I don't know how to feel about this place, the Matcha was poured out of a premade container, likely a Matcha concentrate, which didn't look all that appealing, because I thought matcha was supposed to be fresh? I mean, on the bright side, the order came out quick because the staff didn't need to brew fresh Matcha? The Matcha latte was OK, but it tasted like green tea more than anything? The color was very rich otherwise. The service itself was great, I was just thrown off by the Matcha itself.

This place is card only. It's inside Mitsuwa market in the food court. I've only been twice and I pass this place regularly. I didn't know it was here. When i looked up Yelp matcha places near me. I got 2 matcha lattes to go one iced and one hot

So happy this matcha spot opened in North OC (love their Torrance location)! Quick and friendly service, matcha is always on point, ample seating in the food court... always know that my parfait or drink will be consistently delicious.

Matcha soft serve

This place is worth visiting if you're looking for high quality matcha soft serve. The soft serve has strong matcha flavor and creamy. Portions are very generous, so I would suggest sharing if you have a small appetite. The dark chocolate square also paired well with the ice cream. Make sure you check this place out if you're doing some shopping inside Mitsuwa!

One of shops inside Mitsuwa Marketplace, offering a variety of matcha based drinks and desserts. I got a vanilla soft serve cup - that is one creamy delicious cold treat. The mango matcha drink is okay but matcha isn't my favorite, but my daughter loves the drink. Quick service for takeout. , used the chairs of the marketplace to consume these items. Not the typical food court in a mall, one of several dedicated Japanese food.

Wow I can't believe this place isn't as popular as it should be! Deserves to go VIRAL cuz how does no one know that there's an AUTHENTIC matcha dessert shop from Kyoto (the birthplace & mecca of Matcha in Japan)! THE BEST MATCHA soft serve I've ever tasted: rich earthy deep bitter matcha flavor. Located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace and left at the entrance where the dessert section is at. The worker that took my order was super helpful in deciding what to get, but since it was my first time trying their matcha, she suggested I'd get a vanilla swirl matcha soft serve just in case the matcha was too strong. Glad she did because I probably wouldn't have finished it all this first visit. Definitely a "hidden gem" for matcha lovers her in the area. Not sure if there's another location at other Mitsuwas, but glad the one closest to my house has this Matcha Cafe Gem!

I had been to the Torrance location before, and honestly I wasn't too impressed by the einspanner and latte, which I found to be a little light on the matcha and heavy on the milk. With this new location opening up a while ago, I was convinced to give it another chance. GETTING HERE AND PARKING: We came on a weekday afternoon so very easy WHAT I ORDERED: Koicha einspanner THE DRINK: Honestly, this was such a different experience from the first einspanner I had in Torrance. The ratio was on point, and it really didn't feel like the drink ended up getting watered down by the cream which was what it felt like last time. The cream itself was perfectly sweetened, so it ended up being the perfect sweetness altogether when mixed. The matcha itself was great, and they let you substitute the milk part itself for oat milk. SERVICE: Very good! Water cups upon request VIBES: Smaller food court compared to the Torrance Mitsuwa, but on a weekday afternoon it was practically empty. Even saw some people working on laptops, but no outlets and not sure if there's wifi here. BOTTOM LINE: I was surprised tbh - a good option for an einspanner!

I like Yamari for their authentic matcha. So many choices on the menu. The service at this location was great. I usually would order a matcha latte, but the staff informed me that their matcha lattes were not sweetened. If I wanted a sweetened one, it was recommended that I get the Matcha Au Lait. I got one. It was perfect. I regretted not getting a large lol We also got the Uji strong matcha. lol I guess it was pretty strong. We had to ask for some milk lol The premium mixed soft serve was delicious. The mochi was yummy. It looked so pretty with the chocolate. Will visit again =] Yamari was located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace.

Our favorite matcha shop is even closer to those in the SGV! Previously, the only Yamari in the U.S. was inside the food court of the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Torrance. This Yamari is located in the newly opened Mitsuwa in Cypress and is very similar to the other one, though the food court is a bit smaller due to the limited footprint of the space. The stall shares space with a J. Sweets (an artisan Japanese confectionary shop), similar to the Torrance location, so you can pick up some chocolates and cookies while you're there. Or, if you're feeling hungry, you can get some ramen and/or onigiri from the other vendors... but that's a review for another time. Their menu is quite expansive, ranging from lattes to hojicha to floats to even a banana bread, but we like to keep things simple and order the regular matcha latte and the regular matcha soft serve (which comes with a nice chocolate square). We also like to purchase their "Uji Mukashi" matcha powder and make our own lattes at home, because who can afford to buy $8 matcha drinks every other day, know what I mean? Anyway, Yamari's matcha products come from Uji, Kyoto (you know, the birthplace of matcha) so you know it's gonna be good. We prefer matcha with lots of umami and just barely sweet, so this has become our favorite in SoCal!

