It's a hometown staple that's been around since I was a kid. The service is fast and the food is good. I love the bun bowls here more than the soup lately that's just a preference of mine since the weather is a bit warmer lately. They've done a good job with the updating /remod over the years. This place also can get packed during peak meal hours.

Pho with Tofu & Broccoli (here, with beef broth--you can choose vegetable broth), rare steak, and (free) white onions

This is place has been a staple for us and our tofu and broccoli loving friends. I usually get the pho tai (pho with rare steak) but always feel jealous of the tofu and broccoli: today, for the first time I found my perfect order--just get the side of rare steak and add it in (*epiphany*) and have the best of both worlds. Silky pho noodles, exquisite broth, family owned, indoor and outdoor seating (with heaters for cold days), fast friendly service! Parking can sometimes be a challenge, but that's never stopped us, and we've never waited for more than a few minutes.

Pho Tasty is a no frills, legit, and authentic Vietnamese eatery in the Artesia area. They have their own parking lot here with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a modest setup with a good amount of seating. For their menu, they have all of the classics to choose from. I got the Com Ga Roti and wifey got the Combination Pho. You really cannot go wrong with anything you order here. There is a reason why this spot has over 2,000+ positive reviews. Pho Tasty is Viet gang approved!

Another Revisit. Great as always. It was a rainy Christmas Eve, this place opened up at 11am sharp. Entered and had the option to pick my own table. Just had one thing in mind which was a Pho Combo soup large. 5 minutes passes and wala! Received my combo large. Nothing short of this experience. Was treated nicely. The staff is very professional. Excellent choice for pho. Parking lot gets crowded, definitely this place is the spot in cerritos!! You won't be dissapointed.

We came here on a Friday night and got seated right away. Parking can be a bit of a challenge as it is small and a bit tight. Restrooms are available and are clean. Customer service was attentive and our food came out in good timing. My beef and rice had tons of flavor and the crispy egg rolls hit the spot!

First time here and it was really good! When I got here there was quite a wait, but the wait is definitely worth it. The staff is really busy and they do their best. Now the food, the pho is really really good. The broth is super clean and they give you a big portion! I got the #11 (not pictured) with rare steak and brisket, the charbroiled pork chop (not pictured) - but this was the best pork chop I have at pho restaurants, definitely getting this again. And lastly the egg roll and spring rolls which can never go wrong! Overall, everything here was phenomenal

Located in Artesia off Pioneer and South Street, Pho Tasty is a local's spot for a pretty good bowl of pho. It's pretty no frills, but the broth is aromatic, it's loaded with flavor, and you have everything you need at the table to get the balance you want. Cost of a bowl of pho has gone up significantly over the years; however, that's unfortunately the case everywhere. A small bowl of pho dac biet is $13 and a large bowl is $15. The biggest difference between the two sizes is that the large bowl has a ridiculous amount of rice noodles. If you don't need a double (or possibly triple) portion of rice noodles, then the small is good. I do like having varied textures in the pho dac biet from tripe, tendon, and meatballs; however, if you only want brisket, then you can get your bowl of pho for about $1-2 cheaper. I also like to get a side order of pickled onions to give a nice acidic kick to my meat and soup. We also usually get an order of their pork and shrimp spring rolls ($8 for 2) and they're OK. This is a good place for a good bowl of pho that doesn't try to be over the top. The prices are OK and it will always be busy during peak hours.

I've ordered takeout from here a few times, for Vietnamese, love this place! Just picked up dinner. It's priced fair, good portions, parking lot always seems to be packed. The food was fresh, ready quick, staff nice as usual. If you want Pho around the Cerritos or neighboring areas, I highly recommend this place. Has a great vibe and feel for a restaurant if you eat-in, like a unique family restaurant.

Came here for dinner around 5:30, which I thought was early, but the place was already packed and busy. The parking lot is pretty small, but we managed to snag a spot. We waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. I ordered the pho dac biet (regular), and the broth was super flavorful -- didn't even need to add hoisin sauce. I just tossed in some chilis and sriracha to make it spicy, and it was perfect. Our food came out really fast too; they took our order right away and everything hit the table shortly after. Overall, a solid pho spot with great broth, quick service, and a lively atmosphere. I'd definitely come back!

