Had a late lunch with a party of 4 and 2 dogs. We were able to sit outside as we were the only customers there. The server was friendly and fast and listed the house specials and lunch specials. We decided to order the chaat, tikka masala, kashmiri kofta and garlic naan. Each dish was tasty and not hot (ordered mild). The chaat was a new dish that I tried which had crispy balls in a cold yogurt sauce. Was interesting and unexpected but not sure I'd order it again. Overall decent restaurant for a quick lunch.

Good quality food but higher prices and small portions. We came on a Tues afternoon around 2 and we were the only ones in the restaurant. They have a parking lot in back which was nice. They have mostly indoor seating but they have a small outdoor patio that is dog friendly. We got the chaat, tikka masala, kashmiri kofta and garlic naan. I feel like everywhere does chaat a little differently but this was just alright for me. It was the little fried dough balls drenched in a sweet yogurt sauce. A little one note in texture and a bit sweet for me. Tikka was good but standard. Chicken was very tender. Kashmiri kofta was good and the dumplings were a nice size. A ricb, flavorful sauce. Garlic naan was good. Bread was very soft. While naan was extra I did like that they include a bowl of rice with the entrees. Service was friendly and fast.

Flavor Party in Little India, Artesia! If you're cruising through Artesia, you have to stop by Yantra. It's clean, cozy, and the food is a total vibe. We kicked things off with the Trio of Chicken Tikka. It's the perfect way to taste the "spectrum" of Indian flavors: * White: Creamy and mild. * Green: Fresh coriander zest. * Red: Classic bold spices. For the mains, the Chicken Makhni is a must-try. The tomato sauce is rich and perfectly seasoned. We paired it with Butter and Garlic Naan--super soft and the ultimate tool for scooping up every last drop of that sauce! Pro Tip: Come early to skip the line. It's the perfect spot to relax and fuel up.

What an experience. First time trying Indian food and the recommendations we got were 10/10. Where do I begin? RJ was absolutely amazing and recommended what we ate and we went for it. The music Playing was also very pleasant and had a good vibe. I'm not sure if the gentleman that came out as we ate was the Chef or owner, but he asked if everything was okay. He was so Nice and welcoming. We got mild spicy chicken and lamb plates. Omg it was absolutely delicious. The Garlic bread, likewhoa. That bread was so gooooood. We ordered some to go as well. Thank you for an awesome Food experience. We'll be back soon to try more dishes. 10/10 for sure. Thank You RJ for all you did for us today.

Good date spot for authentic tasting Indian food. There was parking in the back, went on a Sunday around 3:30 and there wasn't many people there. The place looked very nice and clean and greeted through the door (Sandhya), seated immediately. We ordered drinks, (3ea) Chardonnay for the wife and (3ea) Taj Mahal beer for myself, the beer was really good, refreshing. We had the: o Chicken Makhni (butter chicken) - Tender and juicy, the sauce was so good, had to soak it all up with the naan bread. o Garlic naan - Soft, warm and fresh doughy taste, looked right out of the brick oven. o Samosas - fried pillow of dough with meat and veggies, little kick. oCrispy cauliflower - lightly battered and fried, sweet sauce soft and juicy in the middle. o Trio of chicken tikka - Colorful to taste a bit of variety chicken flavors that they had, interesting flavors. I think that last one was the least of my favorites for the order, it was good, but just too much with for what we had ordered already. The waiter Raj was very attentive, and had good feedback on the dishes when asked about them. We ended up staying over an hour and having more drinks because the environment was cool and calm. A wonderful date and dinner for $150 bucks, cant go wrong. We will for sure be going back for more when we get the urge for Indian food. We went 6/1/2025, the following week was craving it again, but life happened. Hopefully we can get back there again soon, appreciate the hospitality Raj!

