Food: Grabbed a modest amount of fixings (i.e., veggies, seafood, meats, etc.) for my soup, which totaled out to be ~$13. Not too shabby. Opted for the beef bone broth; however, there was a taste/smell to it, reminiscent of lamb (I only got beef), which was unexpected and a bit off-putting for me. Service: Decent. While it isn't a standard sit-down restaurant, be prepared to be charged a gratuity for a party of six or more. Ambiance: Casual. Pretty spacious and clean, including the ingredient + sauce bar. Parking: Ample parking, but located in a relatively busy/high-traffic plaza, so parking could take a minute, during peak hours.

The perfect meal after a long day, no matter the weather! They have a really good selection of mix ins that are all good quality and the broth is perfectly seasoned! The service is very good as they offered to refill our waters constantly and there is lots of spice and tables. The vibes here are very cozy and casual

YGF is a hit or miss sometimes depending on the location, but this one is always a hit! Service is quick, it's a large and spacious restaurant with many tables, and there is a ton of variety of toppings and sauces. My favorite toppings aside from the beef belly include the money bags, quail eggs, cheese tofu, and enoki mushrooms. There is always something for everyone's taste! I always go with the beef bone broth with mild/medium spice depending on how I am feeling. The broth is rich but not too overwhelming. I also like that they have a stamp card here where you get "stamps" for however many lbs your soups are. I always get enough to bring some home to-go because it tastes just as good the next day!

I used to make the drive to Rowland for malatang, but YGF in Artesia absolutely has become my fav malatang spot near me!! So far, I have tried the beef soup base, tomato soup base, and the dry pot mix and they all hit so hard! My favorite soup base is still the beef one, but the dry mix is also so good! YGF has perfected the level of spice, as I don't get so much numbing spice that is overwhelm the flavor of the soup base. I like the broth is super flavorful already and not as bland as Yingtang! They have a great selections of toppings here! They even have the scallop ball that I used to only get at Yingtang! Be careful though, they have meat and good stuff at the end, so don't stack your bowl just yet at the beginning. It's $15.99/lb, which is pretty average compared to other spots. The service here is amazing! Staff is super friendly and attentive, from checking up on you to refilling your water. A+ service with lots of seatings, so you don't have to worry abt waiting in line for long. The space is huge with bright lights and bustling atmosphere!!

Walked in on a Friday night and waited for about 10 min which wasn't so bad. You pick a bowl and add as many ingredients you want and you pay by the weight. I ended up getting 1 lb including the meat and veggies, sweet potato vermicelli with mild spicy beef herbal broth. The broth was not as tasty as I was expecting it to be. It was extremely oily and it had a weird taste and smell to the whole dish overall. We ordered the skewers as well and we weren't sure if it was pork or chicken but the outer layer looked cooked but the inside didn't taste like it and it was extremely chewy. We did not enjoy this food sadly. The sauce bar was also limited and wasn't well cleaned.

The tom yum and curry broths were both good. The service was great even when they were busy. However, we did notice that the broth was a bit grainy once it cooled a bit. Not the biggest fan of that, but the overall flavors were great! The place itself was very busy, so that was the overall vibe of the place. Keep in mind it's ~$16 per lb. The food is very filling and I love having a lot of options!

The weather has been cold late at night so was in the mood for soup. As you enter, you grab a bowl and tongs and fill it up with anything you please. The items range from seafood to veggies to meats and noodles. Once you're done filling your bowl, you then weigh it and choose a soup flavor and let the cashier know how spicy you want. In exchange, they give you a number so that they can bring it to your table afterwards. They also have a self serve sauce bar. You're able to make your own concoction of sauces and garnishes so you can dip your fillings from your bowl. I love the fact it's simple and quick and easy. I ended up getting the beef bone broth in mild spice and it satisfied my craving. I wouldn't mind coming back to try the other soup bases.

One of my fav malatang spots with a good amount of options. They do have a 1 lb minimum like most places though so I would recommend sharing with someone if you aren't too hungry. Also this plaza is usually super busy and packed in my experience so I would recommend carpooling if possible I always get the classic beef bone broth with medium spice. This is usually perfect for me, but I did notice the dry beef bone broth at medium was a lot spicier than the soup version

Love this place Always my go to for hanging out with friends Good amount of options and great flavor I always get the classic bone broth mild and it never disappoints Hopefully will try the dry pot someday!

Love!!! It!!!! Here!!!!! There's a YGF closer to where I live but this one is honestly way better. The wait times are a hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get seated right away even on evenings or weekends but other times you'll be waiting for 40+ minutes. My go to is the classic bone broth SO delicious and tasty but I'd love to try other ones in the future. They have a wide variety of vegetables and different toppings as well. Their food is seriously amazing- only reason for my 4 stars is because their water is a little funky. I'd recommend ordering a different drink!

