We have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the food. Today we ordered takeout and there was a live bug in our salad. We called and they really wouldn't do much other than ask if we wanted another salad. Very disappointed and sad that after all these years supporting their business we ultimately won't be returning.

We have been coming here for over a decade. We've hosted 3 parties in the event room, two 50th birthdays and an 18th birthday. We used to come every Wednesday for the family deal. Our favorite is the FLORENTINE SPINACH and CHEESE RAVIOLI with TOMATO CREAM SAUCE. We always order a pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meat sauce. Service is always great and I remember as a child that a magician would visit our table!

The restaurant is small but has such a cozy atmosphere, with just enough tables to feel intimate without being cramped. My husband and I ordered the uni cream pasta and the bolognese - the uni pasta was delicious, rich and briny with that unmistakable uni flavor coming through, however it was a bit too heavy by the end but still worth trying though if you're a fan of uni! The bolognese on the other hand was ABSOLUTELY delicious, probably top 3 pastas I've had in my life. It was really flavorful and you could tell it had been simmered for quite a while, and the wine flavor really complimented the whole dish so well without being overpowering. Both pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and honestly left me wanting more. The chef actually came out and brought us our pastas himself, which was such a kind and personal touch. You could tell he genuinely cared about the food and the experience he was giving us and little details like that made the whole meal feel even more special. Overall such a great find, and I'm so glad I finally checked it out after hearing the hype. Would definitely come back to try more of their menu!

The ambiance was simple yet elegant, with lovely lighting that made the space feel warm and intimate. There was a big event happening in another room, but we could still comfortably hear one another at our table. The sound insulation must be pretty good! We requested to have our food ready when we arrived, and everything was hot and served right on time. The portions were generous, so you definitely get a lot of food for what you order. Their pizzas are a must-try! We ordered the Pepperoni, and I loved the addition of hot honey. We also tried the 19Seventy and Farmers Garden pizzas, and they were great. The pastas were cooked just right, and my personal favorite was the baked rigatoni. Overall, it was a great spot for a big family dinner. I noticed happy hour menu was changed. No more margherita pizza. Only flat bread for the appetizer. Dissapointed! Our server was Jacob, he suggested us to get lunch course fixe menu $25 per person which were one appetizer w small plate, 1 entrée. They had a great selection of appetizers and entrées. We chose Charcuterie, Italian crispy risotto ball called cacio e pepe arancini as 2 appetizers. For 2 entrées, parpadelle bolonese and tie dye margherita pizza w pesto drizzle. It was so flavorful to taste the crispy risotto balls and charcuterie w prosciutto, olive, cheese, and etc. We loved bolonese parpadelle. Give 5 stars. We ordered tie dye margherita pizza for the first time, it was not good. Very oily and ruined the original pizza taste. I asked our server to make real margherita pizza w pesto sauce on the side. Finally it came completely back to original taste. Happy day!! Sometimes the chef developed the new flavors but simple and original recipe was the best in my experience. Today we both were so happy to taste the new menu, lunch course fixe until 4 daily. Great price, great deal, and great taste.... We were sooooo full and took entire pizza and pasta to home. We really enjoyed our afternoon thanks to North Italia. Loved lunch course fixe and happy hour. Great Italian restaurant near our home is more advantage. Recommend everyone for the beers, pizzas, and pastas....awesome!

We enjoyed…read moreour previous dining experience and wanted to return and order some other menu items that piqued our interest. First off, their complimentary bread with the ricotta and marinara spread is totally original and delicious. I've never experienced that from any Italian restaurant I've been to before. My wife ordered the Cannelloni Fiorentina. She treated me to a bite and it was hands down superb with the ground veal, pork, beef, spinach, and parmegiano filling, topped with a Bolognese and touch of Besciamella sauce. I odered the Veal Parmegiano and it was the best one I have ever had. My wife sampled it and agreed. The veal they use was so tender and a very proper portion. We make this at home and thought ours was the best, but this one just blew us away. We ended with their mom's homemade lemon cake that includes a scoop of vanilla ice cream and dollop of whipped cream on top. It was light and refreshing. Our server (Joey) was excellent and very accommodating. He explained everything in detail and kept the beverages filled. We found out he is part of the family of this fine family business. He is very passionate about their restaurant and it shows. The white linen tablecloths and darker interior setting made for a nice feel and ambiance. I think this is our new favorite local Italian family owned restaurant and we will be frequenting here more often.

