My husband and I came to have lunch here this past Monday. It's nice that they have a lunch menu with smaller portions and lower pricing. The broth was decent, but both my bowl and my husband's regular-sized bowl barely had any meat. What really ruined the experience was the hygiene. The server wore the same pair of gloves non-stop--wiping tables, serving food, and handling money without ever switching them out. Unfortunate, I thought it could be good but Pho Tai Lan was very disappointing I should've known better since this is this sort of chain. The meat didn't even really taste that good, not too much garlic taste so it felt more like a random add-on side of soso tasting meat. Which actually make sense, not too surprised but it just means Pho Tai Lan (garlic seared beef + pho) should be something I stick to at the places I know that are good. I think this place is totally decent and fine for a plain normal bowl of pho or vermicelli but there are more authentic places / better options if you're around. It was a hot day outside temperature wise and I came across this place for lunch (I am new to the area) and thought to myself, pho sounds really good right now but it's too hot to eat it. I said to heck with it as my sinuses were flaring up and decided to give it a try (so glad I did)! I was greeted promptly by a server and had my choice of seating. They have a pretty extensive menu for being so small and I opted for the 12.95 lunch pho special so I ordered veggie and it came out piping hot and was a big bowl! I also ordered a spring roll a la carte on their lunch menu for 3 bucks which was also big and tasty. Service was excellent and the servers were super sweet and attentive. We ordered the Garlic Noodle, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, and Grilled Pork Chop Rice Plate. The food was alright. The pork chop wasn't tender and lacked flavor, even after dipping it in the sauce. I got the birria beef bone rib and brisket pho. I wish the birria had actually birria meat where the meat falls apart and is tender. I got cubes of meat that was supposed to be birria so was little thrown off by that. Maybe I'm just a huge birria lover but I wish the birria flavor was more pronounced. It has a blend of both pho and birria but I barely taste the Mexican flavors including the spices and oil. We got this Togo along with the sunset drink. Sunset drink was too sweet for me. Got their signature pho and birria pho and man, they're both SO flavorful! They're both large size so portions are humongous -- definitely enough to take home for a second meal. I thought it was a walk up and order at the counter type of place but they actually seat you and take your order. It was pretty clean too. The customer service is nice. They staff that took my order was nice, polite and attentive. Garlic butter shaken beef: seasoned very well and the meat was really tender. I didn't have to fight with the beef to chew it. It comes with white rice or garlic noodles. They also serve a side salad and some pho broth with it which is nice. 4.5 stars Chicken wings: they have a small and larger order. The option to choose bone in or boneless. 6 for bone in and 10'for boneless which is fair. I hate when they charge you the same for the same amount. To me, chicken wings aren't wings if there's no bone, so I opted for bone in. They have different flavors to choose from. I chose the lemon pepper. It was good but the chicken pieces were in the smaller side. 4 stars. They have the option to scan your bill and pay through your phone, or you can pay using Apple Pay or traditional card and cash. After a long day at Disneyland with my girlfriend, our friend and her kid, plus her sister and her sister's kid, we were all craving a big bowl of soup. Since this pho spot was open late, it ended up being the perfect option. When we got there, the restaurant was pretty empty, so we were seated and able to order right away from their late-night menu, which actually had a good variety of options. I ordered one of their signature pho bowls (without tripe) along with a Thai iced tea. The Thai tea was a bit disappointing since it tasted weaker than I prefer, so I'd probably skip it next time. The pho itself was a decent portion, although it was definitely on the pricier side compared to other pho restaurants. The broth wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping, but the meat was cooked well and was tender. I also thought the noodle-to-meat ratio was a little off, and they were pretty light on the bean sprouts, basil, mint, and lime that came on the side. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was nice, and the employee working that night was friendly and welcoming. That said, I do think it's a bit overpriced for what you get. If you're looking for a solid late-night bowl of pho when most places are closed, it'll definitely do the job. Came here today for lunch, I would say this is easily the best most authentic Pho in cypress/losal/anaheim area. The prices are affordable, the service is fantastic, the restaurant is clean and the food is phenomenal. The pho broth was the perfect flavor, didn't need hoisin or sriracha. I do put it in anyways because I like it, but it truly had such a great flavor complex it's not necessary. My daughter got the grilled pork bowl, EASILY the best grilled pork I have ever had from any other Vietnamese restaurant - will be coming back for this. Another honorable mention is the fish sauce, usually I don't use it at all it's too strong, not