Bhel puri
Katelyn S.

Had dinner with family this weekend to celebrate my niece's birthday. We ended up ordering quite a few appetizers (bhel puri, okra, vegetable samosa, peanut salad, and mixed veggies) and some dishes (chicken tikka, saag paneer, chicken biryani, shrimp tandoori ) that were amazing! (Although, I did not get a chance to take a photo of everything :( ) Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for Indian food in Pioneer town. It was a busy weekend, so service was not up to par as I expected it to be but decent.

Great service and great food! The servers were so kind and on top of refilling waters and clearing plates. I really liked the gobi manchurian as it had great flavor and crispiness! I also liked how it came with plenty of veggies. The butter chicken with garlic naan was my favorite dish. It was sooo buttery and flavorful and I loved every bite. The garlic chicken tikka masala was alright; I was not a huge fan of the flavor but it wasn't bad. Definitely coming back here soon!

I loved: Chicken Tikka Masala I really liked: Butter Chicken Garlic Naan Mango Lassi The chicken tikka masala is amazing. The chicken is super moist and the flavors are excellent. Easily the standout of the meal. The butter chicken is really good too. The flavors are on point, though the chicken could be a little more moist. Still very satisfying. The yellow soup is super full bodied and packed with spices. Lots going on there in a good way. The bread thing is well spiced, and the garlic naan is crispier and firmer than some places but still super good and easy to keep eating. The mango lassi is pretty solid. Sweet, smooth, and great flavor. The restaurant is clean inside and the service is pretty attentive. Overall a good meal and a nice spot for catching up with a friend.

Came here for weekend lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how great everything was! We ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala--both were absolutely delicious, easily a 5/5 for flavor. Rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned. They also offer lunch specials, which are such a good deal. You get naan (butter or garlic), a small salad (wish it had dressing, but still fresh), a samosa, rice, and the lentil of the day. I'm not a big beans/lentils person, but everything else tasted great and felt super worth it. Service was really on point--attentive, friendly, and quick. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, even during weekend lunch hours. They also have their own parking lot and a clean bathroom, which is always a plus. They also have tea and coffee station, I had the tea which was delicious! Overall, I'd definitely come back again, especially for the lunch specials! Highly recommend!

My favorite spot for Indian cuisine. I've been coming here since 2004, back when I was a child. This place is a core memory for me and my family, and I'm so happy to know it's still running. The servers are always friendly and attentive. I do miss their buffet days, but the food is always spot on. The restaurant is clean and beautifully done inside. Dishes range from mild, medium, spicy, to extra spicy, I always get mine spicy, and it's perfect (if you don't like spice medium is good) These dishes are classic staples They're also a great introduction to Indian food safe, comforting, and approachable for new eaters. I promise. What to order (trust me): Start with the Masala chai - their chai is perfect smooth and creamy Samosas - comes with 2, filled to the brim with potato, so yum Chicken Tikka Masala - a classic favorite and has a hint of sweetness and the chicken is tender Saag Paneer - perfectly balances the sweetness alongside the tikka masala Garlic Naan - hits every single time, a must For sweets if you have room Gulab Jamun - syrupy, hot little dough balls MUST pair with Rice Pudding - cold and creamy Their tandoori, butter chicken, and veggie korma is so delicious as well, I catered my review to dishes I would recommend to first timers

I used to come here for their amazing lunch buffets and it's such a shame they stopped offering it post-covid. I still hope for the day they bring back the buffet. It's been a while since we've been to the restaurant and we thought we'd come by again to try their lunch specials. We got their chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and lamb curry lunch specials, which come with a generous portion of food. They have a self-serve station for chai and coffee, which was a nice addition to the meal. The plate comes with the entree, rice, salad, and a mung bean side dish. They also provide naan and a small dessert. Their garlic naan is amazing and I've truly missed it since I last had their buffet. While it's not refillable, the rice is, if you're feeling that the portions aren't enough. We were stuffed at the end of it and I would have to say my favorite was the chicken tikka masala, the flavors were great. The butter chicken was a close contender for me.

Relaxing ambiance with nice dinnerware. The complimentary papadam with mint and tamarind chutneys were appreciated. The garlic naan was great - crisp on the outside but also soft and chewy. We ordered medium spice for both the Lamb Curry and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both had a nice kick, especially the Lamb Curry and the sauces paired well with the rice and naan. Servers were also kind.

In the mood for Indian food, we decided to check out The India Restaurant since we planned to get groceries at 99 Ranch across the street after dinner. While the parking lot for The India Restaurant was small, we managed to find a spot fairly easily. As soon as we walked in, we noticed the lovely and stately decor. The interior is bright and refined, with friendly service. Papadam and both mint and tamarind chutneys were brought to the table shortly after being seated. Prices are quite fair and we ordered samosas, butter chicken, bengan bharta (eggplant), lentil soup, and garlic naan. Entrees are served with rice, which can be refilled. While all of the food was solid and tasty, I also did not find anything extraordinary. I ordered everything mild but wanted a little bit of heat so in retrospect should have opted for medium spice level. Overall, no complaints.

