I was in the mood for a piping hot cup of chai tea, and the newly opened Hyderabad Delights popped up on my radar. Zafrani chai- Chai w/ saffron petals, the Zafrani chai was a great pick me up & midday boost. The ample amounts of dairy started to congeal on top of the tea, as it cooled. Osmania biscuits- A great accoutrement for the Zafrani chai, the Osmania biscuits are shortbread-style cookies. Dipped in the tea, the biscuits proved to be a great treat. Samosas- The samosas at Hyderabad Delights are made with patti, thin paper-like pastry strips, which makes the samosas crunchy & flaky. Similar to phyllo dough, used for baklava. Unlike Indian samosas, which are larger and made with thick, hand-rolled dough. The savoriness cut into the sweetness of the Osmania biscuits, providing contrast to the palate. Service was good. I was told the chai would be ready in 15 - 20 mins, assuming they had to brew a new large batch. Not pressed for time, I told them I would wait. Ample amount of seating inside Hyderabad Delights, able to accommodate large groups. Open late, till 1am - 2am the next day, Hyderabad Delights is located on the right of The Saffron Spot at the former restaurant location of Notun Bazar, at The Little India Center. For afternoon or late night cravings, Hyderabad Delights can provide what you seek. Several soothing styles of chai, along with dum biryani, shawarma, Chicken 65 & more, has you covered for a quick snack, or something more substantial. I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of Hyderabad Delights' menu. Highly recommend!

Everything they ordered was delicious. I sort of third wheel myself to their dinner plans so they ordered before I arrived. I'm honestly not a fan of curry but they ordered 3 types of curry and I loved all of them! & the Naan -- OMGGGG. They ordered the garlic naan and 10/10. Sooo good. The inside is clean and well decorated. Lighting is dimmed which I love! The waiters were attentive but also gave us space -- does that make sense? They were quick & welcoming. Overall great experience. I'll be bringing my husband next time. Spacious parking, there's also parking in the back of the building & street parking.

Update as of August 16th, 2026…read more We haven't been there in a few months, so we decided to take my mom. We were welcomed by new staff there. Let me tell you, the staff before was fine, but this staff now is excellent. We had the opportunity to meet Aditya, who was our server, and he was incredible, along with this young lady, who is probably one of the sweetest waitresses we've met. They had a few other people working that were very friendly, and going to the restaurant is even more enjoyable. Food is always going to be good there, and they are very consistent. India Restaurant is our go to restaurant in Artesia Service is fast Food is very tasty Chicken Tikka is my favorite out of all Indian restaurants I have been to Keema samosas very good Bindi, Naan, Tandoori chicken is all good We have never had a bad meal in the last 20 years we have been going Don't do the buffet

Besides the butter chicken, I've also had chicken korma, & other vegetarian dishes including those with saag & chickpeas & they've all been fantastic! -I like really spicy food & some of the dishes are not as spicy as I'd prefer, but everything is so tasty & flavorful! I will be honest. I would have never made my way to Little India in Artesia if I wasn't lehenga…read moreshopping for my Sangeet. It was because I had my first consultation at Frontier Heritage that I Yelped for a good Indian restaurant nearby and Ashoka came up on my radar, so THANK YOU, YELP!! And more honesty... every time I went back to Frontier Heritage to get a fitting and pick up my dress, I went to Ashoka. I ended up loving the food, the staff / service, and vibe of the restaurant so kept going back. The first time I had lunch here was with my Bridesmaids and we did the lunch buffet and had Mango Lassi. The perfect Indian lunch combo! Their lunch buffet selection was more than just the typical Tikka Masala Chicken and Saag Paneer, which I happen to love both... but they had additional items I haven't seen before. For example -- a creamy pasta with spinach and mushroom. I think that was one of my Ashoka buffet favorites! It looked like Ashoka liked doing fusions and another great idea were their flatbreads. I ended up ordering their Butter Chicken Flatbread for all of us girls to share. The second time I came back, I was with my fiance and due to his dairy allergy -- we ordered off the menu. We ended up getting their Tandoori Chicken (made DF), Lamb Rogenjosh, and Aloo Gobi... and I had to get something with mushrooms because I LOVE MUSHROOMS!! They had a Mushroom Masala. It was so good! I loved it more than the pasta. The third and fourth time my fiance and I went back -- I just stuck to the buffet because I really wanted diary based items. I am so thankful that the chef was able to make Tandoori Chicken for us dairy free and other items as well. Again, their service staff were fabulous. They were all friendly, attentive, and I feel like my water glass never went below half! If I am in the area again, I would definitely go back for more.

This Indian restaurant is located in Artesia along a stretch of road known for Indian restaurants…read more(among other businesses). They specialize in, and excuse my ignorance if I'm mistaken, Gujarati-style vegetarian thali. They also do an all you can eat type format where a person comes by and fills up your dishes whenever you want. I'm usually against all you can eat style, mainly because of food waste, but this style minimizes waste. The service here was very friendly and attentive. Because of the style of the meal, they come by pretty often to check if you want any refills on any of the dishes. Included in the meal is some fresh griddled roti, puffed puri, and a warm yogurt dish. They then come by with freshly prepared vegetarian dishes and you start to dig into their comforting stews or curries. Everything was so flavorful and had to be careful of not getting too full. You can also ask for rice if you prefer it with the many dishes. My meal ended with dessert and I selected the warm carrot pudding that was just so tasty! I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here with the delicious food and friendly service. I came at an early hour before dinner so the place wasn't too crowded and it was pretty chill. I can only assume this place gets more crowded during the prime dinner hours. There was a lot of street parking and I found parking about a block away. I'm not sure if there were parking structures, but I just grabbed the first spot that I saw that was somewhat close to the destination.

The Thalis used to be a lot more varied in terms of menu. This time around the moong dal and tindora sabzi were mid at best. I still enjoyed the chaas and the shrikhand, which I got as dessert. The chilli bhajiya and dhokla weren't special either. The khichdi however was extremely tasty. They didn't offer any ghee with any of the food either. Service was good and quick, and the staff are warm and welcoming as always, and willing to provide any explanations of the menu. The ambience has not changed in many years and though their bathrooms are old they were pretty neat and hygienic. I don't know if I will be coming back here as often as I used to because the food has reduced from being something special to just being okay.
