It's not easy finding a meal prep spot that's open Monday through Friday where you can simply walk in, grab a meal, and go. Xcellent Nutrition in Norwalk makes it easy! They're open daily except Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The meals are delicious, and I love that each one includes the exact macros, so you know exactly what you're eating. I've never had a bad meal here. The cashier is always friendly and happy to answer any questions, and if you're in a hurry or want to eat there, they even have a microwave available to warm up your meal. Meals range from $10-$16, which I think is a great value for the quality and convenience. There are a few outdoor tables if you'd like to eat on-site. The menu is easy to read and clearly displays the macros for each meal. The only downside is parking, which can be a little tricky if you're not familiar with the area. The easiest entrance is off Norwalk Boulevard near the 5 Freeway by Outback Steakhouse. read more

Their meals are so good in macros, taste homemade, and the staff are always so friendly and kind! I am also excited that they are faith based as well as doing things to help our community (i.e. collecting donations for the first responder or LA Wildfire victims! ). I LOVE to cook and meal prep from myself, but support their business and purchasing my meal preps here lately is not only easy for me, but supporting them! The space is small, but homey. You can either grab n go (which is what I usually do) or buy in bulk ahead of time! Be sure to follow their Instagram @xcellent_nutrition for the latest menu & store hours. They will also be starting to sell fresh juices and I cannot wait to come back again to add to my weekly meal preps! read more

The staff is very helpful and friendly, and I love that I finally found a place that does a chicken quesadilla with the right amount of chicken and not over whelming with cheese it's my favorite and the seasoning on the meals are not over whelming with a good taste that helps me out not triggering acid reflux. read more

I came here to try the enchiladas suizas, they're a little bland for my taste but I did get some sweet beast dessert muffins which were pretty good! Idk what everyone is talking about bad service because the girl at the register was extremely friendly and helpful! As far as flavor I think it's expected to not be the best as this is healthier than what you'd get at a restaurant, but definitely recommend if you're tracking macros. read more

Horrible customer service Leslie was no help when we called to inform them that they've charged our credit card three times after we called and emailed to cancel. After the cancellation email was sent we called to confirm our email was received, Leslie confirmed they received it and would cancel subscription. We were charged three more times before we caught it on our statement - these three times we never received a call or a text that our meals were ready for pick up. When we asked why weren't we informed that our meals were ready for pick up? Leslie said because we never made them. We ask ok so can we get our meal now that we paid for ? Leslie said no go take it up with your bank. Reached out to Eric Escobar (owner) before posting review and no reply from him . read more

If you're looking for a place to buy fresh food, this is definitely not the place. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. For starters their customer service is terrible and not to mention how NOT fresh the meals are. Here is my experience...I went in on Sunday, August 18 to purchase their grab and go meals that are 3 for $20. I bought these with the intention of having one on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. When I went to eat my meal on Wednesday, August 21 I noticed that it had an expiration date of August 19 with a preparation date of August 13. Keep in mind that I purchased these meals on the 18 so by the time I purchased the meals they had already been sitting out for five days. Now I don't know about you but to me that is not very "fresh". My husband had also purchased meals and had the same expiration date on his. I don't know about the rest of the meals that we had bought because I didn't pay attention to the date because I trusted this place. The other bothersome thing was that I reached out to this business by email and I sent them pictures of the expired items. I did not hear back from them. I had to send them three additional text messages so they could finally respond to my email. Once I received the email I could not believe that they were putting all the blame on me for not checking the dates. Ok, I should have checked the dates, but for someone who prides themselves on selling "fresh" meals...5 days in the fridge is not fresh. Now I'm afraid for other customers to buy their food, what if they have old food and just change the sticker and put a "fresher" date! BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

I have been in the 5 meals a week program since mid August 2021and I've lost about 12 lbs. The meals are great- I usually have them for lunch-a good variety and keep me satisfied- I think it also motivates me to eat healthier breakfast and dinners although I find myself not too hungry so will have a salad or yogurt at times n some fruit. Feels good to eat healthier and look better in my clothes. Thanks Xcellent Nutrition :) read more

