I ordered karahi gosht (tomato based sauce with goat), garlic naan, and raita (yogurt based savory sauce). The karahi is also available with beef. The dish was really good, and the meat was fall off the bone tender. I loved that. The only thing I wanted more of was salt, but that can be adjusted individually. The raita and mint chutney was so refreshing. I threw it atop my dish and swept it up with my garlic naan. I took my order to go as it's very small to dine inside. I would def go back! We came to this spot after shopping for a friend's wedding. I don't know much about Pakistani cuisine so deferred to my BF to order for us. He was very happy to see Haleem on the menu because it's not usually offered in restaurants. The Haleem dish was amazing and was a standout. We also ordered garlic naan, chicken Tikka, chicken biriyani, and paratha. My BF explained due to proximity there are some shared dishes and taste profiles to Northern Indian cuisine. All the flavors were yummy. MY BF said it's the best food of this cuisine he's tried, and it reminded him of home. The service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance is chill casual, but the place is better for take-out because seating is limited to two long narrow bar tables with 2-3 chairs (1 inside and 1 outdoors). Seriously this is another reason you don't judge a book by its cover, a friend brought me this to my house he ordered me the Chicken Biryani which is basically rice with a bunch of different spices, Chicken Reshmi Kabab which is Boneless pieces of chicken breast marinated w/ there recipe and this right here is the STAR of the show me and all my buddies agreed! It was grilled PERFECTLY not over cooked like most places. Also tried there Chicken Tikka Masala and beware a bit it could cause you a little heart burn cause all the oil and spices they put in this, its a bit spicer then other tikka masala I have gotten in Artesia but still taste great. Tandoori chicken was actually a little bit overcooked thats why I emphasized how good the Reshmi Kebab was, also tried the chicken 65 and that was just mediocre basically fried chicken indian style. Chicken Seekh Kabab was very mediocre it's just their version of ground chicken and spices but I wouldn't suggest getting this, stick to the Reshmi Kebab lol Service staff was very friendly this restaurant is just a takeout restaurant so ambiance doesn't really matter. Really love this place... prices are amazing and the portions are uuuuuge! Most importantly the taste is amazing.. what I love is it has the well knowing dishes, but also things like karalay gosh! Their mutton Palau is probz my favorites (not only available on fridays). Also, their tandoor wheat roti is also great! This place is tucked in a corner of a little strip mall on Pioneer but is really a hidden gem. I ordered the chicken karahi with garlic naan, and it was the perfect amount of flavor and spices. The portion was very generous and lasted about three meals. The entrees don't come with rice, you have to order that separately, but the garlic naan is amazing and perfect to mop up all the sauce.
