First timer at Mountain Mike's Pizza. Located in the same strip center as my gym is located. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon with my brother. I downloaded thier app so I recieved a discount on my first order. The eatery is laid out nicely and has a dining area, arcade games, outdoor patio, beer on tap, and a unlimited salad bar. The staff was friendly and accommodating in assisting me on my first visit. We started off with the salad bar which the staff offered to make although we opted to build our own. I was impressed with the salad bar's variety of items and the quality of the product was solid. We followed with a medium specialty pizza which arrived after enjoying our salad, the pizza dough is lighter and the toppings were piled high and tasted great. Overall, It was a positive experience here at Mountain Mike's Pizza. I'll be returning at another location again. read more

Mountain Mike's is a large pizza chain (over 300 in US), that has locations mainly in the Western U.S. It competes with other pizza chains that offer lunch time AYCE pizza buffets. I first heard about it through my credit card offers. Brought my wife and her mom to the closest location in Norwalk when it first opened around 11 am on a weekday (specifically to have the buffet, priced at $11.99 without drink) and found the price and food to be good. The first Mountain Mike's opened near Stanford in Palo Alto in 1978 (it's interesting how some chain restaurants opened first as a local joint on a college campus and then grew to become a lot more than that...Jimmy John's comes to mind, though I am not comparing EIU to Stanford). There are 271 locations in California, with over 30 in SoCal now. The set-up of the restaurant was a bit different than I was expecting from a buffet restaurant. It's located on the first story in a multi-story office building with other restaurants. Parking can be tough: there's a lot of surface parking but the many other businesses in the complex (including a LA fitness) take up a lot of spaces as well. We were one of the first ones to come in. You order and pay first (then handed two plates: one for pizza and one for salad), and find seating in the small indoor dining room (maybe enough seating for 20 diners) or larger front patio (another 20). It doesn't have dedicated steam tables for the pizza, instead the pizzas are put under heat lamps at the front counter, and a very small refrigerated salad section is part of the price. This means the selection is small for both the pizzas and salad bar, and really only 2 people can be selecting at a time. They offer different types of crusts on the menu, but the only one at the buffet was traditional (typical pillowy hand-tossed) with a crispy bottom, but a bit thick for my preference. There is space for 4 pizzas (the kitchen combines different topping slices into one pan, so there are probably 8 different types at a time) and a small basket of cheese bread. The salad bar was basic but the toppings were fresh. Off to the side, there is a self-serve soda fountain with Pepsi products. Next to that, there is a 'Game' section, just 6 different crane games, ripe to take your money. On the initial pizzas, the cheese was plentiful along with plenty of toppings, and the crust was well cooked. As the pizzas were getting refilled, the replacements were not as good: amount of cheese was definitely a lot less and the toppings were more haphazard. I tried both pizzas with marinara (liked) and bbq sauce (not as much). The toppings were good: with the vegetables being sliced thinly so cooked al dente, and the quality of the sausage was solid (far better than Dominos or Pizza Hut). And their classic pepperoni pizza was well liked by our group. Read on-line that at other places, one can ask for specific pizzas to be made for the buffet, but didn't seem like that was encouraged here (since only space for 4 pizzas and no thin crust). Regardless, for $11.99, this is great value, especially with a salad bar. read more

Visited during their lunch buffet, which takes place Mon-Fri 11AM-2PM. With the drink, it came out to be around $16 and without the drink, about $13. I've been here twice in the span of a couple of weeks and there wasnt a crowd, we were able to sit our group of 8 easily. There were 4 pizzas that were half and half different toppings, bread sticks, salad bar with lettuce, a decent variety of veggies, and dressings. The pizza itself was pretty good. The texture, the breading was better than I expected from an AYCE pizza buffet. The BBQ chicken and the pepperoni were probably my faves! Note: they provide discounts for nearby employees when they show their badges! **Does NOT apply to the lunch buffet though read more