"Eat Good Indian Food. Eat Good Indian Food. Eat Good Indian Food." That's my mantra eating at Yantra. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&select=480CeKJH75hkhYNHg2mctQ Yantra Kitchen is a trendy, modern Indian restaurant, specializing in Punjabi cuisine. When I noticed Yantra's Lunch Specials, it gave the impetus to stop by and give them a try. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=48&select=WADewNaEmXTzcFsVTzRFIQ Papdi Chaat- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=qk7veTSPmnOpX3gFgQZKUQ Yantra's Papdi Chaat is one of their signature dishes, and I really enjoyed it. The chilled yogurt makes this dual purpose - as an appetizer or as dessert. The varying textures provided contrast with each bite. A bit sweet for my taste, but otherwise a charming way to start/end a meal. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=NRhLFnuagCZ6fUfKln8mZA Lamb Curry https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=zNzo2Zpk59eIP-VxAs_q1g Upon digging into the Lamb Curry, I developed a coughing fit. Why? Yantra's curry was more pungent, rich, and assertive than what I was expecting. Which is a good thing! A sip of water, and I went back into devouring this delicious plate of tender lamb. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA&start=0&select=VRvgy_GGihhqsdypr4vDHQ Service was good. The chef's son was attending to customers, and he was prompt & hospitable. Ample seating, inside & al fresco, the music playlist is quite good. Parking is via metered street parking in front, with a paid lot in the back. Yantra Kitchen also has a Chat Cart, selling enticing Indian street snacks. A tad pricier than other Indian eateries, Yantra Kitchen serves delicious food in a more upscale, yet homey environment. Their Lunch Specials are a great value to experience their menu, and I'm looking forward to coming back to exploring the rest of their entrees. Highly recommend!

Once upon a time, our group of Doctors within borders, celebrated Diwali here for dinner. We had chicken tikka masala, smoked eggplant, delicious naan, and rose lassi. All was wonderful! We enjoyed the restaurant's modern atmosphere, too. We will be back to try more of their splendid offerings. The end.

Good Indian food in a very modern restaurant. There is adequate parking behind (entry from 184th St). The space is very chic and modern, with an outdoor patio. The food is very good and service is okay. We started with Chicken Tikka Masala routine, which was excellent We had the cauliflower and Delhi 6 lamb curry, both of which were good. The Naan was very good. Definitely worth a visit, if you are in the area

Really great and flavorful food. We went on a Tuesday night and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Definitely a more upscale Indian restaurant in Little India but worth checking out. I like that they make an extra effort in plating the dishes. The waiter was nice and restaurant seemed clean. They had the large side window door open so lots of fresh air came into the restaurant, it was a pleasant experience.

This is a moderately fast casual Indian restaurant at the edge of Little India where there are seemingly an infinite number of places to choose from. Look no further. Parking is free in back down a rickshaw narrow alley. Good luck wedging the Duelly into a Compact Car Only space. While it feels like a fast casual spot it took a while to get the Crew up and running or at least trotting, but once everyone came to life Yantra was pleasantly efficient. You'll soon get used to the thumpin' loop and Dream Chaos and Ben Plum instead of the Bollywood version of Kars For Kids is manageable. The Decor is scant and has that dining in the Airport Terminal feel to it, but then you came for the good food and the convenience of being close to the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. So, settle in anywhere you like and study the menu. There will be questions. (Pass over the Pizza and Pasta, and stick to the Indian fare) The Staff: Now that you've jump started the Server and the Busser dinner just flows. The friendly, helpful, extended family is at your service. The Food: Surprisingly good. Everything is basically made to order. No 55 gallon drum of Chicken Tikka Masala on simmer and waiting for the ladle here. Let's begin with the Go Goa Coconut Curry which is an ample sample of how well this kitchen can bring it. Boneless, Skinless Chicken in a deep pool of Sauce made with Coconut Milk, Curry Leaves, Ground Spices (Cumin, Coriander, Mustard Seed and Asafaetida which is dried sap from the Ferula Plant tasting of Onion and Garlic). Pick a protein (Chicken, Lamb, Shrimp or a Fish if you wish or maybe a Vegetable instead to grace the Sauce). This dish comes with a mound of Plain White Basmati Rice which is always a good idea if you want it hot hot hot as in Molecular Acid eating through the bowl and the table. The Go Goa Sauce is rich, complex and addictive. I'm no wimp but the medium spice level had my eyebrows, hair, and toes sweating like a borrowed mule in a hurry from the curry. This dish easily made the Gotta Go Back and Have It Again List. So, right now, it's time for some soothing, cooling Raita (Greek Yogurt, Cucumber, Garam Masala) to plop on your almost gone Go Goa. Time to hail Mahi and ask for Garlic Naan to push things around with. Alas, the Naan fell flat. It happens. No puffy pillow to be split and stuffed with stuff. Just take this Naan, roll it up like the Tortilla it resembles, and blot up the nearest Sauce that's played hard to get even if it's on someone else's table. Making friends is nice. Yellow Dal Tadka (Lentils) was comforting comfort food. It did what Comfort Food is supposed to do. Remind you of languid nights at the small Formica kitchen table in your Dadi Aman's apartment eating like a Rajah. This bowl of Lentils was as warm and thick as your tongue on a cool first date. The Lentils maintained their Lentil integrity and the Sauce stood on it's own and was not merely a dip from the One Sauce Fits All Vat, which is the bane of many Indian restaurants. Shortly after you tucked into whatever you ordered the house sends out some Mango Pickles. Bitter, sweet, pungent, and hot. This condiment shows Pataks Lime Pickle bottled factory made version how it's done. The hostess swung by and set down a little bowl of Mango Chutney just because she was genuinely friendly, naturally nice and she thought I secretly wanted it. I did. It was Mango Marmalade, unabashedly sweet without being cloying, treacly, or overly sugary. It was just right, provided balance to the spicy food on the table, and was a perfect compliment to add to a spoon of Curry or Dal. Finally, the Baingar Bharta which were chunks of Smoked Eggplant, grilled directly over hot Charcoal and or Honey, let's get engaged close to the open flames on the stove top. Either way this dish was the highlight. A hint of Smoke and redolent of Eggplant. No chewy skin to deal with made this dish pure Eggplant magic. So, "I'm Goa'n back to Yantra" is my mantra.

