Delicious food! We got a platter to share with 3 people and the garlic naan & Baigan Bharta eggplant curry. Favorites were definitely the Baigan Bharta and garlic naan. They were so flavorful. The platter had 3 different curries, several breads and sauces to dip them in. I loved how they all had distinct flavors. Definitely had lots of leftovers afterwards that we packed to go! Service was quick, and we were able to get seated quickly. We parked on the street in front (parking free on Sundays woo).

Fantastic Indian restaurant with lots of options. The most popular item is the Thali, a whole bunch of different items made for a great personal meal. The variety of flavors is authentic and satisfying. The restaurant is fully vegetarian. The staff are friendly and interior is very clean.

Terrible service! Grumpy waiter took our order after a long wait. We asked for dessert that didn't have nuts as that's what he came for and he said everything had nuts - what a restaurant in California that doesn't offer nut free options?! We got an unsympathetic "sorry" but on further inspection of the menu there were ice creams that were but free that could've been suggested. We ordered chaat. Sev puri and pani puri were too similar. Sev puri was not on flattened puris. Kulfi faluda was not in a glass as expected but served as ice cream. Not greeted when we walked in or left! Walls are decorated nicely. Honestly the awful service is off-putting. Makes me wonder about the high rating on Yelp.

Friends recommendation on trying one of top 101 LA restaurants of 2023. The area is house of other Indian/vegetarian restaurants. Parking is free exactly in front but just for the first hour. Inside is inviting and the decor is Indian. Did I forgot to mention this restaurant is Indian/vegetarian? Mainly because most of the dishes are vegetarian. Spices are mild but can be spicy upon special request. There's several options of curry but all does not come with rice. Each customer is given a small bottle of water Order Maharja platter (most popular item), kadahi paneer (one of most popular curries) but request to be super spicy, garlic naan, pyaz kachori appetizer. The platter is huge for one person because it comes with three different curries and various of dishes while one plate has a dessert (according to the server). The kadahi pannier has onions, peppers and tofu and looks spicy when request to be super spicy. It's spicy enough to tickle your throat but not enough to burn you if you love spicy food. The kachori appetizer is fried, comes with two different sauces and has savory flavor. Overall, if you like Indian and vegetarian, recommend on trying this out

One of my favorite places in Cerritos in the little india area . They are only authentic rajasthani food. They have gatte ki sabzi . They gluten free bajra and makhi ki roti. Do the thali for the experience its amazing two people can easily share it . The kachoris were good . Service is good attentive and will suggest . It's clean their kitchen is small and weekends get super busy . Love the fact they are using recycled paper trays.

This was my first time going down to Bhooke but it will definitely not be my last. It is located next-door to a restaurant I visit very often (Udupi Palace) for South Indian food. Bhooke is Rajasthani based north Indian food but also has a selection of fusion Indian Chinese dishes. I didn't get to try those this time I will next time because I will be definitely eat here again. You could tell the ingredients were high-quality and that everything was freshly made. Everything was very flavorful without being oily or heavy. For example one of the dishes we got was Shahi paneer which can be very very rich but this had all of the flavor but the sauce had a lighter almost mousse-like texture...it was really delicious. There was a group of five of us for lunch, we got four appetizers, three main dishes, rice and bread. And split between the five of us came to $19.30 a person . The gentleman who served us was very nice and attentive but also very calm we never felt rushed and in fact we had to ask for the check they weren't trying to get us out of there to get the table. And they had a nice circulation of people coming in without it being overbearing. I didn't even realize they had Bollywood on the television in the background because there was no blaring music while we were there it was either very low or muted. It was just a delightful lunch and I look forward to returning.

My second time here and opted not to do the LAT review items. I am not a Kachori Chat person so will just say not my thing. I ordered the Palak Paneer and it was very good. The 'cheese' cubes were large and the spinach curry flavorful and creamy. My friend's Baigan Bharta was smoky as advertised and not my thing however the spice kick was great. My garlic naan was awful. It seemed like it had been warmed up. Reheated with a fresh coating of garlic oil. Blah. I suggest that management develop a new method of providing water to folks. The little tiny bottles are not large enough and environmentally a negative. They can get delivery in big bottles and serve water out of pitchers like other places. The small bottles do not encourage me to order traditional Indian drinks as they are just too caloric for me and then I would order less food.

