    Missing Mac salad again
    Angelica Z.

Spoke too soon. No Mac salad again. We obviously have been on a kick with this place but for items, little things, to be missing often is not okay. So frustrating. The receipt even had everything checked off...

Finally came around to visiting this place.... don't know why it took so long.... food delicious! Can't beat freshness, taste and service. What puts their teriyaki a step above... the sauce. Slightly on sweater side but just enough to make meals pop. Nice touch with green onion and jalapeño options. Plus, plates have both a scoop of macaroni n potato salad. Download app for free stuff n gets this. You can order Meal Prep items at less $. Comfortable atmosphere and ample parking.

Ima keep it real. This food right here, it was DA BOMB. Like if I could explain it properly, if my taste buds could speak, they would say "aye this food is gas". Service was good, the cashier gave me my food at my table and I ate a happy customer. Parking here is nice as well as clean and vibe inside. I would def come here again to eat! 10/10 recommend

People of Norwalk, you are so lucky to have Don's in your front yard. Truly tasty, authentic Hawaiian plate lunch. Carefully prepared fresh with good ingredients. I'm just glad I live in OC because if I lived in Norwalk I'd be here 3 to 4 times per week.

$10.99 chicken teriyaki and drink deal

First time here, the girl that helped us was super friendly and service was quick! Food was so good and we unknowingly came during happy hour! We got the $2 spam musubi and $10.99 chicken teriyaki bowl and drink deal. Both items were super fresh and would recommend here for anyone wanting quick and good food

Where to start off? First of all Don's teriyaki is my go to spot whenever I'm feeling lazy and don't feel like cooking or meal prepping. The food here is top-notch and the quality is always spot on. Sonia the owner and her team always give amazing quality service and the ambiance is relaxing. I never feel rushed to leave. If I could I would eat this everyday. Thank you Sonia and the team over at dons for being apart of the Norwalk community and serving quality and affordable fresh food.

Was supposed to be a Kalbi Plate

FOOD: I recently visited this place, and my experience was disappointing. I phoned in my pick-up order for a Kalbi plate, but unfortunately, I received something entirely different, and while it did come with 3 small pieces of Kalbi, the rest were just regular beef. The rice and meat were drenched in teriyaki sauce, which, with its overwhelming sweetness, made it difficult to taste the actual flavor of the meat. The salad was fresh, but the sauce didn't elevate the taste as much as I expected. SERVICE: It was a quick and convenient pick-up order process where I paid and left after receiving my order. I only wish I had checked my order before leaving, as it turned out there was a mix-up. AMBIANCE: Small, simple. PARKING: There is ample parking as it is located in a compound with other small establishments. They also have 1 parking slot in front dedicated to their customers.

First time here, inside was clean. There were tables and counter seating for about 14 people. The art on the walls was unique and cute. They have a high chair for small children. I ordered the chicken and beef bowl, no rice, all salad, and a Thai tea. Staff was friendly, and it was easy to order. Food is made to order, came out fairly quick, and smelled really good. The chicken terriyaki was very freshly grilled and juicy, got a decent amount. The beef terriyaki was very tasty as well but the portion size was alot smaller. The salad was just iceberg lettuce with some white crunchy noodles and a vinegar tasting dressing. The Thai Tea was very good, tasted freshly made. Plenty of parking and the lot has EV charging stations

I am always on the look out for ono grinds Hawaiian style. The chicken, beef and kalbi plate didn't disappoint. Absolutely mouth watering with large portions. Tender pieces of kalbi and the chicken was sliced and grilled nicely. This place is not fancy, but it's clean and the cook and server were so friendly. Only 3 tables and stools pulled up on a counter for eating, cozy. Beautiful artwork on the wall too. Prices were great as well. Norwalk is out of our area but if this way we will definitely make a stop.

First time at Norwalk location and not disappointed I went to Wilmington location for years but now this location is closer to home. Not disappointed it all food is delicious at both locations, will definitely go back.

Had this place bookmarked for a while and it did not disappoint! Great Hawaiian style Teriyaki. Plates are served with green salad, Mac salad and potato salad. We tried the shrimp, chicken, beef and Kalbi. They were all delicious but make sure you try the Kalbi, it was the best! Didn't get a pic of the food because we were to hungry but the interior is nice and clean with interesting art.

Beef Bulgogi w/white rice, Macaroni Salad, Potato Salad & Side Salad.

Once I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the young man at the register. There was a slight wait so I sat down at one of the tables. Everything was tidy and clean....The decor didn't speak to anything specific. I did appreciate, however, that my food was cooked to order so when I received it, it was hot. Onto the food .... Now I'm a huge fan of Beef Bulgogi and this one did not disappoint!!! The macaroni salad was not my favorite and the potato salad was completely bland and lacked texture. With all that being said, I would still go back just for the beef Bulgogi because it was just that good. The beef was seasoned and tender. I have nothing to complain about regarding the beef.

Got greeted and help by the Hispanic gentleman (i don't know his name). He was very helpful and friendly. The place is very calm and i like the decorations on the wall. Loving the vibes here. And the food is A1 also. 5 out of 5 star . -Infinite

Yes, we do!! Please call us at 562-991-5621 and speak with Sonia! We can give you suggestions depending on your party and give you pricing as well.

Is your chicken marinated in soy sauce prior to cooking? I am asking to see if it can be modified to be gluten-free if eaten without the teriyaki sauce (there is wheat in soy sauce). Thanks!

    Yes, it is.