A group of us came here for lunch on a Saturday, & it was not busy. Hubby & I had Garlic Naan, Samosa, Chicken Biryani & Shrimp Tikka Masala. Everything was fresh & delicious. Portion was generous, & the shrimps were huge. The flavor was not overwhelming like some Indian restaurants. The Mango Lassi was perfectly sweet. Everyone really enjoyed their food, & we had leftover from our entrees. Service was friendly & attentive. The server/owner proactively disclosed their popular dishes & made recommendations. My only complaint is that they wouldn't offer a bowl of rice to each diner. We had to share & finish before more rice was provided. Parking is available in the back.

There's plenty of parking in the back, making it a hassle-free spot to visit. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the rich, inviting aroma of Indian spices, setting the tone for a truly authentic dining experience. The interior is bright, open, and impeccably clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, answering all our questions with patience and warmth. We came as a group of friends, ready to indulge in a feast, and the food did not disappoint. Here's what we ordered: Tandoori Prawns: Absolutely delicious--unlike anything I've tried before. Papadi Chaat: A must-have classic! The flavors exploded in my mouth--sweet, spicy, tangy--with a perfect balance of crunchy textures. Pakodas: How could we resist? These vegetable fritters were perfectly crispy, paired with chutney and tamarind sauce that complemented them beautifully. Schezwan Stir-Fry Paneer: A surprising combination for me, but it was delightfully flavorful and satisfying. For the main course, we shared three curries along with naan and rice. The rice was served complimentary--a generous and thoughtful gesture that reflected true Indian hospitality. Baigan Bharta: This eggplant curry was incredibly rich and delicious, with deep, smoky flavors. Lamb Curry: The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked, without any gaminess. The curry itself was flavorful and balanced. Chicken Makhani: Creamy, indulgent, and delicious. The chicken was tender, and the curry was smooth and comforting. Though they have a bar, we opted for mango lassi instead, which was creamy and had the perfect mango flavor. As someone who knows Indian food intimately--having grown up eating it, cooking it, and visiting India often--I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors were authentic, bold, and reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Importantly, the food wasn't overly spicy in heat but was rich with layers of complex spices. I strongly advise anyone visiting to avoid adjusting the spice levels, as doing so can take away from the essence of Indian cuisine. We also did try the cheese naan, pairs well with all the curry. This place truly felt like a slice of home for me, and I can't wait to come back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend!

The most disappointing and inedible dish of all was the trenette with pesto. While the pasta tasted home made the pesto was the too-often-seen-in-American-restaurants pesto cream soup and pretty flavorless (we all agreed that it wasn't even salted properly). My friend who had the ravioli bolognese was satisfied and reported that the ravioli were homemade. The eggplant parmigiano was ok in that the eggplant was properly cooked but not particularly tasty. It came with a side of overcooked rehydrated penne that was like mush. The service was not horrible. Our server was polite but unwilling to split two entrees. She did bring us a couple of little plates. Given that one of the entrees was the pesto, there ended up being no need because that dish was so awful that we each tried one bite and wanted nothing to do with it. This is when a suburb server would notice that it hadn't hardly been touched and apologize and comp it. No such offer or apology. I would never go back!

