I was very excited to try this place but the service was so bad I had to leave without my pizza. The woman behind the counter wasn't paying attention when I ordered and she selected the wrong pizza twice! I ordered a vegan pizza that was listed online, she charged me for a different sized regular pizza. The manager (I assume) came out and he was even more rude than the cashier. He refused to remake my order and demanded that I pay more than the price listed online. I had to fight to get my money back, the cashier accused me of lying and ordering a meat pizza when I've been dairy free for 2 decades and overall it was a nightmarish experience. I'm wondering how these people managed to come all the way to California just to run a bad business when there are plenty of people here who want to have a business who actually care about this state and good customer service. read more

The flavors are strong and you know this is India pizza. The other pizza I ordered from India Spice grill was not as strong, so my girlfriend was able to eat that. Our family has been loyal regulars at this Chicago's Pizza With A Twist location since day one, frequently passing out their business cards and recommending the shop to friends and clients. Even though we aren't from the immediate area anymore, we always make it a point to drive out of our way to support them. Unfortunately, we can no longer justify spending our time, gas, and money here due to the hostile customer service of the cashier, Arpan. This isn't a one-time thing either; Arpan's poor attitude has been an ongoing issue. We used to brush it off thinking, "Maybe he's just having a bad day... forget about it, some people are just like that," but his complete lack of respect has become impossible to ignore. We had family visiting from NorCal and called the shop at exactly 9:19 PM (verified by our phone logs). Before we could even start our order, Arpan stated he recognized who we were and immediately used that to lecture us about how there is "no dine-in after 9:30." He then rudely snapped that he would take the order this time, but next time we could "call whoever we want." It wasn't even 9:30 yet. Driving a long distance with out-of-town guests just to be recognized as regulars and immediately met with hostile, preemptive excuses was incredibly embarrassing. On top of that, Arpan consistently refuses to honor the official corporate text promotions sent to our phones. We aren't looking for free food, nor are we asking for special privileges; we are simply asking for BASIC DECENCY and trying to use valid marketing deals that franchise ownership sends out to drive business. When an employee starts alienating long-term, loyal customers who go the extra mile to support the shop, they become a massive financial liability to the brand. We are gladly taking his advice and taking our business, and our recommendations, elsewhere. Ownership needs to look very closely at who they have REPRESENTING them at the register. read more

This is my first time coming here and as all tests. Always start small and so far the taste doesn't disappoint. Crispy and crunchy as well as the right amount of cheese and marinara sauce. Service is excellent. Ambiance is straight to the point with alot of seating. They do sell a variety of pizzas pastas dishes and salads and drinks. Another Yelp discovery. And a good find indeed. I enjoyed my meal thoroughly. Ordered a Lg Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza. Masala Fries and a 6pc., (Bone in) Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings. Service was friendly competent and professional. There were orders coming in left and right and the aesthetics supported the activity. And I soon found out why. Hot flavorful fully cooked and smelled delicious. If you have had Chicken Tikka Masala before, the Pizza version was really a compliment. As well as the Masala Fries. Thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and preparation of the Fries. My first experience and enjoyed them. Rounding out my order with my 6pc Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings. My husband absolutely LOOOOVES this place because of all the gluten free options plus he loves indian food as well. Since i'm not a huge fan of indian food i got regular cheese bread (very good!!!) and their buffalo wings (just original i hear they have extra spicy). The wings didnt have much sauce on them at all but they were a good size; i got the 10 pc. The cheese bread was great but nothing special, and the marinara was pretty small. I didnt speak to her but i heard the lady at the front is a combo of nice and super unfriendly, which other reviews say. I've been eyeballing this place for some time now, went in and had the vegan pepperoni not my usual choice but I felt like eating vegan cheese. This pie was bomb! Got a medium sized pizza that was enough for two normal people but if you have five stomachs like myself you'd be able to eat the whole thing in one sitting. The service was great walked in and the chef was kind enough to answer all my questions about their pies. The place is kinda small and clean but enough room for a small group/family. They were friendly and patient with it being our first time here. The smell was torturing on the ride home. Made it back nice and warm. Loved all the flavors though they were spicy. I got the paneer naan mild and it was still spicy for me. The butter chicken kids chose medium spice and I was dying. This one is quite noticeable on a corner, so you can't miss it. The spot itself is pretty casual. They take pride of their food as pictures of it is placed all over. Great for a sit-in, food adventure, or if you're in the need of cetering. FOOD: Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza (Recommend) Deelicious. Your standardness of crust was good and the distribution of cheese was pleasant and plentiful. As for the tikka masala, it was fantastic. Good bits of chicken, with green chillies spread. As for the masala cream, you certainly can taste those spices from cinnamon, peppercorn, cumin, coriander, mace, and cardamon. Deelish! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome! The pizza arrive in a timely manner. Randomly found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try, as I was a bit intrigued with the menu! Upon entering, we were greeted right away and the cashier pointed out the paper menus they had up for grabs in the front. it seemed maybe 1 or 2 people were working in total but it was nice that the cashier was visibly up in the front the whole time.  We ordered a large pizza and a pasta for the table and both dishes already smelt and looked amazing! Everything tasted so good, it wasn't too heavy on the flavors. The pizza was also crispy on the bottom and the portions were a great size - we did have some left over to take home. I came in with my husband and my teen and we ordered two medium pizzas and two fountain drinks; the total, including tip, came out to close to $50 which I thought was kind of steep....until I tasted the pizza. Worth it. We ordered the spicy achari chicken pizza and a paneer tikka masala pizza: The spicy achari was the favorite at the table -- a slow building heat with a generous amount of chilis, chicken, cheese, onions, garlic, ginger, and cilantro over a creamy garlic-y sauce. Absolutely delicious. Paneer Tikka Masala was delicious but tricky to taste after the spicy tanginess of the other pizza. It was definitely milder and creamier, with mushrooms and tomato adding to its umami flavor. The paneer on the pizza was firmer than anticipated, which gave this pizza an interesting texture. Got two large pizzas for takeout. The pizzas are available with the usual toppings like cheese and pepperoni but we decided to get the more "with a twist" types. The chicken tikka masala pizza was really generously topped with tender chicken, plus spiced up with a creamy sauce and even more peppers! Asking for medium spice was still a great idea, because everything was flavorful and the dough offset the spice with its great middle part chew and crunchy edges. The second pizza we got was the paneer pizza : pesto sauce, masala paneer, diced mozzarella, fresh spinach and lots of garlic, green chilies plus sliced red onions : also spicy but not overwhelmingly so. Two pizzas were enough for 4 adults. Food was freshly made and baked . Ready in a reasonable amount of time, still piping hot when it got home. This restaurant was a Denny's or similar place in the 1980's so its layout inside hasn't changed much. Good value and courteous staff. read more

