Soooo good, the cambodian dirt was AMAZING. I'm a huge fan of lemon pepper wings and an even bigger fan of lemon grass in asian dishes. The dirty elvis really does live up to the hype, it's like a teriyaki sauce on steroids. The sweet and spicy garlic was a great bite as well, like a grown up orange chicken vibe. I've been seeing Shlap Muan pop up on my feed for a while, and today I finally gave it a shot. I originally planned on grabbing my order to-go and eating in my truck, but the cashier was so welcoming and genuine that I decided to stay and have lunch there instead. I'm glad I did. I ordered the 10-piece, splitting it between the Dirty Elvis and the Spicy Cambodian Dirt, along with an order of fried rice. Let me just say this... the Dirty Elvis is hands down the best wing I've ever had. I'd never had wok-tossed wings before, and now I get the hype. They came out piping hot, perfectly glazed, incredibly sticky, and absolutely loaded with flavor. The Spicy Cambodian Dirt was just as impressive with an amazing dry rub and the perfect amount of heat--enough to let you know it's there without overpowering the flavor. The crazy part? These wings honestly don't even need ranch. But I'm a ranch guy, so I ordered both the regular ranch and the lemongrass ranch. Big mistake... because now they've ruined ranch for me too. Both were incredible. And can we talk about the fried rice? So many wing spots throw fried rice on the menu as an afterthought. Not here. This was some of the best fried rice I've had--perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. The food is outstanding, but what really makes this place special is the people. Came on a Monday afternoon, and the place was packed. The staff here was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making for a great overall experience. We ordered the 2-3 Person Meal ($33) with the Cambodian Dirt and Water Buffalo wings and a side of fried rice. Our order came out super quick, too. The portions were generous for both the wings and the fried rice, making it a great value. These are easily some of the best wings I've had. The wings were perfectly crispy on the outside while staying juicy on the inside. They were very filling, and each flavor was seasoned and sauced exceptionally well. The good: For starters, the wings were cooked perfectly and very meaty. I ordered the 5-6 family pack plus 2 orders of the wok tossed wings and 4 extra wings. We picked them up and ate them the following day. Popped them in the oven and they came out nice and crispy. I bet they are even better when fresh. The sauces and dry rubs were all delicious and flavorful. I live in SD, so I wanted to try all of the sauces. I don't know when I'll be back lol. The side dipping sauces were also really good. The lemongrass ranch, regular ranch, sweet chili, and water buffalo. The not so good: We got fried rice and garlic noodles. They were both supposed to have chicken on them, but they ran out of chicken. We opted to switch them to shrimp and unfortunately they forgot the shrimp on the garlic noodles which we did end up paying for. The fried rice was okay, but kind of bland. It didn't pack the fried rice flavor we were expecting. The garlic noodles were also just okay. They were not as flavorful as people rave about in my opinion. The shrimp were delicious though. They were cooked perfectly, they were nice and plump, and flavorful. We also got a side of fries and they were just basic fries. Nothing bad about them just basic. The bad: Ordering on their website is a pain in the butt. There are wing flavors missing, sides missing, no side dipping sauces to choose from, and overall the ordering platform just isn't very good. Ordering the family pack had no option to choose the sides except fries. It gave options of water buffalo, sweet chili, and orange habanero for side sauces. I chose all three. There were not options to chose ranch or lemon grass ranch. When ordering that amount of wings, you should be able to choose more than 4 flavors too. If I'm ordering 72 wings I want to be able to get all the different options. Even with the 10 person family pack you can on select a certain amount. Packaging wise the wing boxes weren't labeled so we pretty much had to guess the flavors which was a bit of a let down because I would have liked to know what flavor I was eating. The only obvious ones were the wok tossed ones. They also forgot my water buffalo wings. Luckily I ordered some side sauces. Service: I called to ask about the sides and explain the difficulty I was having with ordering. The lady was super nice and said she would update the ordering platform and call me back when it was ready. She did update it, but I never received a call back. I just kept checking the website. Overall: 5 stars for flavor 2 stars for packaging 3 stars for service 1 star for ordering platform. I was at a Cambodian new years event and this restaurant was one of the vendors/booth. I'm so glad I tried it! These are one of the best chicken wings I've ever had aside from my own chicken wings. I got their most popular