We didn't have reservations, so we expected a wait. The restaurant was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. We ordered the truffle garlic bread, spicy rigatoni vodka, squid ink tonnarreli and a pizza with half The Pig and half hot honey prosciutto. Spicy Rigatoni Vodka - 4/5 The dish was delicious, and you could definitely tell the pasta was handmade. It wasn't spicy at all to me, but I also have a pretty high spice tolerance. I do wish it had more meat, and the portion size felt a little small. I was shocked to find out it was nearly 2,000 calories for the amount served. Squid Ink Tonnarreli - 5/5 This was probably my favorite dish of the night. It was rich, savory, and really flavorful. I'd never had squid ink pasta before, although I've had Filipino squid cooked in squid ink many times. The dish came with squid, shrimp, and a spicy tomato-based sauce. We asked for it mild, but I honestly think it would've been even better spicy. The portion size was good too. Pizza - 3/5 Since they make handmade pasta, I assumed the pizza dough would be amazing, but it was just average. Parts of the crust were a little burnt. The Pig (their all-meat pizza) was okay but slightly too salty for me. The hot honey prosciutto side was better, although they were pretty light on the toppings. I probably wouldn't order pizza here again. Truffle Garlic Bread - 4/5 Really good, but overpriced at $18.50 for 9 small square pieces. The bread was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and very buttery. Customer Service - 5/5 Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and explained the menu really well. I appreciated that she mentioned the spice levels could be adjusted on certain dishes. She also refilled my iced tea without me having to ask and even brought me a to-go cup for it. Overall, we had a good experience. The food was solid, and the service was great. However, the portions felt a bit small for the price, especially compared to similar restaurants, and I was surprised they didn't offer complimentary bread. I'm glad I tried it, but I'm not sure if I'd go back regularly.

Located in the same space at Bakers and Baristas, the restaurant was flipped into Luka in the evening hours. Dimly lit for a romantic vibe, the ambiance was warm yet approachable. What initially drew me to Luka was seeing photos of their Chicken Liver Mousse! The mousse itself is rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious! It comes on a croissant with a seasonal fruit compote (ours was blueberry). It's also so gorgeous! A dish that truly tasted as good as it looks. The next dish we had was the Grilled Oyster Mushrooms. These completely blew us away! Something about the use of agrodolce, garlic, fennel pollen, chili powder, and red harissa made the flavor so savory and complex. I've never had mushrooms prepared in this way before. I will really miss these! We also had the Brussel Sprouts with pork jus glaze, chicharron, scallion, and fresno. I really enjoyed the different textures from the ingredients, including the crunch from the chicharrons. We had to get one of their signature dishes, the Potato Situation! Crispy on the outside with potato and melted provolone on the inside, they give a very generous portion of parmigiano reggiano and chive dust on top. Such a fun dish to cut into! For our last dish, we got the Crab Pasta. It came with fusilli, a rich cream sauce, capers, and calabrian toasted panko--a great ending to the meal! I really enjoyed my meal here and hope that there will be plans to open up Luka again one day!

Very delicious, though the menu and flavors aren't particularly inspired. Hamachi crudo was excellent and probably my favorite of the night. Great zesty flavor, fresh fish. Beef tartare was very standard fare, albeit with a huge mound of chives (which I did enjoy). Portion sizes for both were bigger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. If you're not that hungry, the appetizers here are sort of filling. As for the crab pasta: I liked it, but it's filled in with mainly shredded crab. I ended up taking it home and adding some frozen lobster tail, and that made it feel a tad more complete. Overall: Great for a casual but chic dinner.

The best Italian in Bellflower, hands down! :)…read more I ordered the baked manicotti and was quite impressed, perfectly flavored and properly cooked! Their garlic bread and mozzarella sticks were phenomenal as well! The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were wanting for nothing. The place has a good amount of indoor seating, and a huge covered outdoor area in back, and the place is immaculate - clean and well lit. In all we'll certainly be back.