I'm so excited to have found an all-you-can-eat pizza, garlic sticks, and salad bar! Monday-Friday from 11am-2pm, they offer lunch buffet (including a fountain drink) for $11.99. After the sixth lunch buffet purchase, you get a free lunch buffet! When I went for the lunch buffet at noon, they had The Everest (classic combination pizza: pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, mushrooms, black olives, bell peppers on red sauce), Pineapple Chicken Luau (grilled chicken, bacon, pineapple on BBQ sauce), Hawaiian (ham and pineapple), Pepperoni (curly pepperoni cups on red sauce), and Garlic Sticks with Cheese. Staff constantly checked in to make sure there were plenty of pizza slices for the patrons, including myself. They have both table and booth seatings. I love how they have claw machines, which gives the pizza joint a fun and inviting vibe. I've also separately ordered a large 14" pizza - half Mt. Veggiemore and half Hawaiian, which was served hot and fresh. Always coming back - whether for their lunch buffet or to order their specialty pizzas! Next time I want to order their Mountain size - 20" which has 20 slices! read more

First time ordering from here & it was delivery. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, individual garden salad with ranch dressing but it's needs more than one side of dressing for this size salad and garlic knots with side marinara sauce but it was missing from the order. The food was good but next time i'll pick up and check it before I leave. Lately it seems all restaurants to go food if you don't check it the order is wrong or missing items. we'll try again read more

Restaurant was so clean but music was a bit loud. Service was great, she helped with the menu and was polite and attentive. Food was amazing. We got a giant Everest pizza that was filled with toppings, cheese bread sticks were the best we've ever had and cookie was warm and delicious. We would recommend and come back for fabulous pizza. My co-worker and I love dropping by for our monthly lunch date, long live the pepperoni at mountain Mike's! Crispy cup pepperoni, the bbq chicken pizza here is also to die for. Gotta come for the lunch buffet. The salad bar is great, and so are the breadsticks! Great value, the place is always tidy, service here is great, Marianna is awesome and so is the other person working alongside her (guy with the glasses) both are always attentive and serving up fresh pizzas. Always enjoy our visits here, music is always really good too! See you next month! read more

Food tastes great!!! And plentiful ingredients on the pizzas. We had a large chicken, pineapple & ham combo. Though a little higher price, it definitely is worth it. read more

Placed an online order which was quick and easy. You can create an account or order as a guest. Hubby picked up our order so I'll have to report back on inside/outside details, as well as in-person service on my next visit. And yes, there's going to be another visit as the pizza was exactly what I was craving. We got a medium create your own, 1/2: 1/2 pizza. Half was pineapple/ham, other half was sausage/mushroom. The crust was perfectly cooked, not soggy. It could've used a little more sauce, but maybe that would make it soggy. The slices were small, however it was the perfect amount of pizza and didn't overly stuff us. All ingredients tasted fresh. I'm glad I signed up for rewards, because we'll be back! read more

First time visit on a Sunday afternoon about 2:30pm. The place was immaculately clean inside, the salad bar looked fresh and untouched and nobody was inside. A friend recommended we eat here so why not? I was so impressed with the quickness of my order, the freshness of ingredients and the never ending toppings on my pizza! It looked so good but the taste? IT MIGHT BE THE BEST PIZZA I've ever had! And the large was soooo large, in diameter and length. One large pizza could probably feed a family of 5 easily. So glad I ate here and this is now going to be my regular pizza place. read more

We ordered 1 pizza for pick up and when I picked it up the box didn't even feel warm. The guy behind the counter barely said 3 words to me and when I walked in there weren't any workers in the front or even visible in the kitchen. We took it home and the pizza wasn't cold but hardly warm. As I was eating I thought the cheese was extra chewy because it wasn't hot. I ate the slice and it didn't taste great to me so I stopped eating. Upon further inspection, I pulled off the cheese and toppings and the top part of the dough was raw. I realized the chewiness was the raw dough and not the cheese. Not to mention, we got very sick that night. I threw almost a whole pizza away, $50 down the drain. read more

Great pizza served to order. And a great size. I ordered the pepperoni and mushroom and it was so good.

Came on a Friday night at 9:30pm and they were closed. Their site says they are open till midnight so idk what that was about.

Wow! Is an understatement! Mountain Mike's Pizza is nothing short of Awesome! If you're looking for a Great Pizza Pie, Look no further. Hands down this is the place. The size of the pizza makes no difference when it comes to toppings on top. Nothing is strategically placed, the topings cover the entire circle. Mike's is an inviting place for dinning. Clean, & fresh, with pleanty of tables inside & an outdoor area to boot. The staff is friendly & efficient. The cooking time seems a bit long, but well worth the wait! Mountain Mike's Pizza will not disappoint your hunger. I'll be back again & again. read more

I honestly kept coming back because I saw it was under new management and would give it a try. The pizza is good, but the wings and boneless wings have deteriorated so much! This last time I ordered boneless wings, there was so much breading and it was not crispy, it was mushy. The inside of the boneless wing was juicy with a slight hint of pink? Needless to say I didn't finish eating them. The service is ok. But I do with employees washed their hands more often and stopped from pulling up their pants so constantly before handling my meal seems a bit unhygienic. read more

Always love mountain mikes!! But hour fifteen to make one pie? Thanks for the inconvenience.

