    Two Sabji and two Rotla.

Great Gujarati food. Nice regular sound Indian music. Lots of people talking and enjoying the food. Food is brought to table. The two sabzi and two Rotla plate comes with jas and papad.

Long-time patrons of Jay Bharat, a vegetarian restaurant, but I promise you'll find everything delicious and satisfying. From the pani puri to a full Thali, there's something on the menu for everyone. Plus, they have a daily specials board. They provide quick, efficient service; the staff is friendly; and there is plenty of seating for groups.

Jai Bharat is always my preferred spot for a quick Indian Meal (Its a vegetarian only place though). Its got variety of Indian Snacks , Sweets , Thalis and is a delight for those craving Indian Veg food. Ordering process is quick (you order on the counter and food gets delivered to the table) and service is quick and efficient. They have remodeled the place extensively and ambience is very good for an Indian Fast food restaurant. I highly recommend their Chaats, Thalis and their sweets. In fact ,I like almost everything on the their menu !

2 of the world Pani puri orders with all the special protein on the side

Once again, lunch at Jay Bharat was over and beyond for their overall exceptional food quality, friendly service and cleanliness!!!!! I had 2 plates of Pani puri and requested for my protein (sprouted moong and black beans) to be on the side, which they very graciously and gracefully served me without any hesitations or constraints like the other Indian restaurants in Artesia!! They didn't even charge extra like other restaurants !!!! Mr.Meet Thanvi and Rajvi Patel were also very hospitable and friendly cashiers/hosts. I'd give them a 10/10 rating and will always be going back only to Jay Bharat for all of the above !!! And unlike other Indian restaurants they also make sure that all the tips are shared amongst their staff, once again, which the other Indian restaurants are not good about !!!

Good food, great Ambience, a bit on the pricier side. Overall very good. Staff is amazing keeps the place amazingly clean and well organized. If you miss true home made food definitely go there. The Gujarati thali was bang on!! The cheese naan was surprisingly soft and delicious, the radga pattice needed some work but decent. Note: most of the menu pictures here are of the old prices. They have increased, just something to keep in mind.

Jai Bharat Restaurant is definitely a busy spot, and it's easy to see why -- the pricing is very cheap and reasonable. We ordered quite a variety: two paneer tikka variations, cheese dosa, aloo dosa, cheese naan, Italian samosas, and vada pav. Overall, the food quality matches the price point, which makes it a solid place if you're just looking to grab a quick snack rather than a full, high-quality dining experience. Some items stood out more than others, but nothing was particularly memorable. That said, for what you're paying, it's fair. The new revamped space looks nice and is a definite upgrade, making the overall experience more enjoyable. Even though I'm giving this a 3-star review, I'll continue to dine here. With that being said, there's definitely room for improvement -- especially in food quality. I wouldn't mind seeing slightly higher prices if it meant better consistency and flavor. Good spot for a quick bite, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way for a top-tier meal.

They are finally open!! Its now double the size and they have more staff. Prices are not available until you get to the POS. Decor is really nice and personalized.

    Mini thali

Hands down the best thali and faluda in Artesia. Jay Bharat is also a South Asian institution by now. I've been coming here for years and years and the quality has not diminished. The puris are fluffy, the vegetables succulent and spiced just right. Dal rice pickle and papads round out the platter. I usually get the mini thali which is plenty, but sometimes if you're in the mood for the delicious saffron sweetness of srikhand or the syrup soaked gulab jamun, get the full on Gujarati thali. The more rustic roti shak is very satisfying if you're on a health kick. Sharing a lively crunchy yogurty cool chaat to start is a must! And don't leave without jelebis and laddoos! All so worth it and the recent renovation only transports you instantly to an airy chaat house in India!

Mini Thali with undhiyu and kaju corn; yum!
    Jennifer H.

As with many options in Little India, this place did not disappoint. I ordered the mini thali with undhiyu and kaju corn as well as pani puri. I loved the dip that comes with papdi; it was so flavorful and delicious. I also tried the paneer tikka; that was also delicious! In general, the food was tasty; I would definitely come back. The pani puri was also solid...not the best I've had but still quite tasty!

Went here to get some Indian food. Got a masala and garlic dosa. Taste okay abit blank. The sambar was good and clean facility with good set up. Good for them vegetarian homies. No meat.service good but napkins and utensil too cheap. Owner should spend abit more on the utensils and water cups as they were flipped mouth piece down easily contamination.

Renovated place is beautiful with lots of seating. Food was great with variety to choose from everything tasted fresh. I love undhiyu & puri & avocado bh!

    Our new favorite! Bhal.

Once upon a time, we started our progressive Diwali celebration here. We enjoyed the Bhal dish. It was terrific! Perfect amount of chutney with a tremendous crunch! We loved it! The samosas were equally good. We will be back! We really liked the new, updated look, too! The end.

She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her excellent service made our first visit even more enjoyable. The food was incredible! I ordered the Chicken Korma, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, with tender chicken in every bite. The meal came with fluffy basmati rice, warm fresh naan, flavorful chickpeas, yogurt, and pickled onions that complemented everything perfectly. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine with outstanding service, Curry Lounge is definitely worth a visit. We will absolutely be back and can't wait to try more of the menu. Thank you, Pawan, for making our first experience so memorable!

