I ordered a Chinese pork banh mi. It was delicious. I like that the jalapeños were present but weren't too spicy for me because they were sliced thin and possibly deseeded. This location is in a shopping strip next to an eyelash placeright on the corner. It is best to call ahead and place your order unless you don't mind waiting for your made to order sandwich. We stopped by the store first the first time after shopping at nearby Home Depot. It has very good rating and was convenient to get some sandwiches to go. The store was packed with lots of goodies, slightly overwhelming yet very well organized. The owner/manager was kind, courteous, and helpful. This place is so tiny but do not let the size fool you. The man running this shop has excellent customer service! He took our order quickly and then told us we could wait in the comfort of our car. I was in town looking for a quick lunch bite to eat so that I wouldn't get stuck on the 91 freeway going back home. I love Banh Mi sandwiches and found the Sandwich House on Yelp. They have such great reviews from others, so I decided to check them out. They are located directly across from Cypress College. When I entered the building, I was greeted by a friendly, older Vietnamese man. The shop was filled with many different types of snacks, breads, pate, bretle butter, etc. I placed an order for the number one how special Banh Mi sandwich. He told me that it would be ready in 10 minutes and gave me a Jasmine tea on the house. I waited in my car, and he came out with not only my sandwich in the bag, but other things that he included, like fruit, cookies and pistachios. It was so thoughtful and sweet. His gesture reminded me of being a kid again, and how my dad used to pack my lunches for school and would include healthy snacks to go along with it. Besides all the extra stuff he packed me, the sandwich was delicious! Better than most of the Banh Mi that I've gotten from Little Saigon. Both have very flavorful protein, but I prefer the House Classic with Pate on it. The pate is just that delicious! They do offer small cans for sale, and today I saw a new green one that supposedly has even more flavor. $7 for the red one and $7.50 for a green can. They do also offer catering.