We went to have dinner at Ricci's Italian in Bellflower a little while ago…read more Nice house salad (9/10) with wonderful italian dressing (9/5/10) and vegetable minestrone soup with small pasta (8.5/10), which adults and kids enjoyed. Our entrees included Chicken parmigiana (8/10), veal parmigiana (7/10) , and bacon carbonara with shrimp (8/10), quite rich and creamy, but not goopy. All quite good. Nice that they have Peroni on tap, tasted fairly fresh (8/10). Veal cutlet portion felt a little undersized but chicken was hearty, and red sauce (both marinara and meat sauce) are deep red, slightly thick and pasty...not a light sauce. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, except for the end (when we suffered a accidental water spill and had to mop it uo ourselves). Garlic bread (6/10) was pale and had no taste of garlic: just butter, salt and pepper. At least it tasted fresh and warm. We had spumoni (9/10) and tiramisu (6/10) for dessert. Enjoyed the spumoni but I would skip tiramisu when coming back: beautifully presented but all the art was on the plate, instead of in the flavor of the tiramisu. Ricci's has been around since 1944. But from the outside and inside, you wouldn't guess that. The building seems pretty modern, as well as the interior, a somewhat classic upscale vibe. I really want to like this place (I have a fondness for historic dining) and I look forward to coming back to try the sandwiches and the pizza, both of which look good.

Cheesy , melty pizzas and pastas--with a subtle yet flavorful Indian twist. Yes, that's a curry base you're seeing... and no, it's not too salty or overpowering. It's the best of both worlds Here's what I tried: - Fettuccini vodka pasta (By far my favorite of all the items I ordered. Loved the al dente noodles and creamy pink sauce) - Pizza Indo Farm House with chicken - Cheese makhni pizza (a twist on a classic margherita) They've been open for five months, tucked on Pioneer Blvd with a cozy little bar for dine-in. Perfect for a quick bite or easy takeaway. Bonus : They're on Uber Eats with $10 off $25 (unlimited!) until May 31, 2025.

From my first outreach, Adriana was very responsive and helpful. We reserved the date and time, and then Adriana helped us decide on a menu which included appetizers, pasta dishes, salad, meatballs, dessert and more. They also offered a full bar for the luncheon. We were able to do all the planning, etc. over the phone. The day of the luncheon, we arrived early and were greeted by Christian who was our main contact. He brought two extra tables into the room so we could set up photo displays, and quickly and seamlessly reacted when our headcount went from 30 people to 36 just minutes before guests were scheduled to arrive. In addition to Christian, Benji and Alondra ensured the comfort of our guests by offering drinks, refills, quick clean-up of table settings as we moved to the next meal offering, and many other kindnesses. Our guests commented not only on the beautiful room and the food, but on the friendliness and professionalism of the crew. A'Roma's private room is beautiful, and the afternoon was truly amazing. What a great place and a great way to celebrate the life of our mother. A BIG "thank you!" from my family to Adriana, Christian, Benji, Alondra, and the entire kitchen team.

Fast forward to today and things are much better. The one constant is Marino's is still a nice place to eat. My understanding is they changed ownership in the past couple years. You would not be able to tell. The service is still outstanding as is the food. The new owners have not missed a beat. Recently we celebrated my 93 year old father in law's second retirement. We had a group of 9 which the staff dealt with really well. I had the pasta with artichoke hearts. I should order something else sometime, but it is so good. That dish has been consistent for the 40+ years I have eaten here. So has everything else.

What really surprised me is how Marino's manages to get that same warm, buttery, nostalgic flavor that I was loving the garlic bread that they used to sold in Ralph's on Wardlow Rd Long Beach, California in the 2011, but still make it feel like their own thing. It's honestly kind of cool that a place in Bellflower can remind me so much of a restaurant all the way in Ventura, especially since I wasn't expecting that at all when I first tried it. On top of that, the rest of the food matches the same level of comfort and quality. Every dish feels like it was made with actual care, and as someone who's still figuring out what my favorite Italian foods even are, it's fun to try things here because everything ends up tasting way better than I expect. The service also makes the whole experience even better, because everyone treats you like you're a regular even if it's your first time walking in. It gives the place this friendly, welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back again without even thinking about it. The atmosphere is another thing I really like, because it feels relaxed in a way that makes it easy to enjoy your food without feeling rushed. It's the kind of place where you can sit with your family or friends and just enjoy being there while eating something really good. Overall, Marino's Italian Restaurant in Bellflower, California, is one of those spots that ends up sticking in your mind, especially when something as simple as their garlic bread can bring back memories from another city while still feeling totally unique to this place.
