I tried this restaurant once many years ago but couldn't remember why I never came back. Today, we were craving pizza by the slice, and our usual spot was closed, so I decided to give them another try. We ordered four slices of pizza. Each slice is $3.75, or you can get two slices for $7.50 plus tax, so there's really no discount. I paid cash and noticed I was charged $7.99 for two slices instead of the advertised $7.50. I pointed it out to the man who took my order, but he insisted I wasn't overcharged. I even showed him the menu and the payment screen, where you could clearly see the discrepancy (see photos), but he was dismissive and said the register never makes mistakes. I had a long day at work and wasn't about to argue over less than a dollar. Still, it's the principle. Charging customers more than the posted price and refusing to acknowledge it is not okay. It made my experience very disappointing. As for the food, we ordered two pepperoni slices, one pepperoni and mushroom, and one ham and pineapple. The toppings were good, but this is definitely not New York-style pizza. The crust was overcooked and so dry that it was close to tasting like cardboard. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you do decide to eat here, pay close attention to the price you're charged and ask for a receipt. read more

Feb 9- It's National pizza Day today!!!!! For pizza lovers here, we had to have pizza for lunch on this day. There was nobody in there, just us plus the lady behind the counter. We got our NY special order - Ricotta Cheese & Meatballs. The beverage fridge was near empty with a few bottles of water and 7-ups. The lady let us know they didn't serve water. The soda vending machine looked broken. All red flags that they are not investing more into this business. Which is VERY SAD! The pizza was great. Not quite NY but still a great pie for being in a strip mall in Artesia. I hope they don't close shop. I hope they care a little more, advertise a bit and draw up some business bc their pizzas are definitely good. Pricing is ok. The large pizza (8 slices) with 2 toppings = $26.52. Recommend 7/10 - hoping the owner puts a little more heart into the environment and promotions to sell pizzas. read more

I have been to 50% of the stores in this plaza and never noticed Brooklynz until a hockey parent suggested it as a post practice dinner. Reviews were phenomenal & I'm thinking about the pizza now. It is 7am. Crust is wonderfully crunchy and the perfect amount of sauce and good quality toppings. Nice foldability and a sturdy thin crust. $26 for a full Bronx (pepperoni, sausage, & meatballs) with 8 giant slices gets my two thumbs up. Great pizza spot located right next to Stater Brothers in Artesia. Originally we wanted a couple slices but they looked sad and there were no veggie options. So we ended up getting a full veggie pie. I was way more impressed with the full pie than the slices. The pizza was loaded with toppings including tomatoes, peppers, onions and even garlic which was great. Crust was thin. I ordered a Manhattan pizza that comes with bell peppers, mushrooms, onion etc... when I got home I and opened the box they had very little toppings. My husband really wanted pizza so we gave this place a try. It's located in the same parking lot as Stater Bros and Chase Bank. There's plenty of parking, but I can see it being very zoo'd out if its really busy. This place is deceptively big - There's a lot of booths and tables to choose from. Order your food at the cashier and they bring it to you. My husband wanted pizza, so he got two slices along with a drink combo. He got a white pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Both were very oily - like oil was dripping off each slice. I blotted it with napkins to cut back on the fat. I tried a bite of the white pizza and didn't think much of it. The cheese was rubbery and kind of squeaked when I was chewing. I didn't like it. My husband wasn't impressed either. He said that it was too oily and very flavorful. Solid thin crust pizza! If you want a New York style pie, this is probably the closest you will get in the general area. Love that they have pizza by the spice even late in the evening, which is rare. Service was very good too. There was just one person there, so probably gets a little hectic as he was taking our order while trying to get a pizza ready for pick up. Not his fault, but was kinda obvious. Non the less, was helpful and didn't try to rush us. The pizza itself was pretty good. Love the crunchy edges, but I prefer a chewier dough and the sauce and toppings were a little light. Customers can either select between a slice or a whole pie. I always opt for the combo special (2 slices and a drink). The pizzas always have a generous amount of toppings. I always like getting vegetarian, cheese, and Hawaiian. They only take orders over the phone and in person. The sodas they offer are Pepsi Products. The inside has a few tables and booths. The total came out to be ~$19 (tax included) for a pretty large pizza. It smelled delicious and was steaming hot. The disappointing part was the taste and not the customer experience. Right away after I grabbed a slice of pizza, all the toppings including all the cheese fell off the slice. There was not a heavy load of toppings or anything. I thought the taste would at least make up for it, but still no. The cheese wasn't anything special and tasted like cheap generic, if not worse than generic, mozzarella cheese that you'd buy at the store. It was salty and heavily greasy. Enough to make you want to dab out the extra grease on top. Overall, it was nothing special. If I had wanted a generic, large pizza for a decent price, I would have gone to Costco or any other pizza chain. Honestly, I would prefer Blaze Pizza over this because at least if the toppings fall off, it's because I overloaded the pizza with heavy toppings. read more

Their NY style pizza is good. Thin but big slices for an 18 inch pie. My brother get this when he's craving for a NY style pizza. We usually get the Long Island and Manhattan. Long Island which is fresh tomato slices, basil, garlic, grated tomato, cheese and no sauce. So in a way it's a huge delicious bread stick with tomatoes and thin slices of basil. Manhattan is completely different from the Long Island. That comes with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, olive, garlic, onion, and bell peppers. It kinda reminds me of a much better version of a combo Costco pizza. I do wish there was more meat but that's just a preference. Both pies together are delicious to have hand in hand. I also expect a little more than average amount of meat and cheese grease on top. Almost to the point where I want to dab a little off. Let me break it down. They have really good Pizza. There Buffalo chicken pizza though... is the Best! It is amazing. I call ahead to see if they have two slices of their Buffalo chicken pizza. If they do, I bring my kids and we have pizza, garlic knots, and drinks. It's wonderful. If they don't have 2 slices of Buffalo chicken pizza, sometimes, they will make it, but most of the time they will not. If that happens, I call the other location and if that location doesn't have 2 slices of bufflo chicken and is not willing to make it, I look at my kids and till them we are going to have to get pizza somewhere else today. The thickness is exactly what a NY pizza would be, allowing for a nice easy fold to eat the pizza. The amount of toppings is sufficient for the size of the pie. It's a bit greasy so it gets the crust a bit soggy if you don't eat it quick enough. All in all, it has great flavor. I always recommend ordering a pie if you want good pizza, instructing of opting for the already-made slices. You just steer clear of old pizza that way. I ordered a large drink as well.
