First the most important part, the food. It's average but the presentation was killer. We had the italian samosas (interesting) and the papdi chaat. The flavor and texture weren't anything crazy outstanding, but i did appreciate the proper plating. The workers were running, although they were understaffed. This dish was my favorite of all. It reminded me of a fajita. It's such a healthy and delicious dish!!! I loved the LIMA beans the most. I have trouble digesting certain foods can easily give me heartburn or bloating but, the Lima beans really helped my digestion instantly!!! PANI PURI: 9/10 What a great way to start a meal! It was this crunchy goodness! I loved the crispness and the light and airy texture. One point of because the sauce leaks so make sure to EAT it and POUR the SAUCE on a plate!!!! MASALA DOSA: 10/10 It was like a large crispy crepe filled with potatoes! I loved the taste and texture. The side dishes really complimented this dish so well. Jai Bharat is always my preferred spot for a quick Indian Meal (Its a vegetarian only place though). Its got variety of Indian Snacks , Sweets , Thalis and is a delight for those craving Indian Veg food. I had 2 plates of Pani puri and requested for my protein (sprouted moong and black beans) to be on the side, which they very graciously and gracefully served me without any hesitations or constraints like the other Indian restaurants in Artesia!! They didn't even charge extra like other restaurants !!!! Mr.Meet Thanvi and Rajvi Patel were also very hospitable and friendly cashiers/hosts. I'd give them a 10/10 rating and will always be going back only to Jay Bharat for all of the above !!! The service stood out too: fantastic waitress, plus multiple staff members helping bring out food and clear tables, which made everything feel smooth and attentive. Hands down the best thali and faluda in Artesia. Jay Bharat is also a South Asian institution by now. I've been coming here for years and years and the quality has not diminished. The puris are fluffy, the vegetables succulent and spiced just right. Dal rice pickle and papads round out the platter. I usually get the mini thali which is plenty, but sometimes if you're in the mood for the delicious saffron sweetness of srikhand or the syrup soaked gulab jamun, get the full on Gujarati thali. The more rustic roti shak is very satisfying if you're on a health kick. Sharing a lively crunchy yogurty cool chaat to start is a must! And don't leave without jelebis and laddoos! I was really looking forward to their opening and decided to stop by over the Diwali weekend. The new place is large and really nicely done. It was good to see some of the familiar faces. I ordered the usual kathiawadi Thalia and was really surprised to see that their famous undhiyu was oily and didn't have the traditional ingredients. The yam was uncooked. Me & my family were excited to come for the remodeling. However, we were very disappointed in food quality. This is a place we have been coming to for at least 10 years. We ordered 4 crispy dosas and they all came out extremely soft as seen in picture I took. Crispy means crunchy and brown. We asked them to remake one to be crispy as we ordered it & guess what...they placed the same old dosa back onto the grill instead of making a new one!!!!! We love their mango lassis, but to our surprise they ran out at 3pm. Wow! Food wasn't the same as before taste wise. Chutneys barely had any flavor and were very much watery. I have gone several times in the last month including today and their Kathiyawadi thali is wonderful as is their pain puri, dahi sev puri and masala dosa. I gave kudos to a restaurant who put efforts to make dishes vegan. Especially for a vegetarian restaurant like this which most of the time to make things vegan are just taking a few easy steps. We enjoyed their Gujarati Thali and dosas. Their dessert Kaju Katli was veganized without milk or ghee. Their Dhokla is so soft and yummy. Love it!!! And let me tell you, the Dabeli hittt the spotttt!
