Cascara Lemonade, Chai Latte
Danica

Stopped by Homeboy Coffee and had a pleasant visit! Ordered the cascara lemonade and chai latte -- both were pretty good. The cascara lemonade was a unique flavor, kind of tart with a little sweetness to it, definitely something different. The chai latte was more classic but done well -- just the right amount of sweetness, nothing overdone. Staff was friendly and the space itself is cute and cozy. Felt like a great spot to get some work or studying done. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Stop by if you're in the area!

Americano easy ice. 1/3 of the drink was missing since I said less ice :(

It's a really big pet peeve of mine to go to a coffee shop and order less ice and then they give me significantly less drink. This is my first time at homeboy coffee. I ordered a batch brew but they told me they stopped serving it at 11 AM, so I ordered an Americano with easy ice instead. Nobody told me a third of the drink would be missing. Are they really losing much money on me to just fill the plain coffee? There's not even milk in my coffee so it's not like they're using many resources. The drink was seriously only 2/3 of the way full if not slightly less (see pics) and that just doesn't sit right with me. Honestly, I wasn't cheap either, considering I ordered the most basic coffee they had. I won't be coming back here. Too bad!

Got to visit this cafe on a Sunday afternoon and I loved my experience here! Plaza has plenty of parking, interior has a lot of seating, and the music playing was top tier. My friend and I found ourselves Shazamming almost every song that played haha I decided to try something new and get the Homeboy latte and it was delicious. I could barely taste the cayenne though. The ube matcha was also very tasty. Definitely coming again!

*Note: TDLR at the end of the review Corn Matcha: 5.5/10 I've had way way better. Corn and the matcha doesn't pack a punch. I personally would've liked a stronger corn flavor. The ice to drink ratio is great! Extra half point for it looking aesthetically pleasing, but other than that, I wouldn't order it again. Service: 8/10 Everyone is super nice and easy to talk to! Ordering was easy and drink came out in 5-10mins, and they were quite busy when I walked in. Ambiance: 8/10 It's definitely a small space, but they make it work! I think the interior looks great and is very functional in terms of walking room. There's a really good balance of natural and artificial lighting. Nothing is overwhelming or super intense. Music was a bit loud for me personally. There are outlets here and there and the restroom was pretty clean. Parking lot is medium sized, and I had no issues finding a spot. There's indoor and shaded outdoor seating. Pretty good study spot overall. TDLR: Good study spot for individuals or pairs. Corn matcha is super mid. Clean restrooms, good lighting, easy parking, but music can be a bit loud. Rated 4 stars because of the drink. Willing to come back if a friend wanted to go, but wouldn't come back by myself.

With the myriad of coffee shops, both old and new, in Cerritos/Artesia area, Homeboy Coffee stands as a solid contender. The drinks stay fresh and trendy and the ambiance is very nice. It's clean, spacious, and well-lit. The staff was friendly and patient with recommendations during my first visit there. So far, Ive had the Sweet Corn Cream Latte and Sweet Corn Cream Matcha and they were both delicious! I would say their corn cream was creamier and tastier than the one that Bopo offered. I can't wait to try their other menu items! Homeboy is usually pretty busy but the I've never had to wait too long of a line, so I assume many of the folks in the shop were studying or just hanging out. And the parking was small but usually not too hard to find a spot.

Homeboy latte. Don't the smoothness fool you. Drink it slow.

The Homeboy latté: smoothest coffee I've ever had! STRONG without that bitter aftertaste that gives you the impression that someone threw in some cigarette ash in your brew. Perfect til the very last drop! So smooth that I chugged it and had a mini panic attack. The cream foam with whatever stuff they sprinkled on top was so satisfying. Loved the customer service. Loved the coffee. Great pastries. COOL atmosphere.

LOVE this place. My friends recommended and I was near by so tried it. I couldn't decide one drink so I got two:Cream Top and Ube Matcha. I also got Waffle and warm up. I started drinking Cream top and oh boy so yum. I also tried waffle but it was a bit too tough by warm up and taste ok but it's not right texture. I was there around 2p and it was filled people but no line for cashier. I took drinks to go anyway. I wanna go back there. Parking was plenty but filled.

It's a small tucked in the corner k-coffee shop. I looove azn corn or sweet potato lattes. Got my corn fix here and was not disappointed. It is on the smaller side so seating gets filled up quickly and half the folk bring laptops. There's outdoor patio seating. Parking plaza seems like there should be enough spots for parking. The corn latte was thick foam and delish. Haven't tried anything else yet but I see it's super popular and busy all the time which should be an indication of it being that good.

Now this is great coffee! Got their Spanish Latte and the foam was delicious. It's sweet but not overwhelming as most coffee shops tend to be. I am so excited to be back and try more items. My husband says service was good.

Great coffee, calm ambiance with simple aesthetic. Went here on Friday afternoon, and the customer was coming in and out non-stop. A lot of people bring their laptops since there are electrical plugs at every single table! My cousin recommended the Sweet Cream Corn latte, and it was excellent! A combination of Cheetos and a latte. I asked for a half-sweet, and it is still sweet but not too sweet. They are in a plaza with a private parking lot.

Decaf espresso w/ whole milk and Sweet corn foam

Loved the ambience and drinks. I saw a lot of people inside studying or hanging out. The drinks were refreshing! I enjoyed the decaf option, though would probably try to do half sweet next time. The double chocolate cookie was a nice plus also. The baristas were super helpful with getting our drinks and were quick with the turnover!

Open early on Sunday morning, friendly service, large interior with plenty of seating, I tried the Cream Top which sounded great, with Sweet Cream, Short Americano, and Hazelnut, which was okay but nothing spectacular.

Very aesthetic, bustling cafe on a Sunday afternoon. My husband and I dropped by here because he was really feeling coffee, haha. We got the homeboy cold brew latte and a hot homeboy latte. Both drinks were execellent! Great coffee flavor, with barely any bitterness detected. I know this is blasphemy, but I typically like sugary lattes over ones where the coffee flavor is more pronounced mainly because there's some leftover bitterness that I do not enjoy. However, I really liked the coffee here. I could taste the distinctive coffee flavor of both drinks without that bitterness I dislike. Husband also really liked both drinks and found them really smooth. The interior is super clean, and there's a lot of seating and a tad bit crowded, but I really liked the atmosphere of this place. There's a medium amount of parking as it's a part of a mid sized plaza and we had no issues grabbing a spot. Could totally see it being a bit of a struggle on maybe a Saturday morning or something though? That side, great coffee spot! Well definitely be back! They have some great looking pastries that I want to try on my next visit.

Both were excellent rich & creamy and served at the perfect drinking temperature. This is honestly one of the best Flat Whites I've had in years!! Will be going back soon to try some of there other drinks. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the drinks. There is also a large variety of beans available for sale. I was even able to find filters for my home pour-over setup! Its a smaller shop with a modern, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay. There is limited seating inside and a couple of benches outside. Not the kind of space where you can sit down to work or study. But perfect for visiting with friends and enjoying the wonderful drinks. Ondo is located in a busy strip mall so parking can be tough. We actually parked in the strip mall next door LOL There is also some street parking in the area.

As for the drinks, the pour overs is lacking as of late. When I get pour overs I would like the staff to be attentive to my drink than being side-tracked. I'm paying almost $8.5+ for my pours mind you. I'll continue to come for the beans but I don't know about the drinks right now.