flavor, dirty elvis and cambodian dirt. Lol. Their most popular wings dirty Elvis are indeed delicious! Its robust in flavor. First tried their food at the Cambodian Festival a few months ago (around April 2026) on LB City College. Wife and I loved the flavors of the Cambodian Dirt wings! They were so flavorful, so juicy and perfectly cooked. Craving the experience again, we visited their restaurant a couple days ago and unfortunately, the experience was vastly different. The wings that day were very small and very dry. They seemed over cooked, it was hard to bite into them. Our young daughter had difficulty biting into them.The flavor of the rub was still pretty good, but the cook on the wings was terrible that day, definitely not like they were at the Cambodian Festival. Additionally, they ran out of garlic noodles and fried rice, so we didn't get to try them. And the inside of the restaurant was very dirty. Crumbs and food debris strewn over many tables made it unappetizing to sit and eat. Trash was overflowing in the waste bin right as you walk into the restaurant as if it were erected to attract the cockroaches in the plaza. It just makes your skin crawl. We definitely will not be dining within the restaurant ever again, but we may return to try out more food/wing flavors in the future. Please do better. This is your business, this is your store. Shlap Muan is one of our favorite chicken wing spots in the area! We first discovered Shlap Muan at Smorsgaborg as well as Coachella and was so glad that they had a physical store in Long Beach. Shlap Muan is located in a small strip mall. Parking on the weekedays sometimes during lunch can be a bit tight but evenings/weekends isn't as bad. The shop is very chill and straightforward. The cashier/service is always top notch in case you have any questions about the flavors and wings. In terms of ordering, they have some side items like garlic noodles and fried rice as well as fries (which are our favorite out of the 3 - you can also add dry seasoning from any of the wing flavors). But of course, the main star is the chicken wings. The wings are separated out into the a few categories. The left side of the menu are their standard wings with either dry or wet flavorings and come in increments that double starting at 4. Our favorites here are the Cambodian Dirt and Water Buffalo which both pair well with the special wings. On the right side of the menu are their two special wings. We sadly haven't tried the Tamarind Tiger yet but do absolutely love their Dirty Elvis. It's caramelized, gooey, and has a wonderful balance of sweet and savory without going overboard on either end. These wings start at 10 wings to start with. There are ways to mix and match with some of these options so worth asking! The orders never take too long to take out and not only come out nice and hot but usually the staff is super generous to add in 1-2 extra pieces. The shop also has wipes as well as hand sanitizer as well as some drink options like water bottles. Schlap Muan was popped up at Smorgasburg this past Sunday and I had a chance to try them ~ Yay! Their main SoCal location is in Long Beach, and gluten free Cambodian chicken wings are their speciality. My bestie and I decided to try the Cambodian Dirt and Pekang Wang flavors. I appreciated the strong crisp flavor of the Cambodian Dirt! Apparently their signature flavor, it's a nice twist on lemon pepper seasoning. The Pekang flavor is meant to be like peking duck and I liked this flavor, as well. Cambodian Dirt was def my winner of the two flavors, though I still need to try all their other offerings. The wings were tasty and flavors were dry rubbed. We didn't try any of the sauces but next time, I have my eye on a few! i love shlap muan, and i'm so happy that it got highlighted recently on the andrew, stephen, and adam channel!! They definitely deserve all the recognition, and they hold true to having delicious flavors while the wings remain crispy! I wish they still had their smoothies, but all of the food is delicious, and you can't go wrong with any of the menu options. If you have the stomach space, definitely recommend having wings over some of their rice (and maybe with an egg)! Great restaurant and hidden spot :) the seating's a little limited, so I don't recommend going in super big groups read more

I say about 4 1/2 stars wings are fire any flavor you get they are the bests wings out here literally now I had the garlic noodles and the fried rice. Noodles are good just underneath crustaceans love it that is plentiful enough for one person to have at least two lives on the noodles alone to me. It had just a little bit too much of a roasted garlic, and I'm a roasted garlic fan I eat garlic straight so for this one to be a little over season for me with garlic means they're using a lot of garlic. What classify the noodles about a four and a fried rice about a 3 1/2 so go here if you love the crispiest wings available even 30 minutes later they were still crispy and tasty and my favorite is the jalapeño, but don't forget the dirty Elvis read more