Appetizers…read more Bruschetta The bruschetta was one of my favorite dishes of the night. As someone who loves bread, I really enjoyed the texture. The bread was lightly toasted and crunchy without being dry, and the fresh parmesan added a creamy texture that paired well with the tomatoes. I personally don't like olives, but they didn't take away from the overall flavor. Everything was fresh, and the balance between the bread, parmesan , and tomatoes was excellent. It was a simple appetizer done right, and I would definitely recommend ordering it. Scampi al Limone The Scampi al Limone was another standout. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was creamy, flavorful, and well balanced. I would personally add a little more lemon for extra acidity, but that comes down to personal preference. Despite the creamy sauce, the dish didn't feel too heavy. Both appetizers tasted fresh, and I appreciated how enjoyable they were without leaving me feeling overly full. As someone who can be sensitive to heavier meals, I had a great experience with both dishes. I would definitely recommend the Scampi al Limone. Entrées Penne Arrabbiata The Penne Arrabbiata had an excellent sauce, but the pasta itself was not my favorite. I prefer my pasta al dente, and this was softer than I would have liked. The texture felt slightly overcooked and gummy, which took away from the dish. The sauce, however, was delicious. It was creamy, rich, and pleasantly spicy, with plenty of flavor. My only issue was that it felt a little too rich for me and left my stomach feeling heavier than I would have preferred. Between the two pasta dishes, I would choose the Rotolo Bolzano. Although the Arrabbiata had a great sauce, the pasta texture and richness made it less enjoyable for me. However, if you enjoy creamy, spicy pasta, it is still worth trying. Rotolo Bolzano The Rotolo Bolzano was my preferred entrée. The portion was just right--not too much food, but enough to leave me satisfied. I also enjoyed how creamy and flavorful it was without feeling too heavy. Compared to the Penne Arrabbiata, this dish felt lighter and more enjoyable overall. I found the texture and richness much more appealing, making it the pasta I would order again. Both entrées had their strengths, but personally, I preferred the Rotolo Bolzano for its balance of flavor, texture, and portion size. Ambience & Overall Experience The restaurant had a low-lit, intimate atmosphere that I thought was perfect for a date night. It felt cozy without being overly formal, making it a great place to enjoy dinner and cocktails. One thing that surprised me was that I live only five minutes away and had never visited this restaurant before. During our visit, our server mentioned that it was a family-owned business, which made me appreciate discovering a local restaurant that has been working to build its business. The restaurant also offers a variety of alcoholic beverages, including cocktails and whiskey, making it a good option for anyone looking to enjoy drinks alongside their meal. If you're looking for an intimate Italian restaurant for a date night or simply want to support a family-owned business, I would recommend giving this place a try. Final Rating: 8/10 Overall, I had a great experience. The appetizers were my favorite part of the meal, especially the Bruschetta and Scampi al Limone. Between the two pasta dishes, I would choose the Rotolo Bolzano over the Penne Arrabbiata because I preferred its texture and how light it felt. I have been to Italian restaurants that I prefer more, but the food, atmosphere, and convenient location make this a place I would return to. Since I live nearby, I would definitely come back whenever I'm craving Italian food. It may not be my favorite Italian restaurant, but it is a great local option, especially for a date night.

Located in the same space at Bakers and Baristas, the restaurant was flipped into Luka in the evening hours. Dimly lit for a romantic vibe, the ambiance was warm yet approachable. What initially drew me to Luka was seeing photos of their Chicken Liver Mousse! The mousse itself is rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious! It comes on a croissant with a seasonal fruit compote (ours was blueberry). It's also so gorgeous! A dish that truly tasted as good as it looks. The next dish we had was the Grilled Oyster Mushrooms. These completely blew us away! Something about the use of agrodolce, garlic, fennel pollen, chili powder, and red harissa made the flavor so savory and complex. I've never had mushrooms prepared in this way before. I will really miss these! We also had the Brussel Sprouts with pork jus glaze, chicharron, scallion, and fresno. I really enjoyed the different textures from the ingredients, including the crunch from the chicharrons. We had to get one of their signature dishes, the Potato Situation! Crispy on the outside with potato and melted provolone on the inside, they give a very generous portion of parmigiano reggiano and chive dust on top. Such a fun dish to cut into! For our last dish, we got the Crab Pasta. It came with fusilli, a rich cream sauce, capers, and calabrian toasted panko--a great ending to the meal! I really enjoyed my meal here and hope that there will be plans to open up Luka again one day!

Portion sizes for both were bigger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. If you're not that hungry, the appetizers here are sort of filling. As for the crab pasta: I liked it, but it's filled in with mainly shredded crab. I ended up taking it home and adding some frozen lobster tail, and that made it feel a tad more complete.