This is a really good establishment, family ambiance and great place to have a Pizza Party! Really Great Tasting Pizza and Wings, Jay and Rebecca provided exceptional service that made our experience enjoyable. Definitely will be back! Highly recommended to give them a try read more

I came here and first thing I saw was the door was planked up so I assume there was a recent break in. Right off the bat though this place was pretty filled up when I came at 7 pm on a Friday. I tried to order through the app for dine in but the app really sucks so I ended up just coming in person and putting an order. The order took about 30 minutes to prepare, yeah it takes awhile and the food is bit on the pricey side for pizza (almost $30 for a large) but dang the food was definitely top tier for pizza and wings. Here is what I got. Thin Crust Heart Shaped Sausage Pizza - I got the $30 heart shaped pizza and mini churros. Thin crust makes the pizza look small but it's SO GOOD. The marinara sauce was just right and the sausage was good quality. I ate the whole pie. (5/5) Honey Garlic Wings - This took 30 minutes to prepare but was like the best wings I've ever had. Super moist and soft, flavors hit and were good. (5/5) Mini Churrs - If you get the heart shaped pizza this is a cheap must add. For $2.99 extra you get like 10 pieces of churros which equate to maybe 2 full length ones. It's deliciously fried and perfectly sweet, a nice end meal treat. (5/5) So I can see why people come to mountain mikes. The food here is definitely top tier for its type. Always is a wait for your food but it's probably because they are making everything fresh. Best to order ahead if you don't want to wait but service was good and everyone was super helpful. read more

Pleasant surprise! Seems unusually difficult to find really good pizza these days. My first time at Mountain Mike's. Toppings were good and a good amount of them. Cheese was excellent. IMHO the thickness of the pizza was just right. It seemed a bit pricey at first but I was able to get a few meals off of it so looks like it was priced reasonably. (Good food ain't cheap!) Pizza was ready when they said it would be. read more

Classic comfort pizza with crispy pepperoni perfection! If you're craving loaded, old-school pizza, Mountain Mike's delivers. Their curly pepperoni is the star of the show -- crispy edges, tons of flavor, and they don't skimp. The crust has a nice chew without being too thick, and the sauce leans slightly sweet, which balances nicely with the salty toppings. I usually go for the Everest or Pepperoni, and they're always stacked with toppings. The garlic cheesy bread is also a must -- gooey, garlicky, and super satisfying. This location was clean, service was fast, and they had TVs playing the game, which was a nice bonus. Great spot for families or post-game hangouts -- classic arcade vibes and big portions make it a fun, casual stop. Tip: Check their app or site for coupons -- the regular menu prices are a bit steep without a deal. Not gourmet pizza, but exactly what you want when you want pizza-pizza. read more

We visited for the weekday lunch buffet, which offers AYCE pizza, a salad bar, and beverages. The salad bar had limited options for an actual salad and had soggy vegetables. However, the pizza was yummy, featuring a variety of flavors and quickly replenished to ensure freshness. The cheesy bread was also delicious. Overall, it was a great deal for $11.99! read more

The service was horrible poor Uber was waiting and waiting for the delivery and their salad was no good paying for something that is not good. It was like it had been frozen and taken out of the freezer. It was terribly bad. I sent them a text. They never answered me back. I would never recommend this place. My "Daughter" thought it was a good place. I told her no more will order from them read more

First time in, at any Mountain Mike's Pizza location, and it was great!! I don't know what I was expecting, but it exceeded my expectations. Came to bi weekly lunch with mom. We walked in and Lance greeted us. I told him it was our first time here and he explained the lunch buffet and the rewards program they have. He was very patient. My mom and I asked a bunch of questions. His customer service was awesome. We decided on the buffet. It doesn't offer many items, but there is a variety of pizza and it was fresh. The salad bar was fresh and delicious as well. There were 8 different types of pizzas. The buffet is $13.99 w/ fountain drink, Pepsi products, or $11.99 without drink. They also have a 15% senior discount. Great price! The dining room is clean and spacious. There are 4 big screens, as well. They have 10 draft beers Lots of parking. read more

