additions read more
This is the 1st place I've ever tried the banana pudding matcha and it was SOOO good! I never ordered the banana matcha because I never really liked banana flavored things. Oh nah, this didn't have that artificial overpowering banana flavor. Super creamy, these chunks that were sweet and actual banana pieces. Something tasted caramelized idk if it was the chunks or the banana pieces but I just had it this morning and I wanna go back again for it!!! Came for the buy 1 get free deal today around 11:50am and right after we got our drinks, it was PACKED. Their service was super quick, easy, plenty of seating inside, the parking outside was a struggle. Definitely worth coming back tho sooo yum read more

Solid Matcha. We went and got the Bogo deal. I will say it's very creamy so if you like that you should definitely try this place. PS. Not their fault but the parking lot is absolutely horrendous. Parking space is tiny and the people driving give me anxiety.. Just a warning if you're going there. Tesla car might hit your car lol read more
Swung by for their bogo einspanner deal this weekend! It was definitely busy and everyone was ordering a couple of einspanners but they came out surprisingly fast! The matcha was smooth and I loved that even with copious amounts of the cream on top, you still taste the matcha! This place took over an old dessert spot I used to go to. They had a weekend special of B1G1 avocado dessert. It cost $8 for both. I also ordered their pandan cheese flan. The drink was very good. Not to sweet and plenty of fruits, jelly, and avocado chunks. It has coconut milk as a base. The plaza has plenty of parking but it gets very busy. The store has plenty of seating inside. Drinks are made quickly and the staff are friendly. read more

This place is located in a VERY busy shopping plaza. Most parking is about an hour max. When I walked it there was an option to purchase at the register and at a kiosk. The place is quite big and lots of outlets. If you're looking for a coffee shop to office or study this is a great spot. I ordered a strawberry matcha and combination banh mi. Both were good. Bread was nice and crispy veggies were fresh. The drink was good. No complaints. This place was clean and lighting is great. Staff was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. read more

Went here once for the matcha einspanner buy one get one free and thought it was just ok. Today I came back for the coffee einspanner buy one get one free, and happy to say, it was goooodddd!!! The coffee is strong, smooth, and light sweet. I love it! The place looks like a nice study spot with food options too. I would consider studying here next time since I saw lots of matcha drinks and interesting desserts on the menu. read more
This was a great first coffee experience with La Ka Viet! Their weekend promotion is what got my attention and feeling of need to try it now! Banana Pudding Matcha Latte was a hit for my taste buds. I RARELY go to coffee shops and order anything matcha. With a BOGO on their new item this was my time to not be scared to order a matcha anything. I really enjoyed each sip of that latte. Has it changed my opinion of matcha? Just a bit. This matcha was well balanced and I would definitely order it again or any other of their Latte creations. Banana Pudding Matcha Latte 8.9/10. The place in itself is spacious with a clean environment. The space is slightly hidden amongst other ra dom shops and parking can get a bit hard to find. read more
I went to La Ka Viet to try their drinks, as my friend told me about their Matcha Einspanner BOGO deal. This drink normally is $6.50 and I got one free! Great deal and we enjoyed the strong taste of matcha in our drink. They also sell food here to pair up with your drink. The café is quite cute and had lots of seating and some seats outside as well. La Ka means "going here and there" in Vietnamese. However, my mother told me the word is la kà, not Là Kà like their store name so I'm not sure if it was a typo. Anyhow, they are located in the heart of Little Saigon on Bolsa and Brookhurst. The service was good, the cashiers were attentive, and the drinks came out fast! They also have a rewards program through Five Stars so you can sign up with your phone number to get points. I would like to come back here to try other drinks and some food. OMG hidden gem!! Starbucks has nothing on this place!! I tried the strawberry mochi matcha latte - incredible!! Now, I'm usually a coffee drinker but I am obsessed with this mochi matcha latte drink - ribbons of the mochi make it next level!! I don't know anywhere else that makes this!! Everyone that works there is so friendly and welcoming. You can order from a kiosk and they can also take your order. Small place but seems to buzz with many people "hanging out" even in this small place. read more