My husband and I came to Bhookhe on a Sunday night in late October. I'd found Bhookhe while browsing Yelp and thought it looked great, and our experience here matched my expectations. Bhookhe is located on a Main Street in Artesia and there is ample street parking in nearby residential areas. We didn't have a reservation when we came in around 6 pm, but were seated immediately as the restaurant was only about half full. Ambiance here is simple and casual. A waiter brought over menus immediately. One unusual thing I observed was that they served us small bottles of water rather than tap water in cups. My husband was starving and wanted to order a lot of food, but the waiter counseled us against the amount we were about to order (a first) and told us to order less. We got four dishes, which still ended up being a lot of food. We shared the aloo tikki chaat, and the aloo puri as appetizers. For mains, my husband had the garlic naan and malai kofta and I had the maharani thali. I can say without a doubt this is the best Indian food I've ever had in the US. The food was bursting with flavor and super filling. Prices were also quite modest. After I ate here, I was already planning my next visit and telling my friends about it. Looking forward to coming back.

I went all the way to Artesia to try this restaurant which bring authentic Indian Rajasthani food culture to here. In fact the decoration brings the vibe and even plates is traditional style made out of leave. They have a lot of options on the menu, plus they have Thalis which is good so you get chance to try a lot of items. I tried maharaja thali and Sartaj thali. I just blown away from the flavors it brings in mouth. If you want to really try rajasthani food, this is the place. My favorites is dal bati, pyaaj kachori and their kadhi. This place is busy on the weekend, but their service is faster though.

"It's Thali, can't wait to eat, Thali Maharaja. Spice I expect, oy, genuflect, a lot of food for me. Now, try your best to stay calm. Too much food, ring the alarm. Then, finish with the sweets to leave happy." - parody of "Prince Ali", Aladdin Bhookhe is a recently opened Rajasthani restaurant in Little India. Seeing new places nearby open give the impetus to try them out and show support. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ogjXvH1nVcq0yfVyZrMhxQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Maharaja thali- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Q2VCD314R_4542Tn9KiTtQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA A sumptuous amount of vegetarian food, Bhookhe's Maharaja thali provided an ample amount of food. The bati was rather dry for my preference, but everything else, especially the bowls of curry, were satisfying. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=h-B01dprpYZ9TbWlSaqpEQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Service was good. The wait was minimal for the food. Ample amount of seating inside. Another party had a bratty toddler who wasn't into Indian food, so it made for a not so pleasant dining experience. Parking is metered street parking & nearby parking structures. Bhookhe is open on Mondays, which most of other businesses located in Little India are not. I had a fine Rajasthani meal at Bhookhe. The portions were good, and the Maharaja thali offered several food items in a complete package. I hope to return soon and try the rest of what Bhookhe has to offer. Highly recommend

We came to Artesia to get our dessert fix from Surti and discovered this place accidentally since we didn't have breakfast we had brunch ..we ordered their maharani thali, Sartaj thali .. chole butture.. I asked if the thali was limited or unlimited.. our server informed it's unlimited if it's for a single person but when we asked for a refill he said we'll be charged which was quite rude and unfair since we ordered individual item for 3 of us.. overall the food was good and the ambience was nice too but their service was really bad.. I would give it a second chance since we regularly come to Artesia 3.5/5