7/21/2026 Second…read moretime here! Ordered take out via phone order. Found their phone number and menu on Google and Google Reviews. Curry Lounge posted their full menu there. AMRITSARI KULCHA First time trying this type of flat bread. It is a North Indian stuffed flat bread. Originated from Amritsar, Punjab. It is a favorite street food. This is usually eaten with Chole, a spicy chickpea curry. The amitsari kulcha had mostly mashed potatoes and some paneer cheese. Various herbs in it, lots of herbs in it. It took me a bit to adjust to the herbacious flavors. This was reheated in the toaster oven until slightly crispy and it was delicious! You must reheat before you eat! This went really well with the Punjabi Butter Chicken I ordered. SAMOSA Flaky dough stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas. Delicious and this was my second time ordering it! I think this will be my go to place for potato samosas! And yes, reheat in toaster oven before consumption! PUNJABI BUTTER CHICKEN A popular Indian dish originating in Punjab. Tender chicken pieces in tomato-based sauce with butter and cream. Chicken marinated in spiced yogurt mix and cooked in a tandoor and grilled. The chicken has different pieces, such as legs, thighs and breast meat. All have bones in them. But there were about 4-5 pieces of chicken. They ask for your preference of spice levels, so I got medium spice. It was spicy! Spice lingers on your tongue and in your stomach too! Made my own basmati rice at home, so did not order it, but you definitely need the basmati rice to soak up all the flavors of the butter chicken! So delicious to eat with the aromatic, sweet basmati rice! This was also delicious with flat bread, but I absolutely loved it with basmati rice. NAAN (PLAIN) Wanted naan, so I ordered it plain. This was not oily and you can taste the ghee. The naan wasn't even in thickness. Parts of the naan that were thinner were crispy and thicker were fluffy and soft. It had very little herbs, so it had a clean, ghee flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE Staff who took my order over the phone was kind, patient and spoke clearly and slowly. He made sure that my order was correct. All my orders were received and well packaged with saran wrap to ensure the food stays hot and does not spill. They even added utensils too, which I appreciate. My food was not fully prepared at the set time, however, they gave me a courtesy call to let me know. But I let them know it wasn't a big deal because I was also running late. Lol. Location is far from where I live, but if I am in the area, I am definitely returning! Delicious food, good service all around! A very happy customer! Cannot wait to try new dishes in the near future!

Let me tell you, the staff before was fine, but this staff now is excellent. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great food in a pleasant atmosphere…read more The hubby and I came to meet up with another couple for a weekend lunch. When we got there at 11:30 it was quite empty, but by the time we left it was nearly full--a popular spot, and we could see why. We were rather pleasantly surprised at how upscale it looked in here--all cloth napkins, white tablecloths, and a recently renovated-looking interior with lots of dark wood. There were lots of options on their lunch special menu, which they even have on the weekends, and even more on their regular menu. I had the paneer tikka masala lunch special and the hubby had the saag paneer lunch special. All the lunch specials come with rice, salad greens, lentil soup, naan, a mini samosa (on attractive metal serving ware), along with self serve coffee and chai. At $16.95 as of this writing, we thought it was a great deal. The hubby and I shared our food and thought it was very good overall. I thought the saag was a touch too salty but it didn't mean I hated it. They do serve alcohol here, although we didn't imbibe on our visit. As for parking, they have a small front parking lot and a larger back lot (which we weren't aware of until our friends told us). If you want good Indian food with very attentive service in a slightly upscale setting, this is a good choice.

The butter chicken is my favorite, I know it's the most basic b Indian food but everything I've tried has been awesome. Sangeetha's cooking has made me ok with trying some vegetarian food when I thought I'd never like any non meat-centric dish. Swing by, try something new or enjoy something old. Relevant - it's not super spicy, but that's ok to me, it's more accessible to people that might be turned off by excessive spice - I have some scorpion pepper powder that I add to bring the heat, and it doesn't hurt the flavor that I've come to love. They're not open Mondays, but hey - she deserves time off! A suggestion if I may - grab an extra bowl of butter chicken alongside whatever else you get, and throw a fried egg or two on top the next morning for breakfast. DOES NOT HAVE BANANAS! As a professional simian that is of note, but not a negative ;) There are random snacks I've never seen before, I've tried a few and have been happy with what I've sampled. The bottles of mango lassi are super tasty and for me, it helps my heartburn.

I probably will not be returning, but it wasn't bad. I think non-south Asians would really like it. Edit: I was going to delete my review, but I got a private message from the owner with a ton of attitude, asking me to take this down, but I don't feel like that's ethical. I don't think three stars is bad. So just to restate. The food is not bad. But I'm not going to take this review down because I don't feel like it's appropriate for the owner to message you privately with an attitude and try to strong-arm you into taking down the review. I have left plenty of reviews about restaurants in Little India, and not once as anybody messaged me with the tone that you have used with me. So I'm leaving it up. Live and learn. Edit: I got a notification that the owner continued to add to her comment, so to answer her questions, I don't remember what I got because it was several months ago, but I remember that it was just okay. It wasn't bad but your approach to dealing with your customers is. I don't think that Yelp has the option of messaging people so you can come at them with a shitty attitude and strong-arm them into trying to change their review. You're honestly just making yourself look worse.