My mom also tried this place and recommended it, so I felt confident this would be a spot I would be coming often. We ordered the naengmyeon combo with spicy marinated pork and a side of soybean paste stew. The lady was nice when she seated us, but seemed a little bothered when we only ordered the above items, because she coldly asked "if that was all" and we said yes. She walked away then yells back asking if we wanted rice because rice wasn't included, and we said no. Despite the rough start with the vibe of the lady who took our order I was still hopeful the food itself would make up for it. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre at best. I've never had naengmyeon that had so much chili flakes, and as someone who doesn't mind them, it was weird. The soybean paste soup was bland. And the side dishes were just okay. After the meal, I got really thirsty and my face was puffy so they are using msg. If it was a good meal, I wouldn't have minded the msg, but for food that was mediocre at best was not worth it. Although I won't be back, I did see people ordering for take out nonstop, so there must be some other dish that is giving them customers.

It's in a small, almost empty-ish plaza, but it's a little mom-and-pop gem. Ambiance (5/5): Walk right in and you'll see that it's on the small side, but a cute and simple restaurant with family vibes. Depending on the time of day, it can feel somewhat empty while at other times somewhat busy. Service (3/5): It's nothing too special, but the workers are always friendly. It's somewhat self serve. You order at the front and then you wait for them to call your order. Then you pick up your tray of food, eat, and place the trays towards the front when done. Food (5/5): Everything we have eaten here over the years is so yummy. Their hot stone bibimbap is chock-full of ingredients with just the right amount of sesame oil and flavor; we often have to pack some of it to go. Their army stew (budaejigae) is my absolute favorite, and I've compared it to a lot of other Korean stew places, some way pricier and this one still takes the cake. It has a wonderful roasted flavor from all the meats they put in and I love going for the ramen first. I always take extra to go since it's small but filling. The best part? Let's not forget that they have self serve all-you-can-eat banchan (side dishes) and they do not skimp on variety. There's your usuals like the napa kimchi, radish kimchi and fish cakes, but they also have mac salad, potato salad, japchae and other goodies which works well for your picky toddlers. Overall, this is a wonderful little restaurant that deserves a visit over and over when you're just craving some comfort korean food at decent prices.

I thought the Bulgolgi fries would be number one. Sadly it's not. If you mess up steamed egg, ima gonna say no to the rest of your menu. I would order two next time and just stick to that. The cheese corn was okay, but compared to PaDak and other local Korean spot I say skip this. The cheese tasted weird to me and I did t like that it was also a kraft American cheese. As a cheese lover, I only expect that square cheese to be on a burger or cheese melt. The Bulgolgi Fries could serve 3 people. But it was drenched with sauce, and spicy sauce. Not enough Bulgolgi to pay $20. The cut of fries were this nd tasted like sweet potato. It just didn't fit my taste buds. The Garlic noodle okay. That's Al I have to say about that. The side dishes were all delicious -- especially the spicy cucumbers, potato salad, bean sprouts, kimchi. But the meats were definitely the highlight. I went with the Silver Special and the bulgogi (top favorite here), beef belly, and brisket were all so good. The meat looked and tasted really high quality too, and they changed the grill quickly and often which I appreciated. Honestly, the whole menu looked amazing. I came in hungry and left completely full, but still wished I could've tried more definitely a sign I need to come back. I also noticed they had tortillas on the menu which was a cool fusion touch. I personally stick to rice paper, but still thought it was a fun addition. Everyone was really nice, the place was clean, and the prices were excellent for the quality and AYCE delicious food. Overall such a great experience -- easy 5/5 stars. Would absolutely come back again.

We arrived at about 6 o'clock on a Friday night and had to wait about 15 minutes. They have an electronic check-in system and you just enter your name and number in your party and wait. We tried to do it in advance, but it had been taken off-line from the Yelp app. The place was very busy and bustling with activity. It's a no nonsense resturant that is clean. Some of the tables are shared so you will have a table with two burners that can accommodate two parties of four. While we were close to our neighbors, we had enough separation that we felt like we had a private table. Once we were seated, we were presented the menu that has essentially three AYCE menu options. Our waiter was very attentive and explained the online ordering to us and we were off. When we ordered the the food, it came out quickly. The meat was tender and flavorful. The banchan was pretty standard, but good. I particularly liked the spicy pork and the glass noodles. My family really enjoyed the brisket and the kimchi pancake. My daughter ordered the spicy Ramen, which was her least favorite thing. It was very peppery tasting. All in all, it was a great place for a family meal. We all enjoyed it very much and are looking forward to coming back.

The pork cutlet is pretty big, and the crunch factor is definitely there. We also got the mini toppokki and the chicken bulgogi, which were both flavorful. Honestly, all the dishes and the sides they offer hit the spot. My personal favorite sides are the kimchi, the cucumber with radish, and the fishcake. Service was wonderful- the lady taking care of us was friendly and accommodating. They also have a call bell, which makes it easier if you need to call the servers for anything instead of flagging them down. For the interior, I like the lighting display- gives a nice illumination to the place. It's a plus that they're also open late till 12am!

But heads up... if you're starving starving, it's mostly bones with not that much actual meat on them so make sure you order some extra dishes with it. It was my first time trying it because that's what my friends recommended, but normally I would've gone with the seafood or beef tofu soup for way more protein, plus a plate of galbi or bulgogi on the side Honestly next time I'm definitely doing tofu soup with galbi instead -- better combo in my opinion and probably more filling than that giant soup that's supposed to serve 3. The teokbokki was super good though, and all the side dishes were hittin too Especially the fresh kimchi... not too sour or overly fermented like some places. Service was crazy fast even though we pulled up around 10:30pm, and the servers were super friendly. Ambiance was your classic chill Korean spot, nothing fancy but solid vibes all around