She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her excellent service made our first visit even more enjoyable. The food was incredible! I ordered the Chicken Korma, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, with tender chicken in every bite. The meal came with fluffy basmati rice, warm fresh naan, flavorful chickpeas, yogurt, and pickled onions that complemented everything perfectly. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine with outstanding service, Curry Lounge is definitely worth a visit. We will absolutely be back and can't wait to try more of the menu. 7/21/2026 Second…read moretime here! Ordered take out via phone order. Found their phone number and menu on Google and Google Reviews. Curry Lounge posted their full menu there. AMRITSARI KULCHA First time trying this type of flat bread. It is a North Indian stuffed flat bread. Originated from Amritsar, Punjab. It is a favorite street food. This is usually eaten with Chole, a spicy chickpea curry. The amitsari kulcha had mostly mashed potatoes and some paneer cheese. Various herbs in it, lots of herbs in it. It took me a bit to adjust to the herbacious flavors. This was reheated in the toaster oven until slightly crispy and it was delicious! You must reheat before you eat! This went really well with the Punjabi Butter Chicken I ordered. SAMOSA Flaky dough stuffed with spiced potatoes and peas. Delicious and this was my second time ordering it! I think this will be my go to place for potato samosas! And yes, reheat in toaster oven before consumption! PUNJABI BUTTER CHICKEN A popular Indian dish originating in Punjab. Tender chicken pieces in tomato-based sauce with butter and cream. Chicken marinated in spiced yogurt mix and cooked in a tandoor and grilled. The chicken has different pieces, such as legs, thighs and breast meat. All have bones in them. But there were about 4-5 pieces of chicken. They ask for your preference of spice levels, so I got medium spice. It was spicy! Spice lingers on your tongue and in your stomach too! Made my own basmati rice at home, so did not order it, but you definitely need the basmati rice to soak up all the flavors of the butter chicken! So delicious to eat with the aromatic, sweet basmati rice! This was also delicious with flat bread, but I absolutely loved it with basmati rice. NAAN (PLAIN) Wanted naan, so I ordered it plain. This was not oily and you can taste the ghee. The naan wasn't even in thickness. Parts of the naan that were thinner were crispy and thicker were fluffy and soft. It had very little herbs, so it had a clean, ghee flavor. CUSTOMER SERVICE Staff who took my order over the phone was kind, patient and spoke clearly and slowly. He made sure that my order was correct. All my orders were received and well packaged with saran wrap to ensure the food stays hot and does not spill. They even added utensils too, which I appreciate. My food was not fully prepared at the set time, however, they gave me a courtesy call to let me know. But I let them know it wasn't a big deal because I was also running late. Lol. Location is far from where I live, but if I am in the area, I am definitely returning! Delicious food, good service all around! A very happy customer! Cannot wait to try new dishes in the near future!

When we got there at 11:30 it was quite empty, but by the time we left it was nearly full--a popular spot, and we could see why. We were rather pleasantly surprised at how upscale it looked in here--all cloth napkins, white tablecloths, and a recently renovated-looking interior with lots of dark wood. There were lots of options on their lunch special menu, which they even have on the weekends, and even more on their regular menu. I had the paneer tikka masala lunch special and the hubby had the saag paneer lunch special. All the lunch specials come with rice, salad greens, lentil soup, naan, a mini samosa (on attractive metal serving ware), along with self serve coffee and chai. At $16.95 as of this writing, we thought it was a great deal. The hubby and I shared our food and thought it was very good overall. I thought the saag was a touch too salty but it didn't mean I hated it. They do serve alcohol here, although we didn't imbibe on our visit. As for parking, they have a small front parking lot and a larger back lot (which we weren't aware of until our friends told us). If you want good Indian food with very attentive service in a slightly upscale setting, this is a good choice.

The butter chicken is my favorite, I know it's the most basic b Indian food but everything I've tried has been awesome. Sangeetha's cooking has made me ok with trying some vegetarian food when I thought I'd never like any non meat-centric dish. Swing by, try something new or enjoy something old. Relevant - it's not super spicy, but that's ok to me, it's more accessible to people that might be turned off by excessive spice - I have some scorpion pepper powder that I add to bring the heat, and it doesn't hurt the flavor that I've come to love. They're not open Mondays, but hey - she deserves time off! A suggestion if I may - grab an extra bowl of butter chicken alongside whatever else you get, and throw a fried egg or two on top the next morning for breakfast. DOES NOT HAVE BANANAS! As a professional simian that is of note, but not a negative ;) There are random snacks I've never seen before, I've tried a few and have been happy with what I've sampled. The bottles of mango lassi are super tasty and for me, it helps my heartburn.

Edit: I was going to delete my review, but I got a private message from the owner with a ton of attitude, asking me to take this down, but I don't feel like that's ethical. I don't think three stars is bad. So just to restate. The food is not bad. But I'm not going to take this review down because I don't feel like it's appropriate for the owner to message you privately with an attitude and try to strong-arm you into taking down the review. I have left plenty of reviews about restaurants in Little India, and not once as anybody messaged me with the tone that you have used with me. So I'm leaving it up. Live and learn. It wasn't bad but your approach to dealing with your customers is. I don't think that Yelp has the option of messaging people so you can come at them with a shitty attitude and strong-arm them into trying to change their review. You're honestly just making yourself look worse.