This place lacks communication and customer service; I walked in the store for grab and go meals. I ended up singing up for the one time 10 meal subscription to tested out and see if I like that option in the future. The cashiers at front didn't explain important details. For instance they send out And email and you have a due date to choose 3 menu options But if you don't chose any they choose them for you. and they won't call you to let you know that your food has been there sitting for todays. I called and left several voicemails on Monday and Tuesday morning never got a call back. I called at 4:45pm on Tuesday and finally answered and said my meals have been chose for me and my food has been there for two days and that it was too late to go because they were already closing. I get there the next day grab my food and Let them know my situation on and how I was confused with everything. They came up with their excuses on how they couldn't return my calls. So I just grabbing my bag and as I was walking to my car my bag ripped from the bottom with 10 meals!! at this point I was so annoyed I walked and told them my bag ripped and had 2 meals and a snack and a pressed juice the felt on the floor and that I was going to go grab them. Came back with the two meals that fell on the floor and the girl at the front tells me "omg these are my favorite" and she puts them back in my bag.!! I'm not the person that make a *ucken A scene but you Better believe that you just lost my service for good!! I hope this helps new clients !! Because they really can't teach their employees to explain important details. And call back. read more

Came in last Friday 5/24/19 was really excited to get started on my diet. There was a deal for 5 meals for $25 which I was talked out of because of the holiday weekend. Employee stated to come in today Tuesday 5/28 to get the 5 for 25 deal. I started with the 3 for $20 just to see how it tasted. So I'm come in to get my 5 for $25 and was told that the 5 for $25 deal will not be honored. I was turned off by the lack knowledge of the deal by the previous employee that offered me a deal that wouldn't exist when I come in again. Food was over priced for the quality of the food. Suggestion- find a better place to bring your busy. This company is a rip off. read more

I was quite satisfied with this place for a short while at first and then I came in one day and bought 6 meals. They still had 3 meals for 20 bucks at the time. So the 6 meals came out to 40 bucks and some change. I find out later that day that they charged me twice for that transaction so 80 dollars ended up coming out of my account. I texted the owner Vanessa personally about this issue and she ignored my text. Cowardly move. I let some time pass by before I come here again and I decided to address the issue to get it worked out so I can be refunded my 40 dollars back since they charged me twice. The young girl who was helping me out wasn't helpful at all. I showed her my transaction history, credit card info and all that. So she looks up the transaction and lies to my face saying that those transactions did happen but at different times and that they can't refund me! I couldn't believe the dishonesty. She rigged the whole thing. I got completely ripped off by this place. Don't ever get your meals here. There are more honest and cheaper places out there than this and the owner Vanessa and her staff are sshady. She has no experience owning a business at all and will not do right by her wrongs or make it up to you if there was a mistake on their part. Again, do not buy your meals from here. Flame Broiler and Waba Grill are cheaper and healthier than this place and serve better portions for your macros. I got robbed by these fraudulent low-lives. Somebody sue this place. read more

First off, food is fantastic and honestly it is a quick check off my list to eat healthy and not have to worry about cooking daily or think about what to have today. Secondly, there's a variety of choices it helps make sure I'm not eating the same meal daily and therefore can switch often and still stay within my calorie count or macros tracking. Lastly, the staff are amazing, always ready to answer questions, know where my pick up order is or better yet, what are the deals and specials for the week. Definitely recommend this place! read more

The staff at xcellent nutrition is amazing. I've lost 23lbs adding their food to my exercise routine. I've tried meal preps before, but would get tired of them and stop eating them. I first saw this place as I drove by and figured why not give this place a shot. Needless to say after several months, I am still eating their food because it is simply delicious. As a weekly subscriber, I don't have to worry about what I'm going to eat. I simply pick what I want from their menu at the beginning of the week. You won't be disappointed in the food, and the staff is always willing to answer your questions. Thanks to all the staff there for always hyping me up and giving me delicious food.. let them help you get back on track like they helped me. read more

Thank you for righting a wrong. I signed up for weekly delivery service and was extremely disappointed when I received my food. Let's just say it wasn't in the best shape. I was quickly taken care of professionally and courteously. They offered to re-make my meals and were delivered the following day. The new delivery driver was extremely professional and extremely apologetic for the previous driver. I've been picking up meals with them for quite some time and was initially disappointed however they really went above and beyond to take care of a repeat customer! Looking forward to trying some of these new tasty meals! read more

Love love love Xcellent Nutrition! I've always known diet is KEY to losing weight, but have always struggled with finding a balanced diet that I enjoy and stick to. Cue in Xcellent Nutrition! Vanessa works really hard in providing not only a healthy variety, but also balanced alternatives to everyday meals (I can have enchiladas on a diet? Yes!) She shows you that don't have to eat salads and boiled chicken every day to see some results. The ingredients she uses are fresh, the recipes are delicious, and more importantly, the time you save from spending all that time in the kitchen cooking for yourself, can be better spent pushing for a new PR :) In just a month I've lost inches off my waist and hips (always a problem area for me!), and reenergized my motivation into sticking into a healthy lifestyle. I've gained a new perspective on eating and don't see myself going back to fad diets that never seem to work. read more