This is totally a fusion place that did not disappoint! There are so many things on the menu along with accommodations for those who have certain dietary restrictions or preferences, so they've got variety for sure! It does have a pretty old looking interior design but is overall very clean inside. There's actually a lot of seating for such a small space. You order at the register and they bring your food to you. Customer service wasn't as warm as other places but they were respectful and provided good service nonetheless. What we ordered: -Samosas: These were pretty spicy (I can't handle too much spice). I loved the crunchiness of the wrapping and the strong flavor of the filling. I think they really balanced each other out well. I wasn't a fan of the sauce it came with, it was kind of sweet, but my mom really enjoyed it. I would definitely get these again! -Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza: To be honest, I think the strong flavor and spiciness of the samosas really prevented me from truly tasting this for what it was, so it tasted bland in comparison to the samosas. BUT it was still really good, more so when the taste of the samosas started to leave my mouth. They are very generous with the toppings and the crust has a nice crunch to it while also being soft inside. I could taste hints of the masala sauce without it being too overpowering. We got the medium spice level and I feel like there were hidden chiles in there or something because it was so spicy! I think next time I have to get mild or something because it got kind of difficult to eat after eating that bite of chile! But again, my spice tolerance level isn't very high. I still really enjoyed the pizza though! Overall, I think this is such a great take on pizza mixed with Indian dishes. It's no doubt very unique! I prefer to order ahead and pick up as the pizzas do take some time prep and cook. I think the lamb bread twist may be an underrated item. It's almost like a pizza, cheaper and I in fact liked it more than the pizza. I've tried both the tandoor and chicken tikka pizzas and both are good picks too. Was going to dine in but they won't give you drinking water. The last three visit, we were at least given drinking water. The staff informed me that the store have no water, I would need to purchase bottle water. So this means the restaurant don't use any H2O. I wonder then how was the pizza dough made without any water. How did they cooked my pasta without water, and how was the sauce made without water. Does this also mean that they don't wash their pots and pan? Since there is no water served at this restaurant, we ended up taking the food home. But then I was prompted for tip on check out......... I should have just canceled the order, the pizza was just ok (this is my fourth time coming here and it WAS GREAT the last three times) it lacked any flavor unlike my previous visit. The chicken wings were raw in the middle. Pasta serving size shrink to about 2/3 of the regular size. For a bill north of $60 for one pizza, one pasta, and one order of wings, this is kind of unacceptable. Don't know what happened, maybe change of ownership or just decline of quality? Each and every dish is jam-packed with flavor and delicious spices! My favorites here are the Paneer Tikka Masala Pizza, Vegetarian Pizza, and Butter Chicken Pasta! Not only is the dough nice and chewy (to the point that I eat the crusts as well - dipped in their homemade ranch sauce), but the pizzas are completely filled to the brim with toppings! For the Indian-inspired pizzas, the spices and flavor carry through and each bite is very delightful. The traditional Vegetarian Pizza is also packed with fresh ingredients and is very delicious!