Thai Tea and the Pho with brisket and steak.

If you're looking for a restaurant that will get you in and out quickly, this is a great option. It was a weekend night at 8 o'clock, so I was worried we would have to wait a while. But despite the restaurant being packed with people and a little loud, they immediately seated us. The service throughout was very fast, and we had our food within no time. We both got the classic pho; however, I got mine with steak, and my boyfriend got his with brisket. We also got the eggrolls, and he got a Thai tea. The steak was very tender and juicy, and the eggrolls were probably some of the best I've had. Overall, I loved this restaurant and would come again, especially if I had a cold and needed some Pho to cure me!

This is a good place to satisfy your taste for some pho! Service was fast, good portions, flavor was on point. Really nothing to complain about. Everything came out really quickly. We got some egg rolls for our appetizers and it was hot and fresh. Just some classic delicious egg rolls with fish sauce as your dipping sauce. Pho was flavorful and broth was hot. They gave a lot of meat even in the regular. The large was huge. We honestly could've shared. If you are feeling a bowl of pho, give this place a try. I know there are a lot of options around but this place does it right with real fast service!

pho with rare steak & brisket = $12.00 for a small

3.5 stars There are many things I like about Pho Tasty. For one, the wait isn't too aggressive and there's a space with seats should you have to wait. Secondly, it's so cheap here. To start, we shared an order of the charbroiled pork patty rolls ($8.00 for 2). These are like regular spring rolls, but sub the shrimp and pork. The charbroiled pork patty rolls (nem) comes rolled with greens and vermicelli noodles + peanut sauce. These were good - there was nice char on the pork patty rolls. I ordered #11 - rare steak and brisket ($12.00 for a regular). Obviously the better value is the special combo ($15.00 for a large) where you get a bigger bowl of pho with a variety of meat. I appreciated that the pieces of meat were cut into sizable pieces and there was plenty per bowl. The broth fell a little short for me. It didn't have that oomph that you seek when you're eating pho. It was a very okay bowl of pho. Definitely tasty and satiating.

5A. Crispy Vietnamese Egg Rolls with Lettuce Wraps
    Juan G.

Stopped by Pho Tasty in Artesia and was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the mango smoothie, and it was so good -- super refreshing for a hot summer day. The crispy Vietnamese egg rolls with lettuce wraps and noodles were a solid 10/10. Wrapping it all together was amazing -- perfect crunch, flavor, and freshness in every bite. For my main, I got the #6, and the broth was incredibly flavorful -- rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. Honestly, it was so good I forgot to take a picture (a true sign of great food). Service was quick and attentive. I was really thirsty, and they refilled my water without me even having to ask once. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.

Food: The soups were quite bland for our taste so we did a bit of customization with salt and pepper. Although they provided a decent amount of banchan, the proteins in their soups were pretty scarce, not worthing the $19 price tags. Their Hae Jang Guk was the only soup with the bone filled up the bowl. However, because there's no space in the small bowl, even a little nudge made its soup spilled all over my sister's body. The waitress just then gave her a bib but the damage had already been done. The Bulgogi and Katsu took the longest to come out but they were the highlights of our meal. Service: We were the only table at the time and our waitress only gave us 2 menus for a table of 6 so we had to go grab our own from other tables. She's not the friendliest and kept tossing things on our table. She also tried taking away a dipping sauce jar after I had already requested to keep it. Our water was never refilled and napkins were very skimmed out. Though she did check up on our tables, her attitude was what made us refrain from asking for help. We love to give smaller businesses a chance, but we're sad to say Jomaru is not one of them.

I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.

Just a heads up, even "mild spicy level" has a noticeable heat, so if you're sensitive to spice, don't try to be brave... go no spice. The meats were surprisingly good, tender, not chewy, which is where a lot of places mess up. Noodles came out hot, no complaints there. We also got mango sticky rice and this is where they really sealed the deal. Mango was perfectly in season, juicy, sweet, not that sad sour off-season stuff. Off the bat, the portion sizes for the tom yum and pad thai were VERY generous (from my experiences with Thai restaurants). The pad thai stood out and was absolutely delicious! The service did great with helping us out and attending to our requests. The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. Overall, I'm glad I gave S T Noodle Bar a try! I'd recommend it!