This was the second time visiting this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The food was good the first time as we tried various sampler dishes, but ordered our favorites on this visit. High lights are the garlic tikka masala, chicken or goat curry and garlic naan. Small tip is to order the garlic naan one order at a time so you get them hot and fresh throughout your meal. Service was excellent both times. The only issue you may have is parking is very limited in the front parking lot.

Cheese Garlic Naan , chicken tikka. Lamb coconut curry

By far the best Indian food I've ever had! The lamb in coconut curry is a new dish we tried & it's my new favorite! It was so tender & packed with flavor. Servers & staff go above & beyond to provide superb service & quality. If you're thinking of coming here, think no more, THIS IS THE SPOT TO VISIT!

Delicious food and great service. They do individual combo sampler meals as well as family style which I always think is the best option so you can try everything! The resto is located in a small corner lot with parking, and next to a bakery. Parking can fill up fast in front but there's overflow in the back of the restaurant.

Delicious food, excellent service, appropriate serving sizes, and a complementary Papadums for the table. The restaurant feels authentic and clean.

Delicious and modern Indian food. Every single item we had at this restaurant was packed with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the fish (forgot the name already.. but it was a traditional fish they had that comes as fried pieces). The curries also come in as single portions or for share portions. If you get the single meal, it comes in a lunch tray. Small restaurant but plenty of seating. Restaurant is located in Little India in Cerritos. Would recommend!

It is still a great value at 21.99 for Saturday lunch buffet. There is a good selection of Indian staples, chicken tikka masala, paneer sag, Muton stew. All very tasty though some of the chicken in the tikka masala and the pepper chicken were a little dry. They also had gulab jamun and other sweets. Being so busy, food is constantly replenish from the kitchen. It's one huge open room and quite hectic at lunch time. There were a lot of servers and they were good at clearing out plates, refilling water and overall vein attentive. The interiors are neither here nor there, not basic, but thankfully not garrish either. The sound level though, quite noisy. It you're craving Indian buffet in the Cerritos or Long Beach area this place is still with a visit.

I've been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years now. Service has been hit or miss. But…read morenothing I couldn't look past. Today was some of the worst service I had ever seen from the front desk team. The hostesses appeared to be discriminating against a woman because of her service animal. I'm not sure they understand how ILLEGAL what they did today was. We arrived for Mother's Day because my mom loves the all you can eat buffet there and it's one of her favorite restaurants. The hosts up front seemed a bit scattered and were quoting random times to people. We were told it would be about 15-20 minutes. I think we were seated after 30 minutes. They called us up and then told us wait the table isn't ready so asked us to wait another 5 minutes. The reason I took off 3 stars is because a very nice woman had been waiting with her friends and her service dog longer than us. She was extremely patient and kind. She waited outside with her dog and didn't complain once about the wait. I heard the hosts discussing her dog and they were like oh that's a BIG service dog. It was just a normal small sized black lab. And they never began preparing a table for her. The woman finally came in after about 30 minutes to say she had been waiting and was told they were just setting up a table. They kind of brushed her off and said we will get to you. It seems like they had no intention of ever seating her and her friends. They seated multiple large groups before her. We were table of two and we got sat so we thought she would be next and she wasn't. Eventually the poor woman left. They have a sign outside saying service dogs are allowed. This is not true. And you will be discriminated against and not be given a table. I'm not sure if the hosts know how illegal their behavior was. It was clear her dog was a real service animal and the hostesses did not care for her at all. I was a hostess at two restaurants when I was younger and I have never seen anyone treat a customer so poorly before. I truly hope they apologize to this woman. - As for inside the restaurant the servers and waitstaff were extremely friendly. It is a bit scattered and you don't know who your server is so it is hard to flag people down. But they still serve water, naan, and anything else you need promptly. The entire restaurant was packed. Every table was full and the staff always had the food trays full of items. The items also all tasted fresh. All besides the Hakka noodles. That one was a little soggy or over boiled for my taste. I am vegetarian so I got their spinach and mushroom pasta which was surprisingly good. Paneer tikka was also very good. They also had channa/chole. They have street food station where they made fresh pani puri which was great. I believe this station is switched out each buffet day. The last time I was here it was dev puri. And they had someone making paneer tacos. The man making the tacos was really friendly and seemed really happy to be helping everyone. They had samosas and puff pastries as appetizers. They have wide variety of sweets such as carrot halwa, gulab jamun, jalebi, sweets, Kheer, and mango fruit custard. There is a variety of meat dishes such as tandoor chicken, mutton, chili chicken, and chicken curries. I think the only issue with this place is how the hostesses treat customers. Especially new customers. This is their first impression of the restaurant.