here. The fish sauce was mild and the flavor was fantastic. I checked out Pho Hoa in Cypress after my dentist visit. The place is super clean. I ordered the tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce and for $5 you get two huge rolls packed with fresh veggies, vermicelli and tofu. For the price it was definitely worth it. Fresh, light, served with a tasty peanut sauce. Menu has all the usual Vietnamese staples like pho and vermicelli bowls, plus other sides and drinks. Service was friendly and quick. I will 100% be back. All the workers are so kind and attentive. I felt so welcomed and like my dining experience mattered. And boy did they deliver in a good experience. They immediately provide a welcoming automosphere and they explained the menu to us because we never been there before. Don't know what happened to my first review. Did it get deleted?!?! Anyways, our first visit wasn't the best. Server was so so slow. Not sure if he's slow bc he's new, or slow bc he doesn't want to work there. I had to asked for water 4 times. We ordered a pho, bun bo hue, and popcorn chicken with rice for our 4 yr old. Food took forever to come out. Popcorn chicken is so fried, the meat was hard, no one liked it. Pho was was okay. Bun bo hue was okay, but the herbs and veggies were missing. I had yo ask him for those too. Our food finally came out and we still didn't have any water. I think the owner or someone in management noticed, told him to get water, and the manger/owner gave my son a capri sun juice to make up for it. We just recently tried Pho Hoa again bc my in laws wanted pho. Service and food was slow, again. There were 6 of us for lunch, 4 adults and 2 kids under (4yr old and 2 yr old). We orders 4 bowls, my MIL and I shared a portion of our pho with the kids (they don't eat much). When the bill came, we were charged gratuity!! GRATUITY bc we had 2 babies with us that barely ate AND their service was soooo SLOW and food took forever to come out. Like... why would it take forever to make pho?!?! A light yet filling pho. In addition to pho, the restaurant also serves a variety of other rice dishes, dry vermicelli dishes, drinks, and entrees. The service is quick. You won't have any trouble finding parking as it's located in a shopping plaza with ample space. My only qualm about this restaurant is that each time I've visited, there are always so many flies and gnats. This is Pho Hoa's newest location in the OC. When the pho cravings hit recently, I decided to drop in for a meal. Looking over the menus, there were plenty of classic Vietnamese food options, including some unique dishes and soups, but I stuck to the lunch special menu for now. The drinks menu looked amazing, but I will try one next time. I ordered the Steak and Brisket Pho lunch and one Summer Roll. As expected, you get a side dish with veggies to add to the pho bowl, which came out pretty quickly and steaming hot. The broth was light yet flavorful and satisfying. I got a to go order on my way home from church. This place is fairly new. Looks clean and updated from the inside. I forgot to take a photo of the food. I was greeted at the door by a friendly older man. He's prob the owner or manager. Either way, very welcoming. The flavor profile is nice. I got the brisket & beef bone for $18. The noodle was a big harder than my usual liking but in fairness I also took it to go. I'd dislike it more if It ended up being too soggy. A solid spot for pho in Cypress! As soon as you walk in, you can smell the rich broth and spices. The pho itself is flavorful, with plenty of green onion, and definitely hit the spot. My only small gripe is with the veggie plate. Even though we ordered two bowls, the plate was on the smaller side (just one lime, for example). I ordered the garlic steak pho, and my wife ordered the steak & brisket pho, we both ordered the large bowls, something that we would regret later. We also ordered a fried roll. First the roll, full of meat and veggies, not just all egg roll wrapper, served with a dipping sauce, very good as a starter. The pho's as I stated before were amazing! very flavorful, full of noodles and both had good portions of meat. Located inside a plaza so there's plenty of free parking. They offer lunch specials between 11-2:30pm. For the pho they offer regular or large size and for the lunch special its slightly smaller than regular. The small from the lunch special was the perfect portion for me especially since I got a few other items to try. The broth was flavorful and made me feel cozy. The vermicelli was fresh and the grilled pork was delicious. The popcorn chicken was okay, some were crispy while others were more of a soggy consistency. I did like the basil leaves but wanted a bit more flavor and seasoning. Overall the space was clean and spacious with tables both inside and outside. Glad I had finally got this off my bookmark checklist. Ordered #52 Beef rib bone and brisket Complimentary dish of pickled onions- pallet cleanser The broth is quite balanced in taste. Rib meat slid right off the bone effortlessly. The brisket pieces in the bowl were just enough. They give a lot of noodle for large size however; the texture of the noodle was too Al dente for me. I don't know if they use an off brand or if the noodle was blanched enough. The chili oil is a nice touch and self serve condiment section on the table is a plus. Service - Adequate I can see this place was picking up a lot of patronage during just having barely opened in the 30 minute window.
