Today I tried this little hidden gem in Norwalk. My friend is a regular here and raved about how good it was so I had to give it a try. The menu wasn't overwhelming and the restaurant had good deals for happy hour. I got the chicken plate with double Mac and jalapeños. I would say the food is a fusion between Hawaiian food and Japanese Teriyaki. I was not disappointed at all. We did wait a minute for the food but for good reason. My chicken came grilled to perfection with an amazing char and the both side salads were refreshing and creamy. The plates are about $15+ depending on what you get but the plate comes with enough food to make it worth it. They also carry Coke products here which is always a plus for me. The service from the workers was great and everyone was friendly as soon as we walked through the door. The restaurant was cozy and the ambiance was welcoming and very clean. But the guy at the back seems like really annoyed with me because I asked... to think that there's no else there but me... you won't gain loyal customers that way. Found this place on my ride to the Norwalk MetroLink station and decided to give them a try. Only 10-15 mins walk from the Norwalk/Santa Fe Springs MetroLink Train Station, Don's Teriyaki Grill is nicely situated in the Civic Center Plaza among other stores and shopping centers. There is plenty of parking in adjacent parking lot and doesn't seem to be congested even during the peak evening hours after folks are leaving work. Entrance is through a single pulled door glass with reception/ordering/kitchen located at the rear, roughly 9/10 strides away from the door This is a small shop so be prepared to dine in for the few and fortunate or request for a take out. There is only two tables seating up to 4 and two bar-styled wall-tables that can seat up to 5. This is definitely a great location for a quick dine and dash or take away. read more

The salad was refreshing it had their house made asian vinaigrette and crispy wonton strips . THE GRUB Back on March 16, 2021, I ordered my kalbi plate ($13.79) to go as there was no indoor or outdoor dining allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions. The order took a while to come out, but once it did, it was nicely packed with generous portions. This plate came with succulent kalbi meat... oh my gosh it was so flavorful and tender too. My daughters loved it too.