I love this place I recommend it 1000 % it's so good and clean you cannot go wrong with this place

average pizza, nothing especial. the place is clean, service is good. 2 small pizzas,1 fountain drink $52 My opinion is that the only thing you can do is make a better tasting pizza, go to other pizza places try, make yours better. read more

We wanted some thing different and this place Ahmad been open for a bit. Pizza was so so. Wings sub par. But that's en and my family. Everyone has different likes, but for us we will never be going back. Not worth the price for us. I'd rather spend a bit more and go to so cal pizza. read more

It's a good thick fluffy flavorful pizza but I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around a $30 large pizza. The pepperoni was crisp and plentiful so I can see why folks prefer this over local mom and pop shops that are as delicious but cheaper. I honestly don't think I'll come here again unless they offer a special of some sort read more

Food was amazing We really enjoyed our take away order Pizza was delicious and worth the lofty prices Will be going back Place is small but clean And will eat there next time read more

Yearning for more? 1/2 The pizza was pretty good overall. The crust and cheese were standouts, easily surpassing those of other popular chains. The use of whole milk mozzarella added a delightful richness to the cheese, earning extra points. However, the sauce wasn't my favorite. A bit sweet, and didn't have much flavor to it. While the crust thickness was enjoyable, a slightly thinner crust would have been preferable for a more balanced bite. I'll have to check next time to see if they offer thinner options. Expenses: 1/1 The cost of the pizza was reasonable considering the quality and taste. It didn't feel like a good deal or ripoff, right in the middle. Location: 1/1 I've only had their pizza delivered, but have had zero issues and the pizzas came exactly as ordered. Possibility of a Future Visit & Recommendation: 1/1 I would definitely order from here again. They serve a pretty darn good pie. read more

The pizza was ok. The salad bar was sub par, but both not to bad. However, the young lady taking orders needs to learn a little about customer service. Leave the attitude at home. I can walk in happy and ready for a great experience, then run into her. Just ruins the experience. One more thing. 4 big tvs, all off. I'll try it again because the pizza was ok. This actually was my 2nd time there both times I was greeted with attitude. Please fix this. read more

The service was great, friendly and helpful. Place is clean and nice setup, but it will be nice to have an adult game board or something but kid friendly too, lots of TV screens and seating. Food , we ordered pizza and churros, OMG....it was so yummy, fresh, and I so enjoyed it all. Thanks Jay, appreciate you and will definitely be back!! read more

As much as I want to like this place for its buffet. I just can't anymore. Why can't I replace my plate after each serving? I was told today they did not want to stack up dishes. So, I had to keep eating off the same plate. No one replaces their plate after each serving when they order the buffet. That's buffet manners 101. Every buffet restaurant has multiple plates stacked and ready to use, but you can't get another plate. read more

Passed this place on the way to somewhere else and was interested in trying it. It was very clean and the employee was welcoming and when he found out it was our first time he made some recommendations. I like a simple pizza - cheese & ham (or can bacon) and my husband has to have a gluten free crust which they offer. We also got their wings the honey garlic if i remember correctly and then i got the garlic knots. The wings were FANTASTIC but incredibly tiny. Like you can tell these chickens are organic non-gmo cuz they were teeeeny wings. My husband was shocked to pay what we did for such tiny wings. I was not impressed by the pizza myself and didnt get much ham on it (it was a personal size so thats probably why). My husband thought his crust and toppings were good. The biggest disappointment were the garlic knots. I expected buttery salty hot garlic knots that are dripping with calories. Unfortunately they were very dry with hardly any flavor. I had to take them home and dump garlic salt and melted butter all over them and it was like a totally different bread. Overall theres room for improvement but i would still recommend them! The place wasnt crowded and had lots of big tvs. I probably WILL go back for the wings cuz the flavor was amazing but the pizza was meh. read more

This is hands down some of the best pizza I've had! Although their wing flavors are good, most wings are small in size. The one thing I dislike about this location is the service. The times that I've gone to dine in an hour and a half before closing you can tell they're in a rush to leave so definitely not the best service, they just care about getting out. Love watching sports and wish they had the TVs on more often. Couple times I've gone the TVs are off. Would definitely help with the vibes and keep people longer with something to watch! Hopefully these things can be improved. read more