First time trying malatang When you come in theres a buffet to grab ingredients for your soup You have to get a table first before doing that Lots of ingredients The meat tasted kind of freezer burned so skip that and just load up on seafood Lots of seafood like shrimp squid scallops Theres a variety of fish balls I got the tom yum spicy broth which was delicious Takes awhile to get your foood cooked though - like 20 minutes The sauce bar was kind of messy but had a lot of ingredients to make the perfect sauce Parking is terrible in this plaza esp on a friday night They accept cc I would go back though but maybe when its not peak dinner time

This is my friends and I fave location and by far the BEST location. Doesn't compare to the other locations imho. The staff here nicer and more attentive to their customers here and much cleaner. The food has more option/variety and definitely more consistent in their sauces/soups. TBH, COMING HERE POST COACHELLA To whoever put on JB-- thank you haha. Our table was loving it esp me

My Wife has been into soups these past days and after trying YGF MALATANG I knew we were gonna come back here more than once. This place is build your own soup or stir-fry noodles. We tried both and both have amazing flavors. First step here is to get your bowl, then fill it up with noodles and ingredients you want for your soup or dry noodles then bring it up to the cashier, they will weigh in your bowl and the price is per pound, and that's how you know how much the total cost of what you need to pay. The price is $14.99 per pound. Then choose your Broth Flavor or your spiciness level for your broth or dry noodles. They will cook it and call you when it's ready. We already tried their Tomato flavor and Beef Bone broth base, you cant go wrong with either one, they are both delicious. Condiments were plenty to choose from, we always mix Peanuts and Oyster sauce, and another small bowl for minced garlic. Always with a line here when we visit but they are always quick to cook the food.

It's in a small strip mall and doesn't look like much from the outside. Not very big inside. Fortunately we arrived early as it continued to get busier while we were there... We got the "family deal" which was $18.50 per person and that included 1 entree each, soup, 1 egg roll, 2 fried shrimp and fried rice. We also added an order of chow mein. It was a LOT of food. We had a ton of leftovers. It'll probably get us another 1-2 meals each! I thought that was a great deal. My mom enjoyed it a lot (which was the goal and what mattered!). My husband and daughter enjoyed it as well. I'm not super into Chinese food but thought it was fine. (I actually prefer leftover cold Chinese food). One thing that stood out and I really liked was that they serve a plate of crunchy chow mein noodles to start. I haven't seen that in quite some time. We like dipping them in sweet and sour sauce; although I didn't care that much for theirs, it was very runny, I like a thicker consistency.

I lunched with a friend and shared two things: -moo shu chicken ($13.95) -salt & pepper tofu ($13.95) I've never had moo shu anything before and I am now a moo shu fan 4ever. Apparently the version here come pre-wrapped, but I didn't mind since I was a first timer. The wrapper functions a lot like a tortilla, but much more delicate. I like the mixture of chicken, wood ear mushrooms and cabbage maybe? Textually it's crunchy and I like that in the soft wrapper. The salt & pepper tofu is sautéed with jalapeños which give it a nice kick. It's not your classic version of the this dish because the tofu is cubed into bite sized pieces and tastes a little more peanut-y than salt and pepper-y, but I didn't mind it. It was great over white rice. L V is perfect for a quick Chinese fix. Lunch specials are just a bonus.

I absolutely loved the crispy bottom layer because it added such a satisfying crunch to every bite. The inside stayed really juicy and flavorful with a good balance of pork, shrimp, and chives. The Juicy Pork Dumplings had soup inside, which was rich and savory. I've had soup dumplings before where the wrapper breaks apart too easily, but these held together nicely while still staying soft and delicate. The Wonton in Spicy Sauce was my personal favorite from the entire meal. The spicy sauce flavor was savory with a little sweetness. I'm typically not good with spice, so this is at a spice level that should be very manageable for everyone. I absolutely loved the spicy sauce, so I started putting it on everything. Definitely put the sauce on the chicken fried rice! The Chicken Fried Rice was a great dish to pair with everything else that we ordered. With several orders of entrees, a solid rice dish is a must order for any Chinese meal. The rice had a nice savory flavor that I enjoyed, and there was a generous amount of chicken mixed throughout the dish. I even asked the waitress if they do anything special with the fried rice because it tasted better than many other restaurants. It felt comforting and balanced compared to some of the heavier dishes. The Dry Fried String Beans were cooked perfectly with a slight crispness while still being tender. The garlic and seasoning gave them so much flavor that it honestly didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables. I do have to note that these were very much on the salty side, so if you don't like foods that are too salty, I would choose a different dish. The Orange Chicken was really crispy and juicy, which I appreciated because soggy orange chicken is always disappointing to me. The sauce had a nice citrus flavor while still keeping that classic sweet savory taste. The Spring Rolls were simple with vegetable filling on the inside with a crispy outside. I would try a different appetizer next time. The Kung Pao Shrimp was packed with flavor and had a really satisfying combination of textures. The shrimp were tender, and the peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I thought the sauce had a really nice balance of spice and savoriness without becoming overwhelming. Another dish I really enjoyed was the Beef Roll Pancake. The pancake itself was nice and chewy throughout each bite. The sliced beef with green onions and sauce all wrapped together made every bite really flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked that the jasmine tea flavor was noticeable instead of being overly sweet like some milk teas can be. The boba had a soft chewy texture, and the drink itself paired perfectly with the spicy and savory dishes from the meal. Staff: All of the staff members were quick and friendly Ambiance: Indoor seating only. A good amount of parking in the parking lot that is shared with other shops in the plaza.
