    Mango matcha
    Joyce A.

One of shops inside Mitsuwa Marketplace, offering a variety of matcha based drinks and desserts. I got a vanilla soft serve cup - that is one creamy delicious cold treat. The mango matcha drink is okay but matcha isn't my favorite, but my daughter loves the drink. Quick service for takeout. , used the chairs of the marketplace to consume these items. Not the typical food court in a mall, one of several dedicated Japanese food.

I had been to the Torrance location before, and honestly I wasn't too impressed by the einspanner and latte, which I found to be a little light on the matcha and heavy on the milk. With this new location opening up a while ago, I was convinced to give it another chance. GETTING HERE AND PARKING: We came on a weekday afternoon so very easy WHAT I ORDERED: Koicha einspanner THE DRINK: Honestly, this was such a different experience from the first einspanner I had in Torrance. The ratio was on point, and it really didn't feel like the drink ended up getting watered down by the cream which was what it felt like last time. The cream itself was perfectly sweetened, so it ended up being the perfect sweetness altogether when mixed. The matcha itself was great, and they let you substitute the milk part itself for oat milk. SERVICE: Very good! Water cups upon request VIBES: Smaller food court compared to the Torrance Mitsuwa, but on a weekday afternoon it was practically empty. Even saw some people working on laptops, but no outlets and not sure if there's wifi here. BOTTOM LINE: I was surprised tbh - a good option for an einspanner!

I like Yamari for their authentic matcha. So many choices on the menu. The service at this location was great. I usually would order a matcha latte, but the staff informed me that their matcha lattes were not sweetened. If I wanted a sweetened one, it was recommended that I get the Matcha Au Lait. I got one. It was perfect. I regretted not getting a large lol We also got the Uji strong matcha. lol I guess it was pretty strong. We had to ask for some milk lol The premium mixed soft serve was delicious. The mochi was yummy. It looked so pretty with the chocolate. Will visit again =] Yamari was located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace.

The Yamari stall is in a newly opened Mitsuwa with beautiful, spacious, and clean seating in the center of the market. I've tried Yamari in Torrance and would say the matcha here is equally potent and well made. We tried their koicha einspanner on the special menu. The latte and syrup were both strongly matcha flavored with minimally sweetened; the einspanner cream was lightly sweetened. It wasn't busy at all and our drinks were made fairly quickly. I think next time I would get their regular matcha latte, because the einspanner cream makes the latte a bit too creamy for me. Expensive for the size but very concentrated. Would come again!

Our favorite matcha shop is even closer to those in the SGV! Previously, the only Yamari in the U.S. was inside the food court of the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Torrance. This Yamari is located in the newly opened Mitsuwa in Cypress and is very similar to the other one, though the food court is a bit smaller due to the limited footprint of the space. The stall shares space with a J. Sweets (an artisan Japanese confectionary shop), similar to the Torrance location, so you can pick up some chocolates and cookies while you're there. Or, if you're feeling hungry, you can get some ramen and/or onigiri from the other vendors... but that's a review for another time. Their menu is quite expansive, ranging from lattes to hojicha to floats to even a banana bread, but we like to keep things simple and order the regular matcha latte and the regular matcha soft serve (which comes with a nice chocolate square). We also like to purchase their "Uji Mukashi" matcha powder and make our own lattes at home, because who can afford to buy $8 matcha drinks every other day, know what I mean? Anyway, Yamari's matcha products come from Uji, Kyoto (you know, the birthplace of matcha) so you know it's gonna be good. We prefer matcha with lots of umami and just barely sweet, so this has become our favorite in SoCal!

This is definitely one of the most authentic matcha spots in OC. The matcha is strong, slightly bitter, and has that deep beautiful matcha aroma. So high quality and so delicious. The staff was so sweet and helpful with all the questions I had about the matcha powder I was interested in buying. The service was also super fast and there's plenty of seating because it's in like a food court area!

I really love this place. I've been going to the Torrance location and so glad they joe have one in Cypress. Really rich and strong matcha ice cream. Their matcha drinks are also really good. The place is small and efficient. The price is not too bad but really high quality matcha. The device is quick and staff is friendly. It's located inside Mitsuwa market. Parking is plenty but can be challenging.

The Food: There's a menu full of options, but at the time of writing this -all- they had left was the matcha ice cream. That said, it was super good (so long as you like matcha, my son dug it, my daughter was less impressed). The Service: Super friendly and expedient, which is good as they are slammed! :P The Ambiance: It's part of the Mitsuwa eatery area, so it's fresh, clean, and new with lots of seating. If you like matcha then this is a must! Hope to see you here! :)

So so happy yamari is finally down in the OC! The quality of the soft serve is the same as the Torrance location - super rich and strong. Still the best matcha soft serve around!