Koicha einspanner (special menu)

The Yamari stall is in a newly opened Mitsuwa with beautiful, spacious, and clean seating in the center of the market. I've tried Yamari in Torrance and would say the matcha here is equally potent and well made. We tried their koicha einspanner on the special menu. The latte and syrup were both strongly matcha flavored with minimally sweetened; the einspanner cream was lightly sweetened. It wasn't busy at all and our drinks were made fairly quickly. I think next time I would get their regular matcha latte, because the einspanner cream makes the latte a bit too creamy for me. Expensive for the size but very concentrated. Would come again!

This is definitely one of the most authentic matcha spots in OC. The matcha is strong, slightly bitter, and has that deep beautiful matcha aroma. So high quality and so delicious. The staff was so sweet and helpful with all the questions I had about the matcha powder I was interested in buying. The service was also super fast and there's plenty of seating because it's in like a food court area!

The Food: There's a menu full of options, but at the time of writing this -all- they had left was the matcha ice cream. That said, it was super good (so long as you like matcha, my son dug it, my daughter was less impressed). The Service: Super friendly and expedient, which is good as they are slammed! :P The Ambiance: It's part of the Mitsuwa eatery area, so it's fresh, clean, and new with lots of seating. If you like matcha then this is a must! Hope to see you here! :)

Really rich and strong matcha icecream

I really love this place. I've been going to the Torrance location and so glad they joe have one in Cypress. Really rich and strong matcha ice cream. Their matcha drinks are also really good. The place is small and efficient. The price is not too bad but really high quality matcha. The device is quick and staff is friendly. It's located inside Mitsuwa market. Parking is plenty but can be challenging.

Their Matcha soft serve is so bitter it comes off soapy. Mochi not sweetened. Red bean barely sweetened. Def an acquired taste.

You can choose as many flavors as you'd like for the sorbet and I've even seen someone get literally all of the flavors (and I think there's at least 15+ flavors), and the soft serve is chocolate, vanilla, or swirl! The sorbet flavors are all so delicious and don't taste artificial, and the soft serve is super creamy. They pair perfectly together which is why I get it every time! My favorite part of frostbites is always the service. The workers are always so patient and let you sample as much as you'd like. They also mix unique together flavors for you to try! My favorite is the Flinstone's Push Pop and any of their Hi-Chew combinations. The caramel macchiato combination is also really good. There's definitely something for everyone and you just need to let them know if it's your first time! My friends and I always sit inside. There's usually seats available because people come and go, but it's definitely busy on most nights. A perfect way to end the night after dinner or an outing with friends!

I really appreciated how nice and helpful the workers were. The girl who helped us offered recommendations and let us sample a handful of flavors. They had a "Brewed and Bold" offering as part of their seasonal menu so we decided to get the Black Sesame Cookies and Cream, Thai Tea Buttercrunch, Matchaberry Brownie, and their Hojicha Chip. The ice cream flavors were subtle but so delicious and refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try more of their flavors. The ice cream here is honestly horrible. It is aggressively, tooth-achingly sweet--to the point where it feels like you're eating straight corn syrup. If you're looking for actual flavor, look elsewhere; this stuff just tastes like "diabetes in a cup." To make matters worse, the consistency is a mess. It melts way too fast, turning into a sugary soup before you can even get through half of it. I also made the mistake of buying a tub to take home once, only to realize the expiration date was incredibly soon. For the price they charge, you'd expect high-quality ingredients and a decent shelf life, but it just feels cheap and poorly made. Save your money and your health. I won't be coming back. PS. It's a blessing in disguise that they're currently closed because a car ran into their front store.

I was gonna go to In-N-Out for a late meal on a Saturday night, and then I remembered I've been wanting to try Mooyah for a while,.... but I guess it was too much to ask that anybody actually care about my french fries.
