Ordered online for pickup and it was ready in 15-20 min -- pretty quick! Ordered a lemongrass chicken burrito and a mixed platter to try. Been eyeing a hainan chicken burrito after seeing it on social media and it sounded very appealing. Ordered less rice extra cabbage for my burrito. Must eat with the sauces! Entrance was clean and very organized. Looked like you could order from a kiosk too. The chicken was OK. It's not like the hainan chicken you could find in San Gabriel though. It's missing some ginger/oil marinade so it's more of a clean tasting chicken. Without the sauce I think it's def missing some flavor. Interesting idea though I wish the chicken had better seasoning. I actually saw this play on their TT page, one of the female employees did a pretty funny video. I was gonnabe in LBC, so why not. The place is quaint and cozy, not much indoor seating. The decor of it all was urban and fun. I ordered the mix plate, fried chicken and lemongrass with a side of chicken skin. When I got my order it was actually the girl In the video! I hate to do this and had no plans to post this review but the experience was so appalling that I had to review. We came here for the first time for dinner. It was such a weird experience, when we walked in, we got greeted and that was it. So we started looking through the kiosk, and tried to place our order. Beware of the "combo", the price listed is for only the chicken plate, then you add in your drink order. I don't believe there's any discount if you order separately or as a combo. We were trying to pay and got "timed out". There was another party that walked in, and immediately got help at the cashier. At that point, why did we get sent to the kiosk instead of helped by the cashier to ring up our order. Luckily, they took our order then had us pay. Overall, food was not bad, but not the best. We ordered the two chicken plate - one with fried and original and the other fried and lemongrass with sugarcane juice. Like another helper said, the sugarcane juice was a little brown versus the green I'm used to, but it was tasty, The fried chicken was dry. Like over fried dry crispy, not in the good way. The lemongrass and original was a similar taste, once you dip in their sauces it tasted the same. The chicken skin was good, nice and crispy. Overall, this would have been a 3* but a few days later we found out that we were charged twice. We called immediately and was given the run around and they didn't believe us. We have been trying to work with you. It's not fraud. Of course we weren't given a receipt, one for the "time out" and the other at the counter. I've had Burd bookmarked a for a while now, and finally got to try it. I'm new to Hainanese chicken rice, but have been becoming a fan. There is something simple, yet rich about the dish. Me and my husband ate here this week. We split the Classic Burrito. It had yellow rice, chicken, cabbage, cilantro cucumber and green onions. Chili ginger sauce came in a little ramekin on the side. The burrito was great! The sauce really made it. *yummy* I really liked the type of rice in it; I believe it's cooked in chicken broth. They do charge a 4% fee for using credit. Seems like a good to go or sit down place but all the food packaged to go it seems. One of the workers came out and talked to us to see how the food was and it was super sweet. As much as I miss and loved Yang Chow (RIP slippery tofu), I do like a Hainan Chicken and am happy that this place got replaced with another different but equally satisfying rice bowl joint. I got the mixed chicken plate so it came with yellow rice, a bed or shredded cabbage and 2 slices of cucumber with the original chicken and the lemongrass chicken. It reminds me of L&L bbq which I dont care for the cabbage either at least it is used to absorb the grease/flavor of the meat but Burds original and lemongrass chicken has no grease. I ordered the Mixed Burd Combo with the 50/50. As soon as I opened the container, a strong raw chicken smell hit me. I checked all the chicken to make sure nothing was undercooked and it looked cooked, but the smell was hard to ignore. I threw it on a pan for a bit just to be safe. When I tasted it, the raw chicken smell still seemed to be there. I tried covering it up with the sauces, but I just couldn't get past it and ended up throwing it away. For the price, the portion size was pretty small and the flavor was just okay. Between the cost, limited amount of food, and the strong raw chicken smell, I was pretty disappointed. My family and I love hainan chicken, but we usually have to drive far for a decent one. We came during the soft opening of this new restaurant and we're so happy to finally have a spot locally that serves it! The chicken was moist, tender, and cooked perfectly. The sauces were just right and really complemented the chicken well, adding great flavor without overpowering it. It definitely satisfied our craving for good chicken and rice. We tried their classic, krispy, and lemongrass (going forward I think we'll only pick the classic and krispy since the lemongrass isn't as lemongrassy as how I wanted it for a "lemongrass chicken"). The ordering process was really convenient with the easy touch-screen self-ordering system, and the food came out quickly, which made the experience even better. They also had ordering at the counter available, but I preferred the touch-screen. The only downside is that I wish there was a bit more seating inside.