Got the matcha latte thats sweetened. Good matcha but it's SOOOO strong. It is on the more bitter side, which I like , but might not be ideal for those who like sweeter matcha. Milk substitution are available as well and I got like with oat milk ! Left me with caffeine anxiety bc it was so strong LOL but it was good

This matcha is awesome! Yamari has great high quality and STRONG matcha. The staff are always helpful and help answer any questions about the menu or matcha. The food court is small but clean, and has a cool seating area with a recreation of the great wave. The roasted hojicha is super good as well, very rich and nutty. Its a small menu, but it hits everything and I'm tempted to try it all!!

happy that yamari is in oc! i've visited the torrance location once and loveee the soft serve. i got the mango matcha and matcha au lait. i originally chose the matcha latte based on the sweetness/umami/bitterness profile but the cashier told me the menu is the japanese menu so they don't follow it. basically the matcha latte is unsweetened and au lait is sweetened. they also recommend the matcha fruit mango latte but honestly it was just okay, the matcha taste isn't as strong and not as sweet as i thought. but the au lait is so good!!! the matcha bitterness is strong tho a little bit grainy. i also wanted to order a soft serve but they said their soft serve machine is broken (went on a saturday) and it would take about one hour to fix. will come back next time for the soft serve!!

I was excited to try this shop as Yamari Torrance is a renowned matcha shop that happens to have the most deep matcha taste for soft serve. Comparing it to Torrance, this shop has some ways to go. It's good but not great. It doesn't blow me away like the soft serve in Torrance did. I'm sure they'll get better, but Higa-san, your team here has some ways to go! The J-Sweets staff are friendly and helpful. They have aimilar array of goods there as other k-sweets stores in other Mitsuwa locations. I'm glad however that Yamari opens a second store here. I love it and hope they keep expanding. Ambiance is not as great as Torrance since this Mitsuwa court is very small. The Yamari brand is a renowned brand in Japan and hail from Tsujiri Hei brand from Kyoto. Check them out if you're ever in Japan https://www.tsujirihei.co.jp/en/lineup/

Their Matcha soft serve is so bitter it comes off soapy. Mochi not sweetened. Red bean barely sweetened. Def an acquired taste.

This Review has been WAY TOO OVERDUE…read more I've been coming to this place for a few months, it's my go to if I'm going to finish up work or just not think of anything and enjoy the coffee they have which I must say is REALLY REALLY GOOD, I've had like 70% of their menu and each drink just hits the spot better than the other, Americano? Hits, lattes? HITS HARDER, new drinks like their walnut latte? Oh you bet it's fire. Their VTM coffee tastes very very authentic as well and I'm very obsessed with this place. When you enter and specially in the morning they're usually busy so you do have to stand in the line to order or go straight and pick up the order online if you've made one online. They're very very fast and efficient! Every single time I go Alex always takes good care of me, we're pretty much best friends at this point! On top of that, Kevin and Barbra are also extremely friendly and I really love their attitude in the past few months that I've been going to this place I HAVE NEVER had a bad experience with any of the employees quite the opposite, they actually make the start to my day 10x better! Now the place it self is extremely aesthetic, quite, warm and automatically puts you in the mood for productivity with a peace of mind because of all of the colors around (black, white and grey) I should've left this review a while ago but hey better late than never! I came on a Thursday around 4 PM and there were a few people doing work at the tables. The service was super quick and I saw why once I ordered. They don't had whisk their matcha but rather just squeeze the matcha out of a bottle. Lowk scared me but I was still willing to give it a try! I ordered a matcha latte and my friend got an einspanner which both looked promising. The matcha is very grassy and leaves my mouth super dry. The flavor is there and it's not super sweet which I like but it also has a weird salty undertone that I'm not used to in a matcha latte. I think I need to try a matcha einspanner since their foams seem to be what makes the drinks good but I otherwise wouldn't get this matcha again. My friend's einspanner was okay. She mainly liked the cream foam but otherwise it wasn't anything special. The coffee is just straight black so it's not sweet at all until you mix the foam in. 10/10 please give it a try ‍ Love this place, ran across…read moretheir Instagram and was immediately intrigued, I Had the tiramisu Vietnamese iced coffee, wasnt sure if it would be too strong and not sweet(I have a sweet tooth, I don't like bitter/unsweetened coffee) but it was well balanced (strong but still tasted good). The croffles are so good too.(Now discontinued because they didn't sell well ) Will come back to try their other drinks. Update: My fave is the biscoff coffee, sadly I live very far from here so I can't visit more often I tried the banana coffee, Coconut coffee and cookies and cream ice blend, they're all good, biscoff Vietnamese coffee if my go to though. The lady at the counter is so nice and she let me try the toppings for the Vietnamese coffee when I wasn't sure what I wanted . Service is fast, coffee games about 1-2 minutes to be made. The place is cute, spacious, great for casual meets up or working/studying. Great for loners, couples, small groups, and maybe even bigger groups. They have weekday deals for certain drinks It seems to be empty most of the times I've been there so I'm always sharing their Instagram cause I love this place and want it to do well. they also host little crafting events. They have a little chalkboard sign with schedule and pricing for the events. They also sells cakes and tiramisu and other pastries but I have yet to try them.
