The yogurt runs on the sour side, making the chole less spicier. Highly recommend this spot with the stylish uncle chopping cilantros, asking if the food is good. We got the Stuffed Punjabi (potato) and chicken Frankie. Pros - the Frankie was pretty good. Came out wrapped in foil super duper hot. I had to wait several minutes before I got started. It was my 1st time trying one and I liked it. I believe it's the same chicken they use for the tikka masala (may not be) but if it is it isn't as sweet as other places I've tried. Nonetheless it was good and a nice size. Easily big enough for one person. My wife got the Punjabi plate that came with chicken. We have been here countless number of times in the last 6 years since we first discovered this gem. Their food remains amazing and they make it fresh in front of you. Love the service and quality of the food. The owner and the chef are warm and welcoming. This place is so good!! My wife found it on the best Indian places to eat in Artesia. We particularly were looking for good paratha and this place delivered! The service was friendly and they were patient to explain some of the items since I have limited knowledge of the cuisine. It's a casual restaurant where you order at the counter and find a table. We ended up getting the Aloo Paratha with Dhaba Chicken and the Amritsari Kulcha which comes with chickpeas. Both were amazing, flavorful, and slightly spicy. I enjoyed the Amritsari Kulcha more since it had some garlic and more spices. The Dhaba Chicken was good but a little too boney and not enough chicken. I can almost say that my long time search for an authentic dhaba style food is finally over. We ordered the following items, Chole Bhatura, Amristari Kulcha, Lacha Paratha, Paneer Paratha, Kadhi Chawal, Dhaba Chicken, Paneer Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi, Falooda, Paneer Burji Frankie. The Amristari Kulcha had rave reviews and it was pretty good. Every single paratha item was super fresh and authentic. Paneer paratha had the right amount of flavor and taste and the kids loved it. Would have loved the boondhi raitha, but seemed like they didnt have boondhi that day. The Dhaba Chicken curry tasted great as well, so was the Paneer tikka masala. Because we ordered these curries as part of the Combo along with Paratha, the quantity of the curry was small. If you are planning to share it with others, may be it wouldn't be enough. The chole bhatura was on spot as well. The falooda tasted ok nothing great and compared to the cost it is not worth it in my opinion. Mango Lassi was just ok as well. The Paneer Burji was yummy and huge. We ordered most of the items with Mild or Medium spice level. Glad we stuck to it and didn't order anything spicy, the kids wouldn't be able to eat. My complain is about the setup of the restaurant, it is a very basic setup nothing fancy or fine dining about it. I mean if you are purely coming for the food and authenticity alone you wouldn't mind how the restaurant looks. So you have to make a choice depending on the occasion. Also, serving food on plastic plates, spoons etc always throws me off. Especially when we are dining in, we expect it to be better cutleries. Something the owner should think about. But as I said in the beginning, I was looking for authentic Parathas Dhaba style and I found them here and I am satisfied. My husband and I were just talking over the makai Ki roti and saag and Punjabi kulcha that this is the best food in Artesia. It's fresh and everything done is in front. It's not fine dining but it's great for an after shopping meal. You can call ahead so they can have your order ready. We ordered the lunch combo of chicken tikka masala which came with basmati rice and naan, a main entree of chicken korma that also came with basmati rice, and we ordered garlic naan on the side. The meal with tip included was around $37 and was very filling yet satisfying. I especially enjoyed the chicken tikka which did not have any bones and was juicy and not dry. The garlic naan was very flavorful and made fresh. Everything we ordered was made to order and fresh tasting. Came here one day after shopping around the area, this was on a must try list so we thought we lucked out since we were right next door. The store is located in strip mall with a shared parking lot. The staff was friendly and very patient with our question. The store itself was clean but a bit dated. We order samosas, chicken Frankie (basically an Indian burrito), panner paratha, chicken tikka masala and palak panner. All to go. The samosas were horrible. They were rock hard and couldn't really eat it. One bite and almost lost a tooth kinda hard. Not sure what happened. The chicken in the Frankie and chicken tikka still had chucks of fat still on them. Making it really chewy and gross. This isn't steak, chicken shouldn't have fat on it especially boneless. Palak panner was good a saving grace. The chicken tikka masala was okay. The naan that came with it was so flat it was more like a thick tortilla. The frankie was mid but won't recommend it. Lastly the paratha, the name sake of the the business was meh. Nothing really special about it. Wished it tasted amazing like the pictures I saw but nope.