I'm a chicken connoisseur I love all types of chicken so I know my chicken. I've wanted to try this place out because I've seen it on YouTube. Food: 3/5 We had four flavors dirty Elvis was the best tasting sauce they had and it was aight we tried the Cambodian dirt and it tasted like lemon pepper I was hyped for it but it was aight sweet and spicy garlic it was too sweet for me and the peanut sauce was good but nothing that amazed me. Overall the garlic noodles was gas and the best thing on the menu. I was told that it doesn't taste the same as it used to. Overall let down on the food. For the price the wings are delicious big and juicy. I try every wing ill be back for the other three and I will try combining sauces. Service amazing Vivian was great at explaining the menu and flavors. Finally made the trek back here from SGV for a second time! It pains me to write this, but the experience was sadly not as pleasant. To start off, prices have been adjusted for inflation. Sophia had mentioned this when we were there last, so this was expected. New menu with their updated prices attached. The good: The wings were still pretty amazing. My bf and I got to try two more flavors--the Tamarind Tiger and Water Buffalo--and they were both really good! The Tamarind Tiger was sweet and tangy, and so good coated in these crispy garlic bits. I'm actually not the biggest fan or typical buffalo wings, but these were incredible! Buttery and so flavorful! The Dirty Elvis is still my favorite, but these are definitely up there. We also decided to add shrimp as our protein to the garlic noodles for an extra $5 this visit, and this is totally worth it! I believe that the shrimp was a recipe that Hawk kept from his parents' restaurant, and they are the best! Highly recommend! The bad: We were greeted by a girl in training (at least I hope she is) while a seasoned guy worker observed and helped when she had questions. We didn't realize that she hadn't put in the Water Buffalo wings order with the rest until our order came out because we were never given a receipt. While she offered to give our drinks first while we waited for the food, she promptly forgot after we paid and told us to take a seat; we waited to see if she would remember but we still ended up needing to go up and ask. Her demeanor felt defensive to me, so we actually waited until the seasoned guy was behind the counter to place our wings to go. The worst (in my opinion): I overheard the girl in training offering this to another customer, and was taken aback when the seasoned guy offered the exact same thing to us. Allow me to elaborate. The premium wings (Dirty Elvis and Tamarind Tiger) are $16 for 10, so $1.60 a piece, while the non-premium wings are $6.50 for 4, $12 for 8, so forth, so $1.50 a piece. The minimum premium wings order is 10 pieces and for the non-premium 4 pieces. When we tried to place our order for a 10-piece of the Tamarind Tiger and a 4-piece of the Water Buffalo to go, the guy offered with such enthusiasm to split the 10-piece order into 5 Tamarind Tiger and 5 Water Buffalo. My issue with this "offer" is that now you're trying to charge us premium wing prices for non-premium wings, since we'd still pay the full $16 for the 10 wings. You are essentially offering to charge us more for the non-premium wings with this "offer" and playing it off like you're doing us a favor. We even clarified and were told that they cannot split between the two premium series, and only between premium and non-premium series. It's not so much the actual cost difference, but the principle for me. Not cool, Shlap Muan. I saw that the new menu now offers ranch (and even a lemongrass ranch) after another Yelp review complained that this establishment didn't, so I sincerely hope that the same consideration will be given to this updated review. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Shlap Muan Chicken Wings at the LB Craft Beer Festival! I decided to try the 10 wing combo with Cambodian Dirt (lemongrass pepper) and Water Buffalo (described as "the best damn water buffalo sauce"). Both were delicious! Having dry and wet wings was the best choice to sample a couple flavors. Having anything lemongrass flavored is a no-brainer for me as it's one of my favorite flavors and it was done right! The Water Buffalo was tasty - a bit of heat without being overbearing and the additional sauce was nice to dip some of the Cambodian dirt into. I'd like to try other flavors the next time I'm in the mood for wings. read more

My all-time favs are the Dirty Elvis and Cambodian Dirt. The water buffalo and mango habanero wings were good, but... I wished they were spicier! just not spicy enough. Lol My 8 y/o lil guy loves the garlic noodles after a long day at the beach. I would pack them for him in a ziplock bag. Now, every time we leave the beach, he says, "I wish I had some of that garlic noodle." Customer service is always great! Always loved their service. I miss seeing the aunty face that was always there! Hardly see her now, I hope she's taking her vacations! She deserves it. read more
